Situated in the Port area of Nelson. Restaurant available by the marina if you don't want to drive for dinner and drinks.

I like this place because it was quiet and not busy as staying in city centre. Also, we could order room service from the restaurant called The Anchor to have at the room. It was really helpful for us when we were tired from long trip.
T.Such a quaint little place, but ran so efficiently! Great start to the day with the complimentary breakfast, its basic but all you need. coffee was especially good. Juan was always friendly and we found absolutely no hassles with check in and altering our booking. Room was very clean. Bed was comfy and having the dark blockout blinds was lovely for sleep in. The Harbourside is set away from the town and because of this there is no traffic noise..aah bliss.
P.Great place to stay in Nelson. The owners are amazing hosts, warm and friendly without being to overwhelming.
The room are well equipped, not hugh but good size. They are clean and nicely finished.
The breakfast is good.
Plenty of parking.
You are in the harbour industrial area, there are a few good places to eat very close by, but the walk into the main city area is only 10-15 minutes and a very nice walk on the walking paths.
M.We really enjoyed our stay at the Harbourside Motor Lodge. David and Cathy were so welcoming and it was a joy to meet them. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the courtyard. It was nice being able to have the sliding door open and feel safe and secure. The room was well thought out with great sized drinking glasses, good plates, a microwave and a powerful hairdryer - to name just a few things. Oh and the blackout curtains are incredible! We wanted for nothing. What I especially loved was the breakfast. So much to choose from as part of your room rate, but the cooked breakfast was a feast too and cooked to perfection. The lodge isn't far from the city centre and is an easy walk. When we are back in Nelson we will return to the Harbourside Motor Lodge.
C.Never written a review before but read them Before going to this place before stayed. Would have to say very very nice. I’m from a hospitality background and the service cleanliness was better than anything I’ve come across before. Right from the start I knew comments in the review from others were true. Can’t fault this place 6 stars if could.
B.We had a fantastic stay at Harbourside lodge and couldn’t recommend it more. Very comfortable, clean, modern rooms, generous breakfast - and stunning views of the harbour. What really made our stay was the super friendly managers, who were very welcoming, and even helped us out when we had a mishap with our camping gear. Thanks again for having us!

B.Really enjoyed our short stay here. Warm welcome, combined with a room with a nice view out over the marina to the hills behind Nelson. The Room was perfect, clean, had a big comfy bed and it was nice and quiet. The breakfast was great (I had to have the bacon and eggs, but at 9 bucks, you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere as good... Was tasty). Would definitely be my place of choice for a return to Nelson in the future!
J.We stayed two nights in a room with a lovely harbour view. Cathy was a great help planning our days ( the electric bike tour to Rabbit Island was a great success) and David cooked us lovely breakfasts. It is a great place to stay, outside the town but within walking distance. The laundry facilities were a bonus too.
L.The equipment is simple and the price is high. The electric kettle feels like a product half a century ago, and the light of the bedside lamp is so weak that it is not as bright as a candle.
m.Perfect place to get away. Close to town. Very comfy beds, the one bedroom apartment is beautiful and with a view to match, lovely complimentary breakfast, or if you opt for the cooked breakfast by Dave you won't be disappointed, reasonably priced and you won't go hungry! Lovely friendly owners and we will definitely be returning :-) thanks guys x
K.Cant fault this place at all. First class service from a lovely couple, even when we asked for an early breakfast to leave for a day trip it wasn't a problem. When asked where we were off to next we were told where the best places to book trips were and were not disappointed.
W.My husband and I stayed for two nights at the lodge. Had a wonderful view of the Harbour. We have stayed in a lot of motels over the years & we must say that this was the best of them all. The proprietors were wonderful. Very helpful & friendly. The unit was extremely clean, tidy and warm. We honestly couldn't of asked for more. We have already booked in for next years break away. Thank you. :)
H.It is within walking distance to downtown if you are OK with 2+ miles round trip. The location is away from noise downtown but the harbor is not really scenic. There is a restaurant next door.

J.I don't have much of frame of reference for this price range hotels, but it was nice to stay there, the staff (I barely saw) was nice, everything was comfortable and clean. There is kind of walkway straight out of the door.
