A.Budget friendly, eclectic and fun hostel with all the amenities and great vibes! The pool and spa was a good opener for interacting with the other guests. The staff were wonderful and the bathrooms immaculate. Highly recommend.
P.Really nice place, clean, spacious, a good crowd of people (when I was there). Great breakfast and I was given some noodles for tea on arrival. The kitchen is huge and the pool and spa are perfect. There's a social atmosphere and buzzy crowed but it's quite after ten so no problems there. You can "live your life" and enjoy it here. The owner let me check in early and hang at the pool while I waited for my partner. Very accommodating and relatable, not just a commercial service but a friendly business. I'll definitely be back.
L.The managing of the building is fantastic. Very fair and kind. Cleaning is always on time and cleaned well! One of my favourite things to do there is sit in the sauna or by the pool after a day at work or the day after a night out 😅 You can’t ask for any better than Paradiso. Paradiso is paradise.
Q.Great hostel! We felt very welcome here. The price is really good, it has a nice outside area where you can spend your time juggling, slacklining or relaxing in the pool. And you get a free little breakfast every morning. Lovely manager, lovely place!

I.Great place to meet new people and find work around Nelson! Big common areas (open kitchen, tv lounge, poolside, garden, etc.) and tidy cosy rooms. Overall very clean and wifi was working well, in the rooms as well as downstairs. The hostel is located in a lovely neighborhood with a great little cafe around the corner (amazing coffee!!). 15 min walk from town, but with Nelson's sunny weather year round that's actually a benefit :) Would definitely recommend!

C.The place is wonderful and the vibes there too, I just I’m disappointed with the manager of the place because I saw a tap loosing water in the upstairs’s bathroom, I let her know about it and she told me yes I know it! Five days after the tap still continue loosing water ! A shame and very worried about something very important!

L.This place was awesome! Great value. We had a 4 bed dorm and were alone one of the nights. They had breakfast and dinner, a pool, sauna and spa, ping pong, pool and a nice kitchen with tons of space and dishes and all for $20 a night, you can’t beat it. There’s also shuttle pick ups to and from the airport there that are cheap if you don’t have a car. The place was walking distance from everything in town too. One of my best hostel experiences anywhere.
N.Perfect if you want a social backpackers! Not great if you want more of a quiet and chilled atmosphereouple (like us). Nice facilities and lovely lady who runs it.
L.I had the best sleep of my trip here. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower was good, the internet was excellent and free.
The Paradiso is about a ten minute walk to town, though there is a great organic store and coffee shop a couple minutes away.
The laundry machines were in good working order, and there were clothes lines. When we came in the evening the hot tub was scummy but our tour leader used it in the morning and didn't have a problem.
The front desk people are pleasant and quick to address any issues.
I would stay there again.
P.Mostly clean and realy nice hostel with sauna and pool. Just security (main door still opened and not acomodated people inside) and totaly selfish guests doing noisy party nearly everyday is a problem. Othervise no problem, just take your earplugs :)

C.My short week long stay tuned into two months or fun and laughter, once you areive you'll never want to leave. On any giving day you'll find mix of cuisines and culinary delights being cooked in the spacious facilities.
Something to suit everyone's needs from juggling and acrobatics by the pool to a range of good books and comfy places to tuck yourself away on rainy day (not that nelson ever sees anything other then sunshine!!) This is a place not to be missed!
T.I stayed at Paradiso Backpackers for two weeks and loved it, everyone was so friendly and the staff were very super helpful to. Paradiso has quite a sun trap next to the pool, perfect for reading a book and enjoying the sun. It was a truly lovley stay and would recomend to any solo travellers like me passing through.
T.very crowded hostel, a lot of party people are in the very nice outdoor area and chilling at the pool or playing beach volleyball. the wifi is fast, the pool is nice. laundry available.
but i dont think they have enough (of the very friendly) staff for dealing with the amount of people coming every night. the (quite small) kitchen is dirty and completely a mess after 7pm, some of the bathrooms are disgusting in the afternoon. if you looking for a place to sleep before 12pm, dont go here.
W.Great place to stay even for us Retirees. It is a bit like Club Med with pools, spa, etc. Kitchen facilities clean and tidy. Even get breakfast thrown in.

Z.Absolute best hostel i have been to in the world. This place is quirky and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into it. Very large open kitchen and dining area, a very nice platform for meeting fellow travellers. Served free breakfast and dinner soup (free dinner may only be a winter thing). They have a volleyball court (!!!), tepee tents, large outdoor pool, spa and sauna. Their WiFi was super reliable. Dorms are ensuits and designed really smart so you wont be tripping over luggage, and there are many coat hangers which came in handy when drying damp clothing and swimsuits. Dorms with good safe heater. Struggled locking and unlocking dorm door though. Fairly short walking distance from the central city, but they also provide free shuttle services and they even offered to take us to the supermarket when it was raining. Really friendly and accommodating flexible staff; with no hesitation they returned me my ID, which was being used as a key deposit, in order to go into a pub. It is nice to be trusted and this is something that i don't think would occur in some other more rigid and less compassionate countries.
X.Free breakfast, free soup with great choices of bred, good dorms with lights on the bed, lockers, space. Outside area fantastic with pool, sauna, whirlpool, table tennis, volleyball, billiard etc. In summer must be awesome. Bathrooms were average clean and the guys used the girls one as well. For this price just fantastic.
K.A great hostel with lots to offer for a really good price! The kitchen is big and good equipped, the outside area is amazing, with a pool, small spa pool and sauna and space to play volleyball and other outside games. I can just highly recommend it!
E.Buzzy hostel with plenty of great facilities - two Kitchens, swimming Pool, spa, table tennis etc. It's a popular place, so definitely Expect It to be busy, especially at peak times.... Fairly young sort of place, so if you're looking for a place to. Meet other travellers and that kinda jazz... It's perfect for You.

d.What you see on the pics and read on their website Is what you get. This backpacker has exceeded my expectations. Would say the best backpacker i have been to in NZ. Would highly recommend. Very clean surroundings and friendly staff. No wonder it was jampacked the minute i arrived as heaps of tourists returned to this place. Curfew times were always on the dot so you can sleep well and relax. Definitely will be returning to this paradise!
K.Very good common areas - spacial kitchen, swimming pool, beach volleyball court... I stayed in this hostel two times, the first time I was placed in a cabin, that only had one plug for seven beds, that was a little inconvenient.
The hostel serves free breakfast and an excellent soup with bread in the evening.

E.Free soup with bread for dinner and free breakfast! Sauna, pool, hot tub, darts, volleyball, ping pong, this hostel has it all. Stayed for two nights before heading to Abel Tasman. They've even got a van that leaves at certain times to pick up/drop off people from/to buses or grocery stores. I would recommend this hostel for anyone heading to Nelson! The Staff is very friendly as well

Cool atmosphere just shame it was cold wet weather because on a nice day this place has massive potential with the out door swimming pool and volley ball etc we will do come again
M.The hostel itself has been nice with spacious kitchen, clean bathrooms and decent WiFi. Unfortunately this hostel falls under the category ''heavy party people''. So don't go here if you expect something quiet and cultural away from drinking alcohol.
L.Best f**king hostel in the whole New Zealand. If you go to Nelson, you don't have to think twice. I spend two months there. For only $140 you get free breakfast, a soup at night, jacuzzi, sauna, a lovely swimming pool, a volleyball court. It's 15 minutes walk away from the CBD. Paradiso is family.
M.Super crowded feeling. I think it's just because it is such a huge hostel but I wouldn't stay here again. Feels like a party hostel. They do provide free dinner and free breakfast though, which is nice. And the pool looks very nice too.

After two months at this place it's easy to say: it's a Paradiso.
Lovely crew, clean, fantastic amenities, free breakfast (basic, all that you need), well localized and great price contribute for a awesome environment and amazing stories.

J.This hostel is so chillax, the rooms are comfortable warm and the beds are good, the kitchen is nice, the swiiming pool and jacuzzi is the perfect combination of a paradisiac hostel.
M.The Paradiso ist the best place to stay in Nelson - for low budged travellers. For a fair price you'll have clean dorm rooms, toliets and showers, two nice kitchens and a very enjoyable outside area (all cleaned every day!), a pool, a sauna, a whirpool, a tv bus for relaxing, boardgames, tabletennis and much more. On top of that, the free meals in the morning and evening are simple but good. If you're searching for work, you can volunteer in the hostel or look on the blackboard for many offers. In general a beautiful place - paradise.

H.Lovely little complex. Plenty of parking space and staff were friendly and helpful. Short walk to local amenities and restaurant. Was noisey as it was busy the night I stayed. Kitchen space is huge and has plenty of fridges to use.

Eines der besten Hostels in denen ich bisher gewesen bin. Es wird extrem viel geboten, wie zum Beispiel Pool, Saune, Whirlpool, Frühstück und Suppe am Abend. WLAN ist aber sehr langsam und auch aus den Duschen kam manchmal nur wenig warmes Wasser.
