Loved staying in this little private hotel, almost like a wee little home away from home. Very cozy and sweet little place.
The photos don't do justice to the lovely place it is. We stayed here for our honeymoon for the first two nights and it was lovely staying.
The rooms are quite cozy and not too big like a big hotel would have, but they are comfortable like living in your own home. Also, the bathroom is quite nice. Since we got ourselves a deal/package we got the opportunity to get a beautiful set of sweets and handmade chocolates on arrival and were greeted by this really friendly, and amazing hostess Camille. She provided us with the most beautiful and amazing customer service we've had in years and haven't seen in pretty much all of New Zealand.
There's a sweet, tea and snacks station here as well in the lounge, and it's so convenient to you know just get up and make yourselves a cup of tea or have juice/soda.
There's a beautiful jacuzzi outside which is available between 8-10 pm and you can soak under the stars! It's just a beautiful concept as well and for free!
There's happy hour between 5-6 and you can have wine, and nibbles etc during this time and it's amazing. ABSOLUTELY LOVED the customer service! And Cam we'll miss you :) <3

My partner and I stayed here for two nights over the weekend and we could not fault the place. We had the most perfect weekend, the accommodation is beautifully decorated and the staff (especially Cam) go over and beyond to make you feel comfortable and well looked after. The special touches such as happy hour drinks and snacks were such a nice touch! We loved jumping in the hot tub after a long bike ride and we would come back again in a heartbeat! Thank you for giving us a lovely weekend away!

Excellent stay! Staff greeting with Pippa was amazing and the extra little things like complimentary wine and nibbles each being were great. Bed rooms were comfy and internet tv was really good. Overall a great stay and we will be back!

All of the staff here are wonderfully friendly and accommodating. The building itself is beautiful, with a fun history, bold decor and art everywhere. Our room was clean, comfortable and full of all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was delicious, too! I wish we could have stayed longer in this truly lovely accommodation.

The hotel is beautiful and luxurious decorated and you feel very pampered when you at arrival are seated in a sofa and presented with a glass of bubbles and a smile. The room we had was big and everything you need was there. The staff is helpful and friendly. We were welcomed by Saibal. We wanted to go to Milford Sound and needed an extra day in the hotel. With no problem what so ever Saibal made a new booking for the extra day and for the same price as we got the existing booking for, even though it was a lot lower than the normal.
We ended up leaving on the originally planned date and were able to cancel the new booking without charges or problems.
We’ll recommend everyone staying in Queenstown to stay here. The location is supreme and nothing bad can be said.

Great room size, nice common areas, very very helpful staff.
Breakfast is made to order and complementary. Quite scrumptious and well prepared. We enjoyed our unexpected stay there after our flight was rescheduled.

Great hotel. Gorgeous building with the highest quality of staff, decoration, comfort, food, and cleanliness. Location is really close to downtown and easy to walk to. Seemed like it could be a little tricky to find parking but I was there the night before the Queenstown marathon so I wouldn't expect that to always be the case. I'll definitely be returning on a future trip!

Can't say enough about this incredible hotel! It is like the best between an upscale hotel and a B&B. The breakfast was included and decadent. We were contacted personally by Charlotte who gave us great restaurant recommendations and greeted us with wine on arrival. The place is beautifully decorated and the bed slept very well. The hotel could not be in a better location. The view from the hot tub is great after a long hike or ski day. If ever we are back in NZ, we will be staying here again!
A.
Cute hotel with clean rooms and a very good breakfast. The staff is super friendly and we had a great time there. You'll get a welcome drink, water and candy are complementary.

What a beautiful 4 nights stay. This place is a must if you want location and exceptional quality. Steven really knows how to make you feel welcome, from the breakfast and onsite spa to the very comfortable and quiet rooms, I was incredibly impressed. By far the best accommodation I have had in Queenstown.

We were so happy with our choice. Fabulous location, delicious breakfast and impeccable service from Stephen. Make sure you have a hot tub - beautiful view of the Remarkables - absolutely spectacular at sunset and dusk. You won't regret booking here.

We were greeted by Rowan who was very cheerful and attended to all our needs, helping us decide how to spend our day based on our interests. The hotel was both homey and luxurious at the same time. We enjoyed the hot tub with great views of the town and mountains. The breakfast was delicious and the proximity to so much activity perfect for our visit.

We were pleased to have had this private hotel recommended to us and it lived up to its reputation. My room was comfortable and so was the lounge and library. Breakfast was included and there was a great choice of chef-prepared options. The staff was exceptional and provided excellent advise on things to do and where to dine.

This is an exceptionally good hotel. It is perfectly situated: within walking distance from everything in Queenstown yet in a quiet and peaceful setting. The views are striking, the rooms large and well appointed and the common spaces comfortable. The breakfasts are perfect.
What distinguishes this from other excellent hotels is the attention to detail shown by Matt and Paul, the owners. They take care of everything quietly and efficiently. The rooms are spotless, requests are handled promptly and accurately, and their recommendations are spot on. We have stayed in many fine (and not so fine) hotels around the world, and this is among the best.

The location is very convenient, a short walk from almost everything. Richard greeted us kindly at our car (there was plenty of street parking despite it being busy in Queenstown) and helped us check in. Our host Ulani was so lovely and …

We were greeted by owner Richard with a lovely glass of champagne and warm welcome. We arrived earlier than check in time and our room was ready so Rowan let us into our room. Close and convenient to everything and very quiet away from the bars and main streets. Would absolutely recommend.
G.
The place is great and the service is even better. Randheer was very helpful and attentive. We were in room 3 which had partial views of the Remarkables. The room was a bit small to fit in all the luggage byit it was clean and comfortable. My only real complain with the place is the breakfast portion - the breakfast was delicious but it wasn't enough. Another thing to note is it is on top of the hill so you will have to climb a few set of stairs (there is a ramp for stroller or wheelchair). It is very close to the gondola ride. The location is only a few mins from fergburger, the river or the town center.
V.
Excellent personal service. Pippa is an absolute asset. Couldn't have asked for more. Beautiful location. Pippa's attention to detail exceeds all expectations.
T.
The rooms are spacious. The location is excellent and the food was like home cooked. Worth the trip up in the cable car. The fire in the common areas was lit each night and it was all in all a wonderful experience I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Queenstown.
T.
Central but serene, atmospheric but extremely comfortable, this boutique hotel mixes tradition with modernity to create a welcoming environment from arrival to departure. The room was quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The help yourself to jelly beans jar by the front door was a bonus every time you went out.
T.
The Dairy provides a wonderful alternative to a major hotel chain or apartment. The property was impeccable and the staff absolutely fantastic. Inclusion of cooked breakfast a bonus as it makes for a relaxed start to the day. A big thank you to the Diary for making our stay in Queenstown so memorable.
T.
Prior to staying at The Dairy Private Hotel all the reviews I read were good. The Dairy is very central to where all the restaurants are in Queenstown but being away from the crowds very quiet. Room was very comfortable and my wife gave Richard a gold star for the Moulton Brown soap.
T.
Thank you Richard and Charlotte for the superb level of service you provided us. Breakfast is a real treat with a small buffet accompanied by an a la carte pick of your choice and made to perfection. A great experience in a beautiful hotel that really offers the personal touch.
T.
The Dairy is centrally located right in the heart of Queenstown at the foot of the Skyline Gondola. The owners are wonderful hosts and they made our stays memorable. I would not personally use the term luxury to describe the Dairy or its rooms however it's cosy and homely, and is well maintained.
T.
The location is a convenient walk into town and moments from the gondola. There is a chalkboard mounted on the wall with several options for breakfast. Plenty of choice and probably some of the breakfasts we have ever had. It's a well run family owned establishment but at NZD 100 more expensive than a nearby hotel it is pricey.
T.
I can recall Dairy Private Luxury Hotel more to a B&B than a typical hotel. Richard did a really excellent job of logging us in wither the help of a glass of bubbly and helping us make dinner and activity reservations. It's areal treat though to stay in this centrally located haven in what is a very busy small town.
T.
I would have LOVED a bathtubotherwise it was PERFECT. The location is beyond perfect. We were driving to a wedding so declined the proffered bubbly on arrival but the greeting from the ***ager was friendly and very helpful. The service is good but not what it was under the previous owners.
T.
Not a single thing Charlotte and Richard and all the staff were amazing, nothing was too much effort. There was a good selection of options and they were happy to accommodate any food allergies. We are planning to stay again for an overnight return in the next few days.
D.
The hotel was great and Paul & Matt made us feel really welcome.
I wanted a hotel close to the town as I had my 6yr old with me and didn't want to travel too far to eat at night, this place was ideal. We both loved it and will return next year
T.
Amazing experience started with a wonderful tour complemented by champagne. Wonderful breakfast, comfortable room. Staff provides everything including reservations and custom experiences.
J.
Great staff. Nice homely feel. Walked around the common areas in socks that's how comfortable you felt staying there. Would recommend.
T.
Breakfast is a real treat though some may find the need to appear at agreed times a bit restrictive. The location is very best. There is a Fire Station in the vicinity whose siren could go off at night and the lack of double glazing may make it more of a nuisance.
P.
Fantastic location right in the heart of Queenstown with amazing breakfast, excellent service, and a nice inviting vibe. One of our favorite places to stay on our New Zealand vacation.
T.
My wife and I spent a couple of nights at The Dairy and had a fabulous time. You can walk to all of the shops but miss a lot of the evening noise. At the top of the stairs of the town and it is just a short walk into the center.
J.
Unique with best view from the breakfast room. Best view also from our room. Well equipped B&B with nice decor. Excellent breakfast.
E.
Perfection from the moment I walked in! Service is exceptional, atmosphere just wonderful. Have been to so many hotels in Queenstown and this by far is my favourite!
C.
Amazing staff, delightful breakfasts, stunning views. Plenty of communal space to sit and relax. There’s no way to find fault with this place.

A.
Beautiful hotel with fantastic lounge areas, rooms, and breakfast. Easily walkable to the city center. Would definitely stay here again.
J.
Great location and breakfast. Our room could have used some fresh lampshades and a cleaning of overhead lights.
R.
Missy was awesome. Great atmosphere, loved the guest lounge with fireplace. Very handy to everything.

(Translated) It is beautiful, but if it is 70,000 yen for two nights, the price is appropriate. Water pressure and temperature of the shower are good. However, there is no replacement or cleaning of bath towels even if you stay for a long time, so you may stay at a normal hotel. It will be fun if you stay with many people. There are two showers and two toilets, so queen size x 2 and king size 1.
(Original)

(Translated) Great location, clean rooms, distinctive halls, and welcoming hotel staff, close to the perfect accommodation experience👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
