The setting and help received was perfect. The staff was very apologetic and moved us to an upgraded room, as well as letting us use the laundry. I got the warm and fuzzy's after seeing such great New Zealand hospitality and was excited to …

My wife and I spent the final nights of our honeymoon in New Zealand at Warwick House and couldn't have been more pleased. The hosts are very friendly and will happily show you around the place. The guests are interesting and the hosts are very charming. A fantastic treat if you're looking to stay somewhere unique.

We were originally placed in a very nice room that did not get any wi fi signal. We booked directly and the rates were very good value considering the size of the house and the grounds. We were left with the general feeling that guests were …

We stayed a night at Warwick House and it was a different kind of place to stay. The upstairs rooms are just huge and have beautiful period furniture. We loved the town. Warwick House is a credit to you and all those before you who has added to its character and elegance. The breakfast with home-made muesli is a treat.

Breakfast is served in the old ballroom with gorgeous vaulted ceilings and vintage silverware. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful and seeing a dog about the place was important to us. Not sure if it was worth $200/night but I see it as a contribution to the upkeep of a historic landmark.

We stayed during July 2017, on a NZ holiday, my wife loves period accommodation so.
The place appeared to be left to a group of backpackers touring NZ, the lady was very helpful.
We had the top north facing room. Very large room and it had some great furniture and fittings and some just filling space. This and two other rooms were accessed by an external uncovered stairway not for the older person and a struggle with large bags.
The TV was not HD and not many channels, heating was via a small portable, the bed mattress did not go to the edge of the frame and was passed its used by date. Under the bed there was quite a lot of dust, but all the normal areas we OK.
Breakfast was a set affair but OK. The dining room did not appear to have had a dust in the three days we were there.
Generally the grounds and the house are in need of work and some love, it may appear that since the renovations it has not been an on going labor of love.

If you're looking for a unique accommodation and atmosphere in sunny Nelson, than Warwick house is the place for you.
The place is beautiful and most importantly, the hosts, Nick & Jenny are wonderful and good people. They helped me a lot in private matters as well and I feel fortunate that our paths have crossed.
My stay there was a very positive experience that still echos in my life.
Thank you,
Limor

My wife and I arrived at Warwick House and were instantly impressed with the elegance of the front gates, drive way and exterior of the building. Nick and Jenny are terrific hosts. The continental breakfast served in the ballroom the following morning made us feel like royalty and was the perfect way to start our day.

My husband and I had a delightful stay at Warwick House, Nov. Perhaps a 10 minute walk. The homemade cereal comes with recipe and the ambience in the ball room is divine. The house is on the hill and in walking distance from the city center but be aware the walk back is uphill.

We found Nick and Jenny to be gracious hosts who shared our common interest of sailing so we had much to talk about. Hosts lovely and ensured that we were well cared for. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are going to Nelson and we hope to stay here again in the future.

The location is good, slightly out of the city centre, about a 10 minute walk into town. Nick gave us great directions and we had a lovely walk ***** the river there and up the hill back. Vicki, their black lab, is an absolutely wonderful greeter.

Very nice accommodation. It was a pleasure to stay here. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Nice room and good breakfast. I would like to come back anytime.

Internet access and laundry facilities could be improved. Nothing like having to spend your morning shaking ants out of your clothes instead of spending the vacation you spent thousands of dollars on and thousands of miles on. I would agree with previous comments that this place needs some fine tuning.

The Warwick House was an old home that had gone through several reincarnations and today is a B&B. Claw foot tub was in the living room area of the room which is a bit weird. I believe in being Eco friendly but it was cloudy and sprinkling a bit there and there was no place to hang laundry that I could find.

Lovely accommodating host. Comfortable bed and warm room. Little touches like bikkies fridge and daily tidy. Thankyou for having us.

Nice place. Friendly staff. The only thing is our room needed a new bed as it was saggy in the middle.

Historic establishment (which is why we opted to stay here on our first trip to Nelson) which is in need of some TLC. Friendly staff and owners and conveniently located.

(Translated) An alienated place. Outdated and not maintained. Small rooms. Breakfast is served in a huge hall with no sense of home. His bodyguard would be far away.
(Original)
מקום מנוכר. מיושן ולא מתוחזק. חדרים קטנים. ארוחת בוקר מוגשת באולם ענקי ללא תחושת בית. שומר נפשו ירחק.
