T.I do understand some of the other reviewers opinions. The lady does seem a bit strict and there are lots of rules. The place isn't that inviting and very quiet. Not a young backpacker hostel but well that's just what it is. The rooms are alright, the kitchen's alright, there's loads of space and its clean. It's minus two stars for the weird atmosphere for me but there sure is everything you need
B.There are a lot of negative reviews here and I'm not sure why. I have stayed multiple times when passing through for work and have found the owner Cherie friendly and the facility basic but clean and functional. Will stay again, it's an excellent option when I just need a bed and don't want to pay for a motel that I'll hardly be awake in.
S.Me and my boyfriend had a lovely stay here. Really spacious and well stocked kitchen, pretty good dining area and outdoor space too. Showers were hot and the TV/chill out space was perfect for a Saturday evening watching a film. To top it off the owner even shared some fresh veg and iced buns she had made.
Those rules i'd read so much about turned out to be nothing but stated courtesy for other guests. There is a room that opens into the dining area, so there is a sign that says please be quiet in here between 10pm and 7:30am. You're not allowed to cook in the kitchen after 9pm either.
B.Read some poor reviews on here and was a bit hesitant, but our stay was honestly wonderful. The lady who runs Pepper Tree Hostel was super sweet and we had some great conversations with her. Seems she's had a problem with people breaking the hostel rules, so I'd imagine the poor reviews are from those that aren't respectful guests. The hostel is close to the town central, and the distance is great because you can easily walk into town and check out the restaurants&shops without dealing with finding parking. Price is affordable, the house is very clean, and the owner gave us lots of suggestions for fun things to check out in the area. Highly recommended.
H.Nice place! I shared a mixed dorm with 2 other woman (it was really nice from them to put us single ladies in one room). The Owner seemed to be in a bad mood at first, but she chatted nicely with me and seems like an overall nice person.
n.Great staff, great place, fair price, good location. Just book in advance and don't interrupt the staff during dinner time etc and you'll be fine. People expect too much in my opinion. You get what you give. So give a lot.
R.It was not that bad at all, stayed there for 3 days, it was very quite, clean and has stable internet connection. Need to improve with customer service but in general it was okay.

L.we booked this accomodation for 4 nights an we were really happy about it. the bathroom was clean and also the rooms. The kitchen was equipped very good and had everything we needed. The accomodation was a 10 minutes walk from the city centre and we really liked our stay.
K.After reading the reviews , I was skeptical if I should stay there , but I did and dint find it as bad as it is rated .Instructions are clearly written everywhere and all the manager needs is that you should read and stick to them.The manager(male) whom I spoke to was not rude but upfront which is ok as not everyone's nature is the same.I had $5 short to pay for the key deposit but he was ok with it and dint crib. Blankets weren't washed , however he did provide 2 sheets , 1 of which can be used as a layer between you and the blanked and a clean pillow cover. To be honest, you don't need a blanket as it is warm enough in the room .Kitchen was clean and so was the dining area. Adequate parking space(~8). The hall area had a variety of books you can read from. There weren't enough plugs in the room , so I would suggest getting your devices charged in the hall room or other areas. I'm not sure if he provides an extension cord but you can ask the manager .
I would strongly recommend this place.

K.I had a good experience and I think this place doesn't deserve the bad critics I have read. The manager was very friendly to me, and even sent me back a shirt I had forgotten.
7.Had a quick stop in Palmy and stayed here, was tidy and clean, semi-social and close to town without 'city noise'

Ich Kann überhaupt nicht teilen was die schlechten Bewertungen sagen, wir wurden nicht unfreundlich empfangen, haben kostenlosed WLAN ohne zu fragen bekommen, der Preis ist Top und die Räume alle sauber, nur eingeschränkte Küchenzeiten sind etwas komisch aber man kann damit leben
