Firstly and most importantly for me, the location is spot on. Literally a 3 min stroll into town. Rooms are comfy and maintained to a high standard. The owner is a top bloke and looked after us during our stay. Kitchen facilities are top drawer and the living area very spacious. with cracking views from the property. Check-in and out was very easy. Would highly recommend staying here!

Just finished a four day three nights holiday in Queenstown at Alpine Lodge Backpackers. We rented the top floor apartment at the lodge. The lodge is at a great location as we are only two minutes walk to town and five minutes walk to the Gondola. The rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. The lodge manager is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. A great place to enjoy an awesome, chill out, Queenstown break. 👍

I cannot understand the negative reviews here! This is a very nice hostel. The staff was very chill and the atmosphere relaxed. I really liked that it was very quiet in the night even though it was fully booked and the rugby world cup final was on. Can strongly recommend staying there! The WiFi is very good too, if that is important to you.

This hostel was like home away from home. It was clean, quiet and the bed was really comfortable.The place was warm with the lovely ambiance of a fire in the kitchen common room. The staff were great, the kitchen was well equiped and I would thoroughly recommend this place.

A good quality backpackers with a discerning owner who does not let boozy groups in. We had a pleasant stay. The place did not feel crowded and the facilities were of a good standard. Good Internet. Could do with a BBQ.

Fantastic backpackers accommodation! Friendly and super clean tidy and considerate guests. Nice warm fire in a comfy lounge with lots of couches. Excellent kitchen with very well organized areas for all guests food. Rooms are very warm and cozy and just the right size for a few days stay. Shower/toilet areas are private and lockable and very close to rooms. 5 mins walk from main drag of Queenstown township. Friendly, knowledgeable and talkative Welsh host knows heaps about th area and good for a yarn! 5 stars would def come back next time!

I've stayed here on multiple occasions. Everytime has been amazing. Its clean, friendly, brilliant atmosphere and the staff can't do enough to help. The price is more than fair for the experience. I have stayed for a weekend and I have stayed for 7 months during peak and off peak periods. You won't find better accommodation for a cheaper price.

Pros: Location, not too crowded, clean, friendly host, heating in rooms, extra blankets available, kitchen was great Cons: Reception is not open all day so can’t leave luggage in luggage room and no early check ins, bed very uncomfortable (hard mattress)

For a backpackers, it's exactly what I would look for - simple and well kept, good value and good location (hard to combine in Queenstown), everything you need and family run with a "non party" policy - Excellent.

Clean accomodation with good service and good wifi. Earlier check in was possible, reception super nice and helpful. Only downside is lack of toilets in the top part of the hostel.

The manager is rude. He should not be holding a hostel. Unpleasant, lack of professionalism. ||Not allowed to drink alcohol or even beer.||No intimacy, he enters the rooms without warning. Constant reproaches, I had the impression of going back to school.||Alone, he can spoil your stay in Queenstown. Even the night manager to the same character. Not one to save the other.

Hello if there would be one accommodation we would recommend in Queenstown, it would definitely be Alpine Backpacker. Everything needed is there and on top of it, it s middle of city.||Staff is great.||Try it, you would not regret it.
