O.This was our second stay at Hulbert House, and definitely won't be our last. It is always such an amazing experience! This award winning property will surpass your expectations. It is the best location in town: quiet, tranquil, yet close to all the action. The heritage homestead has been restored to the highest level of detail and the hosts Jay and Jade are simply incredible. They will always make your stay special and memorable. We love the breakfast menu and the chia pots and to die for. 5 Star ++ Thank you.
A.Simply sensational. Was lucky enough to stay here with friends to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had a simply fantastic stay. The house, it’s history and location is second to none. A short walk out of town, sufficient to provide incredible views of Queenstown, but with a feeling of complete tranquility. The team were all superb, offering a very, very personal and special experience.
All out restaurant bookings and other needs were catered for, including sumptuous breakfasts and wonderful drinks by the fire.
We wish we could have stayed here longer and will definitely be back. Thanks team for a job, very well done and see you again - hopefully soon!
T.Jade, Jay and Sonya were the most amazing hosts! We had the most beautiful stay at Hulbert House, it was so personal and we loved the décor/history of the building. The team were so helpful in booking our restaurant and dropping us off and picking us up.

C.This establishment is nothing but outstanding with a very sold 5/5! Jay and Jade are beyond question, the perfect hosts who truly present the icing on top of this spectacular cake. These two assets together with the comfort and facilities of the room we stayed in come highly recommended for anyone looking to do the perfect getaway with their partner. A wonderful experience, I cant rate Hulbert House high enough. The breakfast provided was also something that set the start of a great day ahead and the decor and surroundings of the property are simply magnificent. Congrats team, we hope to see you again soon. S.Everything was wonderful. The Hosts Jade and J were attentive and also helpful in our decision making. They had an input on tours and dining.
The hotel was spotless.
The other employees were well trained and polite.
We would highly recommend the Hulbert to anyone who wants a change from a large format hotel.
This was a perfect ending to our 30 plus day trip.

k.The 6 room hotel is very luxurious and beautifully decorated (curated really!) Long time Managers Jay and Jade are exceptional. Amazing breakfast, and lux rooms with incredible views The canope hour each night is a lovely touch. It's very close to town and perfect for skiing with own carpark and drying room By far the best hotel in and around Queenstown
C.From the moment you walk in the door of this beautifully restored villa, you feel the "sumptiousness" of the beautiful surroundings. Attention to detail in the home is fabulous both in decor, furnishings and the staff service is outstanding! And when you have finished soaking up the atmosphere there are the beautiful canapes, wines and breakfast to come! A fabulous accommodation and so handy to the main centre in such a beautiful part of the world. Thank you wonderful hosts Jade, Jay and Laura.
S.I lucked into this spot as I rearranged my itinerary back to Queenstown. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Carolina, who knew my name and welcomed me to the Inn. The staff goes BEYOND and truly cares about your stay. The Inn itself is truly breathtaking. Beautiful design with intimate details and amenities - plush robes to the most luxurious bed! Jay and Carolina made my stay with providing excellent recommendations, dialogue, and food/drinks. I honestly don’t have the right words to capture this experience. If you are able to book this stay, you will not regret it! Did I mention there is an incredible wine/canopy hour/s and unbelievable breakfast? Again ... Im so looking forward to ‘returning home’ to the Inn. I teach hospitality and tourism and can only hope that my students will be able to replicate this type of hospitality and attention to detail.
Also, the location is close to town center. A bit of a hill ... but helps you work off your dinner for a dessert at the Inn!
M.I stayed here in August, and had a wonderful experience. The 1880s house has been restored beautifully, its like going back in time, while keeping all the modcons. The design is amazing - its busy while being completely restful and appropriate at the same time. The service is fantastic - local NZers who are proud of being in the house and providing 5 star hotel service. And with Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu as a stunning backdrop, you can't lose. Can't rave enough about it. Get in here before the rest of the world finds out about it.
s.Excellent boutique lodging hosted in an historic bungalow. Rooms had great views of the lake. My room was a bit smaller but overall ok. Staff and hospitality was excellent
