A.The Redwoods B&B is located in a quiet street, very close to the Redwoods and not far from the City centre. Our room was very attractive and spotlessly clean and opened onto a lovely garden. The owner, Vivien, took the time to find out what our interests were and gave us the best advice on activities that suited us. She was a charming hostess and served a delicious breakfast each morning.
A.Absolutely amazing stay and service. Vivien is very knowledgeable about the area. A home away from home (with added comfort). She made us feel comfortable and she even took the time to make my husband a cake for his birthday. The location is central, and just a stones throw from the redwoods. Would definitely recommend, and we will be returning on our next trip to Rotorua.
S.Highly recommend booking a room at the B&B @ The Woods. First time at a B&B and the experince was amazing.The hospitality between the guest and owner was very good cause the owner Vivian would actually make breakfast every morning and then sit and chat with the guests. The room was very nice and i loved that the room had a ceiling fan, which was good after a long walk in the sun. Also the back door opened out to a small deck with a table and chairs and a beautiful view out to the garden. Breakfast was very good
P.We stayed in August - when over for a weekend of mountain biking. The location is an absolute winner for anyone wanting to ride. Trails are all easily accessed from the door (be it via Long Mile or the carpark on Blue Lake Road).
Vivien was a great hostess - friendly, attentive, but also gave us enough space to chill and enjoy our stay. She was able to point us to good places to get dinner - and did poached eggs for breakfast just as I like them!
Definitely recommended - and we'll look forward to staying again when we next head over that way!!

Awesome place to stay, you can't get any closer to spectacular Red Woods.
The room was spacious and warm with an excellent ensuite.
Our host Vivian was a delight, offering a wealth of local knowledge and tips on where to go. A communal breakfast with other guests supplied both great conversations as well as a variety of food choices to sort all appetites.
Thank you Vivian for a wonderful stay.
S.Staying at B&B @ The Redwoods made our overall holiday just fabulous. The rooms were comfortable, clean and relaxing. We found the rooms nice and toasty after we came home in the evenings, thanks to Vivian who turned on the heaters for us every night we were there. Vivian was a great hostess, she joined for breakfasts and told us all about Rotorua, where the best places were to go for sightseeing, eating, relaxing and entertainment. Vivian would even book any places we wanted to go and also found discounts for us to use while there. We could not recommend her establishment enough. Thanks for helping to add to our great holiday Vivian.
k.LOVED our stay with Vivien!!! Such a beautiful soul inside and out which literally made our stay <3 So accommodating it really felt like a home away from home with delicious breakfast every morning :) Vivien also went the extra mile with our 2 year old son and bought toys out for him to play with! highly recommend thank you again Vivien!
If I were to be picky- the only feedback would be to have some hallway heating/ more heating in the downstairs areas BUT loved how warm and cozy the room was with heaters in there! xx
C.Vivien was a very happy, warm, accommodating and welcoming host. Our room was perfect for our needs and so close to The Redwoods Tree Walk. Lovely breakfast each morning and the communal lounge was very cozy 😊
M.As a returning guest, I reckon that's testament in itself to how fabulous a host Vivien truly is. From her local knowledge on tourist attractions to suitable eateries, and her full cooked breakfasts are perfect to set you up for any days excursions; a wonderful host who is accommodating to a tee! Sizeable and comfortable facilities just put the icing on the cake!

c.Five stars plus for Vivian. My partner and I can't speak highly enough of her excellent hospitality. A very friendly, bubbly hostess. who makes you feel welcome and at ease. I'd go on and say that Vivian should be a tutor for NZ hospitality, they seem to need good role models in this field who can pave the way to raising the bar for excellent hospitality in NZ.
Vivian provided us with a good comfortable, clean room, even had nice robes and slippers in the wardrobe.
We were served personally with a full continental breakfast. Even our own eggs from our farm she happily cooked for us.
A Great location and a big thank you Vivian... we will visit again.
M.The Redwoods accomodation was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The highlight of our trip to Rotorua was meeting Vivien. What a wonderful hostess! She takes hospitality to a whole new level. We were treated to amazing breakfasts which she took a lot of care of prepare. Everything is well thought out and we’ll presented.
Vivien saved us time waiting at the Redwoods Treetop walk by giving us the VIP treatment - and tickets! This was much appreciated.

G.This was our 2nd stay at Vivien's delightful B & B. Vivien is a wonderful host, it was like "coming home" being greeted with a delicious cake & tea. The accommodation is very comfortable with attention to every detail, breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit cereal etc & an offer for a full breakfast. I highly recommend this convenient & most comfortable quiet B & B.
J.Vivian was such an excellent hostess, Our holiday started with us jumping the queue as VIP at the The Redwoods tree walk. Vivian gave us directions and recommendations on places to visit, Yes we also enjoyed our amazing breakfast and Vivian getting to know us. Beautiful gardens, tranquil settings. We will be back!

V.My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, clean rooms. Breakfast was scrummy and Vivien was a great host. When we arrived we had nibbles and drinks which was very welcoming. Would definitely recommend staying there.

B.Vivien is magic.Best described as being the icing on a cake. The accommodation is very near to the The Redwoods. It is clean and well appointed. I was down for the Tawarewa 50km Ultra run. Vivien accommodated the early breakfast requirement and was very supportive of my broken state afterwards. Excellent local knowledge of what to do was given to my partner

P.We had a comfortable stay at B&B redwoods. We stayed there for 2 nights in the room downstairs. Vivian is such great company and we enjoyed chatting with her during our breakfast. She is very friendly and makes you feel so welcome. Definitely recommend staying over there if you are visiting Rotorua. The location is very central and close to Redwood walk and city centre. We even got special entry to the treetop walks once we gave her reference at the counter. Only thing I missed was a microwave and a rubbish bin in the room.
E.Vivien was a very attentive host, and keen to share her knowledge of the area. She provided a lovely breakfast spread, as well as a freshly baked cake for afternoon tea. She also had discounts to popular destinations, such as the hotpools. We were very impressed with the room and facilities, and would absolutely come back next time!
H.Nice room and separate lounge area for guests with beverages. Host was lovely and informative about the area for activities and food. On arrival she made us a hot drink and a piece of cake to go with it. Very helpful.

I travel quite a bit, and this has by far been one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Vivien is much more than a B&B Host, she’s a travel guide.
We were late coming in, and Vivien was so nice to wait for us. She checked us in and gave us many suggestions of places to eat that evening and even things to do later that night. We took her up on the offer and were very happily pleased with the choice for dinner. Breakfast was served every morning that we stayed there (4 nights). She gave many options, but we are pretty easy going people so just got eggs, bacon, and toast. I did like that she added kiwi and grapes for breakfast each day as well. During breakfast, she talks about what we had planned for the day (not much since it was wet and raining). She gave us a ton of suggestions for many places we had looked at. She helped us plan our day, and even got us discounts. Anything where you needed to call and make a reservation, she was able to do that for us as well. Vivien was amazing.
Room – Room was nice and super clean. Bathroom was clean as well. Room didn’t have Central air, but has a space heater since it was a bit cold outside. It warmed up the room very quickly and we were not cold at all.
There is also reserved parking, 1 spot per room.
Overall I really enjoyed our stay here. When I come back to Rotorua, I will be staying here and will recommend this place to everyone who visits.
A.We stayed here twice. Vivien the owner is great. We felt very comfortable and welcome. A great breakfast too. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and a great lounge and dining area. Rooms also get pre-warned in winter! Great service, thanks Vivien.

A.Vivien was an amazing host when me and my wife was staying there. The place was kept clean and we were well fed. Highly recommended place plus a bonus of having Redwoods within walking distance. This is the closest place to Redwoods.
