K.Absolutely loved our stay! View was beautiful and room felt comfy. Had everything we needed for our short stay. Would have loved to walk down to river but weather was too bad.
Only downside was the bed was quite hard and squeaked when turned over. I coped alright with it but my partner ended up sleeping on the couch. Breakfast at the quails nest in morning was probably the best meal I have had in a long time!!!! Thank you

J.The most beautiful location for a motel. If you want to see New Zealand rivers and natural bush this is the perfect spot. Plus a great restaurant on site as an added bonus. Top marks !

J.Beautiful ambiance and stunning views. Very lovely feel to the place and because it is new with lovely decor looks amazing. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. Because I hadn't eaten breakfast I choose the quiche. It was overcooked and very dry.
R.Beautiful scenery, nice and quiet, not far from New Plymouth. Clean and tidy. Great prices. Hard to fault. Looking forward to going back at some stage. Probably preferred place to stay in New Plymouth.
C.What a gem! Driven past here so many times and never really thought too much about it, what a fantastic place to actually stop and spend the night. Our accommodation actually had an outside bathtub, sadly didn't get to make use of it on this occasion, but the inside was lovely. Nicely presented with well thought out furniture and fittings, it was a thoroughly enjoyable place to spend the night. Bed was big and comfy, and they had even put the heat pump on to warm the place before our late arrival, a really nice touch given the weather.. despite being close to SH3 there was very little traffic noise and it was just perfect to relax and unwind. So relaxing in fact I can't actually remember if there was mobile or wireless signal as I didn't even get the phone out..will definitely be back to stay again, but can now see first hand why the reviews rate this place so highly, very nice indeed..
B.This motel was excellent. The fellow who checked us in was excellent. The quiet was exceptional, the room was super clean and spacious, the air conditioning was very quiet. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. Wonderful views and hike down to the river. This place deserves 6 stars. Seemed like a bargain to me.
T.So many reasons to love this place! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was modern, impeccable and boasted an amazing view. I had a room with a bath in the window, I could see the stars and hear the river down below with the windows open. Slept to the sound of the river and woke up to a peaceful sunrise. Really a perfect stay. I travel a lot around NZ and this is in my top 3 places quite easily!

R.Probably my favourite hotel on this trip around New Zealand, I can't speak more highly of it. Andrew is a lovely host and check in/out is a breeze (other hotels where it takes 10 minutes please note). The room is ace, large with sofa, table, kitchenette, good shower room (with pebble floor) and a bath overlooking the windows. The views (3 aspects!) Look out over the river valley and you can hear the tumbling river singing you to sleep. Plenty of wildlife including parrots, kingfisher and quail to watch. Very quiet location. Also washing machine and tumble dryer free and available for use.
A.Love this place. Like how it not a normal motel and rooms are in blocks with your own stunning views. Very quiet, peaceful, private and relaxing. Really love this place. Only thing I would change is the beds. Didn't sleep very well due to bed being very hard which hurt my back all night. Would have loved to go and stay there as a regular get away but won't due to the bed. A real pitty because it's an amazing place. I would rave about it if they changed their beds and would go back again if they changed them as well. A real shame. Just about perfect.
Y.Best place to stay! I always book here if we stay in New Plymouth. Outstanding customer service; friendly staff who are prepared to make your stay as comfortable as they can. One are that needs some work done is the heating. The room upstairs in the apartments dont get much warmth from the heater. Reinstating use of the fireplace would elevate the experience of cold and windy day.
c.So we did stay again, 3 nights in a lovely room overlooking the river.
But unfortunately have to say the beds haven't improved. Really awful creaking wooden base, uncomfortable...Three bad sleeps really put a dampener on our stay this time. Probably won't come back sadly.
A.Very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle flowing Creek out the back and relating hills quite peaceful good place to get away from it all plus they also have a conference centre
C.Do you want somewhere that is quiet and peaceful with great views then this is where you need to stay. Great size rooms with a very nice bathroom. Internet is not to bad. About 5 Minutes drive out of New Plymouth CBD which is great for shopping and food. Prices for rooms are pretty good. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

J.This was the nicest room we had staying in new zealand. The room was big with a huge wall of glass looking over the valley. Bathroom also had a giant tub, and a really nice shower. This was the most affordable place we're stayed and our fav.
