What a relaxing and rejuvenating break! Absolutely perfect. The bird and sea sounds are just perfect for tuning into nature. There are so many positive things to say about this piece of heaven but one thing worth mentioning is that you will not be disappointed. Thank you for the experience. It exceeded my expectation.

Yes, it's steep, but oh my goodness, where will I start! Fantastic hosts, kind and helpful. Couldn't get a better setting, with bush one side and ocean on the other. There is something very cathartic about Ohiwa Seascapes Studios, character filled, serene and relaxing. The bed, super comfy. Our studio unit was clean and with great facilities. The view from the kitchen revealed hens happily fossicking among ferns and greenery, totally delightful. I just love the huge full length mirror!
A perfectly lovely stay, thank you so much Karen and Stephan 🌠

What a magic spot! We loved our stay here, in a beautiful studio room. The property is elevated, giving stunning views, and has a gorgeous garden setting. The peace and quiet was a relief, with Ohiwa being a lovely secluded spot, away from roads and traffic noise. Just over the road to an endless and nearly empty pristine white sand beach and warm water to swim in. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

What a delightful place to find. I stayed in the loft studio, where surrounded by a terrace, you are totally secluded, as if in the treetops. Just below, the sounds of the surf lull you to sleep. This is a place I could return to again and again.
It's an ideal place for rest and reflection, to do some writing or art, or for a romantic get together.

Lovely host who let us know their was a food festival on so we had the added bonus of enjoying that. The drive is very steep for smaller cars but there is good off street parking. Room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Stair so wouldn't be any good for anyone with mobility limitations. Fab views and across the road from a wide sweeping beach. Didn't use the spa bath due to water limitations but it looked very enticing.

We love this place so much. This was our second stay and we are already planning our next holiday here. It has very comfortable facilities - everything you want, wonderful hosts, peace and quiet, beautiful scenery through stunning Pohutukawa's and a glorious virtually deserted beach just 2 to 3 minutes walk away. This place is a real dream.

As someone who travels a lot with my work and uses a range of accomodations places, Ohiwa Seascape Studios is a total gem.
Karen and Stephan's warm and welcoming hospitality creates an environment where you come and just 'be' and leave feeling cared for during the stay.
Only three studios, in a beautiful bush setting, with beautiful garden for use by guests and a lovely sea vista. The layout of the studios maximises privacy and minimise noise from others unlike most motels etc. Almost felt like I was the only person there.
Spacious 1 bedroom studio, well equiped kitchen, lovely modern interior design and furnishings and bathroom. The quality, taste and healthiness of the continental breakfast was a delight. I was only there for one night with work but wished I was staying longer.

Lovely place, very private. But of a weird start with an Earthquake and Tsunami watch but owners remained available and very attentive. We had a great time staying here and highly recommended it to others.

Stephan greeted us on arrival and shared need to knows. And later supplied us tomato sauce. He has thought of everything. Heated flooring was a neat touch by the jacuzzi 💛 with views. We loved our little stay kinda in the bush on the seaside. We will definitely be back. Perfect getaway stay.

This place is amazing, we'd love it, so peaceful and comfy! Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to escape from the day routine even for one night.

Great host! Booked not too long before arriving and the gentleman was very quick at getting me checked in. Was offered milk for my tea and shown to the room. Beautiful ocean views from the west suite. That said, if you have accessibility needs, the stairs are quite steep and so is the incline to the parking area.

Absolutely stunning spot! A magical place to stay, and Stephan is a wonderful host!

From arrival to departure the experience was flawless. Beautiful place to take time out and reset. Clean and well equipped loft studio. Nature is truly at your beckoning.

Everything was top notch. The bed, the spa, the kitchen ammenities. It was quiet. The beach was an easy walk nearby. The design features were superb. Nothing was missing. Even the coffee was great.

a beautiful location with a gorgeous garden overlooking the ocean, very well stocked apartment, spaceous, and comfortable bed. The next beach is very nearby too.
The host, Stephan, is very friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seascape Studios. The rooms were light and airy with all the essentials. A peaceful setting with access to the grounds and easy access to the beach. We had booked with friends in the adjoining studio and found it an ideal spot for a relaxed time to enjoy ourselves, and the space to share meals and recreation time. Opotiki is 10 minutes away with a relaxed vibe, nice eating places as well as good supermarket.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings. The drive is stunning! Room is very comfortable and well equipped. I will most certainly book here again.

What We Liked: Ohiwa Seascape Studios provided the most idyllic and quiet escape. Stephan was a very hospitable host; we were surrounded by divine vistas, met by friendly locals and found stunning walks to entertain us. We couldn't have asked for anything more! Would most definitely recommend.
Beware of steep driveway and small car park.

The only thing I was let down on was the bath water, it was dark brown, no matter how many times we filled it, and the shower, same thing, the bathroom had a very yucky smell, like fish. And there was no aircon as advertised. Other than that it was beautiful

Spend a night in the "Honey Loft" studio. Nice, clean room with plenty of space for a couple. Got everything we need for a weekend. Appreciate the plunger coffee and chocolate treat in the fridge. Only draw back is a lovely separated bathroom/ toilet across the balcony. Can be a little challenging in the middle of the night (especially winter).

Beautiful, quiet spot. Fabulous views. Everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing break. Great communication. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful location. Had booked the Honey Loft room which was a gorgeous room with a balcony overlooking the yard and views of the beach. Gorgeous interior and immersed in the trees really gave it a treehouse lodge feel. Rooms are well maintained and styled. Well priced. Breakfast was well priced amd portioned. Staff are very friendly and considerate. Gorgeous location right on the beach. Definitely recommend and will be happy to stay here again.

Fantastic! The location is stunning, the rooms are fantastic, well equipped with a Jacuzzi bath ( including a rubber ducky) and great little kitchen. The room was beautifully decorated too. The owners are very friendly. It's a little drive outside the centre of Opotiki, but worth the drive to stay in such a beautiful place.

Fantastic location and apartment clean cosy with great views and really quite even with all 3 units booked.

A beautiful setting with lots of Tui's in the trees and lovely views out to sea. Stephan was very welcoming and helpful. Across the road from a nice quiet beach. A piece of old fashioned New Zealand.

I thought this was a great place to stay. It has a beautiful outlook and is handy to the beach and harbour. The room was great. It was very clean with modern decor and amenities and large spa bath. The hosts are very friendly.

The location, the graciousness of the host to allow me to bring my elderly dog with me. The warmth and comfort of the accomodation, the cleanliness, and only one minutes walk to one of the most incredible stretch of coastline ive ever seen

Lovely clean spacious room, kitchen, lovely views, the sea 'waved' me to sleep, owner friendly. Only problem was the room was up stairs, parking was not that close with only one of me to carry everything.

Lovely quiet place to stay everything was excellent. The bed was really comfortable would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Everything was there I needed. No problems or hassels. The room is set out well and looks out to a good view. I would 100% recommend.
