The owners are the most delightful and caring people, rooms beautifully kept and offered a really homely experience was absolutely delightful stay

Brilliant place well looked after. My room is like a self contained flat. There is also a relaxing spa. Would recomend this motel.

Description of room was extremely misleading. Due to thin walls partner and I were outside in car talking, only to be accused of sleeping in the car 😵 owner wouldn't listen. $50 additional fee for extra person despite the website saying it was only $25. Price was good, but apartment was not what we expected. Nice surprise was the electric blankets.

I am so thankful to the owner for going above and beyond especially during level 4 lock down. Gosh we're do I start he helped with my flat battery in the rain he made sure I got my meals on wheels and also was a body guard for unwanted company I was bringing home. It's ok to give homeless people cofee but try not to bring them home. I don't know how to say thank you enough. Felt so comfortable, clean and warm. Thank you for having me.

Comfortable enough, friendly staff . Very noisy 'regulars' that are loud enough to cause discontent and frustration. But okay for location to town or overnight for travel.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this motel! Well presented, comfortable, outstanding customer service. Was very impressed. I had been mucked around at a previous motel, and the upshot was I had to find somewhere else for the night. Booked a 1 bedroom unit at A'Abode for $135 last minute which is very reasonable. To be honest I expected not to like it. I had been up since 2am to get to Palmey and I was a little tired and cranky. Lovely lady in reception put me in a good mood, and my comfortable, quiet room was just the thing I needed. I awoke fresh and happy. My preconceived notions were very wrong indeed. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I will definitely stay again should I be in Palmerston North again :)

Very helpful, clean bit spartan and good idea to bring one's own supplies. Over road from hospital so excellent for us. Good parking. Handy to cafes, petrol stations and access for out of town people.

Highly recommend this motel and have already told friends and family. Irene and Shaun, the hosts, were really friendly and very helpful. My stay was at short notice due to my husband having to stay in hospital over night unexpectedly. I was rather tired so I may have raved on a bit which they took in their stride and made me feel very welcome! Their information booklet about the facilities on site and the rules of do's and dont's was really well laid out and well written. I appreciated the lighting left on at night, good for security and for people staying on their own, or with children (and some adults) who like a night light but it wasn't intrusive. My unit was extra comfortable and very clean and tidy. Congratulations to the cleaners and thank you for your efforts. Keep up the good work! (Having cleaned motel rooms myself in previous work with a high standard required, I couldn't fault the cleanliness of my room.) Irene and Shaun were also more than happy for me to leave my car in their carpark while I waited for my husband to be discharged. Thank you for your consideration, it was sincerely appreciated and won't be forgotten.

My mother & I had to rush to Palmerston North when my dad was admitted to the hospital there. We didn't want to be far away so staying here was amazing! They were so great letting us have the huge flat for cheaper than usual & letting us use their car park while visiting the hospital. Couldn't recommend them more! 😊😊

very clean and well up kept rooms with a friendly service on arrival. very flexible when my dates were mixed up to stay at the motor lodge and they were accomadating in assissting me to to make our stay hassle free. resonable pricing and plenty of room if need be to house up to 6 in one room. highly recommended for a hassle free cosey stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable and cosy. Very clean. Handy to everything and with amazing hosts. I have stayed here multiple times and enjoyed every time.

After had arduous time with Carrama motor, Palmerstone North Hospital changed to A'Abode, owner was superb ( Carrama manager Meg she was vulgar to us) and helpful, we filled jubilant. They are offer to us free WIFI ( carrama charged us $10 for free wifi!!!) Free laundry ( Carrama charged us $7 per washing and dryer couldn't dry enough to use), Spotless room and they were charged tea and coffee every day ( carrama motor didn't charge room if you stay more than few days!!)

Wonderful owners, very kind and helpful when we stayed here to care for dying family member in hospital over the road, extremely accommodating and respectful of our position, changed our booking several times so that we could stay on, I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

hey every one. had the fortunate pleasure of staying at the A'Abode Motor lodge couple weeks ago with my family. Mum was very ill in palmerston hospital and this was a very stressfull and sad time,but just wanted to say thankyou to everyone up there especially the two lovely caring people who run the place you guys were so kind and caring that it just made caring for our mum a bit easier so thanks again and would stay with you before any other place in palmy,cheers A'Abode. Tiare,Craig and kids
