Air conditioner didn't blow cold air so had to sleep with the windows and curtains open. The fridge was very noisy and had to turn it off at night. Otherwise the room was spacious and the staff were friendly. Room service was reasonable. Restaurant was very good.

Had a brief one nighter and really enjoyed our stay. Great value and the facilities are great - pool, spa, gym is fairly basic, bar, restaurant (pricey though), good parking. Room was clean, warm and well-provisioned. Bed was firm and very comfortable. Great shower too. Location is excellent. Great service.

A family Xmas function at SCHOOL OF HITS dinner and show (in lieu of gifts under the tree) .... thoroughly enjoyed by our group of adults and children aged from four to 66. Included popular music, dance, nice meal, great booking experience and venue.

Very convenient and lovely spacious room (executive studio). Good amenities and the breakfast was hearty.

Yes we stayed here a few years ago now and we had a Earthquake and the bed just shock a bit but nothing to worry about ❤️they had a lot of people staying if I remember rightly they were from the rig and people were in conference and they enjoyed their stay as well 🎶🥰! At night it quietened down for we where close to the town Center and at night it quietened down and there was a sculpture images along the beach front!🥰 We did not realise that there were such large bolder’s along the beach ! But it was handy to the shops and restaurants ❤️🥰 We had a big breakfast in the morning 🥰😆

The room was good, certainly met expectations. My meal was excellent and carries on the tradition of great service and fantastic food. I highly recommend either the duck or the lamb shoulder, both are exceptional

This hotel is exquisite! We loved our stay here. The staff were very tidy and the service was amazing! The amenities were spot on and we were given a upgrade for no extra cost! Over all we highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back!

Had a great stay here. Staff were really accommodating and friendly. I had a few requests that were taken care of very promptly. The pool area was really nice even though the heater for the pool wasn't working. We stayed on presidential floor which had a great view of Mt Taranaki. I would definately stay here again as location is central and room rate was reasonable.

We had a lovely stay at the Plymouth International. I had mentioned when I booked the kids wanted to swim/use the spa. They kindly put us on the ground floor right by the pool! Lovely staff on check in/check out. Clean and tidy rooms, decent size as well. We will def stay again. Thank you.

My favourite place to stay in New Plymouth. Always perfect and the pool area is fab.

Initial greeting was pleasant and friendly. The room was tidy and fairly clean but showing signs of age. Damaged framing on the room entrance. Kitchenette fridge had damaged door and didn't close properly. Fantastic in suite spa bath and room was quiet and cosy. Great view of the mountain and across the city to the port and Tasman sea. The breakfast buffet was excellent and again staff lovely.

While the staff are friendly, the hotel itself could do with a massive overhaul. Decor from the late 80s early 90s was very drab. Bathroom was in need of a decent clean and maybe even just upgrade the TV.

We had a very friendly reception and they were very helpful with our two bikes. The hotel is only a short walk from the main Street and the beach. The room was generous with both a ceiling fan and a heat pump and the windows opened. The night was quite warm and we prefer not to use the aircon so the combination of the fan and open windows was perfect. The street noise all but disappeared after 10. Breakfast was excellent and very reasonably priced and with excellent and friendly service. We will come back again.

Staff Service very good. All Request were well served.

Beautiful food & meal but they were busy so service left a lot to be desired. No one came to refill water glasses or ask if we wanted another drink. Took 25 mins for someone to come & take our initial order. I went and got dessert menu myself and went and found someone and told them what we wanted for dessert, otherwise we just sat there twiddling our thumbs with finished dirty dishes still on our table.

I stayed at the Plymouth for one night only, as my usual hotel was booked out. My room was clean and pleasant. The best part of my experience was dining in the restaurant and watching Tony, the flambé chef at work. My dinner was superb, the best I've had in ages. Overall a really pleasant stay.

We were greeted by the owner and his wife on arrival who gave us the full rundown of there motel. The restaurant separate bar with a cosy fire and plenty of seating, a gym an outdoor pool and spa. We were also told of the beachfront walkways and all the great spots to visit while we were there. Our room was clean and tidy and the views of Mount Taranaki and the seashore was perfect. We will definitely go back. The staff were very friendly and offered help when asked. We enjoyed our meals while there and the restaurant is open to the public. Hope they visit and put money back into the local businesses. We'll done Plymouth Motel

My go to place when staying in New Plymouth. Excellent restaurant and comfortable rooms. Swimming pool and gym facilities. Parking can sometimes be an issue when they are hosting conferences.

In the years I have been going to your hotel as late as 10mins ago the service always amazes me and will continue to do so thank you

The staff were friendly. The room was relatively tidy. The pool looked great, wish we had taken our togs. We were disappointed we had to ask about the voucher we got through our booking. And the room smelt a bit. We weren't sure where that was coming from.

Our son and patner were married this weekend at this venue. We had a geat time the food was lovely the staff so friendly and helpful rooms were nice.Thank you Plymouth International really reccommend.

We were treated by a friend to a night here, lovely good sized rooms. Very nice and helpful staff. The lobby and reception areas are quite inviting and the room is very clean and tidy. The bath in our room is giant! Very excited to try this with the girls tonight. We have a little balcony off our room also which is a lovely feature too. Nice place to stay, and great value for the price I think! Definitely somewhere we would stay again.

The breakfast was delish. Unfortunately we were in one of the very old rooms desperately needing a refurb but it almost had everything we needed and what it didn't we borrowed from our friends who were also staying. The pool was sublime. Once the refurb is complete I would like to stay again.

Nice motel lovely staff, our room is/was only kitted for 2 people even though booked for 3, but lovely comfortable rooms, stayed in 3 floors here over years. All much the same.

Great value. The rooms were big, comfortable and well appointed without being spectacular. Good location near the middle of town, easy parking, full hotel services. Our room was nice and quiet despite this place being located right between two fairly busy roads. Having adjoining rooms for a family group was a good bonus. The whole place is good without being pretentious.

A very easy place to stay,with a casual air the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and the rooms are comfortable . The heated pool with spa pool is very relaxing after a hard afternoon of sightseeing !

I have stayed here quite a few times over the last 12 years and its always the same which is good in a way. So ill start with the bar and restaurant. You will not be disappointed the food is always amazing you will not be disappointed with the quality of food on offer. Staff can be a little full on but its ok. The general vib of the place is pretty relaxed and happy all staff members i have encountered have all been happy and willing to help. The rooms are pretty set in time and will give you a place to rest. They aren't fantastic but are good for what is on offer. The rooms can be noisy from road noise and from the corridor. Found that a few thing in the rooms can looked unfinished and in middle or repair.... Facilities on offer are typical for this kind of hotel and are well used. All in all i would stay again. Its convenient and offers everything i need when i am in New Plymouth.

Great place to stay nice tidy rooms and nice food

Good quality hotel, very nice heated pool and Jacuzzi. The room was neat and clean. Shower and bath was good but not the best. Overall a good experience. Will go again.

Spent two days in New plymouth. Good central location.

Our room was large but it was a suit, nice, clean and well maintained, it also looked like it had been revamped in parts as bathrooms were great, all new tiles and amenities. Hotel is well located in town and we would consider staying again

Delightful stay with old time friends. From Booking to Check it, Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless with all required amenities. Room service meals were delicious. Central location also a bonus.

very comfortable beds and the suite rather than the studio had a huge spa bath which was difficult to enter but was delightful! teas, coffees etc all in unit.

Very friendly and accomodating staff. The rooms are spacious with a nice view of the horizon. You can enjoy your cocktail drinks in the cafe and bar area or outside beside an adjacent pool. It’s an oasis of bliss in he middle of the city.

Good location, close to lots of restaurants and the mall. Hotel was neat and the rooms are spacious with tea, coffee and a microwave. The staff are very helpful and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

Review on the Orangery Restaurant (not the hotel). Have eaten here a few times recently with large groups. Both times we have had a 3 course set menu, with options for mains. The quality of the meals and the efficiency have both been great. Restaurant staff have been friendly and the restaurant is nicely laid out with a quiet and relaxed ambiance.

Nice and central , beautiful rooms

We've visited this same hotel several times over the last 6 years, but there are several issues that have gotten worse over the years. Room - Pillows were very old and tired, i ended up using my arm as a more comfortable pillow. Our room was over the courtyard and regularly smelt of cigarette smoke from the smokers under our window. we have to keep the curtains closed in order to get privacy as while on the first floor people in the courtyard could see far into our room. Service - The staff were pleasant and accomodating but very clearly overworked and struggling. at one point there were 3 people on reception, but 1 person trying to manage the bar, kitchen, room service and all other requests and couldn't keep up. A new policy was introduced that extra towels for going swimming are charged to the room and you have to return these yourself rather than leaving them for room service or get charged. Breakfasts - The breakfast team are fantastic and very accomodating, although the breakfast offering hasn't changed in 6 years and is somewhat limited. Restaurant- Last time we dined at the Orangery (on site) we were very disappointed with the value for the quality we were given and so wouldn't try again. This time we tried Julianna's (sister site restaurant) and were similarly disappointed, although the Mains were very good the Starters were terrible and the desert was poor. Service was inexperienced and our waitress was struggling to keep up with only 2 tables, but was friendly and willing. Facilities Swimming Pool The pool has been damaged (floor coming apart) since our fist visit and this has never been repaired. Spa pool had some kind of fault again this time and was cold, (they had the same issue last time too) Overall, it feels like they are desperately trying to keep up appearances but keeping expenses low (maximising profits) the staff are very friendly but need support.

The bed was incredible Tv only had 2 channels which was lame, not alot on at 11pm

Great service - reception staff very efficient, offering to launder/press my business shirt on arrival and checking if I have a frequent flyer account for points on my departure. Good restaurant with full range menu (great steak!). Some refurbished rooms, others a bit tired, but clean and spacious. Rooms nearest road a bit noisy due to single glaze windows.

A comfortable room light and airy. The hhousekeeping staff are very helpful and considerate as they work, as our milk had frozen, no problem to the maids to swap for us. A communal saltwater pool was a great treat for a warm dip before dinner. The pool is heated, but not excessive. A plunge pool come spa is available to use as well, ideal for young children! The hotel is in easy walking distance to both the city as well as Pukekura Park. Ideal for a weekend break.

I haven't stayed here, but over used thier confrence rooms a lot. Nice logical layout. Clean and professional. I hear the food is great

Went there for a meeting. Normal business meeting room. Afterwards went to the bar for a coffee. Only customers. Barmaid came up from where she was working. Happy to make us two Glayva Irish coffe.

Had a great dinner there with friends. The beef casserole was tender and tasty and the carrots were cooked nicely although the could have thrown away the top bit of them.

Was a cold evening outside but the warmth inside was much appreciated. Service along with the food was pretty good. Unfortunately one of our group's pork meal was not as moist as expected.

The food was beautifully cooked,I had roasted beef, vegies okay. Good service. Easy to find and good parking for cars (not motorhomes!) Pricing I thought was a little bit much for what we had.

Its a good hotel. Friendly staff. My room was right next to the pool and a family decided to go for a swim at around 8:30 pm .lots of noise while i was getting ready for a early night in . The draft stoppers or the insulation around the windows may need a change as i could hear all the street noise and the whistling sound of the wind blowing outside.

This hotel hasn't been renovated in decades. It has been well cared for, but its age shows. Its also a bit remote for walking around downtown.

Just had a 2day workshop here, great facility hsd what needed and we were well catered for.

Can only comment on the events that we attended. The young peoples speech competition and the Welsh ladies choir and local men's choir combined. Both shows were fantastic experiences.

My first visit, everything you would expect,clean tidy and a comfortable bed,even had an upgrade for no extra cost,will be back on a regular basis.

Older but reasonably modern hotel. Good spacious rooms well maintained. Good facilities; restaurant reasonable. Personally prefer this hotel to other more modern hotels in New Plymouth.

Located close from central just walk within 10min to main street. museum, art gallery, beach, restaurants, everything was close by walk. staffs were very kind specially restaurant in hotel was very good. must try even you dont stay.

Accommodation was great ( stayed in family suite), however the restaurant service left a lot to be desired, disappointed that Accor Plus can't be used on public holiday and the only way to get an alcoholic drink on a public holiday is to purchase a main meal
