Just checked out today and loved it so much i had to do a review fast. The hotel is amazing, the 1bedroom garden view I stayed in was perfect, so comfy all the necessity’s you need. They offer a $10 food and beverage voucher daily if you choose to not service your room. Literally a 1 min walk to the city. The bed was very comfy and grown alchemist toiletries are the BEST. The decor is very inviting and I loved it. The service is absolutely impeccable. I want to make a special mention to Tomas and Benny from the restaurant they definitely need some recognition. They remembered our coffee order daily, remembered what we had told them we had planned for the day and asked us about it at breakfast the next day daily without fail. They made sure that we had a table over looking the lake daily for the four days we where there. They really made our stay amazing. Overall the staff are all amazing. The smell in the lobby is so delightful. This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. We will be back. Also I’m a travel agent so i will suggest your property in future :) see you again soon

Great service and Restaurant was excellent but we were really disappointed to find an overgrown tree outside our window that blocked any view and therefore the room was very dark.
It was the second time I had stayed there and definitely felt the outside areas were very scruffy and needing maintenance, the tree definitely needed trimming to allow light and some view.
Lovely hotel but felt standard has slipped.

Very average. This place claims to be a 5-star but it's 4-star at the very best... but still tries to charge the 5-star prices. I have stayed at the Millennium up the road and it is actually better for half the price. The lobby is the most impressive bit. Other than that everything else is very, very ordinary. The food was quite poor for the money and the restaurant service was actually quite slack. The rooms were ok, if a little tired, and there was not even air conditioning - again, pretty poor for a 5-star. Even the hot tubs are not available after 9pm when it is still light outside at 10pm in Queenstown.

Amazing spacious suite.
Clean & quite.
Friendly staff & reasonably priced.
Very happy with the stay and will come back again in a heart beat.
Thanks for making our trip memorable.
C.
Top quality hotel. Excellent lake views and the room actually has a proper fridge, unlike most other Accor hotels.
The location is excellent. A very short walk(there is a decent hill) and you are at the lake edge, cafes and shops.
The Restaurant has great food and service.
We’ll be back.

Very nice, appreciated views on lakeside apartment. Did not visit restaurant as limited service due to staff shortage (Covid). Parking expensive.

Stayed here for 5 nights in July for a winter birthday break. We booked the hotel as we didn't want to rent a car and needed something walkable to town. The location and views are fantastic. We stayed in a one bedroom garden view apartment, very roomy, nicely decorated comfy bed, choice of pillows and a nice deep and comfy sofa, bathtub shower and black out curtains. The garden rooms have a small terrace with outdoor table and chairs to use which would be great in the summer. Breakfast was good, choice of cooked breakfast and a continental buffet. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, house keeping good taped everything up on the room everyday. We used the hot tubs and the sauna and enjoyed both there are extra towels in these areas to use. Had a drink at the bar a couple of times nice views over the lake but service was a little slow despite not being that busy. Only negatives I'd say is the common areas smell very strongly of perfume to the point you can taste it in your mouth, which is really unnecessary and needs to be toned back.
Overall a great place to stay and we'll be back next time in Queenstown.

Like being in Europe. Gorgeous hotel . Super nice staff . Amazing deals for now ..make the most of the opportunity. So nice the hotel is a holiday in itself.
B.
Amazing staff & rooms. The comforts & views took our breaths away. Huge fireplace greeting in the door entrance. Great views of the lake below. Rooms well heated for the cooler days.
E.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! The decor is very cozy and comfortable. The location is great, we were able to walk to town and the view of the lake if you get a lake view is absolutely stunning. The staff were lovely and the room had everything we needed.
T.
Awesome "mountain chalet/lodge" type feel. Room was great. Dinner in their restaurant was great. If parking lot is full, they will valet your car free. They even loaded my bag in the car for me when I had to run back for something I forgot. Great service. Will be back for sure.
M.
An amazing hotel with exceptional service. The staff at the hotel go above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. I had booked a room and planned a surprise in the room for my wife's birthday. The hotel staff namely Alfonso was so helpful. They setup the room beautifully with balloons and decor. The room we stayed in which was the suite was spacious and modern. I cannot fault it. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
C.
Amazing. My partner and I wanted to stay somewhere decadent and our expectations were exceeded. Very helpful and welcoming staff. The food at the restaurant it amazing, both breakfast and dinner. The views from the restaurant and room are breathtaking.
P.
Nice, quite place. Gas heater at reception keeps a very intense gas smell, very unpleasant.
Good access to town walking.
Short of car parks.
No lake views on 7th level, not lift access for that floor as well.
No extra blanket on bedroom.
D.
Great hotel, great location and great views. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. During our stay we swapped between 4 rooms and not one room was the same, some with different appliances, kitchen sizes etc. which we found odd and inconvenient as we had to throw out food at times.
The staff were friendly and helpful, however, the staff knew little about Accor which was frustrating at times especially having to call overseas etc. We found that there wasn't much information about what was available in the resort, we only found out some towards the end our of trip that would have been nice i.e the rose bath.
The drying room needs to have some protection on the ground for peoples equipment, I had to bring my own pieces of foam to put underneath my board to protect it from the concrete.
The restaurant was beautiful, however, lacked options for vegans / vegetarians. In 2021 this is a must.

Best place we ever stayed in QTN. Lovely view with balcony, nice and clean room, super friendly service.
T.
Nice, quiet, comfortable, great view of the lake, great food, wonderful hospitality. Loved it. Stayed 4 nights
M.
Wonderful experience staff were exceptional, food was to die for, easy to use faculties and overall a great experience
L.
Great staff, food was high quality and room was fantastic. A bit pricey but it's a high star quality hotel so to be expected for quality. Only downfall is no pool or terrace area. Great view of Lake from the bar and restaurant area. Delicious Christmas dinner!

Their staff said it needed some work so they moved us to a similar room the next day. The room was with lesser windows but the aircon was working fine. The reception was amazing and attentive to our requests.
Good location 500m to most places downtown with a slightly hilly walk up, not too bad. We booked a one-bedroom king suite. The room is spacious but there's absolutely no view at all, all windows either facing drive where you can see people walk up/down the hill way or too close to the Peppers building you can see others and hear people talking on the balcony. The room windows are not double glazed so it's extra noisy. I checked with the reception first thing in the morning, staff was friendly, they said if it didn't say garden or lake view then it's facing drive ways. I know they won't say anything bad about their property online but I wish they could be more honest about the room, because the rooms were not cheap and we booked 3months in advance. Also the aircon in the room makes loud noises when it starts and stops, woke us up throughout the night, our poor toddler too, and we have another 4 nights here. I've told the reception and they said they will send someone up to have a look today. Also the cot was not ready upon our arrival at 6pm, we had to wait for it to get setup before we can get ready to go out for dinner. There was also a couple rubbish on the floor probably they didn't have enough tome to tidy up the room. The building is dated even though they touched up the interior. The pipes were really loud we were on the 6th floor and could still hear water flushing.
K.
In general the staff were nice but I had an incident where a new jersey with the price tag on it was missing from my room along with the shopping bag. I was surprised my things had been moved in the room and raised it immediately as I thought it may have been collected with the rubbish. My room mate had her things moved around too.Management was very slow to assist, and said they couldn't speak to the staff until after the weekend. Assured me they would be in contact which they weren't until I rung them. Poor service .
R.
It was ok. Very roomy for my one bedroom suite. Breakfast wasn't really impressive.the located in a bit hillside so need to do little bit climbing. Overall nice hotel.
J.
First time stay at this hotel and simply awesome experience. The facilities top class, the staff accommodating and friendly with 5 star customer service. From the friendly cleaner of our room to the waiter during our breakfast service all were obliging and engaging. We couldn't have asked for more. Definitely coming back. Thanks again. The Brodie Brothers.
F.
Beautiful hotel, we have been upgraded to a suite and have been treated very generously. Happy hour in the hotel was amazing, the food and the professionalism of the staff is top tier. We loved every moment and minute of it. Next time we will come back and I will definetly buy those extremly comfortable and stunning bathrobes. (i regret not having it boight on our stay!)
C.
From check in to check out, the staff and service was second to none. Nothing was a problem and eveything was done with a smile. I couldn't recommend the hotel highly enough and we will definitely be back.
Thank you for an amazing stay.

Had a perfect 4 night stay at St Moritz. Spacious, tastefully designed room and great amenities. Breakfast was delicious (order main from menu + continental buffet). Excellent location - walking distance to city centre. Would definitely stay here again.
C.
Welcomed with a warm greeting and a sense of calm. Lovely location on waterfront and nothing was too much trouble for our terrific hosts. Will definitely stay again.
A.
Only complaint is walking back up the steep hill to get back to hotel. Very traditional. Staff not very knowledgeable. Otherwise room is huge and mostly clean.
It's a luxury hotel but I think service can be better.
G.
Room are nice and with great view. Location is great at 3 minutes walking from the center.
One of the best breakfast I had on 15 days trip in various hotel
P.
Best hotel stay I've had in a long time. The staff were fast and efficient, helped me order and place flowers in the room before we arrived (even though we showed up early). They brought over glasses of champagne and a balloon when we were celebrating our engagement in the bar. The view from the room (king bed, mountain view with the balcony) was next level. Thanks for everything you do St. Mortiz.

Right from the welcome by Alfredo who really went out of his way to make our anniversary getaway so special, to Kim at breakfast and Ronak at dinner, the service was outstanding. The menu is amazing and Ronak the restaurant manager made sure everyone was well looked after. Great rooms, spacious, and just the place you’d want to be to spend time away from home on our first getaway post-COVID lockdown. Highly recommend the hotel St Moritz when in Queenstown. Couldn’t have asked for better!
M.
Highly recommended! Very spacious, cozy, clean hotel . Has outside spa area , jym . Fast room service. The location is the greatest, the view is awesome. Two things I would add- clocks in the room and little bit better quality of the breakfast.
L.
Loved spending our new years eve here. Dined in the restaurant, which has a breathtaking view of the lake below. Fantastic service....only gripe would be unavailability of parking space, we had a 10 min walk from where we found a parking.
M.
Staff was fantastic! (Room and facilities were also nice) This review is really for the exceptional staff. The cleaning ladies, Rubia & Kaling, at the front desk, Alfredo, Julian, and Daniel, and all of the restaurant staff! They all made our stay really lovely and went above and beyond with a friendly smile. There were other staff members who’s names we can’t remember who were also great. Thanks for a lovely stay and your thoughtful touches. -Room 325

We always have an excellent time here. 5-star luxury at an affordable price.
The hotel has a lovely ambience. Rooms are fancy and warming. The restaurant+bar is classy, with insane views of the mountains. The lobby is straight out of an alpine James Bond movie - complete with massive fireplace surrounded by high-backed reading chairs.
The service is wonderful. Very attentive, friendly, efficient. A highlight was Danielle, who helped us celebrate our anniversary in style. Thanks so much for the well-wishes! It was awesome having quick little chats and travel tips from the General Manager as she was going about her business too.
We always feel welcome and spoiled at the Hotel St Moritz. A firm favourite of ours, and we'll return every time we're in town.
M.
Beautiful hotel!!! Very friendly staff. They offer (paid) parking which was great since parking in Queenstown is very hard. The room was really nice. My only complaint with this hotel was their central air. It would not cool down the room. We used their portable fan but that didn't help either. So if you can't sleep when your hot, then would check to see what their other options are. But it is definitely a very nice hotel!!
k.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at St Moritz, we enjoyed a free room upgrade and breakfast, and had room service for dinner which was also lovely. The rooms are luxurious and relaxing. Alfredo and the staff are friendly, accommodating and efficient. Thank you.
L.
We choose Hotel St. Mortez for it's location and breathe taking views of the lake. We were upgraded to a suite upon check in. Breakfast was cooked to order and offered everything you might want. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with a separate shower and soaking tub. Molton Brown toiletries was a nice touch. Check in and out was seemly. One thing to note, there is a hill back to the hotel from town. It's pretty short but will leave you winded. Everything you need for a luxury stay in Queenstown.
M.
Being an accor member we received an upgrade to an apartment which was beautifully styled and cosy. Amazing views across the lake was a treat to wake up to and how you want to spend your holiday. Sadly the buffet breakfast could do with a little more love.....not quite there for a hotel of this caliber. We asked for a cappuccino and unfortunately it was bitter and un-drinkable and then charged for it even though our accommodation was all inclusive and when we told the waitress we didn't want it and why she was very blunt and rude. When we mentioned to the reception and she was pretty unconcerned by it. Its a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location just a few tweeks required
S.
We had a room on the 6th floor, and the views were exceptional. We couldn't have been more enchanted every time we looked out the window. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. The least pleasant part of our stay was the awful sweet fragrance that was in the reception area - instant headache material. Breakfast was 'okay' for that price point, but not amazing. It was quite carby, lots of brown food. Overall the staff were very friendly and professional, the position and rooms were fabulous, we would certainly return.
M.
A fantastic place to stay with great views from the Lombardi restaurant.
Location-wise it is a leisurely walk to the main city (just a bit over 5mins if walking at a moderate pace).
The rooms were a decent size however the queen bed was actually 2 singles put together which wasn’t very comfortable in the middle (would’ve been nicer to give a better room/bed options especially to Accorplus members). For this reason I have deducted a star.
Apart from that, the service was always friendly. Breakfast options was also good which helped us fuel up for a day on the slopes.
a.
Modern and stylish hotel. Comfortable warm with welcoming and friendly staff. Good wifi speed and very close (just down the hill to town) can easily walk it. About 500m to shops. Parking on site at a cost of about $20 per day.
S.
Very nice hotel and bar/restaurant! Our room was amazing, however we did not have a lakeside view.. if you have the chance, try and get a lakeside room for the views, otherwise you could be looking at other buildings. Our room had an amazing shower, overall nice bathroom, very nice king bed in its own room, and wonderful full room! Will definitely stay again if I come back to NZ / Queenstown!
M.
Fantastic place with lovely spacious room overlooking over the lake. Also I really loved the fact it is so close to town.😁
K.
We stayed at the Hotel St Moritz for a family getaway. The staff were absolutely amazing (despite being down on staff numbers after our COVID lockdown), nothing was ever a problem and they were all so friendly. The restaurant and bar served great food from breakfast to dinner. Make sure you get in for happy hour to partake in the cocktail menu. Room decor and lighting was cosy and warm - perfect for a chilly winter in Queenstown. Make sure to book a room with a view of the lake!
M.
We stayed for three nights over Christmas holiday and were pleased with our choice. The hotel is rustic, yet elegant. There is a very scenic view from the hotel and it is a very short walk into town downhill. The hotel also allows for one free taxi ride a day for guests, but we never needed it though we did not have a car. The staff was friendly and helpful. I thought I had booked a room with a view, but apparently messed up. Our original room was nice, but very, very dark without windows. Fortunately, after complaining, they did find another room with a view for slightly more per night. This was probably difficult for them because they were full. The room had a beautiful bathroom with plenty of space of personal articles. The staff helped us rebook a tour which was more conducive to our needs after an unexpected cold spell during the summer. They graciously did not charge us the 2% for this service. The food in the dining room was quite good and I would have been happy to eat there all three nights, but my husband likes variety and there were many choices in town as good and a bit cheaper. Fresh milk is delivered to the room daily for coffee upon request. After seeing other accommodations in town when our tour bus to Doubtfull Sound picked other passengers up, we knew we had the better hotel. The only thing critical I could say was that the free internet was anything but high speed, but that is typical of New Zealand. Nobody should be on the computer on vacation, but sometimes it is necessary for information about the local sights and airline info. All in all, spend the money and stay there in a room with a view.

Conveniently located close to the main restaurant/shopping/lively area. Nice outdoor bubble baths and efficient small sauna. Restaurant has amazing views on the lake and downtown Queenstown and overall service is good - though most of the staff are unexperienced. Suits on view lake was great - spacious and nicely decorated with a small balcony. Very enjoyable stay
U.
It was a classy experience. Rooms are generous size and designed very well. 3-5 minutes walk from town. Breakfast was delicious as well.
M.
Gorgeous boutique hotel with amazingly friendly & helpful staff. Great facilities & restaurant. Awesome view of activities on the lake from the balconies. Couldnt ask for anything more!
S.
Beautiful hotel, we stayed in a suite which was very large and well appointed. Great facilities including the gy fitness room and outdoor hot tubs. Staff we're all very friendly and welcoming.
C.
This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at this hotel and the staff are always so nice and friendly, they always made us feel so welcome here. We have booked a 1 bedroom lake view room, and were given the nicest room right down the end on the 6th floor with a beautiful lake view. The breakfast every morning was a treat, especially the ham, tomato and cheese omelet I had for the 3 morning I stayed there was the yummiest omelet i've ha. The full breakfast buffet had a really good selection of hot and cold food and all the yummy breakfast food you can think of.
The second floor has a coin operated washer and Dryer for Guests to use, it was so convenient to just have clean clothes to wear everyday. The Housekeeping was so thorough, a special thanks to Reiko who did a wonderful job cleaning our room. The turn down service was fantastic, we had found when we returned late in the evening, that bottles of water had been placed next to our bed, the curtains been drawn and the room look so tidy as it has been serviced again.
Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable, can not wait to book our return trip!
B.
Breathtaking views and ideal location. Staff was so nice...upgraded us to a totally fab 1 bedroom suite overlooking the lake. You can walk into town and all the shops and restaurants. Their restaurant could use some better lighting, however..it's way too bright. But the food was great...we had the venison and the scallops with octopus.
I would totally recommend this spot! Make sure you get a room that faces the lake. Otherwise, no need to spend that kind of money here.
D.
What a great hotel. This was the last hotel of our month tour of Australia and New Zealand and it was a great way to spend the last couple of nights.
Although we arrived early and our room wasn't ready, we were greeted with a smile and plenty of assistance in planning our days ahead.
Had an excellent dinner in the restaurant (we were late for our time as we'd been on a trip but it wasn't a problem).
Room was excellently appointed and great lake view, as it was from the restaurant.
There is a small steep hill to get to hotel but complimentary taxi after our trip up to mountain restaurant was very welcome!
s.
My husband and I had a very comfortable stay with our toddler. The hotel upgraded our room which meant there was plenty of space for my daughter to run around even with a crib in the room. The room amenities were amazing Molton Brown toiletries, nice wardrobes and a very warm throw. The restaurant served excellent food. The location of the hotel (good cardio climbing up that small hill) meant that we had fantastic views from the balcony. Cheryl for Sergei
R.
Better decor than Sofitel branded places, non lake view room has terrible view (driveway as opposed to the usual hills/city etc). Level 5 room had tasteful design although on the small side and the low ceiling (a 6 footer can touch the ceiling without tip toeing) gave a feeling of a really cramped space. Service was friendly and very prompt, my suitcases were brought up quickly (the attendant checked for our room number as we were checking in, and a request for a luggage rack was met quickly). Location is great near the lake. The under average view and low ceilings stopped it from being a 5 star review.
C.
We had booked a room with lake view, and we were not disappointed. The hotel staff were quite friendly. The room itself was quite nice too, with all the necessary amenities. Location wise, it is within walking distance to town centre with complementary taxi shuttle back from town if you didn't feel like walking. All in all, a great stay.
A.
The hotel has a perfect lakefront location.
It is close to everything!! Shops, restaurants and activities all within walking distance.
The rooms are spacious with amazing views of the lake.
The room service is exceptional. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The breakfast options are fantastic.
We had a memorable stay.
S.
The good: the staff and service are kind and prompt. The beds are very comfortable, and the wide range of pillow types was very much appreciated.
The bad: The view is terrible from the non lakeside rooms. It's just a driveway and a wall. The top floor does not have elevator access. With as expensive as the rooms are, I would expect a breakfast included, and I would certainly expect parking to be included. Neither is included and both are expensive.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.
D.
Very impressed with all the staff, everyone so friendly and helpful. We were surprised our room didnt have a lake view as when we researched the hotel I got the impression all rooms had views, also surprised that we had a key which proved quite difficult to use (room 626). My wife had to come and get me out of the sauna because she couldnt get the door open. Loved the breakfast and the view that went with it. Nice comfy bed and nice bathroom.
a.
Fully booked and post COVID it was understaffed. The room and staff was 5/5 but the small issues especially with the restaurant staff levels cost them a 5/5. Can't say how much we enjoyed our stay enough it was incredible but the small issues were a slight mark and hopefully a wake up to mgmt. Thank you to the Canadian bartender!! It was Trudeau right? LOL. Good luck to all the hard working staff thank you for making our stay special.
K.
Hotel is welcoming and has a nice ambience when you enter. All staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Housekeeping was good. Lakeview room with nice view and comfortable bed. Bathroom well appointed with good shower. Lovely restaurant with smiling and attentive servers and first class chefs. Our last dinner was extraordinary, seated by the fire, just perfect. Daily specials and happy hour good idea for those staying for several days and when you do go into town the free Green Taxi return service is a great idea to nullify the trudge back up the hill for the oldies or less fit amongst us. Good job all round guys. That is what keeps people coming back. Well done.
T.
I had room 536, and everything was great. The suite was spacious and there was no noise from the street.
My family also dined at Lombardi's and had the 2 course special with wine, which was great. My steak was cooked perfectly. My son enjoyed his selection from the kids menu.
We liked the amenities in the public areas - the log fire, the availability of water and cider to guests.
Valet parking was handy, especially as street parking in Queenstown would have been hard to find and it was time limited anyway.
There was only one minor issue and that was the bathroom was only partly serviced on 26/9. All the towels were replaced and the bathroom cleaned but the toiletries were not replaced, however that's only a minor issue and did not prevent us having an enjoyable stay.
