L. M.Experienced a fabulous weekend at Waihoanga. The accommodation exceeded expectations - the kitchen/dining was well equiped, spacious and warmed by a lovely wood burner. The sitting room was a calm welcoming space (also with a lovely wood burner). The Yurt was a highlight (also warmed by wood burner) - it provided a unique space for a best ever yoga session! The sleeping (bunk) rooms were cosy and comfortable.
The retreat is nestled in amongst scenic bush and is only a short walk from the Otaki river. All very lovely.
J. S.The retreat centre was the perfect location for our group of 15 + 5 kids and was a bit hit with everyone! The yurt was a special place to meditate together in a beautiful setting! The facilities were exceptionally clean, warm and well stocked with everything we needed for communal cooking. We had more than enough space and the beds were very comfortable with high quality linens/bedding. Andy was welcoming and the attention to detail and care taken of the buildings and property is very evident! Due to the building layout and preference of the owners that outdoor shoes are removed at the doors to the common areas (to understandably keep the carpeted areas free of mud in the winter season), I would recommend bringing a footwear option which is easy to slip on and off. We look forward to using this space again in the future!

S. S.We had a great stay in one of the cabins a few weeks back. It's a beautiful place right next to the river and the hosts are are lovely people. If you are after a peaceful place to hang out in the bush this is it.
C. S.Had a beautiful 4 day wānanga here. The bush setting is deceptively peaceful for being such easy access from Wellington - all you can hear is the birdsong and the cicadas. Rhian & her family were great, attentive hosts. Can't recommend this enough for your event or community group.
B. H.Waihoanga was simply perfect for our annual family holiday. Three generations and 24 members thoroughly enjoying all that Waihoanga has to offer. We would highly recommend the facility and the team of Andy, Rhian, Georgia and Valamaya (not forgetting Bryn) make you feel so welcome, we look forward to the time we return. P. J.Perfect spaces inside and out for reflecting, creating and celebrating with our team. Private, beautifully maintained, views and walks to river from front gardens. The Waihoanga team are lovely - great to communcate and organise with. We'll be back soon!
