S.I can’t stress how awesome this lodge is. Close to the beaches and the town. Super tidy rooms and the kitchens and bathrooms are always clean.
The hosts are such amazing people they interacted with our kids letting butterflies go in the garden and games for the pool.
Highly recommend this Lodge and will definitely come back again.
W.A good backpacker. The parking lot is a little short, but you can park outside the fends in the main street. The swimming pool is small too, but in good condition and fully usable. A pool table, table tennis, table football and loads DVDs are available to customers.
P.Stayed for 2 nights, either side of a big tramping trip. Very clean with everything you need. Good kitchen and bathrooms. Best sleep ever after 85km tramp. Very friendly owner. Good price and location. Will stay next time I head off on an adventure.
D.I came for a night and stayed for a week. Its CHEAP and for the money great value. Very family and children safe, always very clean and well appointed. I will stay here again and again I think. Nice to stay somewhere that has a family run vibe. Other tenants no problem. VERY STRICT ON DRUGS AND ALCOHOL. Dont try to drink or smoke there. Its straight out no warning. I am looking forward to seeing the main building finished back into its original style. Thank you guys.
V.This Accommodation is a Fabulous hardworking family run place! Everything provided and everything spotless!! Simon and Melissa are very friendly and excellent in letting you know the highlights to visit in and around the areas! Really enjoyed our stay , my son and I and highly recommend this place for a super place to be, so accommodating with us having my wee dog Tink!! Thankyou so much to you for having us and will definitely love to come back again, Superb!!!
M.Super clean, central, but quiet. Close to nature reserve and very affordable! Simon and Melissa are super friendly, always helpful and keeps the place well maintained!
Very happy I came here as a backpacker. Much more quiet and clean then any hostel! And they have budget rooms, check it out!

M.This was the second time I've stayed here - It's comfortable , clean,reasonably priced and Simon and Melissa are helpful and friendly. As there are a lot of rooms - rather than dorms- it's well suited to solo travelers as well as couples. A few shops are nearby and Town centre is just a few minutes drive away.
H.Website is super misleading!! Its a glorified 'hostel' not a lodge. A few things not on website that we would've liked to know are : TIMED SHOWERS (as a female = ugh) and there's a weird toilet only men can use but no designated womens toilets!? Im assuming that is what ensured the constant pee on every seat/floor. NO HIGH SPEED INTERNET. Its $5 a day and unreliable and it only works on one device, Even though it says free internet on TripAdvisor its not. Was gonna leave a decent review until on the last day I left a pan on the oven while I ate my lunch and got told to clean it immediately like I was living at home with my mum. The best part of the experience was the compost RIGHT outside the kitchen window which created a fly swarm whenever it got hot. Solved by spraying chemicals all over the benches. All this costed us $350PW its criminal. TLDR; Better than Franklin Village but barely better value.

J.Best value place weve stayed. Two adult and two kids. Big shower was a highlight as something different. Friendly owners. Quiet and suitable tourists and nzers alike
S.Very good value for money, with friendly, helpful owners. Handy to Nelson Hospital. Needs some tidying up of bathrooms but that was reflected in the price, so I'm not complaing.

M.Stayed here with my girlfriend and book 2 single bed room and when we got there they upgraded us to a queen bed one and the owners were very friendly and helpfull with good cooking facilities and will deff stay at again when we go on another holiday to nelson :D !!!!
