Always a please to stay here, so much for the kids to do and great location, you don't even need to leave the park to entertain the kids. The daily activities are a great way to keep the kids and adults entertained. Negatives: The toilet blocks could do with an upgrade above the basic cabins and the washing machines serviced, I had several issues with washing. An upgrade on the cabins wouldn't go astray even adding a few more hooks on the walls and curtains that fit the windows 😊. I was sad to see the awesome fort removed, (would have been cool to keep that and upgrade it to standards) and a flying fox and a few other things put in, this is a large space and could have made a really cool playground suitable for all age groups to enjoy.

The view was awesome from our site. Walking on the beach, especially low tide really nice. Unfortunately we had a few noisy neighbors who started their music around 5.30pm and didn't stop til after midnight. Facilities looking very tired but gotta say shower pressure brilliant.

Unfortunately our first impression of this place wasn’t the best… we contacted via email to book as on the website for the dates we wanted said to contact to book. I got a confirmation email saying a site had been booked for us by the beach. When we arrived we went and checked in and we were given a map of the place, and our site in the yellow zone was circled for us, we were then sent on our way. We drove to the site and noticed there were no other people in other sites around us, but believed we had been given the right area and so started to set up. A man on a tractor then came over, I believe his name was barry, and asked if we were lost. We said no this is the site we were given and showed him our map and he confirmed we were in the right place, but said that this area of the campground was closed and had been for over a month. He was kind enough to help us and radioed over to reception and found us another site, which wasn’t as nice and was in the dog area and quite run down facilities. We were grateful for the man who helped us out though as none of the people in reception seemed to actually be aware that they had sent us to a closed area and it seemed that the communication wasn’t the best. We would stay again if we were able to actually stay in one of the areas we booked for and when facilities are upgraded one day so you feel like you are actually getting your moneys worth :)

This place is AWESOME! Great prices and range of accommodation lots of entertainment for the little ones, clean and tidy and allot of amenities...and of course so close to the beach. Loved it thank you!

Nice campground close at the beach with heaps of space! A little bit aged facilities, like old toilets not flushing properly, and generally not too many power outlets for charging equipment. Also the close proximity to the airport is an unintended alarm in the early mornings! However super nice staff and overall I’d come again if I want to stay close to the city

Was last minute and late when we called into see if they had space for us with a caravan and yay they did. The showers and toilet were great and clean. They had several dump stations so werent line ups to use 1. Decent size sites. Playground looked great. Will stay again in caravan.

Stayed on 8/12/21 in a campervan, facilities were clean, tidy and well maintained, friendly staff. Heaps to do on the campground to keep entertained, we even played a round of mini golf! Can't wait to take my whole family some day :)

Lovely spot for camping, but not really a beach for swimming. The campground is clean but the facilities are quite outdated, old...no lights in the showers. Could do with some tlc.

Nice and big campground, facilities are a bit outdated but they are sufficiently maintained, the airport close-by can be annoying during the day, but no noise after ~22:00 or before ~6:00. Proximity to the beach is very cool!

Being locals have not stayed at Tahunanui Beach Holiday park but enjoyed using their pedal bikes off season, mini golf and tramp...loved the ' permies' colorful gardens as we wandered along the boardwalk..I could live in there !!!

Had a lovely walk unfortunately the back beach has eroded away so looked far different from when I was last there. No rubbish lying around so that was great, easy parking by the skating ring as the carparks further around have sadly eroded away.

We stayed in a kitchen cabin, everything you need, warm and cozy set in a great location. Great for families we will be back

Went there twice first time at the far end of the camp was a bit exposed and noisy then again a second time but the other more select and private area .Awesome showers and facilities.A bit expensive as to what we usually pay even after the NZMCA discount but clean and well run.Would stay again very central to all amenities.

We love this camping ground, destination campers in a caravan, we use the dump station but not the facilities and because we have a little dog we are put out by back beach. No problems! BUT we probably won’t be back cannot understand why we paid $23pp per night, we stayed 6 nights and most camps give discount for a longer stay. Now, we spoke to others in the camp and they were shocked when we told them, our neighbours had been there the week before in a camper van and were charged $23 for a couple. Husband rang and questioned the charge and was told quite adamantly that was the charge...Gutted!

Have stayed here a couple of times. Very clean and tidy, close to the beach, we love it.

Great activities for families and kids. Our one year old enjoyed running around and bouncing at the playground. The facilities weren’t special but they did the job. Hairdryers were available for use which is a plus. Beautiful sunsets! Would recommend 😊

Perfect for families! Little stand alone two bedroom motel. Clean and tidy. Awesome play ground for the kids. They loved it. Good breakfast on site at the cafe!

Wow, our unit had recently been refurbished. The work, finishes and furnishings are A1. Not many people around at this time of year, except for the permanent trailer park residents. Not for the faint hearted but we were directly below the approach path of planes landing at Nelson Airport. No night time landings at the moment.

A massive park with every kind of accommodation imaginable. Located 4 km from the airport it is situated out of the way, and is easy enough to find. All the facilities functioned well, and met all my needs. The washing and drying facilities boasted brand new machines. I was in a non powered camp site and the large spacious area was more than enough for my single person tent. It was flat and comfortable. The only reason for the 4 stars is the vicinity to the airport and the noise it makes. I was ripped out of sleep by the screaming of an aircraft overhead when it was landing at 6am. Not the best way to find out!!

A really nice place to stay. Good points: good clean facilities. No major bad points apart from the planes flying overhead and the lack of cloths and cleaning equipment in the kitchen, but these are only small things.. overall.. great.

Massive campsite, good location to the beach, good amenities.

We stayed 2 nights at Tahuna Beach Camp in a 2 room 3 bed house absolutely no stress plenty of parking electric blankets those hot air heaters on the wall up high (I forgot what they'recalled but they are common in most houses).big tall fridge freezer modern decor full sky network Normally at motels and hotels parking can be an issue little fridge. This place felt like a home and not a motel which was a very good thing. Close to beach, park, activities in the park, close to nelson and Richmond, nice Seaview no far from camp. I recommend. A nice spot, albeit a bit cramped compared to other campgrounds we've been to. The ablutions blocks/kitchen facilities are really dated, and the showers were cold more than just a few times. A reasonable cafe on site but a few more vegetarian/vegan options would be nice, and not that difficult. We seemed to be in a noisy spot too, with no onsite noise control (despite the music still being loud at midnight). Having regular flights overhead was annoying initially but you tune that out after a while. It also would've been nice to see some live music or something each afternoon/evening in the amphitheatre, like they did years ago. Overall an average stay.

I had attempted to drive a little further than intended for my trip, however, getting too tired I was not going to make my planned destination. Arriving at Tahuna Beach Holiday Park it was already closed! I was gutted! HOWEVER, there was an after hours number and one of the staff kindly enough said he would be at the property in 10 minutes for me to pay and let me stay for the night. I got a non-powered site for $20 for myself. I got to put all my food in the fridge/freezer. I woke up around 6am, although the park was busy (or looked packed to me), the kitchen was empty, I charged all my devices, I got to take a nice hot shower, cleaned all my dishes and headed back off on the road. It was relaxing to know I had a place to rest my head that night, the gentlemen was so kind considering being closed. Very thankful for this experience and location (spot 40). 100% will return back to this place. Thank you for such great customer service and hot showers! Definite perk for me!

Great Holiday Park to relax in while remaining very central when exploring Nelson and it's seroundings.

This place has the potential to be a great place again. Unfortunately like so many other camps in these trying times, has been opened to seasonal workers living here permanently. The cleanliness & up keep is quite poor. Not what I expected to see in Kiwi branded camp.

Awesome place to stay. They were very accommodating when we were having car trouble. The location was great and the facilities were clean. The recycling was well set up.

Tahuna Camp is brilliant, we are really enjoying our stay, the place is packed with happy campers and kept well-behaved by the security guards which is a good thing. Camp has its own cafe with a well stocked shop. And I've downloaded Flightracker24 app to keep abreast of all the planes and am now happily obsessed 💚

Lovely place to stay, right on the beach. Sunset views are perfect. Very clean and tidy. Staff are supper friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Can't wait to book in again..

Reception staff were great. Facilities clean but out dated. This camp is very large, and most of it was closed off and only the one facilities block was open. Good size sites right on the beach

Great site sizes and very clean amenities

I got a very good beach view for my non-power tent site, and the shower is very good. 1.4 km to Zoo by walk, and a very good fish n chip shop outside the holiday park call "The Sands Fish n Chip".

I went to cafe there great food and coffee was really well made. Chef was awsome and also knows how to make a good coffee. First coffee I had was great too it was made by one of the awsome shop assistants who were very helpful to me.

Great camp but make sure you have plenty of mobile data on your phone. WIFI, when it works, for some incomprehensible reason is limited to 500mb.

Absolutely loved this place. Super friendly and very helpful staff on checkin. Facilities nice and close and very clean. Showers had great pressure.

I give them a 4star rating. Lots on offer when you stay here. Mini golf, jumping pillow, not to mention close to hydro slide and bumper boats also. Go carts are a fave close by as well as taking a dip in the ocean. Beautiful place to stay.

What a great old style camping ground. However with many updated facilities. We stayed in a self container motel unit which was modern, private spacious and warm. Also the camp has a great location by the beach and recreational grounds.. This would be a 5 star review, except for the fact it is on the approach to the near by airport. ...and the planes start taking off just after 6 am. Sigh.

I camped here on a powered site for 4 nights over the new years period. Despite being very busy there was relative order and decency displayed by all camp goers. The services where very clean even on new years night, obviously cleaned multiple times per day. I enjoyed my stay here, a nice mix of families and younger folks. Yes there is an airport right next door so on average once an hour a propeller type plane (not a giant commercial international carrier sized) will buzz, honestly its only a bother for 15 seconds an hour and only during the day. There is also a pristine sandy beach bordering the camp for everyone to enjoy.

Great place to stay, only bad thing was there was a whistling noise outside the apartment all night. Very clean and tidy

Nice and clean. Under the flight path of the airport, but I like planes. Very family and kid friendly. Like all the other campgrounds, the charge is per person. So, at some point it’s cheaper to rent a room down the street. Well run NZ friendly staff.

The stay here was pleasant and had great time. Close to the beach, parks, stores and activities. Great family friendly area. Has a communal washing machine and iron. Powered camper an sites and cabins as well. Coming in early autumn when it’s a bit chilly the electric blankets in the cabins were a nice surprise.

Stayed 3 nights. Loved the place. A very high standard within the whole camp site. Showers are great and bathrooms always clean. Had a free BBQ near us to cook our food. Nice big kitchens with oven. Professional and lovely staff. Definitely coming back

Fully self contained caravan/motorhome? Then ask for the Green Zone and enjoy the grass and trees and the far reaching beach just over the fence. Note that the sealed bike path into the centre of Nelson runs along the Park boundary.

Our extended family have been coming here every year during the summer holidays for over 60 years. Lots of changes over the years but always a great place to spend time with family and enjoy the beach.

Lots of fun things to choose from for the whole family. Mini golf, giant pool game, trampolines, slides, bumper boats, hydroslide, laser tag...prob lots more! Some things can be quite pricey for what you get but others are family friendly price wise. The bumper boat pool could do with a good clean out.

Simply the best holiday park! Wide camping ground, option of powered spots, they rent units, cabins. There is a good number of toilets, kitchen and BBQ areas on good condition! There's a good Cafe near the reception with welcoming and friendly staff! For playing with the kids they offer bouncy castle, mini golf course, sports area and you can rent a kind of a ''pedal kart'', and all with a very good price!

Right on the beach, has a large choice of accommodation. We had a swallow nest right outside our unit...they were messy, but cute...all lined up at night!

Nice cafe. Dog and kid friendly. Free bouncing pillow is a real bonus.

If you can see passed the low flying air traffic, the broken urinals, being stopped from using bathrooms and kitchen spaces an hour before checkout and sharing your living spaces with long term social housing recipients, then this holiday park is quite a good choice. There’s good access to the beach, you’re close to the fun park and the staff are friendly.

Had a nice stay, well equipped the room and toilets getting but tired (one window screwed shut and had top push other from outside to close) but was clean, tidy and had a great stay. Close to beach and have we pedal carts for the kids, mini golf etc

Huge holiday park with good camping options and generous pitch spaces, stayed right by the beach with great views. Lots of showers and toilets, very basic and small kitchen. Marked down a star by loud guests in a nearby tent (on a patch of grass not intended for camping) and the staff not rectifying because they were away from their tent when they came to check. Book online for a small discount

This Camp is a 5 Star resort in my opinion. People are lovely at reception and the lodging is clean and comfortable. Heaps to do and the Beach is only a walk away from camp. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Nice place with lots of amenities for a cheap price. playground, mini-golf, and bikes for hire available to entertain the kids. However the WiFi, although they advise it being free, is only free for 30min/100mb. Any more costs quite a bit of money. Good service.

Amazing park, I have not been to a holiday park like that before. Its only the first day but I am very impressed! Activities for the kids.... Lots of activities more than I expected. My children agree.... And good value

This holiday destination is only two minutes walk from the beach. The park features: An on-site café with excellent coffee. Mini golf. Bicycle hire. Children's playgrounds. BBQs and picnic tables. Theres is an on-site function centre, with plenty of parking, that can be hired for events. Facilities are clean and the grounds are kept tidy year round. The staff are friendly and there is a wide range of accommodation options from non-power sites and basic cabins through to fully serviced units and a house. Come and escape for a weekend or for a few weeks.

We stayed at the newer 'White' area of the camp with our campervan for two nights. Most of the powered sites in the area around the kitchen are not level, so we stayed with what we got. The kitchen is obviously new, huge and even has a new unspoiled pool table. The kitchen offers no kitchen utensils. The showers are really spacious, but there is only room for a solid soap in it; we had to put the hair and body products (of bottle shape) on the floor. In the men's showers, the water temperature is alternating and I couldn't get constant hot water. The camp offers a single 30min/50MB WiFi voucher, no matter the number of nights and the number of people staying. The situation in New Zealand is quite staggering with the WiFi, but this is just absurd.

Great place to stay in Nelson. Prices are reasonable and the rooms were tidy and clean. Within walking distance to a couple of bars and food. Would stay again

Pretty good. Rooms were good. Clean and tidy. Communal kitchen was great for our group of 18

The camping has four different sections. We took the green section. This is the most basic, but the facilities are ok for what you pay ($ 10 per person). The section has beautiful views over the ocean.

We enjoyed our stay at this holiday park. Our cabin was clean and modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sadly it's quite a long walk to the beach.

Such a fun place to stay. so much for the kids to do. Lots of entertainment. reasonably priced accommodation. Always busy. easy to find and get around. close to the beach.

Nice people at the reception, nice and new kitchen facilities l, large ameneties block with modern and clean showers and toilets. The campsite was large and not too full. Overall a great stay.

Must be the biggest Holiday Park in New Zealand, of course, a bit expensive. But they have some ok powered sites on far end with decent ocean view, the better sites (closer) are non-powered. But they have some sad looking trees - No shade.

The house we were in had 4 bedrooms large lounge and kitchen and great outdoor areas. Was great for our family reunion

I've been dealing with Sandi and Kieran, their communication and professionalism is hard to find these days. I haven't even stayed here yet but their service earns 5-stars regardless of my experience.

Excellent new and clean amenities. Great location, but be prepared to be woken up by the planes, it sounds like they're landing on top of you.

Its a lovely clean friendly camp it is huge .The showers are fab with blow dryers in the ladies.great mod kitchens / tv room with a couple of computers .you get first half hour of wifi free.well appiinted washing machines driers and irons and boards.an ampitheatre and volley ball court also mini golf.theres a lovely big open plan cafe attached .all this set on well kept park like grounds with trees ..im very impressed .

Had cockroach run infront of us when we first opened our door on arrival. Let staff member know of this. The miniputt coarse needed repairing.

A very big park got everything you could ever want if wanting a swim just look outside there you have the biggest pool in the world the ocean
