J.Convenient location, walking distance to town albeit with a steep hill. The manager is accommodating and helpful. A bonus was a coffee plunger and good shampoo.
As a hotel reception is small and some high wear carpets are worn however the rooms were spotless and the sheets crisp. Given the relatively budget price, it was great value and we'll be back for our fifth visit sometime.
V.Good Lodge for the price and location. The manager Vineet was quick on his feet to all requests we made during our stay. The room had good view of the lake and was neat and tidy. Also, the self service dining area of the Lodge has great view of the entire lake. Highly recommended for affordable accommodation hunters.
H.The lodge is comfortable, good value and staff are very friendly and helpful. The guest lounge with balcony is lovely with stunning views of the lake. My room had a shared bathroom and it was clean and airy. I was a bit worried about parking given earlier reviews but I had no problems at all and stayed in the busy January period. It's free and off-road. It's also a very short stroll to central QT. What more could you want! Will be back. Thanks Vineet for your hospitality.

A.Lovely accommodation, with ample comfortable rooms and excellent location. Just < 10 minutes walk to the city centre and 2 minutes from the bus stop to the ski resort. Perfect to travel without a car. Staff was very helpful. Probably best price-quality ratio I could find, although we traveled in off-season time.

M.Absolutely loved staying here, it was clean and comfortable. The room had a TV with sky channels, DVD player, heatpump, electric blankets, a kettle and various teas/coffees. Mugs and glasses (including wine glasses!) And plenty of power outlets. The ensuite bathrooms had a large shower space with great water pressure. There is a little patio/balcony outside each room with a table, chairs and an ashtray. The staff were super nice and very accommodating. Upon checkout we asked if they knew anywhere to park in town as we wanted to explore a bit before leaving and they had no hesitation in allowing us to remain parked there until we were done. Very close walk to town (yes its a bit steep but over quick enough 🤣). The price is absolutely incredible for what you get, have paid much more for lesser quality elsewhere. Staff are amazing and booking was a breeze. Will 100% book here again.

I.The rooms where good. The hotel staff where excellent. I have never had better customer service anywhere else. The manager Vinnit even made me tea and sat me down like an old friend to make me feel welcome. Staff tidied room when needed. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a decent place for its price. S.I have stayed here recently on a couple of occasions. I booked a small single room with shared bathroom. The room was always very clean. The shared bathrooms were not an issue as always free when I needed them. The lounge area was great with large TV and tea and coffee. The staff are always helpful and friendly. For me this was an excellent value stay. Only negative was the noisy drunk banging on his mates door in the middle of one night, but little the hotel can do about that. Good value for what I paid.

D.Friendly and helpful staff. The apartment was clean and commodities looked as new, and with good views. Just 5 min to restaurants and central area. The only perk is the street was quite steep to return, but is just over 150m. In summary a good option for the price.

K.We stayed a couple nights last weekend. Really comfy bed, modern bathroom, friendly staff, however the room we were in was very damp. You could smell the very strong damp when you walked in. Condensation on the windows and unsurprisingly mould on the carpet under the curtains, and on the backs of the curtains. We tried to get the heat pump to dehumidify the room, but it didn’t work. We left the room with the door ajar and heat pump running so hopefully some damp could be gone before the next people stayed. But you guys will need to address this as it’s damaging your carpet, and not very healthy to sleep in.
We’d definitely stay again, just not in that room.

D.All around a decent place. Very good location. Helpful manager and front desk staff. Single rooms are quite small, but entirely adequate. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Certainly very decent value in a fairly pricey town.

R.We booked one of the apartments and found the price so cheap during level 2. It was well equipped and very clean and tidy. Our view was to die for and the apartment was so close to town with one steep hill away. The quietest accommodation I have ever stayed in. Look forward to our next visit to the lodge. Cheers guys!
v.I love it even thought it's my first time coming to the place. The rooms looks clean and tidy. The kitchen and living room are nice and clean too. These place gives you a good outside view too. There are movies to watch if you are bored, free wifi, bathroom and showers, and it's close to the city center of queenstown. I definitely recommend Melbourne Lodge, especially to those who are new or first timers to qurenstown 😁
P.Stayed for 3 nights. Room was basic, we opted for a shared bathroom, shared with inlyn1 other room,, all of which were clean. Breakfast was plentiful. Communal lounge can get a bit busy in the evening, but nice and social. Excellent views from the veranda of the communal area.

K.A good location for walking access to downtown Queenstown. Our room had a partial patio view of the lake. The patio furniture was the most comfortable, but the room itself was just fine. Cold breakfast items were included in the room rate. Not very good though, I would recommend Halo's Forbidden Bite for some great breakfast one morning instead.

H.Simple and comfortable. There is air conditioning in the rooms, which is great. Water pressure in the shower is also nice. Our room had a walkout patio. There is a continental breakfast included. The view from the dining room is good and directly faces the lake.

C.The best shower I've ever had. Life changing moment for me. My vocabulary doesn't extend far enough to describe the shower. Room 28 if that makes a difference. The bed is super comfy. The area is dead quiet. The outside garden is lovely. Breakfast was good. Staff are nice. The only issue is the damp carpet in the room by the fridge that greets you with a rather unpleasant smell. I got used to it quick enough and everything else was above average so I can let that one slide.
If I'm ever back in Queenstown (and I hope I am), I'll be back in this hotel price permitting!

A.Very well-priced, and fantastic location. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast is included. The room was comfortable, with a newly remodeled bathroom and a portable heater for chilly evenings. The building is obviously an older one, with some facilities and furniture items that could use a refresh. It seems as if they are slowly adding updates, though. Overall, friendly, comfortable, quiet, safe, and central. As long as you're not looking for the most upscale place in town, this will suit.
M.Nice staff, decent size room. Breakfast was simple but well done. Bathrooms could use an update, but considering the price point I found it adequate. Shower head was like a high pressure washer though. Overall a lovely stay. (Change your shower heads!)

A.We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were super nice and breakfast buffet with nice view were simple but amazing. Definitely recommended for a great price and good alternative over a hostel. Our room was a little cramped but it seemed that other rooms were more spacious.
J.I wanted an inexpensive room for a layover after a very long series of flights -- something nicer than a hostel with a front desk, locking doors, and my own sink. Location is an easy but steep uphill walk from downtown. Lovely views. Big common room for guests with makings for tea and the like, and a shared fridge for munchies. Friendly staff, room was exactly what I wanted. Thanks to the Air New Zealand schedule, I arrived by 10 A.M.; front desk staff there were completely unfazed by my early arrival and had me plugged in by 11. Great value in Queentown. Shared showers were deserted, hot, and clean. Room was warm in the middle of the winter. Staff volunteered to take me to the bus stop with my heavy bags.

A.Loved my time here. Room was cute and tiny, with a basin and all I really needed. Lovely shared by private showers and toilets. Breakfast was fabulous with heaps of choice, including non-dairy milk. Location was handy to downtown, but be aware that the walk includes a steep hill, like I guess most locations in Queenstown do!

M.Loved our stay! We got a King apartment facing out onto Queenstown and in my opinion the best room in terms of the views. Considering how expensive Queenstown accommodation is this is a great value for the room and view. Breakfast is also included in the stay and it's quite good (pastries, toast, fruit, cereal, selection of meats and cheeses). The only thing I could fault is that we could hear the room beside us in the evening, so did wish that the walls were a bit thicker. All in all loved our stay and I would stay here again.

F.Location wise it's good just a few minute's walk to the town centre. The room is clean but you can hear the tv from the next room and the thumping from the floor above.
D.Nice location to the city, has a great hot tub, staff were friendly, bed was comfy. Showers almost too hot and fan in bathroom very noisy. Didn't try the complimentary breakfast but seemed basic but is included so no stress.
P.Reasonable price, buffet continental breakfast included. Warm dry rooms, with a good shower what more could you want. Not a palace, but there were electric blankets on the beds. I will go back again.
K.I had the luxury of staying here for about two weeks while in Queenstown. Some rooms may be smaller, but who goes to Queenstown to stay in the room??? Accommodations were clean, tidy, and humble. The staff was very quick to help anyone from out of town and would oblige any special needs if necessary. The price point was excellent considering the price of others nearby in a relatively expensive town. I highly recommend this establishment.

T.My husband and I loved our stay in Melbourne Lodge. The staff—including the breakfast girls and cleaners—were nice and informative. Breakfast is the same everyday, but is a good add-on. The room is warm, clean and quiet, with comfortable beds too! It is relatively close to town, takes about 8-10min walk downhill. Climbing back is a pain though! Overall, a good experience, and will definitely come stay again next time we are back in QTown.

A.Spacious, clean rooms. Free breakfast and good service. Access is difficult by walk. Has parking if you come by car. Not very near to supermarkets or restaurants, but not too far neither. I would stay again.
K.New owners, newly refurbished, warm, welcoming and very reasonable. Best location, so close to town and transport for skiing and adventure. Complimentary breakfast which was great with cereal, fruit, tea and toast. Staff very helpful and great local knowledge. We were a group of 6 and everyone was happy, we will stay again next winter

J.No problems, but this isn't anything special. It's an inexpensive option in an expensive town. The walk into downtown is only about 5-7 min but is straight downhill/uphill. Parking is minimal so once you get a spot, try to keep it. There is additional parking in the back too.
s.This place was amazing. Apparently it's under new management, which is obviously a good thing judging by the past reviews. We have stayed on 2 separate occasions now and both have been great.
Nice clean modern rooms (the lady - owner? tells me they have recently all been redone) and the location is amazing. It's a hill but its honestly about a 3 minute walk to the centre of town which was great, means you can relax a little knowing you can come and go as you please without a car or cab fare.
The views are beautiful and our room had a lovely little deck which we could sit out on as well as the breakfast/lounge area that had a huge balcony.
These new guys are doing a great job and we will definately be back

S.Within walking distance to the main CBD area. You do have to walk up a rather steep slope to get there, but Queenstown is hilly in general, and most accomodation that are not right smack in the center of town would require some kind of hill-walking.
Room was clean and decently sized. They had a DVD player, so we finished re-watching the first 2 episodes of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Breakfast was decent, with ham, cheese, croissants, some (canned, i think) fruits, milk and yogurt.
They had a hot-tub offer, so it was free. But as it is just beside the main staircase to the rooms, it provided rather little privacy, and everyone walking to the lobby from their rooms can say hi to you.
r.I stayed here awhile back and everyone was extremely kind. Suited my needs perfectly and was in my budget. Breakfast was great every morning. Hoping to stay here again.

J.This is a very comfortable place to stay in Queenstown, especially with the bed-and-breakfast format, so close to the centre of town. The guest lounge has great views of the lake and is relaxed and comfortable.
Rooms have recently been refurbished, with many offering stunning mountain/lake views.
It's under new management now, so a little harder to make direct contact but worth the effort if you can talk directly to the owner/managers.
Queenstown is a great place to visit. Put it on your bucket list!

You can walk to the lake, parks, pedestrian streets, downtown areas, coffee shops, bar streets, and experience local life. It is worth mentioning that the size of the bathroom is just right, the shower water flow is comfortable, it is worth staying.

Mit dem wirklich kleinen Zimmer (inkl. eigenem Waschbecken) war soweit alles okay, wurde auch täglich sauber gemacht, persönlichen Handtücher neu etc. danke! Bett war etwas eigenartig weich für mich und in der 2 Nacht war die AC noch an und konnte nicht abgeschaltet werden, so kalt, wurde am nächsten Tag behoben (die Tage waren bei uns echt warm, aber abends hat es abgekühlt).
Die Duschen waren groß und okay.
Ich fand aber das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz passend. Frühstück könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein, sehr einfach, auf der wirklich mit super Aussicht gesegneten Terrasse wurde nicht sauber gemacht, und kaputte Möbel nicht ersetzt, lieblos, das Personal war nicht wirklich freundlich, schade. Nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt, hat man das in Queenstown nicht nötig?

Este B&B consta de la casa original con habitaciones más viejas y de un edificio añadido en la parte posterior con habitaciones más nuevas y confortables (también más caras). La primera noche la pasamos en una habitación de la parte más antigua, con baño compartido. La segunda la pasamos en una habitación de la parte más moderna, mucho mejor que la primera pero también mucho más cara. El B&B es acogedor y cómodo, todo estaba muy limpio. Destacaría el desayuno, bastante variedad y productos de calidad. La red WiFi funcionaba muy bien.
Como puntos negativos, destacaría que Dispone de pocas plazas de aparcamiento y en la calle puede ser un poco difícil aparcar en temporada alta. La relación calidad/precio para las habitaciones con baño compartido es buena, pero el precio de las que tienen baño privado me pareció muy elevado. La amabilidad de una parte del personal dejaba un poco que desear.
