W. H.The facilities are top notch. Easily have one of the softest beds I've experienced in a hostel. The bathrooms/shower area is comparable to a nice hotel. Though i experienced a slight discrepancy during my stay, the manager was more than helpful in correcting the issue. Will definitely choose this hostel again in the future.

M. D.I almost didn't want to book this place, but was convinced to do so by a friend. I was super impressed with the room. The bed was nice, big and comfortable, the room was stylish with a great view of the mountains and the price was really good. There was also Netflix in the room, which was a nice bonus. The location is close to most things, but noise was never a problem. When I come back to Queenstown, I'll most likely be staying here.
L. L.This is definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Friendly staff, clean facilities, comfortable beds and you get 2 pillows. Bathrooms we're very clean and up to date, plus private showers which is always nice! Kitchen was great, had no issue being able to cook all our meals and the outdoor patio with the BBQ was awesome. The only suggestion I would have is having lockers inside the dorms, instead of being in a separate room or having locks on the cubbies in the rooms. Overall great experience here and would definitely recommend!!

J. B.Very good and modern facilities, comfortable beds and great service. Free Gadgets for hire and not too busy for Queenstown. The reception hours were a bit too limited due to Covid-19 and the Kitchen was a bit small for the amount of guests, but other than that it was one of the best hostels I stayed in.
T. S.Super comfy and clean hostel, one of the best hostels I've stayed at in NZ or AU. The kitchen is modern and well stocked, the beds are really comfortable and a bit pod like, therefore offering some privacy. Plus the place is in a great location to get to activities. The staff are really friendly and helpful, Liz in particular gave some great advice and was always happy to help.
S.I was a solo female backpacker and all I have to say is absolutely stay here if you're in Queenstown! The staff is incredibly accomodating and sweet!! The beds and the storage are great, the washrooms are spotless, the whole hostel is new and looks great. Everyone staying at the hostel is friendly and kind, I couldn't have asked for a better hostel!
E. J.Excellent hostel. Firstly the location is great, right in the centre of town. Staff were really friendly and the beds super comfortable with a usb socket by each bunk. Great kitchen and chill out area. Added bonus of being able to rent a gopro or a bike completely free. All in all good value for money. Highly recommended
D.It’s a clean and warm backpacker, the beds are so comfortable! And privates like a capsule. It’s my second time choosing Adventure Q2. You feel at home!
L. B.I stayed at this hostel when I first arrived in NZ and it feels like a home away from home. The facilities are cleaner than I could clean and I am the Monica Geller of clean! The beds are so cosy and comfortable and the lounge and kitchen are great for socialising. With only 50 beds you get to know everyone quickly and it feels very homely.
D.Insane hostel. I was in a 6 bed dorm, every bed comes with it's own charging ports, shelves, storage cupboard, privacy curtain and reading light. Beds are comfy and modern. Rooms are spacious. Communal areas are comfy and amazing, lots of events held so atmosphere is great. Kitchen is well equipped, cleaned twice daily and the staff are all helpful and friendly. Cannot recommend enough.

They have some of the highest standards of cleanliness I have seen in a hostel, not to mention the location is amazing! All around great experience! :)

- this is very openly a party hostel (the keys to the dorms have bottle openers on them). Those wanting some quiet time or avoiding alcohol might want to look elsewhere
R. S.Best hostel in queenstown! Cosy, relaxed, great staff. Always clean. Bathrooms still look brand new. Great amenities in the kitchen. Spotify and Netflix available in the common areas. Great vibe - wouldn't say party hostel but definitely very friendly. Hairdryers/straighteners/gopro available at reception for free use. Laundry also done for You! Can't rate this hostel highly enough - they've nailed it!
Y. M.An absolute gem, this hostel has everything and more. The AQ crew are A+ and nothing is too hard for them. If you are wanting the best this is it! The dorms are clean and have so much room, the kitchen is great, all bathrooms are clean.. seriously one of the best hostels I've stayed in, EVER.. Can't rave about it enough.

I was just unlucky to get the only room right next to the kitchen from which you can hear the kitchen's aircon all night long while having to go upstairs to take a shower.
C. K.The best hostel in Queenstown, excellent facilities, well thought out kitchen with oils, spices and eggs. Nightly activities, easy to meet people and be social. Rooms are super clean, as our bathrooms, stay here or AQ1, the sister hostel.
S. B.The top end of hostels, this is one of the best in NZ it has it all. Very comfy beds, amazing showers and a very friendly atmosphere. If you can get a room then do, it's busy for a reason!
B. S.Great hostel! Stayed here on three occasions. They kindly held some excess luggage of mine while I went out hiking for a few days. Location is very central, one block from local buses and same street as the Intercity stops.
Lots of nice little touches; like individual hooks for each bunk to hang towels, hook on door to hang coats, privacy curtain on bunks, individual powerpoints and light for each bunk, plenty of storage and shelves in rooms.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, always an activity on offer, though no pressure to participate.
Hostel was very clean and well maintained. Very secure also, each level has its own coded door and a seperate room for storing luggage.
Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone traveling through Queenstown.
T. S.Awesome. It's super central and affordable. The rooms and especially the beds or bed cabins are perfect. You can hide behind a small curtain have your own small lamp, shelf and power access.
You get a towl as well and free and fast wifi. The staff is super nice and the facilities clean and modern. You can store your bag in the storage room or in your shelf below your bed.
I definitely recommend to stay here while in Queenstown.
K.I haven’t stayed at this hostel yet, but I’ve been in contact with the manager via email for a blog article. He was super friendly and helpful. They not only care about their guests but also about other queries. Can’t wait to see the hostel live.

S. M.Probably the best hostel I have stayed in. Friendly staff, free internet, even will let you hire a bike or a whole bunch of other equipment for free. It was quiet and easy to get some rest in. They have lockers in a dedicated room and all the lockers have charging points for your phone or laptop.
A. M.Phenomenal for a hostel. The staff were amazing and friendly, lots of room for food in the fridge, lots of kitchen supplies to use. For those who like activities they have planned activities every night. The rooms have individual lights, plug ins (including USB) and drapes. You can also borrow things from them like GoPro's, frisbees and umbrellas. I definitely recommend.
D. _.Right in the heart of downtown Queenstown. Friendly staff with daily activities planned. Small fridge (half a mini fridge) in the room for people who would rather store food in their room instead of the common kitchen. Very clean. Comfortable bed and nice washroom. Water pressure might be affected by number of users, but we were able to get good water pressure at certain times. Very quiet after 10 pm. They even write a little welcome message on the door to your room! Thanks AQ2!

A. M.There is not enough space on this post to explain how incredibly good this hostel is, but here it goes.
AQ2 is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed at. I have traveled the breadth of New Zealand and everywhere I stayed previous to AQ2 I found some things lacking. At some you wish for faster and free Wifi, at some you wish for warm and well stocked showers, at others you wish for a social kitchen and lounge. AQ2 has all this and more.
It is like if Steve Jobs were to rise from the dead, Forsake technology, and devote all his creative and productive energies towards building the best hostel humanly possible. Details you would not have thought of, they have thought of, like having several cupboards and a pouch alongside every bed for holding your belongings, such as a portable battery that’s charging using the per-bed outlet (which exists for every bed).
The staff and live-in guests are also fire. They are kind and helpful, as well as full of energy to get you excited about exploring Queenstown. I hope you are lucky enough to talk to Liz who clued me in on day 1 how great this hostel would be.
To end, if you are a traveler considering a degree in hospitality, tourism, or any more of these Dark Arts, look no further. Save yourself the great cost and 4 years of hospitality college by staying or working at AQ2 for an extended period of time, I truly cannot imagine a better hostel experience.

Geweldig hostel! Beste hostel dat ik heb gehad in nieuw Zeeland :D je kan heel veel dingen gratis gebruiken, olie, kruiden, handdoek, douchezeep, en je kan vanalles lenen, kabels voor je smartphone, haardrogers. Als je de kans hebt, zeker naar toe gaan, gegarandeerd dat je geen spijt krijgt!
