R.Stayed again at Riverlodge Motel Nelson - this time without my husband - as it has a super handy town location yet is nice and quiet. The bed (as ended up in the same room as last year so can’t comment on multiple beds!) is super comfy and I loved that there were four pillows on the bed, all a little different in firmness and plumpness so I had two great ones to choose one from - lol. Definitely recommend. Very easy, lovely linen and fab location with free car parking.
B.At the last minute we called , Jon was so helpful and accommodating to myself and partner especially we had our two dogs.
Love the place ❤ and will definitely be back.

O.The stay was lovely. Staff are friendly and kind. The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable, with great free WiFi. Let's not forget that this is in one of the best possible locations as it is right at the heart of Nelson City. I 100% recommend this to anyone who is coming to Nelson on a reasonable budget.

I am worried over the road trip back to devastated Westport, but these 3 nignts in this beautiful motel has given me hope for the future for my family emigrating from the UK late Septermber, a place to unwind and rejuvenate therir spirits and taste the hospitality of the owners of this wonderful, welcoming motel.
H.Super friendly/helpful staff who handled multiple inquiries with a lovely attitude. Although some of it was a little dated, it was being renovated and it was a quiet, clean and very comfortable place to stay at a great price. Close to town too (walking distance).
L.We only needed a bed for the night and a bathroom, it was all comfortable and clean. only I suggest to leave an explanation with the hot plates, as we had trouble starting them. Thank goodness for the microwave.
D.Lovely owner, gave us a map and explained where a beautiful walk close by was and where the restaurants were. Room was cheap, really clean, good heating for winter, bed was really comfy and lovely quiet room! Great value for money and would highly recommend!
M.Great location. By the river and a short walk away from the centre of town. Friendly staff. Neat and tidy rooms with free wifi and good heating for the winter months. A small kitchenette with essentials to make a hot drink or to heat up takeaway. No hassle check in and check out. Would definitely stay here again.
S.October 2014 we stayed 3 nights in 08 (studio) Queen bed plus single.
I was shocked to discover that the single bed was in a cupboard. Not ideal.
This needed to be wheeled out into the main space for sleeping.
Luckily we were two adults so were going to bed at the same time. If I had of had one of my grand children with me then it would have been hopeless.
None of the info online states that the single bed is in a cupboard.
Apart from that the unit was lovely and clean. Plenty of hot water for showering. Nice quiet location.
I think it should be stated on the info online that the single bed is not easily accessed.

The staff was EXTRAORDINARY -we lost a car key. 4 Staff spent one heck of a lot of time helping us.
Location is only a very few minutes walk along the river. Very nice.
