Excellent hotel. Beautiful bar and restaurant. Rooms have amazing views and staff are friendly. Only 4 stars because some of the amenities need updating, e.g pool could be better maintained. Bar staff were great to talk to and easy to get on with. Hassle free book In process. Close to town and the water front. Bed was comfy and spacious, however the bathroom needs a bit of tlc and an update. Recommend to anyone staying in Queenstown.

Lake view rooms have an amazing view of Lake Wakatipu. The rooms are nice and big and the bed was very comfortable. Came with all the usual stuff, tea, coffee (it was moccona which was nice), shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. Extra towels. Air Conditioning. Chairs near the window to take in the amazing views. Not much to complain about…
R.
Great stay in beautiful resort. Traveling with the Accor card we got a free upgrade to lakeside view. …
I.
We stay at the resort for two night and first time going to New Zealand. Nice Place, nice view, big resort, and clean room. and nice staff. nice swimming full. Many guests coming because sometimes full parking at the hotel. Recomemded Resort.
D.
They gave us a free roo. upgrade , and the lake view room was great. We appreciated that.
However the spa services are average, the hot tub which we booked was full of insects that we had to fish out. The staff knew we were going in the hot tub as we had booked. They should prepare the facilities, but no.
The pool was closed, but no discount. We came to this hotel for the spa facilities which were not fully provided. So where is the discount ?
The sauna was average.

Lovely staff , good service , not too many amenities in the room, lovely outdoor pool area too bad it isn't heated. Great for families and groups, accommodating breakfast service let me order a coffee from the outside bar and brought it to me without hesitation, buffet was great and we enjoyed our stay !
A.
Nice hotel and currently having good rates. Very few staff so service quite slow. Restaurant was nice but didn't see bookme discount until after - doh - couldve save heap o $
J.
Stunning mountain and lake views from room and restaurant. Very quiet and low stress. Easy parking. Add a Smart TV to the room and I'd give it another star.
S.
I arrived at Queenstown in the evening, and the hotel was spacious and luxurious. there have swimming pool that only guests can use and a jacuzzi with warm water. I used it at night ! Also restaurant in the hotel so I use it midnight food is fine ..haha I never seen hard texture fried chicken..like really hard texture.. and the breakfast was just plain delicious, so it was good to use this hotel ☺️
K.
Will definitely stay here again. Room is very comfy and tidy. Food is great and the staff are amazing. Trust me; have worked in this industry for 9 years :)
R.
Great location, nice and quiet. 20ish mins walk to town with best views all the way!

the Mercure lived up to what we expected as a family group - My husband and i had an amazing room with a view - level 1 206 - Some mornings i found it hard to start our day with such breathtaking views - The King bed was very comfortable we had two wing back chairs to look out at the .view. The room was very clean and serviced to a high standard each day the room staff were really friendly. We partook in the full breakfast 3 days out of the 5 which was really very good it paid to get down earlier as by 9.30 am some cooked items were a bit dry - The All day menu was very good and comprehensive . It would have been great if they had Pizza on the menu. The main menu in the evening was good however not very comprehensive. We were with my daughter and her little family husband and 2 young ones 4-7 the staff could not do enough to help with the boys changing the menu to their likings and generally very friendly.
V.
A great place to relax. The staff are pleasant, genuinely caring and go out of their way to ensure that the guests are comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
The carpets were a bit dated and dirty. A through clean would go a long way in presenting the room better.
T.
Great for a short staycation, the staff are exceptional, best of any hotel I’ve experienced in NZ - so kind and warm. Beds are super comfortable, view from the room was just like a picture, the place a little outdated but still a great stay. Buffet breakfast pretty good, would like to see an updated room service menu too. About a 10-15 minute walk downhill to the township, bit harder after a day of food, wine and shopping but only $7 uber home. Would recommend this place and stay again if I came down
p.
Parking was very difficult both on the street and within the hotel. This is a major when you have to trail around waiting for a park to appear like Xmas eve at Sylvia Park.
Staff are friendly and engaging.
Breakfast was not well setout with not much thought to how people need to crossover each other and back again. Toaster is not a conveyor type so slow. Some of the hot foods was not kept warm.
General decor is tired and in need of a freshen.
Distance to town is 25 to 30 minutes walking. A bit far for winter but ok for summer.
One lift was out of order and there were some issues with steps in dark places. There is a 1/2 step near the ski locker which needs better lighting to reduce the risk of injuries to all.
R.
What an amazing place to stay,, the service was awesome and the price was incredible.
We will be coming back
K.
Very pleasant customer service, lovely room over looking the lake, pretty good breakfast. Gym mainly cardio with a small selection of hand weights. Sauna room looked pretty good and would be ideal in the cooler months. Ski / bike lock up available. Hotel located up a pretty steep hill on the south side of town. Walking distance for the moderately fit and just a 7-8 min slog at the end. Good car parking first come first served. Will definitely stay again.
A.
Enjoyed my stay here for a working holiday. The place is rather outdated and well in need of some TLC but the rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly and the food is good. The restaurant could be spectacular with the view if they did something with the layout and design. The standard of service and style of the restaurant is completely at odds with what you would expect to receive with the panoramic glass and stunning view. A few small changes would make this place 5/5 any day.
V.
Amazing views over the lake. The lake side view room was spacious with stylish decor. A big bonus of this hotel is free car parking, a well-maintained garden and pool area. It was so nice to get into a hot pools after a long walk.
M.
Josh was great help for our large group, the other staff were lovely too. The reason for the low rating is the dated decor, some of our grouo couldn't get their heaters, tvs, or room keys to work. Another reason is the long wait for food from the kitchen staff for very simple orders. Over an hour wait for some chicken tenders and chips for hungry kids seems a bit silly really. If you are looking for nothing more than a bed at night this might be the place for you but be aware it is quite a way from town. An Uber in the day is $10 and $21 late at night.
R.
Great experience and good staff. Got upgrade to lakeview! Nice views.
M.
Stayed here for the first time, only for 1 night but had such a wonderful experience. Staff were lovely and the views from the dining area were amazing!! I definitely recommend a room with a lake view.
J.
Fantastic stay... Will be recommending to all..hope to see you next year👍
L.
Good place to stay. Within walking distance of town. Rooms were adequate staff friendly and breakfast had
plenty of variety. Lovely views of the lake just the Restaurant menu was lacking.
M.
beautiful views & very nice customer service. Only thing letting this place down is food & menu, their food made night market food look gourmet
K.
Good service. Very friendly. Room was already cleaned.
I.
Usual great standard for an Accor hotel. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Great views from the rooms on Lvl 3. Needed extra blankets to stay cozy at night in preference to having the heatpump cranking the whole time. Good place to stay for a few nights.
M.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant and bar were quite nice. The hotel is a bit strange as it looks like it had been renovated not that long ago but still looks dated. The lake view rooms have a stunning view and well worth it, however, the room i stayed in made weird noises all through the night
C.
The front desk staff and maids A1. The view A1. The only complaint was the dinner food coming out of the kitchen. It can't be cooked by a well trained chef. I give 4 stars but it could've been 5. I was hungry so ate what I could. The old yucky oil. My local fish n chip shops it far better. I also saw another customer leave half of her chicken meal. I didn't say anything because I had to wait so long and I was starving.
L.
Love the Mercure... comfy beds, great showers... not to mention spectacular views and really service oriented staff
s.
A different sort of fridge would make a big difference in summer as cold drinks are a must very hard to cool drinks.Very outdated room an old smell to it I would say it was the very old carpet.swimming area good but older kids swinging long floating tubes were annoying parents of younger kids as the pools are not big enough for that. Parking is limited unless you are privileged enough to have one reserved for you , am a member of accor hotels but did not seem to get that privilege it says first come first served but is not. Might have to see what my privileges are stayed with there group regularly overseas ibis styles etc. Will be trying other accommodations in the future.
T.
Walls are thin, needs more buffet variety, need to stock up coffee and tea when room is serviced. Staff are friendly and cater to your needs. The people who work here make your stay worth it.
T.
STAFF NEEDS TRAINING, POOR COMMUNICATION.
We stayed there for 4 nights and whenever we had breakfast the staff started calling for payment immediately after serving it.
And the worst thing was that even after paying all the dues already and a 200$ Bond for security, they Pinged us for payment(just 25$) 3-4 times without communicating with their team.
We don’t expect this type of behaviour from Accor group of hotels.
Rest Rooms were good with a nice lake view and a brilliant Ambience.
C.
The staff were super friendly and helpful and food from the restaurant was great. Lovely pool area that my kids would have a great time at in. The views are amazing from here and provide a different perspective. Although set up in the hills it only took 15 minutes to walk in to town at a leisurely pace, going up the hill on the way back provides you with a cardio workout though so if you are not in great mobility maybe catch the bus or Uber back.
I would definitely consider staying here again.
M.
Check in and check out easy. Very attentive staff and we were papmpered a lot. The views from their rooms are all spectacular! Food is lovely and you got to dine with a lakeside view in a ceiling to floor glass window. Will surely come back and recommend to everyone we know. :)
M.
Accommodating professional staff, friendly receptionist, paid a bond on top of room price which was returned when checking out, easy parking, located on a hill having a car would be beneficial especially during winter, beautiful views of the lake and mountain from top floor, our stay upgraded due to water issues that was quickly attended to by maintenance. Warm rooms, spa located outside next to pool looked very inviting in the cold. Food for dinner was filling, season well to your own preference with sachets provided to enhance flavours. Stayed one night, will definately stay there again.
S.
For the price you pay, we thought we didn't even get the bare trimmings in the room. No blankets for the bed (esp during winter), not even a box of tissues for the room (we had to resort to using the toilet paper). Dinner was fine, but the breakfasts we had were very average at best. Service all round was great though!
J.
The lake view rooms have a spectacular view of the lake. The room was very clean and spacious. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. Its about a 30minute scenic walk to the town or a 7minute drive. The restaurant also serves delicious food. Highly recommend if you want to wake up to the unobstructed views of the beautiful lake with the mountain backdrop.
A.
Had an amazing five night stay at Mercure Queenstown! Upon arriving, we were welcomed by Ren, who is the nicest person we've ever met! We were pleased to find out that we were upgraded to a room with lake views, which were stunning! The location is perfect: a five minute drive from the CBD, not crowded, and plenty of free parking. The breakfast was also delicious. We even decided to return for Christmas! Very highly recommended (and a great value)!
I.
An awesome family hotel. Staff amongst the friendliest we've encountered
J.
Wonderful hotel. Very quiet, beautiful view of lake and snow on mountains from our room. Beds were comfortable and room spacious. We had buffet breakfast and dinner there. Meals were good. All staff were friendly, helpful and are a credit to the hotel, especially 2 male waiters in the restaurant Sunday night. Couldn’t have been more attentive and pleasant. We will return.
A.
Love the view. Our room is nice. Great facilities of spa, swiming pool (wish its heated), sauna n gym.
D.
We were on our 10th anniversary trip and this resort and city was a great treat! Can't praise enough!! Location to views to service to food.. everything was excellent. The cons- The views from the room was so great that you wouldn't want to get out to explore the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was excellent, and the view they have at the dining area.. aah. You would want to eat all day. Very well maintained property. Staff was very good.
N.
Great view (pic from our room) and friendly staff. The room was as expected and spacious. The only issue was the very load groan sound from the lift ever few seconds. It stopped late at night but ask for a room away from the noisy lift.
The $21 breaky was just ok with basic buffet fare. If you want fresh healthy food go elsewhere.
The kids loved the hot spa then freezing pool.
L.
We did our propose at the Mercure conference room. The staff was so helpful and especially thanks to Ren and her colleagues. They made us have an unforgettable memories!!!
M.
Lakeside view rooms had a fabulous view of the lake. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were accommodating and helpful. The only downside is that you have to drive into town, there is no way you could walk - especially up the hill. Overall, a great stay!
S.
Great views from the room. Good facilities as well but buffet breakfast was not good and all dishes were dirty. Could be improved
J.
Great budget friendly hotel. Went in the winter for skiing so the pool was freezing but there are 2 spas. The buffet breakfast is the same everyday sometimes you might get sick of it.
I.
The best thing about this hotel is the magnificent views from the higher rooms facing the lake and the Remarkable mountains and from the restaurant which has good food. The housekeeping is also good. But most of the rooms do not have views, the breakfast room is cramped and poorly ventilated. The hotel charges a rediculous additional fee of $60 per night for a third person in your room (not including breakfast). Also keep in mind that the hotel is out of the town and there is a steep and long walk between the hotel and the town. The hotel has many tour groups so both the restaurant and the breakfast room can be very busy.
H.
Spacious and clean room, friendly staffs especially Benny and Ren, thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay and loved the lake view.
E.
Fantastic place, great staff, lovely rooms, perfect lake views if you select the right room. Loved it. Highest recommendations.
B.
The staff were very helpful and the room was lovely. The view from our room (lakeside) was stunning and marvellous to wake up to and watch change as the evening closed. The pool and spa was perfect for relaxing and plunging in after doing the Queenstown Half Marathon. It's a distance from town, but worth it just for the view! I'd give more stars except for the unavailability of a decent coffee.
S.
About 2km from centre of Queenstown which can be walked though a bit of a climb on way back. Spacious rooms, we were upgraded to lake view which was very nice. Super clean and strict Covid protocols in place.
T.
Spent two nights here at Mercure Queenstown. The hotel is not down at the lake level and it's best to have your own vehicle.
We chose to stay here because of the views, the bigger rooms and it's less crowded than the other hotels down near centre of town.
Rooms are clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good facilities available at the hotel as well like the heated spa.
Views from the balcony and the restaurant is amazing.
Free parking is available however a couple of times it was full and we parked outside.
A.
Friendly staff, gorgeous views, nice clean room
M.
Stunning views of the lake and mountains. Super friendly and helpful staff (one staff member helped us park our car when there was no parking left in the lot and it was freezing outside but he made sure we had a spot!). Really nice pool (much too cold to use sadly!) and nice hot tubs (we loved that you could order drinks to the hot tubs and they had nice jets, bubbles and lights!). The breakfast buffet was pretty pricey but the food and atmosphere was delightful! They also charge you for just about everything so be aware of that when making local calls or anything. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again for sure!
A.
Absolutely incredible manaakitanga from staff right from the beginning.
-Management fixed the pricing after a booking.com error
-Bags allowed to be stowed before our official check in time
-Bags taken to our rooms without even asking the staff (ka rawe!)
-Staff left a personalised hand written welcome card with a couple chocolates in our a room - amazing touch
-Staff have been really hospitable and kind
-Brekky is a solid in house option
-There's a large pool for adults and a shallow pool for kids. There is also a spa, sauna and gym which are all solid options
-MY MAIN REQUIREMENT WAS MET - the entire venue, our rooms and bathrooms were very well kept and tidy! Cleanliness is the most important thing for me and it is a well looked after resort across all areas but most importantly the rooms
-Parking is plentiful. Considering its darn near impossible to find parking in queenstown the resort has plenty car parks for guests which is such a relief after a busy day out enjoy this incredible whenua
When we come back I'll bring my whānau and friends to stay ❤✊🏾
S.
We had a superior room with a view of the lake. The room was spacious and clean but there was only one chair to sit on. There was ample room for another chair and the room would be occupied by two people most of the time. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the Liverpool waiter in the restaurant (can't remember his name). The hotel itself had been upgraded a little since our last stay but could obviously do with more renovating. The food was OK and reasonably priced.
D.
Great place to stay. Excellent service friendly helpful staff great views over the lake and the garden view isn't bad either. Nice pool gym and Sauna
A.
Just a hotel, nothing special other then the views! Amazing views!
Walls are thin enough to hear the next door rooms, the elevator and people walking up and down the hallway.
We are at the restaurant for dinner and it was a disappointment. Service was slow. Booked for 6pm arrived bang on. Restaurant had no attendant and waited 2-3 mins for someone to arrive. Strange considering we had booked for 6. Didn’t get any better. Took a while to have our orders taken and that was the theme of the evening. Mains took a while. Desert order took a while. Food average.
Steak was cooked perfectly though but the mash was luke warm and I felt it was a mixture of instant mash could be wrong. The onion rings are the store bought supermarket ones. For $34 I’d prefer real homemade onion rings in batter or crumbed. Fish and chips was great though! Fish was delicious side salad wasn’t great as it needed washing and tomatoes were old cuts.
Needs significant work on service and improvement on the menu.
Y.
Amazing experience and a very comfortable stay. We had asked for a room with a view on the top floor and was blown away as they matched our expectation. Absolutely stunning views of the majestic Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. Also, the viewing balcony of the hotel offers some really spectacular views wherein one can relax and enjoy the million dollar scenery with a glass of wine or two. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good service and housekeeping. Highly recommended!
M.
Very comfortable and clean. Easily accessible on the Fernhill bus when you venture down to the shops and restaurants. Magnificent views of the lake - so serene. Restaurant food is delicious and service is great. A wonderful facility. Admin and cleaning staff do a fabulous job, always friendly and helpful.
R.
Stayed here for a work function. Amazing views. Rooms were clean but a little outdated. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was always really nice but the powdered eggs at breakfast were awful, especially when your chasing the protein fix to start the day
J.
A gift from my children - the location is a little removed from town but the views were spectacular. The room was well appointed and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's a little dated, but the service and views made it completely acceptable.
p.
nice location 5 min drive from cbd.Good breakfast although could do with some variation day to day for guests staying longer.. lovely lake view from room. Good facilities including gym sauna nice restaurant. Enjoyed all except Parking which was a nightmare with not enough spaces for guests. Free parking but First come first served as per reception. Don't expect to get spaces when you come back after an evening meal. Happened 2 nights in a row. They need to get their act together on this one instead of calling guests out of bed at 10 pm to move their cars/ roam around a July winter night looking for off street parking. V annoying. Apart from that enjoyed the stay.
M.
Nice building inside and out. Convenient drying room for ski gear. Amazing views over the lake!
A little disappointed with dated bathroom and dirtyness there. Mould growing around.Otherwise clean rooms.
Dining room lovely. Great views of the lake! Breakfast limited and expensive. 1 choice( toast i had to ask for) of gluten free on continental option apart from fruit.
Service friendly though. Convenient bus service to door and to town. Quiet rooms. Overall positive experience.
J.
The room experienced was great. It was clean and tidy. We are given bath robes and slippers. Some few details that needs to improved. Check in experienced was not good, we got a text message that our room was ready by 12:30pm. We got to the hotel around 1:45pm. Only to found out its not yet ready we end up waiting at the hotel bar for almost 45 mins..though we are given complementary drink for waiting. Still, in my opinion they should not text if its is not ready because we made changes of our plans due to the delayed of our room checked in.
J.
I cannot believe how wonderfully awesome this resort is. We'll be coming back for sure! Big shout out to Melissa and Gabi in the restaurant, they are so lovely!
M.
I visited with my husband and parents for a week and loved every minute of our stay here. Queenstown has so much to do and see, but the minute you get a look at the lake view, you won't want to do anything but stare out the window with a favorite beverage. The rooms are large, with extremely comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are spacious and well-equipped.
We spent our anniversary dinner at the Mercure restaurant and it was amazing. We didn't tell the staff we were celebrating and we still received exceptional service and delicious food. We also took full advantage of the lounge with their drinks and snacks.
The pool, hot tubs, and sauna are also not to be missed! Even though it was cool during our visit, we thoroughly enjoyed these amenities. The dry sauna is the best we've been in since we visited Finland!
Last, but certainly not least, the staff at Mercure are phenomenal. Right from the beginning with Tia (or Tina) who checked us in, to Ajay who helped us book a tour to Milford Sound (and then followed up with us to make sure we enjoyed it!), to another young gentleman who helped us multiple times with random questions, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I will say, I believe Kiwis to be the friendliest people on the planet, and all the staff at Mercure fully embody this.
I will 100% come back and recommend this property to everyone.
L.
Deserves ten stars out of five. The best service we have ever experienced. We stayed here for six nights for our wedding and the start of our honeymoon. Out room had a beautiful view of the lake, modernly furnished and cleaned daily. The staff were very kind and accommodating. We ate at the South Eatery during our stay here which had excellent food. An absolutely spectacular stay overall.
R.
Excellent hotel with lake view up on the hill. About 15 minutes walk from city centre but well worth it to book a room. Photos are taken from the room overlooking the lake and the mountains in the morning. Staff exceedingly friendly. Would recommend to anyone and book for myself in a heartbeat again. It appears you got it right. Thanks.
A.
We stayed at your resort for 4 days in september. Overall it was a decent experience, the resort is located about 20 mins walk from the town center, but we had a car so no issues, there is also a bus which picks you up from the resort to take to the town center but you will have to pay for the ticket. The hotel room itself was good, but it did show signs of ageing. The buffet breakfast was the same on all 4 days, no change in the menu! This could have been better. The staff was friendly. Our room was cleaned everyday, though not to the high standards i have seen elsewhere. Will i come back to stay? Maybe i will.
L.
We stayed here during our family ski holiday and were very happy with everything. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was great and comfy and clean with an awesome view. Kids loved the little kids mystery pack. Location was great and not too far from town. Only downside is carparking gets full quickly and dining menu at the restaurant is a hit and miss and could be better especially at their prices.
C.
Amazing views but ageing hotel that tries its best.
Great place to stay if you:
- Love hotels that sigh as you wander around.
- Appreciate architecture that often gives the best views to the corridors (c’mon it is the Remarkables).
- Don’t want to venture the 2kms into town for first class food and drinks.
- Dont mind much of the Restaurant food (in our case) to be frozen not freshly made.
R.
We stayed at Mercure for 3 nights. The view from the room and restaurant was very good (we took lake view type) the taste of the food also delicious (we ordered fish & chips and menu of the day that day - mushroom risotto with additional of bacon). The ambiance of the hotel also good. The staffs nice too
E.
Stayed here for just over a week and sadly it was a very average experience. To start with the positives, the staff were lovely! Everyone is very friendly and smiley, especially restaurant staff. There is plenty of parking right outside the front door and we stayed here in peak season.
We stayed in a superior lake view room and the view really was sensational! The room itself was quite dated, especially the bathroom.
Housekeeping was appalling ☹ the rooms were not vacuumed once during our 8 day stay. Our cups and spoons never got washed or replaced either. The beds were not changed until we made a complaint about it on our 6th day there. Then a poor man from reception had to come up and change our beds for us (not his job to do). The next morning housekeeping decided to come and clean our room at 9am?! My husband was still asleep and as they walked into the room!
Breakfast restaurant was average but has a great view of the lake. As we have young kids, we had to go there every morning, however would deffinitly have gone out if we could. Food never changed and overall was nothing special.
Dinner restaurant again has the same great view, but we expected more from the hotel restaurant. Also has a beautiful large deck overlooking the lake. However, someobe should really be watering the grass there, as it was completely yellow.
Reception staff were mostly very helpful, except for the one time, on a rainy day I asked for advice of what we could do with the kids and the only option I got told about was the bird park (which didn't interest us) and both the reception lady and day time duty manager said there really wasn't anything else to do. I had to go on Google and find out there is an indoor aquatic center with kids pool and slides just 10mins away from the hotel.
Overall, just average, to be honest, we will most deffinitly be back to Queenstown and most deffinitly will NOT stay at Mercure again.
M.
Got a superior room. Could do with bath robes? Maybe a spa bath. Needs updating.
A.
Great views from room and breakfast restraunt. Lovely and very helpful staff. The great front office staff memeber, Jasper, came and made our bed pretty late at night because we found a huge dry red wine stain on our sheets from the previous occupants. There was no housekeeping available. We were extremely shocked and upset and were compensated one free breakfast for the family. Don't think that makes up for it especially since essentially we had been laying on dirty sheets. Yuck. :( The manager tried his best and apologised, but really housekeeping needs to be held accountable and the cleaning staff fired for that room. To have dirty sheets at a hotel is unacceptable. Especially since the stain was so large I'm not sure how it could have been missed. See photos. Also please pay a little more $$ and improve your TV channels.
H.
We visited at a difficult and special time when nobody visits queenstown and saw no tour buses. This place is reasonably priced considered at this location. We paid $220 and inlcuden breakfast. Was given a corner room so had a house in front of the lake.. the room is cold even with extra blankets. Life is not all about saving money so you should go to this place when you are here.
N.
The resort is located on the Fernhill and as such slightly away from the main hustle and bustle. It is about 1.3 km of walk down and up the hill in case you do not have vehicles. Lot of other motels and hotels are more conveniently located. There is ample parking space and it is free
Room with lake view had excellent view of the lake and the mountains. Don’t miss the beautiful view of the mountains at the sunset time. Rooms and bathrooms are good enough without much problems.
Breakfast is ordinary. Not sure if they can make fried and boiled eggs then why not omlette? Same set of juices and breakfast options for 3 days of our stay. As a vegetarian I had very less options. Not sure why it is called a resort. ?
Water pressure is good in the shower
A.
We stayed here on two separate stays in Queenstown. The view from the first room was better (room 306) than the second (317). The hotel angles as you move toward the higher numbered rooms to follow the terrain. The lower number lake-view rooms have an amazing view of the Remarkables and parts of town. The higher number rooms still have a good view of the lake and the southern mountains, but we were spoiled by the first views. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a little bit outside of town, and while technically walkable, there's a killer hill to climb coming back. They have regular bus service every half hour in to town for $9 NZD, or you can drive.
The hotel bar is good, and dinner is decent. The breakfast buffet is ok, but expensive for just being ok.
L.
Good hotel, staff very helpful, we had lame view room which was wonderful and all air-con. 3 stars for the following:
Bathroom in room was dated.
Breakfast was well below average, scrambled eggs were disgusting, it was more like a soup.
Nothing special in breakfast.
Restaurant dinner was average and nothing special.
Room service was extremely bad. They are suppose to change sheets once ever other day, we had the sheets changed once in a 1 week stay, and they were not changed by room service, a helpful person at reception came up to change them when we complained.
Room service didn't refresh shampoo or soup daily, and once forgot their cleaning rags on our beds.
All in all, was let down and most likely wouldn't like to come back.
I must stress, the staff were very nice and helpful at reception and restaurant. But we were not impressed by the chefs, rooms service and decor of the hotel/rooms.
To be completely honest, our room at home and bathroom were better, and when you go to a hotel you expect to go to a better place and to have professionally cooked food and great service, your not suppose to wish you were home, and that's was our feeling as a family.
N.
Stay was comfortable. Heat pump in room made temperature control very easy. However, every time we walked in, there was a bad smell in the bathroom. We noticed it distinctly every time we walked in. The room size was average but manageable. Staff were helpful. Restaurant was great. Great food, great views.
H.
Experience with the hotel hotel staff were pretty good. Quick check in and check out. Beds are always made, towels are changed daily. The distance from the hotel to the city didn't worry us. The down side was the breakfast first pretty much the same everyday, except for tomatoes and mushroom alternate. We found that quiet boring. Mind u it was tasty. The other thing, we were charged $25 not $22 ( we were quoted by the reception lady) because we did not book it before we arrive. That's just pathetic. Special mention to that guy in the restaurant ( welsh and Liverpool background) his just amazing. Talking abt customer service his pretty good. Views were spectacular. Over all was pretty good.will definitely comeback again.
i.
Good location, got a good deal on the room wasn’t anything special but did the job. Beautiful views from the front deck.
If you arrive back late Parking is a nightmare :( especially if you have all your ski gear.
O.
The room we stayed in was a good size, there was enough space to open up our suitcases and the lake views were awesome. The staff were friendly and available when we need them. I found the bedding and the pillows sub par as the sheets came off the mattress and the quilt during the night. The breakfast range was okay and decent quality.
R.
We were upgraded to a room with 2 double/queen beds as our room wasn't ready when we checked in, midday. The room was clean and comfortable.
Great views over the lake. We didn't actually make use of them, but bar and restaurant available at hotel.Bus into town stopped right in front of the hotel. Nice 20 min walk into town (downhill)
Breakfast was a buffet but was a bit of a disappointment as croissants and hash browns were very dry and overcooked.
A.
The hotel is a bit far from the town centre, but it is a quiet place. The view is amazing! Hotel little old inside. Beds are good. Bathroom wasn't very clean, found a bit of hair near the bath. Breakfast is a bit disappointing, not many fruits. But I might have had too high expectations for the breakkie.
J.
I really liked this place. It's about 1 km from the town centre (uphill). My wife loved the walk. Personally i thought we should have got a car. The exercise was good for me though. Great rooms, excellent views.
H.
Great spacious room that was well appointed. Hadn't realised that it was quite so far from the centre but we had a rental car so not too much of an issue. Friendly staff and lovely bar with good value happy hour drinks. Only real complaint is the length of time to wait for dinner. We ate 3 times at the restaurant and each time it took longer for our meal to arrive. On the last night it was an hour and we weren't ordering complicated meals and the place wasn't full.
M.
Went here after my Jetstar flight was cancelled, I was rescheduled to fly the next day, and they had to give me accommodations for the night. I had a nice two-queen bed room, with the most amazing view of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables, especially during sunrise. Food at their restaurant South Eatery was tasty, too. I didn't get to enjoy the pools or hot tubs, but they looked nice. Staff was pleasant. Only downside was that this was a far walk (30 minutes downhill) from the center of town, and there really wasn't much nearby; it was easy enough to get to and from town via bus, though.
S.
Went for Christmas day lunch. We were expecting the usual buffet, and were pleasantly surprised with the plated options. Kids had the same choices but at a very reduced price. Highly recommended and likely one of the best restaurant Christmas lunches we have had.
Friendly and attentive staff.
A.
I love the location of this hotel. The beauty of lake wakatipu all exposed briefly from my room. The heater also worked very well, although the weather temperature outside was -1 degree celcius, but I was sleeping warmly inside. But one of my concern is the breakfast menu all almost exactly the same on 3 days we stayed here, and need serving salad menu on breakfast. But overall we enjoyed our stay there and will be back for next queenstown holiday.
T.
Stayed here with friends for one evening and had a nice night in the hotel. The ammenities are clean and well maintained and the breakfast was exactly as expected, a short walk up to Fernhill Road will allow you to see the sun set which was a nice little addition regarding location for our stay. Car parking was an issue at times but mostly accommodating.
S.
Great hotel. Friendly team and very helpful. Kids eating breakfast free (with paying adults) is a brilliant idea. Because of this we didn't head to town for breakfast. Room was clean and well presented. Bathroom due for update but still nice. Overall great experience at the Mecure Queenstown Resort.
A.
We stayed at this hotel for one night while visiting Queenstown. We booked through Kayak and when we arrived we asked if they had a waterfront view and they easily accommodated us. The view was epic! The hotel was a nice walk down the hill and through the park to the main part of town. Would recommend this hotel!
K.
The staff were nice enough and the views we're beautiful, the bed was firm but comfortable and that was about as good as it got. We stayed in a "refurbished" lake view room on the 4th floor and I'm yet to see what they have refurbished. The bathroom was very tired and warn out with a shower over bath, the tiles looked filthy due to prolonged water damage. The tv had about 3 channels and the reception was very poor quality. The gym was nice with quality machines. The pool and spas were gross and run down, the pool is in need of a good clean as all the plaster is chipping off the walls and sitting in the bottom (it was winter so I can understand not up keeping the pools) we lifted a lid on a spa pool and the lid was taped together with duct tape and the pool water looked questionable. For upwards of $160 a night I think they really need to fix the place up.
K.
A fab place to stay. Our family of four were very comfortable in our hotel room, with two large double beds and a fantastic view. Great value breakfast in the morning and lovely meals at the restaurant for dinner also.
J.
Great Location. The room is clean and spacious. It fitted our family of 4 comfortably. Lovely lake view from room, friendly and helpful staffs. However the car park is generally full when I went back to the hotel every evening (during peak season)so I needed to park my car on the street.
S.
We enjoyed our experience at The Mercure and the views were incredibley stunning. The rooms were spacious and clean. The service we received was good, not especially outstanding. One disappointment was the cleanliness of the breakfast room - the windows and floor were filthy with lots of grubby marks on the windows. With such an exceptional view you would have thought that being able to see it would be a priority! Overall, a very nice stay.
T.
Driving into the hotel gives you a nice impression. We were allocated room 203 on 2nd floor and the room is spacious. The balcony was well worth the extra money. The staff are very helpful in assisting the variety of guests who come into their care. Food & service by the staff was great.
C.
The view from our lake view room was incredible. The room was comfortable, however could probably use a new lick of paint due to a lot of scuff marks around the place. It was also a little dirty, particularly in the bathroom where there was pink soap/skin scum on and around the tub. We loved the bar with its comfy couches and fireplace and the staff were efficient and friendly.
S.
Beautiful paramic views, nice and tidy rooms. Resort is immaculately clean in and out. Staff go out of their way to help you in time of need. Worth a visit, you won't be disappointed but rather surprised.
M.
Excellent stay, newly refurbished room that was incredibly comfortable, great beds and spotlessly clean. Staff at both check in and in the breakfast restaurant were friendly and engaged - couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast buffet each day was beautifully presented and well stocked. The Lake and mountain views from the Mercure Hotel top off our favourite place to be in Queenstown. Many thanks once again for a superb stay
D.
The rooms were nice but the shower was small. The breakfast was boring exactly the same everyday and no choice of eggs just scrambled. We had a couple of meals there 1 lunch 2 dinners and my burger was nice but everthing else over cooked. The staff are lovely and very helpfull.
K.
Lovely welcome on arrival and our room was very good with a beautiful view. All of the staff were most helpful and accommodating. The dinner in the main restaurant was excellent and again the service matched this.
The only negative was that our room was not serviced until after 3pm on the second day of our stay.
r.
Mediocre at best, resort is very tired.. the revamp can't come quick enough. Photos supplied through website make this place look appealing but in reality it's a lot different and not in a good way.... The staff and view are the only reason we are not giving a 1 star.
c.
The staff we're very accomodating. We checked in and checked out very fast. The room we're clean and tidy and the view from our room was spectacular. However, wasn't able to get our room type. Everything was good though and the complimentary drinks. Just low point in breakfast, not much variety. The scrambled egg was under cooked and not tasty at all.
N.
Location was unbeatable. Less than 5 mins drive to main pier, away from the all traffic, amazing panoramic views from the room. Rooms are clean, staff welcoming and hot spa tubs were a treat! Would definitely be coming back to Mercure Queenstown.
H.
recommend to get a lake view room if you can afford it. As you can see they have a small gym but with super great view. The room was clean and cosy. The one thing that you should consider about this place is that.. this place is 20mins away from the town by walk.. Please also consider that there is a steep hill.. If you have a car, it's all good.
S.
Lovely hotel. Busy and staff very helpful. Brekkie was eggscellent. Dinner, not do good. Chef needs to taste food before sending out. I sent my dinner back to kitchen for chef to eat it. Ordered something else. Even more disappointed than the first dish. The hotel needs a better menu. 2 pieces of fried chicken on a bed of 6 strands of rocket with pickled vegetables, being only white radish. About 1 tablespoon. Served with a ramecan of mayo. Did not. Look it taste good. I felt cheated with the price. Would have been better to go to KFC. Sorry guys. Need to step up. Google can help!
S.
Nicely located right next to the lake. Excellent view from room day and night both. Rooms are spacious and has very nice lobby fire place and bar tender. Just that you need hike up to the hotel from the town center. Might not go well with young kids. Overall good value for money and nice experience !!
S.
This hotel is fabulous . . the beds are comfortable. The rooms are big. The bathrooms are clean with excellent hot water. The gym has a Concept 2 PM5 Ergo with a view! The only problem I experienced was the grinding noise coming from the south side lift - incredibly annoying and spoilt an otherwise great experience.
T.
Loved our apartments - great value for money, with large selection of options for breakfast and it was delicious (a rarity), and great spa and pool facilities. However some reception staff were unfriendly and had a unhappy face, which had them be unapproachable, and made me feel uncomfortable to ask them questions and when I did, they were short with their responses - this ruined my experience of the place. Staff service is an important factor to attract tourists and have them return or give recommendations via word of mouth. Also, we found the bathroom a little small and claustrophobic.
L.
25-30 minutes walk to town. Very steep hill to return back to hotel. Car parking is NOT guaranteed in the hotel carpark, usually full in early evening. Nice views of lake but hotel looking bit dated in places. 8 dollar laundry is handy. If you expect 1st class service better exists, but ok if you like walking.
S.
Exceptional place to stay. I will return. They have great people and slick systems that make you feel at home. Very impressive.
M.
The rooms are pretty nice. The view outside if you have a lake facing room is breath taking. There is a small safe available in the closet, as well as a mini fridge, air conditioning/heater, and tv. If you have a neighbour next door, you'll probably be able to hear them if they are talking decently loud. There is a dry sauna, small gym, two hot tubs, and a pretty cool looking swimming pool. The only gripe that I have is that there is limited parking spots if there are a lot of guests. We got back late and there were no parking spots on premise or street parking. Literally had to move someone's garbage bin and squeeze in on the street. There were other guests also looking for parking as well.

Unbeatable views
From both rooms and restaurant. Hire a car and stay here, not in the town. Great for kids as there is a pool area with a nice view also - if it’s warm enough- and a family friendly restaurant with good food and service. The hotel had designed a kids activity which we appreciated
S.
It’s a tranquil hotel with just about 5 mins drive from the town overlooking Lake Wakatipu. Receptionists were very helpful in helping us make bookings for adventure activities and sightseeing. The corridor can be noisy sometimes with guests chatting outside as the room door is not sound-proof. A bit worn out overall and the telly doesn’t have much of the options other than the four local channels. Other than that, it’s a pleasure staying there!
K.
Overall, for the rate that we paid were fairly reasonable for the Lakeview room + breakfast. The room was spacious. The shower was slightly disappointing since it was a newly renovated room, the shower box should be made bigger, it was just far too small for modern hotel standard. The lobby and the bar were nice and facing the lake. But some part of the corridor and the elevator felt very old.
Sound proof of the room is not great. We have another family stayed in between my room and my friend's room, they were very loud and we got woke up early in one morning and late evening. My friend did make a complaint to the front desk and hotel staff did handle the problem immediately.
Breakfast was average, it was exactly the same every day and no variation at all. There were cogees, stir fry noodles and boiled white rice to cater Asian guests. The noodles looked like left overs from the day before, I'm guessing no one is eating it and it's been sitting in the warmer for too long. Asian usually don't eat plain boiled rice in the morning unless you have a good selection of pickles and savoury dishes. So most hotels would make an egg fried rice or some kind of savoury fried rice for guests.
There was a tall Maori or Polynesian lady host at the breakfast, she was very friendly and full of smile when she greeted us every morning. We went to the bar on Friday evening just before closing at 10.30pm. The Indian barman was not very friendly, he was more eager to cash up than offer us drinks. Definitely lacked customer service skills.
A.
service was fine. Room good size but dated. bathroom fixtures cheap (shower head falling apart) weird plastic storage place on bathroom wall but no tray for soap on sink. TV too small and TV reception pretty bad with very small range of channels to choose from. gym small but ok. breakfast range okish but beautiful view - would've been nice to have fresh bread available.
B.
The views were amazing though the apartment we were in seemed suited for business people not people on holiday / couples, It would be made more comfortable and inviting with a decent sized couch instead of single hard seats. you couldn't come back and relax after exploring the sights and very much needed mini coffee table so you could enjoy a dinner or a drink and have a place to put them.
C.
Mecure really made our honeymoon special by giving us a very generous upgrade and by leaving a lovely card and chocolates. Generally a lovely hotel.
J.
Our room had magnificent views of lake Wakatupi was very well appointed with everything we could possibly want. The staff were all very helpful & good humoured. Wonderful position for any photographers or artists to watch and record the changing face of the mountains, skies and the lake!
R.
Lovely resort in Queenstown. We satyed 3 nights and staff were really nice and helpful. As soon they found out it's our wedding anniversary they upgraded our room and left us some chocolate with lovely note!
I was so impressed by their everything they did to make our stay as best as possible.
Thanks guys, You are great!
D.
The staff in every department from the front desk, cleaners, maintenance, and restaurant all extremely helpful and friendly. We loved the view and the environment. We enjoyed the restaurant meals. Our only thought of improvement would have been to have a firmer mattress on the bed. Even with a board under the mattress it was too soft.
R.
We stayed with Mercure Queenstown for 6 nights. The room was serviced daily, was very clean, neat and tidy. Staff were exceptional and so very helpful. Dinning room and restaurant staff were also of a very high standard. Motel is set in a beautiful location and house keeping staff do a fantastic job. Staff gave us a reminder of our early morning pick up. Meals at the restaurant were amazing, exceptionally well prepared and served. They were expensive but everything in NZ in expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and as it was our wedding anniversary the day after we arrived, the motel manager advised the restaurant and they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne which was a lovely surprise. Overall we cannot recommend highly enough all of the staff at Mercure Queenstown, very professional, helpful and courteous. They are brilliant.
A.
Get a lakeview room, really awesome views. Great internet wifi. Reception staff very nice, breakfast café staff not so much. Nice outdoor hot tubs open till 10pm with views of the stars and mountains, but swimming pool is as cold as the lake, can't imagine anyone ever goes there.
J.
Just stunning view. Great secluded location far away from the city. Need to drive up the hill. BUt easy with a car. However, you do see lots of tourist buses (buses with influx of tourists at the foyer. They do need to turn over profit)
also great they recognise accor status
S.
Service at the reception was remarkable. But the breakfast and meal was Below average. Recommended considering other facilities and low prices.
J.
Has been our go-to hotel for about 6 years when visiting the South Island. However, this time we found it (rather the guest) were noisy and rude and generally the the place feels like it's competing on cost more than quality. Perhaps we were just unlucky or came at the wrong time of year.
However, the staff and wonderful, and did at least attempt to address the noise and behavior issues.
I would stay there again, but would definitely take earbuds.
M.
Room was great. Great views of the lake. confortable bed. Nice pool and hot tub area in a courtyard. Do not prepay for the dinner option. Food underwhelming. Many of the 2 course options you can order are under the 45nzd cost of the prepay. 25 nzd breakfast is a joke. Very runny scrambled eggs, flavourless sausag es. Better off going into town to a bakery or dairy f you can.
M.
Staff are wonderful. Our room was tired- stained carpet, dismal lighting in bathroom and heater not working.
Continental breakfast gives few options. Cooked breakfast ok.
Hotel car park mot well managed. Often full late at night.
T.
We checked in yesterday and the staff were friendly and helpful. Every member of the staff and ***agement went out of their way to be friendly, welcoming, and kind. The room was recently refurbished and was really lovely except for the Fiberglass shower cubicle. Thanks so much for a pleasurable stay.
g.
1. Room is comfortable.
2. TV channels are very limited.
3. Surprisingly no kids channel. What would the kids do in room for entertainment? ?
4. Room Service menu in the room had 2016 Spring menu. What is going on??
5. Food standards are definitely way below expectations. The first night I ordered fish and chips after 10.30pm forcroom service. The food arrived and the batter on the 3 pieces of fish was like biscuits and super oily. I just had the chips left behind the biscuit fish pieces. The chicken wings tastes different everyday. So as the chicken and noodles, one day its ok and one day its super salty, one day the noodle is soft and another day it was half cooked. I couldn't expect the same dish with the same taste because there is simply no consistency.
6. The overall Restaurant and room service menus are definitely not appealing at all knowing your clientele is from all around the world. Options such as Pizza, A proper Asian dish ie (Hainanese Chicken Rice, A Thai dish, Spaghetti Marinara or Aglio Olio, an Indian dish, another choice of steak, etc) will be very much appreciated.
7. On one of the nights at 3am I heard something like a possum or cat running in the ceiling. The noise was quite loud and disturbing. I woke up and hardly slept for 2 hours after that. I reported this matter to Callum at Front Office.
I.
I did not expect to be amazed as I was expecting just an average 4 star hotel but Mercure is not your average hotel at all. It took our breath away in every turn . The views from our room , from the garden swimming pool and their terrace were beyond amazing & definitely one of the most spectacular views I've ever seen. Everything exceeded our expectations , from the amenities in the room , the massive comfy beds , the room space , the location of the hotel to the friendly and lovely staff . I couldn't wait to go back to Queenstown and stay and at Mercure again. I haven't stopped talking how amazing is Mercure to my friends and my family until now .
M.
Fantastic views and a quite location. Food and service were brilliant. Had three nights here in the middle of a motorcycle tour of the South Island, it was the hardest place to leave by far
A.
Bad. Not advised of scaffolding being built outside our room for scheduled maintenance. Whilst we were shifted to an unaffected room, that's also an inconvenience when you're packing up and moving often enough whilst traveling. The hotel was shabby with WC's that didn't work properly, toilet seats that were loose and crooked, door handles not aligned or crooked, holes in the wall and peeling wall coverings. I noticed water services running across the ceiling outside a bulkhead with no sealant around the holes left in the walls. There were no toilet brushes in the wc's of both rooms we occupied.
The hotels restaurant, South Eatery, billed itself as a 5 star restaurant! Not our experience. Trainee waitress is one thing, 3 times having to leave the table to enquire from the kitchen about the menu presented. Getting the soup of the day wrong and badly pouring the wine, are all things you can gloss over as she was learning, looked and acted like it was her first day. However, when directed elsewhere and wait duty taken over by a senior staff member, only the wine pouring improved. The food wasn't bad, if a bit dry. We had Salmon & venison dishes. The entrees were soup, yet we had to ask for the appropriate cutlery. We also had to ask again for butter and a butter knife for the bread with the soup. The butter when it was supplied, was a small packet, that was used for the Mercure's Rises restaurant where the continental and cooked breakfasts were. Not what I would expect a 5 star restaurant would produce.
The continental breakfast was barely adequate and the cooked breakfast was disappointing. String bacon was undercooked, scranyeggs were over cooked. The sausages were just horrible. Why do these large hotels stock reconstituted hi cholesterol food, I won't call the sausages meat. The coffee machine was archaic and should be retired, or better models purchased. No better than instant which is what I'd expect in a 2 star hotel. The price of the continental was $NZD19:00 and $NZD25:00 for the cooked. The quality vis a vee the price left a bad taste in our mouths. If we weren't on holiday and just did not want any aggravation we would have commented. The scaffolders waking us up on our third morning was the straw that broke the back. We did complain and were accomodated, however, as previously stated, that was not the point. Our new room was no better, apart from an uninterrupted view. After 33 years in construction I often note the defects in buildings. The Mercure Queenstown have numerous in the brief sojourn I had there. The accomodation and associated costs did not reflect the hype. The one thing we came away with after our stay was disappointment and a resolve to stay in Wanaka next visit rather than the Mercure or Queenstown..
J.
Spent the last night of our two week holiday in New Zealand at the Mercure in Queenstown. Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We were made to feel most welcome and received a room upgrade which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. The bar has a relaxing feel with great views of the lake and mountains. We dined in the restaurant and found the food and service was first rate. Overall, a delightful way to spend the last night of our holiday. We will be back.
S.
The hotel is average in terms of amenities. The staff is hit or miss. Nancy at check in and Prathamesh at the lounge bar were awesome. Unfortunately the host in the restaurant lectured me about drinking MY opened bottle of wine purchased in NZ and we would have missed a pre-booked trip had we not insisted that another receptionist confirm our details with the tour company. There's nothing less attractive about a property than being made to feel like a nuisance.
K.
The view from our room was spectacular and is what made us choose to stay at your hotel again. However the room we stayed in the second time (404) needed new carpet. At times we were left complementary items (wine, desserts and water) which was a lovely touch.
A.
Rooms are a bit dated but the views can’t be beat. It’s also a bit of a walk to town. We had to take a taxi most of the time. Staff are wonderful especially the F&B & events staff. My sister had her wedding here & they were awesome.
C.
Great views. Good function. Nice and private. Guess are not going to see a bunch of tourists. Works well
A.
The staff were so friendly and helpful! The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The reason for the 7 out of 10 were: 1 point off for the limited parking, 1 point off for the spa pool being outside, and 1 point off for the standard of food. Some of the food was good, but some of it was terrible, namely the fish and chips.
M.
My sister who is visiting from San Francisco came to Queenstown for an overnight adventure. We are heartened by the friendliness of the staff, especially Bessie who is a cheerful presence in the bar and restaurant. I had a taste of the breakfast, which is reasonable. The bedroom was spacious and the mattress was divine. That means a lot. And that view in the restaurant, was priceless.
BUT the food in the restaurant needs some improvement. Our chicken wings came too long, it was bland and disappointing, especially to an American. The butternut soup though was nice.
Aside from the disappointing chicken wings, it's all good
M.
The venue was great, the views spectacular (including from the gym!) and the staff were polite and very helpful. We had an occasion where the complimentary chocolate in our room went missing one day. The staff not only replaced it but went the extra mile and offered complimentary breakfasts - awesome response! The staff also did something a little special knowing that it was our 25th wedding anniversary. It was a great few days and we highly recommend the hotel Mercure in Queenstown
M.
Staying here now and it's really nice. You can easily walk the scenic walk downhill through a park to downtown area and take number nine bus back up the hill right to the door. Bay facing rooms have beautiful views. Jacuzzi currently out of order, so it's not perfect, but the excellent food makes up for that.
K.
We had a great time at Queenstown Mecure the staff where so friendly and helpful I wouldn't change a thing, soundproofing would be great we had a few neighbors that where a bit loud at night and kids jumping around up stairs but overall had the best stay, the food was delicious at all times of the day and night even room service was great we even spoke to the chef about how great our meals have been so much in fact we didn't eat anywhere else, so good job. Excellent time and I would recommend your hotel to all my friends and family.
n.
Overall it was just ok. From the checking in process and all it was impressive. Then came the room. We stayed at room 325 and there was horrible sound which im assuming that it comes from the elevator shaft. Something seriously has to be done abt that it kept us awake all night. Then came the bfast experience the next day. Spread was ok but the service from your staff was rather sad. I asked someone to clean a table which i intended to occupy and the respond was she was not sure if there were enough people to go about doing the cleaning. I did not understood that. I mean, service towards customers came above anything else, no?
When we left the hotel doors as well with the big luggge bags all the front staff saw us but no one offered to help and by that time honestly we just wanted to leave and could not be bothered much anymore. Didn want to let that one experience deter our holiday. Oh and do have a better song playlist for the restaurant where the bfast is held the songlist was rather morbid and depressing. Try searching spotify and such for some cool songlist.
Thank you and hope to hear from u soon.
E.
Slightly outside the city centre, so you can easily hire a car and have free on site parking. Best views in town honestly. Rooms are generous size. One thing that was restrictive though, no outside food allowed, and not even allowing a microwave to reheat food. Shame on that policy.
e.
Comfortable room, good bed, nice hot shower. great breakfast selection. Great views from hotel. Some of the décor a little dated, but clean and tidy. Quite a long way from the airport - taxis are very expensive ($55 one way)
A.
I just spent 8 days staying in the Mercure Queenstown with my son for a week of snowboarding and the various other experiences available in the area. The Mercure was the ideal location. Our room was well appointed with 2 x comfy queen beds, large LCD TV, large bathroom with plenty of hot water. The restaurants, bars and general areas all added to provide us with the perfect spot to relax after a fun, active day.
The staff we all fantastic. Nothing was a problem and any request was fulfilled quickly. The food was excellent too.
For anyone planning a trip to Queenstown, summer or winter, couples, or families, the Mercure is an ideal location that will suit any guest.
Z.
We all had nice rooms with great views. Most staff were great. The guy - I think his name was Callum was super helpful when he checked in. The evening bar man was very good too. Remembered us and chatted on each visit. There was only one unhelpful lady working in the cafe/bar at lunch time, but that was all. Was second visit to stay and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you
S.
Wonderful hotel if you have a rental car (we did). It's near the top of a pretty steep hill that would get old climbing after you wrap up your adventures in Queenstown. But if you have a rental car it's a great hotel with amazing views of the lake and we'll appointed, spacious rooms. I'll definitely be back. It is reasonably priced for notoriously expensive Queenstown.
R.
Nice resort. Booked lakeside view room here, best scenic view you could think of when you get up in the morning. Staff was also good. Overall good experience.
M.
We love our room with it's stunning view of the lake! The place is clean amd the staff are very warm and accommodating!
A.
It's a 25 minute walk uphill from town centre to hotel so you need to be pretty fit so not very convenient. Local bus runs every 15 minutes $5 each way or taxi. Hotel does have a swimming pool and 2 hot tubs.
P.
Our stay was wonderful. The views from our room was amazing. The only small disappointment was that the restaurant was out of lamb on our first night dinner (to quote Vizzini from The Princess Bride 'its inconceivable' considering the number of sheep in NZ LOL smiley face)
We are already planning to go back and stay there again next year (hopefully they won't run out of lamb hahaha)
B.
Reasonble value for what we paid. Had a lake view room awesome view. Room looking tired but was clean. Disappointed in checkin and checkout staff. Both told us we didn't pay for breakfast even though we had prepaid room and breakfast. Glad I kept the online checkin. They eventually agreed we had paid.
J.
Friendly staff & amazing views of the lake but an aged hotel with some service issues.
The cleaning service is not at a good time as we return from skiing between 2-3pm and the room was being cleaned at 3pm each day. During the ski season this doesn't seem to make sense.
D.
Enjoyed the friendly service, excellent room and good food. It was nice not being in the centre of Queenstown and having views across the lake. We have stayed in this hotel many times before.
As I am vegetarian it would have been nice to have more choices on the menu.
A.
Friendly staff and the Hotel has wonderful views across the lake to the Remarkables. The bed was very comfortable and the standard room was spacious. Only criticism was that the bathroom needs an upgrade - especially the tiling.
D.
I generally like the Mecure and most Accor hotels. This one was a slight let down. Fairly nice room with a good view. Lovely bar area. The foyer, lifts and most other areas felt dated and messy with loads of people sitting around accessing wifi and calling on FaceTime/Skype while you’re having a peaceful bar drink. That made it feel a bit like a back packers. You also need a car to stay here as it’s a bit of a walk from town up hill, and parking is free but very limited so if you go out for dinner you might have trouble parking after.
G.
Hotel had excellent view of the lake. Room has huge windows overlooking the lake. The restaurant service in Southern eatery was very messy while food quality itself was very good.
J.
Experience was almost all good. However the only issue was the hotel hairdryer that emitted sparks/flames while my wife was using it - causing a full room power failure and indicating a significant and dangerous electrical malfunction. While the dryer was replaced promptly - I think the Mercure should have offered some sort of compensation / good will gesture in response, but none was offered. If I was managing the hotel I would have proactively offered something more than an apology to the customer and wouldn't have waited for the customer to request some sort of compensation. I'm interested to see if I receive any response to this review - as this will reflect on the review process itself.
T.
Pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. You can catch the local bus directly outside the resort into town (recommended as hill is steep to climb.) If you have a hire car should be fine. A huge thank you to all the staff at the Mercure, their service, professionalism and service was outstanding.
B.
Great place for a short stay, comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly.
Only downfall was not having a kitchen and the need to catch a bus into town as the walk is a bit of a mission, but otherwise, very good for a stay in Queenstown.
However, if purchasing breakfast at the hotel, this could do with improvement. Current options were not great given the price.
W.
The experience from the main lobby to the room was great. Modern furniture were found in the room (except for the black round table, which seems to be out of place). The elevators are extremely old, probably a refurbishment will be good.
The toilet in my room, 328 is very old. The bathtub was stained and the toilet bowl seat seriously needs to be replaced.
A.
We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the sunshine and drinks at the pool. The lounge food was delicious too. A short uber ride to town but that also means that it's quiet.
D.
It made my day when I was able to check in early. Outstanding value, especially if you want to ski, where the bus to Remarkables does pick ups and drop offs from this hotel. Nice pool area with heated spas, decent gym and breakfast offering.
M.
Generally adequate facilities. Breakfast options limited. Rooms ok though a bit aged. Staff friendly, helpful. No daily bottled water supplied. Parking can be difficult in evenings. Lake view rooms best. Good location, not far from town and quiet. Good option to consider to stay in.
A.
Pretty average. The hotel is looking run down and the rooms are tired and shabby, particularly the bathroom. The range of choices on offer for breakfast was pretty poor. The staff however were welcoming and friendly and offered great personal service.
S.
Great staff they made our stay relaxed and restful. Only one issue, the rooms carpets and bathroom ceilings are looking very tired and are in a need of a renovation. Also your outside cladding is looking worst for wear. It's the small things that count so if the wear and tear property issues are attended too guests will feel that they are staying in a quality establishment.
J.
Great service! When unpacking our car a staff member, that looked as if he was ready to clean up the car park, offered to help with our bags. I don't know if it was his role to help with bags or not but in his eyes it was "customer service" first, medial tasks second. Perfect in my eyes to make a customer feel welcomed. Great work!
T.
Brilliant staff. Friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Lovely 15 minute walk to centre of town and the views are just fantastic. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for families. Can be a little noisy in morning with people leaving for snowfields but overall top place to stay.
T.
Wow what a lovely stay we had here. Location is good and the shuttle bus comes to the door every half hour if you don't want to spend ages searching for car park in the centre. I was greeted with chocolate and water in my room which is always a nice touch.
B.
I stayed here with a tour group three days ago. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel itself and rooms are clean and well managed. That one star I left out of five stars is for the issue about the vending machine on the 2nd floor which didn't give me the correct change (I used a 20 dollar bill for a 3 dollar water and it only gave me 2 dollars change). When I mentioned it nicely to the front desk, the on-duty night manager (I presumed) told me outright I shouldn't have used a 20 dollar bill as the machine doesn't accept it even as I told him it does. But he eventually said he'll have it sorted out in the morning. Either they were too busy or or our group left early in the morning, because I didn't hear back from them about that. FYI, the vending machine accepts 5, 10 & 20s. I was with Alex Chou's Sky tour group in rm 107.
A.
The staff make this place! All were so friendly and professional. They made us so welcome
The views are the most incredible as well.
M.
Very good. We have stayed there with our big family group. Simu and Joshua they are very helpful with our booking. Need heated swimming pool
D.
We stayed here for 3 nights. If you prefer to stay in a hotel then this is a reasonably option. Good service and meal options. We generally returned late to the hotel and never found a parking spot so we had to park on the street sometimes away from the hotel.
A.
I stayed there for 2 nights. Everything was amazing. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. They always offered helps, which was very warming. Facilities were awesome. I definitely want to stay there again
a.
Reception was very understanding of our situation, as we had to arrive one day later. They added credit to our room account ehich we used to get dinner/dessert.our room had . Fantastic view of the lake and the rooms were very comfortable
J.
Our room was great - beautiful views. After a day's skiing I found the dining room a little chilly, and was immediately offered a warm cuddly rug! Staff were all excellent.
P.
Very good resort...clean and tidy and staff very friendly ....the bar and the buffet breakfast ambience was pretty cool...highly recommended
H.
Stayed here on our first trip to Queenstown. The place has an amazing view of Lake Wakatipu from the foyer, as the hotel is situated on a hill. The rooms were also comfortable, the continental breakfast was good and found off street parking quite easily.
J.
Although a little out of town the views certainly more than compensated and the bus service was regular and easy to use. Great food in the restaurant. The bar closes quite early on a weekend which was a little disappointing given we came back to dine and relax but could have stayed in town if we'd known it would close at 10pm. Overall lovely hotel though.
C.
dunno about hotel area. Ordered carbonara in the bar and kept smelling fishy. And wasn’t seasoned by salt at all. I don’t know the reason. The portion was ok. It was 23 $. I would recommend you just go out to town and grab some food there. 😂
B.
We enjoyed our stay at Mercure Queenstown. Beds were comfy and everyone was very welcoming. Bathrooms need an update as they are a bit tired with mould present. We had the buffet breakfast, it wasn't the best we have had but filled out tummies before a day out.
K.
We loved our stay in Queenstown! The staff were helpful, rooms were clean, and our room had an amazing lake view! Happy hour drinks at the bar were fantastic before we went out in Queenstown for dinner. We would love to stay again next time we are in town.
V.
We had a wonderful stay. This was our first visit to New Zealand and the Mercure Queenstown was a great choice for us. The view was sensational from our room. The facilities were always clean and tidy and the staff friendly. We would stay again if we return to Queenstown.
T.
The room was well appointed and comfortable. The service was great, however the restaurant meals were a little hit and miss, with the Beef Wellington pastry being undercooked/raw and the potato dish that accompanied it also being well undercooked.
Apart from that one little blemish, everything else was great.
V.
Check in fast. Staff is helpful with nice attitude. Room is clean with good lake and mountain view. In room Internet connection is good and is free for Accor member. Parking is free and available (non peak season). Buffet breakfast is free for kids.
A.
One of the best holiday resort in Queenstown. Competitive rates, friendly staff, best Lakeview dining area, very tidy and hygiene. Highly recommended.
T.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The view from the room was magnificent!! The rooms and resort were clean and well set out and the restaurant was great!
m.
The wife surprised me and booked a trip to Queenstown NZ to celebrate our 7 years Anniversary stayed in this place for 4 nights & 3 days loved every bit of it rooms with a million dollar views, food & service were great and an easy access to public transport bus stop right at the door of the resort that takes you back into town. Will definitely going back with the family and some friends for a different season experience. Definitely a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience
T.
The Mercure is not within walking distance to the towne center It's up a very steep hill. The Vista restaurant provides great food with excellent views at reasonable rates. I would like to give a shoutout to Callum who gave us the upgrade and the wait staff at Vista who were truly superb.
G.
The hotel is showing signs of aging with worn carpets and peeling paintwork. The staff also seem to be disinterested in engaging with guests. It is in a great location but be prepared for a long walk back into town with a very steep hill on the return leg.
L.
Great room, great views, great breakfast, cold swimming pool (outside ... so to be expected !)
Restaurant main meal great .... one dessert was not edible ( caramelised butter was not nice !) ... comments made to hotel staff but we were advised by the Chef that that was how it should taste ! Spoiled the family dinner .... (we all tried the butter and had similar experiences)
M.
When you want to be very close to nature i can recomend you this hotel. You will find all you want. Delicious fresh food, comfortable rooms and nice view. Good place to start visit south island.
U.
As usual the service was excellent but I was not very happy with the side room we had we already requested a change of room once as it did not have a frontal view of the lake but the second room also had similar side view of the lake. We visit the Mercure Queenstown every year and have always had excellent frontal lake view rooms so this time was a bit disappointing.
E.
Our stay was very pleasant - everyone we dealt with was friendly. The room was clean and spacious enough for us. We ordered room service and had breakfast - both meals were great!
C.
We're only here for one night. It's a bit away from town but we managed to use the facilities fully in the hotel. We went to the got tubs, (tho it wasn't hot enough), then the sauna. There's also a gym you can go to. It's pretty nice.
J.
In a group of 41 travellers, only 1/2 got a room with a view, and I was one of the unfortunate stuck at the back with no view which was disappointing, especially as I was on a five star tour!!! Room was pleasant but soundproofing was not great... Could hear people beside me as well as noise from above.
D.
Check-in was fast. Great customer service, especially the English girl( I guess from her accent) who did the check in. I called her asking many questions but she was willing to answer and help. Thank you :)
This time the menu at the restaurant was quite boring. I ordered fish and it smelled too fishy I couldn't eat it all. It might sound funny when I said, "fish was too fishy", but I mean it tasted a little bit weird. Anyway, the service at the restaurant was excellent.
m.
Staff are friendly and helpful during our stay. The spy game helped my make my son's day. He had enjoyed solving mysteries. We love the view by the restaurant in the morning.
R.
Room is very clean and comfortable. There isn't a lot of soundproofing. Could hear neighbours and people in the hall a bit. They have a nice gym overlooking the lake.
M.
Front team very friendly, however restaurant waiting times were terrible. 10 mins to get drinks menu, 15 mins later to order drink, 10 mins waiting for drink and well over an hour from ordering food to have the meal Total of 2 and a half hours to get a drink and a steak. Customers that entered 30 minutes after me were served before I was. I had planned to eat in for the 7 night stay, however did not go back.
F.
We were really impressed how friendly and helpful the staff were all the time, every day, made our stay so enjoyable. The restaurant lunch and dinner was delicious, and the hotel is very well presented - and the fantastic view of course!
I.
Hotel is a bit tired looking especially bathroom. A toilet brush would have been appreciated. Bar food was not very good, raw chicken wings.
Outside area near spa in need of renovation & spa was cold.
S.
Ok. Not great. Long walk to town. No shuttle bus. Not that competitive on pricing. Rooms are a bit dated. Though nice views
p.
The Mercure at Queenstown is a good quality resort with excellent connectivity to the city. The facilities and services at the resort are what you would expect from any other quality hotel brand. The service was professional and welcoming. Overall a satisfying stay.
T.
We ate in the hotel dining room and it was quite delicious. We ate at the restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals and wow, what a view. Big bonus for us and the way we experienced it, was the location just outside the main hub, making it really peaceful.
k.
Staff were excellent all of them very nice and helpful. upgraded me to a room with lake view with a small fee but worth it! every night was a struggle to find parking but the staff helped in finding one. thank you guys!
S.
Lovely place to stay lots of facilities to enjoy and the views are epic. So glad we choose mercure resort worth every penny
T.
The bus stopped right at the front door with transportation to the downtown area. The bus to town stops at the resort so it is an inexpensive way to pop to & from the resort. The lake-view rooms are awesome and the stars shine brightly at night in all directions.
A.
Excellent friendly staff, room's brilliant, over looking the lake 😃
R.
While the rooms were very comfortable i found the lack of a writing desk annoying as I was in town for work and needed something to work on. My room was about as far away as it could possibly be and and I had a lot of equipment to back and forward. I also found the TV reception below par as far as quality went.
J.
It was so easy, staff were welcoming and friendly, used room service which was great. the view was amazing! Room was perfect ! no complaints at all. we will be back.
D.
I was travelling with my family to NZ and stayed with Mercure for 3 nights. I felt that check in guest experience need improvement and team members are not friendly. I has stayed many hotels around the world, but Mercure doesnt impress me this time. Staff is not friendly, no greetings while facing each other, and building itself need renovation.A new look would be great.
R.
There is a very annoying issue with the bathroom/toilet door at this hotel, Mercure Queenstown. The door is made of a sliding glass, which is not fully attached to the wall. This creates two very wide gaps that impinge greatly on the privacy. And to make it even worse, there is no handle to that glass door, but a big hole.
This is absolutely not the best experience for families. If you're a couple in your honeymoon perhaps this could be more suitable, but don't go there with kids or people you do not feel okay to be exposed naked in front of.
T.
Good overall stay with my family. Front desk staff were friendly and eager to help. Room was clean but a little worn. Carpet was in need of cleaning with odd stains.
K.
Hi, the rooms were great, staff lovely. The kid's meals and adult meals were very slow to come out, also the seafood chowder with out entree was luke warm and hence not very enjoyable.
H.
Pretty fancy. Everything is very nice and has everything you could want including free wifi. Only complaint is that the gym doesn't have as many weight lifting options as I'd like.
S.
Great location and views, plentiful free parking onsite.Good restaurant and bar. Best facilities all round. Bathrooms are tiny, aged and impossible to have a shower without spraying water everywhere.
V.
Josh the manager was a delight to work with, Customer service at its best! Hotel was very clean and all the staff were friendly, would definitely stay again :-)
T.
We stayed here for a week and were met with friendly staff at reception. The walk to town is a great way to burn off the brekky calories. It's a fair walk to the town centre, but there is s shuttle bus that does laps and is quite handy.
1.
Great location and friendly staff. Sanjay the restaurant manager was extremely helpful in catering for our dietary needs and also helped us with our local sight seeing. His customer service brings us back to this hotel time and time again.
C.
Excellent staff and venue. Breakfast included and very very good. Amazing views.
V.
Comfortable clean rooms with a great view
s.
Good. The room was in need of a freshen up though. Bathroom is a bit dated. Customer service was good. Appreciated the bottles of water on the first night.
K.
Clean, tidy and has everything you need. Staff are lovely too. Would have given 5 stars if the breaky wasnt all from a can. Apart from that i really enjoyed it and would stay here again.
S.
Very nice place. Perfect accomodation for our family's 1st trip to Queenstown. The deck by the restaurant's got an amazing view 🥰🥰🥰 Staff is very helpful and nice too 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
C.
Amazing views from the restaurant and room. Helpful and friendly receptionists and a nice room
E.
Staff was very helpful, thanks to Avishek for the great service.
J.
Best hotel experience I've ever had. Clean, friendly staff. Food was great and beautiful views.
A.
Very clean, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Nice breastfast and free parking but what I did not like is they don't offer a complementary bottle of water.
T.
What great value for money. The distance to town is not excessive and transport in and out is readily accessible and affordable. I did not eat in the restaurant on my return trip and found a nice arcade nearby with a good selection of restaurants who were able to accommodate my food allergies.
T.
Was made to feel very welcome as a returning Le Accor member. Complimentary wine and treats on arrival was a lovely welcome touch, along with a personal card from the front desk. Assigned car park right outside the entrance, what more could a person ask for.
R.
Besides the view of lake and mountain we also have this gloriouse sight of garbage.
Please check the photo of our rooms table.
This is the only table for a DOUBLE room. Thanks god we got a sevond chair after asking. Othereise i would have had to stand during dinner.
Look closely at the table. What is missing?
1. A second set of knife and fork.
2. Hint: We do not want to drink out of the bottle.
I just took one star away.
We just found an alrady opened and empty pepper bag at the service.
After reading this comment management has apologized and offered some refund. Thank you for that. I also want to point out that all staff is very friendly and helpful!
R.
Enjoyed our stay at the mercure. The staff is really friendly and welcoming.Good size rooms and amazing lake views were a bonus. Thank you Mercure.
N.
Great service and fresh rooms.
A.
Nice hotel. Stunning views. Loved the outdoor spa, nice sized room.
Bathroom was a bit dated and had ceacked paint up the wall.
H.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very aged and unfortunately had a very damp/weird smell in the bathroom.
Not bad value for money though.
R.
It has awesome location. The view from our window was absolutely spectacular. The staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast was nice and had many options.
P.
My family and I spent a night at Mecure Queenstown and were really impressed, not just by the excellent facilities and location, but the hand-written welcome card and courteous call to check everything was ok with the room. These little things stick in your memory and make it more likely to want to book into the Mecure again.
A.
Very disappointing. First room dirty and run down. Second room marginally better still run down worn carpet dirty. Some staff good others didn’t have a clue. Food at main restaurant all right. Nothing was 4-5 star as charged were. We will not be back
t.
Very happy. Great staff. Room overlooked lake. WOW. Top class food and plenty of choice for breakfast. Highly recommend
A.
Great views of the lake & mountains. Friendly & helpful staff. Good facilities. Car parking is in short supply
H.
The hotel is clean and nice .. But alittle bit far from the city!! If u love to walk then it’s not abig matter !! Love the food from that hotel and beer too :)
J.
Great modern room, that was very clean. About 20 minute walk to downtown. Bar and restaurant area had beautiful views of the lake and mountains
R.
A little bit out of town with limited parking. Nice comfortable rooms. Great views. Handy bar. Great staff.
J.
Lovely place, clean, spacious & neat room. Food at the restaurant was superb. Staff were courteous & professional throughout.
D.
Another great visit very friendly welcome. Nice big rooms. Off st parking and free wifi
J.

Staff bend over backwards for u
Put u guys on par with Hilton at Cairns for us
Definitely return next time
Great work Mecure
m.
Cheap accommodation, clean and tidy with friendly staff but it's starting to look a bit tired in places in the building like the hallways but over all a great place to stay with kids and it offer a cook all you can eat breakfast on the grounds
R.
Nice place but want be going back rooms need updating
A.
Very nice accommodations. Fully furnished apartments. In walking distance to metro takes you straight into Darling harbour area.
A.
Place was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and food was nice. View from restaurant was lovely.
One criticism would be the elevators are a bit terrifying.
R.
We really appreciated the room upgrade and complimentary gondola passes, glasses of wine and the reserved guest parking. Patrick Lewis made us particularly welcome at the restaurant.
D.
Staff and room were all excellent. The only negative was that my room did not have any drawers/shelves for storage, which was puzzling considering the size of the room.
V.
Every time I am here, I admire this amazing resort. Perfect location with complimentary parking and great food.
K.
Amazing views, very good breakfast and comfortable rooms👍
J.
Friendly and Helpful staff, clean rooms and decent rates. Fantastic views from Lake front rooms
J.
Pleasant stay. Bathroom a bit tired. Meal in the restaurant was very nice and good value. Helpful, polite staff.
N.
Room spacious and nicely renovated..bathroom with bath a plus.
Dinner Dining room, meals, servers all tops and best views.
Breakfast table clearing can be improved.
A.
Very crowded, when it's not even the peak season! Breakfast in the restaurant could feel like a street eatery. It gets pretty full and overflowing. Otherwise, this is a good place.
C.
Had a very good time there. Stunning view from the room and the restaurant. Easy ride to the city or bus stops directly at the front door.
K.
Nice view from the restaurant, room and the bed is cozy and comfortable. Helpful stuff and about 3 mins drive from the city, wifi connection never failed us during the 2 night stays. Was quite a pleasant stay.
D.
Great views, excellent breakfast. Close to town although a little bit of a steep walk up a hill to get to, recommend taxi when it's cold and icy
i.
Very friendly and helpful staffs, quite big room. Not to far from city center, beautiful view from restaurant. I do enjoy my stay here.
E.
Very good staff, but hotel could use some updating for the price, room and hallway leading to it felt tired, room smelled a little musty, room lacked desk area to do work or read...all in all, I would spend a little more somewhere else for a fresher facility!
J.
Friendly staff and the room was clean. The lifts are quite old though and sounds like a moaning ship if your room is close to the lifts.
J.
Good service and complementary car park is handy. Drive into town is only a few minutes. Nice clean and relatively spacious rooms.
T.
The Mercure Resort Queenstown is a beautiful 20 minute walk away from the city centre. Most of the furniture and decor has been updated to be in line with the rest of the Mercure in the world. Unfortunately, the dinner and breakfast that we have was very boring and basic.
P.
It was a wonderful room with an incredible view of lake Wakatipu
We had a great stay. The staff were helpful and did a great job.
H.
Room are large and had great views. TV channels available were in SD and surprisingly abysmal. Limited parking lots on-site.
A.
Amazing hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The decor is elegant and the views are amazing. The hotel makes you feel at home.
W.
Facilities, services, food are all good
However, felt itchy when sleeping at night and found lots red dots on hands and legs. Looks like bite by fleas. Red dots still itchy and exists after two days
I.
Great hotel for great price, can't fault it, fantastic views
P.
Awesome hotel and an amazing lake view...I had booked it for my family for 3 nights and received a very good customer service would definitely recommend it.

J.
Rooms were clean and tidy, food was well presented and tasted great. Great view. Overall stunning experience.
J.
The hotel has a spectacular view with very friendly staff. The room with carpet sometimes has dusts and garden view room feels trapped..
A.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.your staff are excellent and the views of the lake were magic. Our only criticism was a lack of storeage for clothing.Thank you🙏
J.

This hotel will give you the best view of Lake Wakatipu. The photo I uploaded was taken just outside the Restaurant. Waking up with this view was so breath taking...
C.
Nice hotel, room I was in seem to be updated and done quite well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pretty quiet and very clean.
N.
Great lake view during my stay, staff are very friendly and helpful. Guest laundry is the best thing ever.
M.
Outstanding. The quality of service from the overseas booking process, to the Front Desk, to the downstairs Breakfast, to the Cleaners, to the Room Service could not be faulted.
R.
Stunning views. Cosy furnishings.
We were on the 2nd floor and found it rather noisy when in our room as it's close to public areas.
m.
Love the hotel. Stunning views. Service is top notch. Must come again.
F.
Staff very approachable, friendly and extremely helpful.
Food and service was excellent.
Our room was really comfortable and very clean.
C.
Satisfied with overall hotel services. From prompt check in and check out. Decent internet connection and housekeeping. Overall room and general area a bit old but clean.

H.
One of the best resorts found in queenstown.you get a wonderful view of beautiful Queenstown from rooms of this resort. they also have hot water jaccuzi pools
S.
Great views. Bit tired. No desk in room was a real pain.
k.
I didn’t stay at the hotel but the food at the restaurant was fantastic! Great service and one of the best dining views in Queenstown 👏🏾👏🏾
C.
The room was standard, clean and met our requirements. The hospitality was fantastic. Will definitely stay again.
C.
The room was excellent. We were uprated to a lake view room so the added to the over all experience. Thanks.
S.
It was beyond pleasant. The best service, friendly staff, streamlined reservation system with equally amazing reservation staff and of course the amazing restaurant manager. It was a perfect holiday.
E.
Friendly staff. The lake view from our room was stunning and impressive.
L.
The rooms are clean and comfortable with astonishing views of the mountains. But, the breakfast is something they need to work on.
B.
Its like a dream waking up viewing lake,, it got pools, spa ,sauna and gym, can't ask for more.
A.
Warm and cozy rooms, great lake views and exceptional service from all staff. Amazing place to stay and would highly recommend

The restaurant standard of food was excellent.
The pleasant manner of the staff made my visit very enjoyable.
S.

R.
The bed was very comfortable, room clean and tidy, the heat-pump was a bonus but the bathroom was tired.
S.
Very polite and friendly service always. Very clean, rooms prepared daily along with stunning views.
N.
Great view of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. We always stay here when we come to Queenstown. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Not enough parking though.
B.
A little out of town but very convenient with buses and taxis. Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Would stay there again.
S.
The room was nice with a nice lake view and the staff were helpful and friendly, but there wasn't enough car park.
C.
Very enjoyable, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The view from our room was sensational.
C.
Great rooms and a great hotel. Can be walkable to the CBD, but you're better off with a taxi. View from the room was amazing.
J.
Awesome place to stay! Beautiful pool and 2 spas. Very nice staff!! Especially the Indian man on nights!!! ✔✔✔❤
S.
The front desk staff was wonderful! Mitchell was a true highlight of our stay. He was genuine and helpful!
M.
Really well priced accommodation...Lakeview rooms have great views. Restaurant very well priced family type meals.
R.
Great views but paper-thin walls mean you will hear *everything* happening in the room next door.
P.
Good Hotel, rooms are really comfortable particularly lake view ones.
M.
Friendly staff and nice room
S.
Amazing views from our room and location was just a minute drive from cbd. Only wish there microwave in our room.
J.
Central Aircon did not work, heat pump is ok. Breakfast food is poor, cannot match the Name of Mercure.
Charges to WI-FI is not good...
C.
An excellent hotel for a great view of the lake and the mountains. Thank you to the Accor privellage for the upgrade.
C.
Great modern rooms with scenic overlook of the lake from the bar and restaurant as well.
N.
I celebrated my honeymoon in this hotel.
It is a great hotel with awesome service and amazing views.
R.
Staff are always extremely friendly however rooms are very tired especially bathrooms. My bathroom looked mouldy and smelt of strong mildew
R.
it's a short stay of one night but staff were really quick and helpful, my wife ask for a hair dyer and it come just in a few minutes,
A.
The staff were incredible. In the lobby. At the bar. In the elevator. Everyone we met was amazing :) thank you for a great experience.
L.
It was nice and clean but the bathroom was very small especially for a family. It felt like it was a really old room, especially the bathroom.
S.
Great service, I had 2 small children and bags were carried and loaded into room and into car.
N.
Price worth for the comfortable room. Breakfast is good ratio in price to qualify. Recommend to other.
A.
Nice view but the room is old and incomplete. A bit disappointed. However, the staff are helpful.
M.
Very neat and clean, nice service and staff as well. The view from the room was stunning.

Great stay and the staff was very helpful.
Thanks team
이.
It had so big rooms which means the price was reasonable and also it had nice spaces in front of the building to rest
