D. W.Our group has stayed at this motel before and this time we had 5 rooms. Pleasantly surprised as the motel has been upgraded. No complaints at all from any of our 11 members. Clean and tidy excellent service and we were welcomed when we arrived. We will return.

R. D. R.Very organized. Nice, will try to look around in the room.If I had a issue would like extra towels an a place to hang, my used towel to dry for another shower in the morning. Bag rack would be nice to have one for my guest shared with room.
B. J.We have stayed here before and it was spotless but does need some attention with the cleaning. Check in man was friendly enough. Bed very comfy, but the heater took most of the night to warm the room. In saying all that we would probably stay there again.
T. T.My daughter and I were down for a birthday. Arrived friday for two nights. staff were very accommodating. Location to the town centre practically right outside the door. The room was wonderful and the bed just right. Both nights I had an amazing sleep, considering we were next to the main road. Well worth the stay.
L. K.Was an absolutely lovely place to stay. Very clean. Staff were lovely. Only issue I had was the mattress was really hard and I didn’t sleep well because of it. But that is just me being softy. We would stay here again.
B. O.Place was nice and modern. The servants bought extra amenities each day during our stay which was nice for times when we ran out of coffee, sugar, etc. This also included towels (which had marks on them). There was no air conditioning in our room which resulted in a stuffy and humid environment especially when the outside temperature didn’t dropping below 20° at night. I would probably only stay here again if we got a room that had air conditioning.

Z. S.Very clean, nice rooms with modern interior. Just got new heat pumps installed and it worked well. Very friendly and considering staff. They called me to check if I am in my room before reception closes to make sure I can get in. Only downside is access to motel since there is busy roundabout and no real pedestrian crossing

C. O.The room itself was nice enough, the bathroom especially. Tidy and well kept. But after returning in the evening to find a pair of shady hooded figures smoking in the parking lot right near my room windows, I admittedly did feel a bit unsafe at the place.

R. N.Exceptional service and impeccably clean accommodation. The motel is a stones-throw from a main motorway, the only downside to it's location is that it is positioned on what is (functionally) a one way road due to un-passable mid-road barriers, so getting in and out without stress will require a bit of time looking over local maps so you can negotiate the unavoidable nearby roundabouts that will give you the option to point yourself in the right direction. Charge-back is available with several local food outlets, and the guests parking is ample. Best of all, the hosts are completely charming!

My husband is disabled, the Amythest Court Motor lodge had a room with a walk in shower with seat, an excellent shower handrail, high raised toilet, easy bathroom hand basin to wash that best suited his needs and my needs to keep him comfortable, clean and safe, while we stayed.
A disable carpark was also provided.This was just outside our easy sliding door to access.
I enjoyed the free Wifi access, thank you very much Kenny for connecting me.
We had plenty of teas, coffee and chocolate drink sachets to choose from as well as a good size bottle of fresh full cream milk. I can't forget the delish size shortbread biscuits provided. They tasted real good!
We ordered the Continental breakfast trays, they were always delivered on time and with a friendly smile and a "Good morning" greeting from staff. We enjoyed a healthy start to our days.
I recommend the Amythest Court motor lodge. We were provided with the comforts of being home.
We will definitely return.

D. M.Amethyst Motel is a great place to stay. Always clean and tidy. Staff were amazing and the manager was very hospitable and accommodating. The best motel we have had the pleasure of staying at in Porirua.

Gardens look like ashtrays as no designated smoking area.
Managers hospitality skills were terrible. He was terse & sullen throughout our week long stay.

W.Not impressed that upon leaving my bag behind, when my daughter went to pick it up, she was made to wait 10 minutes at the counter before being attended, even though the manageress could be seen just sitting in the back room. She was then told to vacuum the carpet by Sandra Carrick after walking in a small amount of sand. The very nice cleaning staff whom were there offered to do it, but the manageress insisted my daughter do it,she is pregnant. This is disgraceful bullying from a person who should not be in the hospitality industry. Upgrade your rude manners in person & on the phone as I was appalled at the way I was spoken to just trying to book this place. I will never return to this motel until management gets an overhaul with pleasant staff. We have stayed in many hotels & motels in NZ this year this one had the rudest management. You should be ashamed of the way you treat people, I feel sorry for your staff.
