K.My father and I phoned the Nautilus at about 11am driving from Wellington and had planned to drive from there to Napier in one go but knew we would arrive very late (12am) when we phoned and told them they were happy to save the room and wake up when we arrived. When we arrived they had upgraded us to the most expensive room in the motel WITH A SPA/HOT TUB inside. Totally for free.
They were the most lovely people and were so friendly and kind, they stayed up very late and let us call their personal phone number to wake them. So kind and genuine people.

J.Big clean room, unfortunately this summer weather was too hot to have a soak in spa bath. Lovely sitting on balcony looking out at ocean & people watching. Had dinner in restaurant, delicious seafood chowder & then hubby & myself had seafood platter which was delicious . Reception was very friendly

R.Unfortunately, this was a bit of a let down. The rooms are in need of a decent clean, and our first room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Layers of dust were caked on the top of skirtings and top edge of TV. The room cleaning is clearly minimal. A lovely brown scum ring formed around the bath when we used it for the first time. The place really needs a renovation, and dare I say, some owners with more care. Lovely ocean views.
S.This is our go to hotel in Napier. Beautiful views. Great rooms with all the creature comforts needed including spa tubs in the room and smart TV's. Mini bar and snacks in room's at additional cost. On site restaurant is amazing and the management and staff are friendly and helpful.

E.The room we had was lively and soundproof, did not hear any noise at all from other guests, very comfortable bed. The kitchen cupboards needed a bit of a spruce up and the parking was a bit tight for larger vehicles.
T.Very comfortable rooms right on Marine Parade, with evening views over the foreshore reserve and down to the ocean. The staff were friendly and polite, and the food was simply excellent! Bathroom floors tend to get a bit wet if you use the spa bath, but a few towels will take care of that. A great place to stay.

A.Disappointed and don't feel it is worth what you pay for it. Spa bath ran out of hot water before I could fill it. When I asked the receptionist about it this later she said if I had contacted her she would have boosted the hot water temperature but shame they don't tell you about this beforehand.
Sheet had a stain on it. Outside table had cigarette ash on it. Seaview was lovely but be aware there is lots of traffic noise as very close to one of Napier's main drags. Could do with double glazing.

t.I had a lovely time here at the Nautilus, great customer service the lady in the front desk was so nice and talkative. The rooms are nice and tidy, lovely spa pool and a beautiful view of the ocean this is the second time coming here and it is definitely worth the money.
H.Beautiful view, great location and an amazing room, what more can you ask for? The rooms are huge and offer either open plan living or you can close off areas as well which is great. The furniture is really comfy and there are leather chairs.
The spa pools are amazing in the rooms and can easily fit two people which is great for a romantic weekend away.

We received the choice & viewing of 2 units, both equally outstanding, before we had even booked the unit. Would HIGHLY recommend The Nautilus Napier to anyone wanting a real getaway with amazing views over the Napier beachfront. We are lying in bed watching the sunrise appearing over the water. Outstanding & worth waking up at 7am while we await our beautiful breakfast delivery.

B.Fantastic clean apartment. Nice views from the balcony but was a little too cold to sit outside when we were there. King Room with a spa was spacious and the spa bath was huge. Good location within walking distance to some great restaurants and the beach is just across the road. Definitely worth the money for your stay in napier

L.Very nice motel, with quality rooms. I'm surprised it doesn't have a better rating : 180$ for a double bedroom with spa and view over the ocean, free carpark and free wifi during peak Christmas season : it was a bargain. It's right by the beach and many cafés and restaurants, the staff is very polite, the rooms are super clean, well equiped, and the beds are super comfy. I recommend this place !! Only downsides : plugs by the bed to charge the phones are not easy to reach, and there's no towel in the kitchen area.
R.We stayed here a few years ago and it was great. Sadly it is looking and feeling tired. The bathroom door didn't always stay closed as the lock was no longer on. The extraction fan above the bath was disgusting. The bed wasn't that comfortable - a bit hard. It was, however, quiet and close to town.
L.Great rooms, great views. Heated blankets in the bed, had a spa bath in the same room, large shower, a heated mirror, and heated towel racks. Large balcony and full length doors. It was quiet and comfortable. Recommended.
N.Very friendly staff and nice clean accommodation. Beautiful view, and modern fixtures. Spa was nice and big. Will definitely look to visit again sometime. Only thing wrong was the coffee plunger gauze was well worn and fell apart during use which, while repairable by screwing the gauze back in, wasted the one coffee packet provided with the room.
K.Absolutely the best service, we arrived late and got an amazing room. The man at the reception was very lovely and so helpful. What made it even more special was my partner asked me to marry him while staying it was prefect. Will diffently be back when we come to the North Island again.

J.A nice quiet apartment style hotel which is about ten minutes walk away from the city centre on Marine Parade. Fabulous views across the ocean and beach. Rooms are clean and modern if a little basic but the spa bath is a real treat! Simple but wholesome breakfast with great coffee, staff are friendly and helpful. Could do with a few more parking spaces but plenty of on street parking areas so no real problem. Wireless internet signal was weak in my room, even in other areas where the signal was stronger the speed wasn't much to write home about.
R.Our mid-February stay here coincided with for the start of Napier's 'Art Deco' weekend. The town was immersed in the `30's. Historic cars and their owners dressed in period were everywhere. It was Napier's annual spotlighted weekend. Needless to say when I was trying to book lodging months in advance, there was nary a place to stay. I was lucky to book the last room facing Marine Parade ... an 'Executive Suite' at the Nautilus Hotel.
The property is a bit dated, but our room was spacious and comfortable. It had a large balcony with ocean and parade views. Even better, it had a large Jacuzzi style spa which more than fit the both of us just fine.
As this was our first time in Napier AND we had no idea of the goings on for 'Art Deco' weekend, we were glad the staff filled us in on all the particulars. They were most accommodating and made our stay at the Nautilus even more special.
I would love to come back to Napier. When I do the Nautilus Hotel will be on my 'A' list.
C.The booking process was really easy and great service when arrived.The room was very clean, organized and well stocked.
A.Pros: Extremely spacious room included a huge whirlpool tub, seating area, table, kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, electric range and assorted dishes/cookware) and balcony with small patio table. Large folding veranda doors allow you to open the whole outer wall. Like many hotels in NZ, the bed had an electric heater, which I appreciated since I stayed in late autumn and got chilly at night. Nice clean bathroom (though oddly, total-glass shower stall lacked any soap dish or place to set a shampoo bottle). Hotel is conveniently located along the Marine Parade, just across the street from the skate park and playground, and only a short walk from the aquarium. If you don't mind a bit of a hike, you can access the museum, city center, restaurants, etc. by foot via the paved beachfront walkways.
Cons: Although it's a three-story hotel, it's built motel-style, with outdoor stair access. There is no passenger elevator. There is a baggage lift (put suitcase in, go upstairs, push button to call), but it is locked from 9PM to 7AM, which meant when I had to catch an early flight I had to lug my 50-pound suitcase down from the top floor via the stairs. If you have mobility or stair restrictions, be sure to request the ground floor. There was also a fair amount of noise from motorcycles and street traffic, as well as some kids who were having an innocent but very noisy time nearby.
Other: There are pay laundry facilities onsite, but I didn't use them. There is also a hotel restaurant, but likewise, I did not eat there.
Overall: While it's clearly an older building and has some limitations in the lack of soundproofing and lift, the rooms are reasonably up-to-date and have a lot of nice features.
V.We had the garlic bread and the corn fritters for our entrees. For our meals, we both had steak with a baked potato. The pricing was very reasonable and the service was amazing. Very much recommend this restaurant
S.Stylish comfortable spacious room with good sized balcony overlooking the sea front. We loved the motel wthe location by the sea and close to the centre. The WiFi seemed a bit slower than some other places and I resorted to my own data at times but otherwise fantastic.

N.Room was ok. Awake most of the night because of old people making loud love and playing music in the room next door. When I rang reception I gave the wrong room number by mistake so they couldn't sort the neighbours . I sorted them out then could sleep.

D.I stay here often on Bussiness and find it a fantastic place to say. I have never found the noise to be an problem and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They have great rooms which are very spacious and make you feel like your at home.
This has been my first choice for accomadation for both myself, collegues and also customers.
Would recommend it to any one.

The location of the hotel is good, it is a short walk to the Art Deco district. We had visited the restaurant in the hotel for dinner. It was okay.
Because of the ants and the rather rude handling of the misunderstanding about our length of stay, only 3 points.

Die Zimmer sind schön gross. Dies hatten auch ein paar Ameisen gemerkt, die sich in unserem Badezimmer breit machten.
Wir haben am späten Abend für 2 Nächte eingecheckt - wurden dann am folgenden Tag um Mittag brüsk darauf hingewiesen, dass wir wieder gehen können, da das Zimmer verkauft sei. Okay - das Missverständnis kann durch mit mich nicht klar dem Hotel zugewiesen werden.
Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, es ist ein kurzer Fussweg ins Art Deco Viertel. Wir hatten das Restaurant im Hotel zum Nachtessen besucht. War ganz okay.
Wegen den Ameisen und dem eher rüden Umgang mit dem Missverständnis über unsere Verweildauer aber nur 3 Punke.
