M.Best working hostel in NZ! Rob (manager) goes well out of his way to get you a job and makes you feel at home. I ended up staying for around 7 months and during lockdown! It is a working hostel so everyone stays long term and has a job. Made friends for life here and have so many amazing memories.
S.I stayed here for about a month and it was pretty nice - wifi was generally really reliable and the kitchen has all the utensils and appliances you might want (blenders, food processors, etc.). They also have bikes that you can use for free, which was great. It can get noisy sometimes but beside that it's an excellent place to stay.
A.Wallys is a home away from home, that's all I can say.
Rob (the manager) will find you a job as quick as possible and takes good care of the hostel and the people living in it 😊
A.Most of the people staying here are working in napier or staying for a long period, but every one is really nice and helpful.
It has some parking spots, some dining tables on the garden, and nice kitchen facilities, but sometimes it's a bit small for the amount of people staying there.
You can either stay in dorms or in private rooms.

N.(Translated) When I arrived at this hotel I thought I would stay at most 2 weeks eventually I stayed there for 5 months. It's a very good working hostel that balances workflow with celebration. ROB the manager will really help you find a job (and a job that suits you). A place where you can live and let live :) I also recommend an adjacent street to leave his van safe and free. The hotel is really in the center and can do everything on foot (supermarket 5 minutes walk) A very pleasant stay under the blessing of the neon cross of the Cathedral Ahah

Quand je suis arrivé dans cet hôtel je pensais rester tout au plus 2 semaines finalement j'y ai séjourné 5 mois. C'est un très bon working hostel qui trouve l'équilibre entre le rythme de travail et la fête. ROB le manager vous aidera vraiment à trouver du travail ( et un travail qui vous convient ). Un endroit où l'on peut vivre et laisser vivre :) je recommande en plus une rue adjacente permet de laisser son van en sécurité et gratuitement . L'hôtel est vraiment dans le centre et permet de tout faire à pied ( supermarché à 5 minutes à pied) Un séjour très agréable sous la bénédiction de la croix néons de la cathédrale ahah
