B.This is a very large holiday park with many accommodation options. From un powered tent sites to cabins and motel rooms. There are several clean and maintained ablution facilities. There is a lovely pool with a waterside and play area for kids. The camping sites are shaded with lots of trees through out. Easy access to a stunning beach.
A.Absolutely epic campground. The staff went out of their way to make the whole experience awesome, especially for the kids! Clean facilities and a great crowd of guests. Added bonus of knowing everyone on site (who can be) are vaccinated and all taking covid campground guidelines seriously. Thanks team 🙌🏽❤️🎄

L.We had always heard great things about this park and were lucky enough to get a garden motel after a cancellation.
It was clear to us why it's so hard to get a booking at this park as it's amazing.
So much for the kids to do from the pool and slides to the nightly movies, we were always busy.
The only downside was that our stay wasn't long enough.
I would highly recommend.

B.We usually camp in more remote and quiet doc campgrounds so when we first turned up we were a little overwhelmed and unsure if we would like it. But we soon found heaps to do, staff and other campers were really friendly and the kids loved it. Definitely an experience and we enjoyed it way more than we thought we would.
J.This place is awesome, no wonder there is so many people here. Its huge and has nice features like the pool and bouncing pillow. I think there should be lifeguards near the pool or just someone to supervise the place. Great place to bring your family.

M.I love this place, you can choose from beautiful beache to a swimming pool. Lot of this to do around. The camp was clean a facility was maintained regularly.

E.Been my second time, great spot but very cramped in-season. The facilities are small, dirty and way too busy for the size of the camp ground. Would really like to see an upgrade.
T.Fantastic camp site with great facilities and really good access to the beach. We've been a couple of times - both in peak an shoulder seasons - great both times. While it's pretty busy in summer and long weekends, it isn't over crowded and it's still popular enough when it's quiet to feel quite comfortable and safe.
We've been with young kids, but I'd recommend it for all ages.

We stayed in a recently renovated cabin which has one of a kind wallpaper, and smart appliances. My husband said it is so flash it's like a mansion and he could live in it. My thought is it is beautiful. The beds are really comfortable and is easy to sleep in. I love it personally. The grounds are vast with plenty to do and you can access the beach very easily. There is a cafe on the grounds with delicious food and is very reasonably priced. We will definately be back. Only one thing is the front door handle can be very hard to lock and unlock as you have to turn the key round and round and you dont really know if you've locked/unlocked it till you try the handle.
R.The most organised camping site I've stayed so far. Looks more like a resort, with so many offers. Great if you are with family/kids.

M.A beautifully maintained holiday park in a great spot bordering the beach, with the harbour and golf course just a short walk away. Our unit (Pool Motel) was modern, super clean and well equipped with a comfy queen bed and a great shower. It was quiet (double glazed) with an outdoor area that gets all day sun. Netflix and wifi were available. We weren't travelling with children but the park has a great selection of play equipment and a pool and water slides which are open in summer. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

I was in their office on site and 300kms plus away from home. I could pay full price or return home, book on line and come back. Went elsewhere that was way more keen on my business

B.Awesome place, especially for the kids, and also a safe beach with life guards and it has shallow gradient for the little ones. C block showers could do with an upgrade with the water pressure, however with that being said there are plenty other showers within the park to get a good blasting. Definitely will be returning.

l.What an awesome camp ground...kids loved it and now expect all top 10 camps to be the same. Enjoyed our stay so much we changed our returning trip home to include Ohope top 10 camp again. Great staff very clean facilities. I would highly recommend this camp and was happy to bet the rush.
R.We have been trying out the Top 10's throughout NZ over the last few summers and this is by far one of the best. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay over 5 nights. We had 2 sites next to each other for our groups which could fit 3 tents, a gazebo, 6 bikes, 1 scooter, 1 skateboard, three cars plus all the extra bits and bobs (lots space).
After unpacking our trailer, this was picked up by the groundsman and safely stored away until checkout. The facilities were excellent and clean all the time. They even have daily rubbish collection from your site. Kids loved the pool and hydroslides and staff were super friendly.
Thank you to the groundsman who delivered our trailer to our site the night before checkout even though we were late in the evening to request it (8pm) and big ups to the cleaning team for keeping the park looking so fantastic the entire time.
We'll definitely be back.

A.We stayed only one night we had a beautiful spot right on beach. Staff were friendly and everything was very clean we had a great time..
We did however have neighbours who were very noisy including music and talking until 2am with security on site I thought this was have been stopped as camp was very busy. However we have friends staying in surf and sound who say it's more family friendly run by same people and they say no probs at all. We will return another time as it was great spot and beach is stunning including an orca experience!!
A.It was our first time staying here but won't be the last. Great campground and nice amenities which were conveniently located and clean. We stopped to grab a site plan on the way out so we could book particular spots in future, that's how definite we are on returning.

A.Best Top 10 my wife and I have stayed in by far! Very friendly hosts. Stunning location. Cleanest, most modern facilities I've encountered anywhere! Not just Top 10s. Awesome play areas. Superb kitchen, bathrooms, showers (loads of those), games room with video game machines, air hockey table, table soccer etc. I could go on, but I'll bore you. Just come here and see for yourself! R.Stayed on a tent site for a week. We picked this park because of the pool with slides, playgrounds, and the kids club. We enjoyed our stay, but we didn't enjoy the kids club and game room. Game room only had paid games, and the kids club was just generally underwhelming; e.g. not enough to do, unmotivated staff, not enough furniture, etc. Movie room is not suitable for young children either.
Good amenities in A block which was great. Some parts of the park can get very loud, we had a nice quiet spot near the beach. Kids loved the bouncy pillow, playgrounds and swimming pool with slides.
D.We have just returned from a lovely long weekend staying at the Ohope Top 10 Holiday Park. We were a large group celebrating our daughter's birthday. We stayed in the apartments closest to the sea. Very well appointed and Mmagic location. Will hopefully be back. Pricey but value for money.

J.Great camp to stay in, right on the beach. This modern camp is well spaced out with beautiful trees around powered sites, cabins, motel units and modern amenity blocks. For the kids jump on the trampoline pillow or play on the slide into the pool. Showers, kitchen, TV lounges etc are very clean and modern. Wanting a nice walk, the beautiful long sandy beach is right there. Great place to stay even though a bit pricey.

Very clean up to date faculties. The owners have obviously invested into keeping the place modern clean and tidy. Great facilities and one of the best locations on a huge beach. Sunsets are massive hear.

Huge, spacious sites that are easy to get a caravan into (and park a car next to) the toilets and showed looked brand new and were always clean, the pool is awesome and has 2 waterslides!! Every amenity you could ever need camping including a cafe & fresh baked goods. Highly recommend this Top 10, you won’t be disappointed with their sites or cabins they are all top notch
J.Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful caravan site with the most amazing views. Only slightly negative was the dump station is wee bit tricky to access with the caravan on due to tight corners.

R.Next level holiday park for a small town in NZ! Great pool and water slides, beautiful modern units where everything was clean and extremely well presented - even the BBQ was spotless! Great location being right on the beach and the beach has lots of driftwood for the kids to play with.. Also great how it doesn't have a crowded feel to it. There's also a few very nice new communal kitchen areas, a games room and even a movie theatre! Will definitely be making this a regular!

A.We stayed there 3 years ago. Family of 4 in a caravan at the end of January to take advantage of shoulder season rates. Its a good camp with lots to do for the kids. Great kids club, nice pool with water slides and the facilities are modern clean and tidy
The three stars is for
1/ the sites are tiny compared to other camping grounds. By the time we had the caravan and awning there was no room for the ute we had to park some distance away from our caravan.
2/ The rules are a bit over the top. Not allowed to have a beer while washing the dishes
3/ When we rebooked for the following year the prices went up and the shoulder season was pushed out so we would be paying motel prices for a caravan site.
4/ the timer on the showers is just weird. Push the button then race in, get undressed then shower before the time runs out, or get undressed walk out side wrapped in a towel push the button race back inside and shower?? Why is the timer button out side of the shower block?
We have found a nearby caravan park that is cheaper, much bigger sites, more relaxed and still plenty for the kids to do.
E.When the lockdown was announced, we decided to stay here. Best choice ever. The campsite was great for kids, with the trampolines , playground and jumping pillow. The beach next to the campsite is so beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly. Despite the fear of getting infected, they helped us out with a reduction of the price, unlimited internet, bikes/bodyboards/ soccer goals for the kids and even movies outside for us to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Mark, the ones who runs the campsite came almost daily to check on us. He helped us out with a place where we could work, and so may other things! By the time (after 5 weeks) there was a ticket available to get us home we had a hard time to leave. Highly recommend, its a great place with fantastic staff!
J.If you haven't visited this place before, I would fully recommend it. My family and I stayed here and we enjoyed every minute of it. All we heard were the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. We had one of the units by the beach so sunrises and sunsets was all we saw from the living area. The kids just loved the facilities in the park, especially the pool with the water slides. The endless beach was by far the highlight of my stay here. Peaceful and just the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I will definitely be coming back here again soon.
On key tip to take note is to bring a good supply of food before coming into the park. The nearest supermarket is about 18mins drive away. The cafe inside the park is only open during the peak season too. It's far more enjoyable having your meals overlooking the beach.

I.We stayed 2 days in late February. Spacious double width site for our 7 m camper van with elevated direct views over the sea. Vast scenic wind swept beach. All facilities modern clean and enjoyable to use. About the best Top 10 we have stayed at
M.The new cabins are so well done. Thoughtful, contemporary design with tasteful touches. Top notch standard, better than expected for a campground! Super friendly staff, beautiful location and extras like hydro-slide pool and huge colourful bouncy structure like an oversize trampoline, keeping kids happy for hours.

C.One the best camp sites I have been to,offering an assortment of accommodation.This is situated on the beach front which is suitable for children and medium waves for the boogy boarder .The bigger waves can be caught at far end of beach.The amenities are very new and clean complete with baby shower bath and a handy hold all in each shower. Also the bathrooms have a blow dryer and you do not require coins for shower.I had a kitchen cabin which offered everything you need-bedding, microwave,powerpoints, fridge ,bed lights. Staff are very helpful, highly recommended.

A.Fantastic place to stay with something for all budgets. I give 100% for how clean all the amenities, grounds and common shared spaces were. Love the seperate showers. Great selection of playgrounds and a swimming pool with 2 water slides a cafe in summer on sight with the beach and beautiful sunrises only metres away. Highly recommend.

A.A well looked after holiday park, very modern, friendly staff.Only fault is the website isn't as up to date as it needs to be.We wanted another cabin site said none available but we were able to get one and the cost was better than site advertised.Kids wished it was summer and the pool was open really looked like fun and clean.

T.Had a 2 bed apartment for 3 nights. Had a great time. Family friendly. Only trouble was check in with cars parked everywhere and very little directions and overal a lot of stress to start off a holiday. Other than that, extremely impressed.

E.This is one of the best Top 10 holiday parks you can stay at. We were lucky enough to stay at one of the beachfront spots (in our little camper van) right before Christmas, and the view of the beach and Whale Island can't be beat.
All of the facilities are clean and well maintained, and although we weren't travelling with kids, we were amazed at how many things there are for kids to do at this holiday park — pool, playground, tennis court, bouncy thing — it's hard to imagine any kid (or adult, for that matter) getting bored here!
The holiday park is a little ways out from the main Ohope beach (where there are a couple of restaurants/cafés), but its semi-seclusion is a drawing point, and the Ohope harbour/wharf is a close walk.
Would definitely stay here again!

C.Stunning location. One of the most beautiful parts of NZ. If you make the effort to drive out that way. Go right around. Can park up right on the beach front behind dunes. Awesome sky at night, and the Sun seems to hang in the Bay all day long, swooping in from the North East, then fading off to the North West, in defiance of NASA...and all the other rubbish they feed us :) . Go and check it out.

M.All of the top 10 parks are great, but this one is even better. All the amenities are clean and can support a lot of people. It's located right on the ohope beach, some spots have a clear view of the ocean.

V.We will visit again. This place gives attention to details and think before they develop anything new. The mini golf course needs some attention but the rest was great.
J.Ohope is the best Campground I have come across so far. With options from unpowered tent sites, to glamping (glamour camping, everything already set up) to caravan spots to beachfront apartments, this campground has it all.
There is a huge number of staff, can get as high as 200 during the New Year peak. If you have a problem (like struggling to maneuver your massive caravan around, or plumbing problem in the apartments), they have someone able to help.
There is a huge amount of facilities like heated showers, and toilets, shared kitchen area and even a lounge. The swimming pool and slides are huge fun, the playground and trampolines are hard not to miss, and often busy during the mid-day.
The only downside is reserving a spot for New Year is very hard, as the people who reserved it last get to reserve again for the following year, before it opens for public picking.
For a solo camper to a large family Ohope Top 10 Holiday Park has it all. I will likely go every year.
