R.Popped in tonight for dinner with the family, based in previous reviews on Google. Finding a spot for dinner on a Monday night was a bit tricky so this sounded great. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was great, lovely fresh ingredients and everything was homemade. Kids ate well and there was a nice variety of food on the menu. Would absolutely recommend for families or groups looking for a friendly atmosphere in Rotorua.
M.Had a two night stay here with my partner. Room was very nice, tidy and had AC. Spa was nice, slept very well. A special mention of the Brook bar and bistro, fabulous food, great service. Took Keith's advice of a wine paring with my dinner. Fabulous!

c.The room was modern and a king bed made it very appealing. Plus we got a great deal to have the private spa. We liked the location. We walked to the Gondola, rabbit golf and Heritage Farm. Otherwise it’s all driving but we expected that.
The disappointment was cleanliness of the room and the pool area. The room lacked a deep clean, we found things under the bed and the skirtings/edges hadn’t been touched in a while. The pool area needed a bit of TLC, including blowing away the leaves, and it’s small so not suitable for many children. Pool towels were a nice touch. The games room was gloomy and also in need of a clean.
J.Easy accommodation location and reasonable facilities, good price @ $189 per night for 2 adults and 2 children. We booked 1hr before arrival and they easily and happily accommodated us and got our room ready and turned the heater on. Appreciate it and thank you
S.Braeside Rotorua has excellent facilities including two spas, a pool, mini golf, games room, high speed wifi, restaurant, laundry, playground, and so forth.
Karen on the front desk is amazing. Karen provided excellent service and a smooth check in.
There was one issue during our stay. The cleaning team forgot to service our room even though we were out during the hours of 9.30-11.30am and midday till 3pm.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
A.We love to stay here as a couple when we get down this way. Karen is so welcoming and friendly. The kids first time to stay here and they love all the things to here on the property Badminton, mini golf, trampoline, mini playground, spa, heated pool, Restaurant on site etc
J.Great place to stay with the kids. Lots to do. Staff are awesome. When our van wouldn't start, one staff member lent us her car to go and buy a new battery. Life saver. Highly recommend staying here.

R.Comfortable and clean. Host was friendly and welcoming. Our shower didn't drain fast enough and water seeped across the tile floor. Otherwise good value for money and within walking distance to Skyline, 3D art and mini gold etc.
D.I went there with my girlfriend for a holiday and we both agreed that it was a great place. It was cheap, yet still well looked after. The reception lady was nice and explained everything well. I knew, if we needed to, we could go ask questions and she would happily answer them. It's in a good location as well. If you're looking for stuff to do close by I suggest the rabbit mini golf. I know if we go to rotorua again, I will be staying here.

f.Our family of 4 stayed for a weekend visit to friends. Lovely staff & housekeeping, spacious clean unit, we enjoyed the pool & spa too and it was located in a spot close to all the attractions. Definitely recommend this place.
F.Should be called hot tub hotel as every room almost has a hot tub and hotel has 2 public tubs and pool. The nature areas and trout River is cool and we saw some trout ourselves. Nice rooms and beds and sheets. House keeping is really good I would recommend this hotel to all. Funny at busy times in the evening all you can hear is everyone's hot tubs humming away!
B.Looks are deceiving with this motel.
Our room was very clean and tidy with the benefit of our own spa pool.
The motel has it's own hot pool and outdoor spa & swimming pool all lovely. Didn't have the opportunity to use the other activities but there is something if you are a family too.
While we didn't use the restaurant we did order in room breakfast and it was value for money.
Gondola is right across the main road do a great spot.
We will definitely stay here again when down in Rotorua.

m.Clearly an older establishment this however is still worth recommending. It is well appointed with TV in lounge and bedroom, a well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat. The bed is comfortable and it is nice and peaceful for a good nights sleep. Best of all however is the private courtyard spa pool- truly superb

The room we stayed in was great. It had our own personal spa with a view of a nice flowing stream. Everything we needed was provided and if we had any issues (which we didn't) the staff wouldn't hesitate to help. There was a free mini golf course, large pool, badminton and a reasonably sized playground with a springless trampoline for the kids. There was an onsite restaurant that required you to make reservations however It was still close to enough places (restaurants, attractions etc) that if you had no transport finding an alternative wasn't a big deal.
C.Lovely, secluded place to stay. Natural stream flows through, spa on the verandah, very relaxing atmosphere, lovely clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Games area available as well. Loved it.
T.The one bedroom apartment was spacious and clean. Late check-in was possible after a quick phone call.
Location is perfect for when travelling from Auckland as its on the north side of the town. Its also so close to many of Rotoruas key attractions.
There is a nice kids playground outside with a springfree trampoline!
A.I wish I could give this place 10 stars, we are currently here for 4 nights on our honeymoon and we have been waited on hand and foot by the most amazing friendly staff. The food is to die for and all the facilities are great, no complaints at all. I will never stay anywhere else in Rotorua, this place is perfect 💖💖💖
c.Nice and handy to 3D Art, gondola, heritage farm etc. Restaurant on site too so Andrew bonus. Lots of sky channels if you want to wind down at night. Clean motel. Cheerful host.
E.What a great venue, location and staff. Wicked adjoining rooms with plenty of space, ensuite and kitchenette in both and an outdoor / covered in spa pool. Thank you again for a wicked stay!

N.The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, just a walking distance from Zorb or the Luge. Plenty of activities inside the hotel too - a voleyball/badminton court, a (pretty small but still fun) swimming pool, a spa and even a minigolf. The rooms are great - aircon, Sky everywhere, plus really well-equipped kitchens. The on-site restaurant The Brook is a great place to have dinner, Mary-Ann is a fantastic chef. So why only three stars? First, because of the beds. What use are all the facilities in the world if you can't get a decent night's sleep? Aside from the beds being squeaky, the mattresses seem to offer almost no support - you just fall through, not in a comfortable sense. I ended up removing the mattress off the base and placing it on the floor to get at least some back support (the bed base is divan style). Second, cleaning standards. The room appeared clean, but there were pretty big cobwebs in the corner in a pretty visible place on the floor, which begged the question - just how thoroughly has the room been vacuumed. Which is a shame because it could've been a really amazing stay.
A.(Room booked: suit with queen bed in 1 room, 2 singles in the other) The Room was clean, well laid out, and spacious. The grounds, well maintained, clean, small playground for our child, and a pool (which we did not partake).
Tira, the office staff member was very pleasant and knowledgable of the area and helped greatly in finding accomodation elsewhere when we decided to stay in the area another 2 nights (sadly "no room at the inn" at Best Western on such short notice, which is testament to their great service and facilities.
C.We used the Brook restaurant to celebrate dads birthday - they put our table of 18 in their conference room just off the restaurant, was perfect with 8 kids running around between eating. Food was amazing and arrived quickly. Kids loved the playground. Meals and drinks where good value for money.
T.My wife and I always stay here when we come to Rotorua It's close to town It's quiet, clean, we get a spa unit there's a restaurant on site and they supply breakfasts. There's a mini golf, a swimming pool and they are right opposite one of Rotorua's biggest attractions, the Stratosphere Gondola Restaurant buffet, luge rides, walking tracks and café. 10/10 recommended 👌
A.It's well worth the money to stay there. There's a lot of things to do in one place. Like mini golf, playground for the kids, pool for everyone and a little walk track beside the stream and the rooms are very comfortable and cosy especially when you have your own spa pool in your place you stay in 👍👍👍💯❤
J.From the moment we checked in, we felt at home. Parking was VERY convenient . . . which we greatly appreciated. Our two bedroom unit was very comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed for our short stay. The beds were VERY comfy! Having the creek in our backyard was wonderful and soothing! We enjoyed the ducks. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
n.Great spot, walking distance to skyline gondola is awesome. Good facilities, pool, hot tub, kids playground. Didn't get to try restaurant but plan to next time as the food looks amazing.
J.Beautiful property. The rooms aren't gorgeous but very functional and spacious. I slept well and really enjoyed the private outdoor patio. The beds were clean but other fixtures were very, very dusty. Kind staff. I would stay again.
A.Absolutely wonderful! Room is nice and clean, staff are lovely and no complaints about the amenities. The rooms have heaters and electric blankets so are nice and warm. Excellent tea and coffee selection and helpful toiletries available. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family!!
J.I stayed in a lovely cottage with a balcony overlooking the trout steam and a spa pool on the balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Room service meals were fabulous, except the bacon used at breakfast was a little hard. Service was always prompt, professional and friendly
O.Stayed here with my family from Sunday and left yesterday, it's a tidy place and the staff seemed friendly on the couple of encounters I had with them, the little walk which leads to the games room is a good, quick walk, would happily stay here again

A.Rooms are big and clean. Best was couldn't smell sulphur near the hotel location.Staff was very friendly and informative. Location is 2 minutes walk from sky line, rainbow national park. For all groceries we could go to countdown it's Woolworths of NZ, Fast-food joints in close proximity and walkable distance.

J.Excellent value here, be sure to check you have picked a room with your own private spa if you want a luxurious soak, although they do have another inside and outside one for all guest use. Beds very comfortable and a tranquil environment. The service we received was wonderful. Did not get a chance to use the restaurant, so can't comment on that. We will be back.

D.We found this a lovely pet friendly place with very friendly staff. It has a nice trout pool to walk around and an outdoor heated pool and spa plus we had a spa bath on our patio too. The restaurant was excellent - lovely food in a cosy environment with a fireplace and super friendly staff. Location is opposite the gondolas. You could hear the traffic at night but then we live in the country and are just not used to any noise at night.
G.What a delightful stay! We had an executive spa room which had a useful kitchenette, 50 Sky channels, a spa bath and an awesome high pressure shower. There was a pristine stream out back where we spotted 6 Rainbow trout and the surroundings were very quiet. Would happily recommend it to others :)
K.it's not a 5 star by any means but the 3 bedroom unit with outdoor spa bath is more than comfortable for the family with 2 toilets 2 showers, good sized fridge/freezer, spacious kitchen. Great little restaurant there!!!! Must try! Lovely and cozy with attentive staff. Right across the road from the skyline AND bunny minnie golf. Bunnies? YES live hopping bunnies - you gotta see it!
So this is def a great place to stay, kids enjoy it and parents can even seperate kids with the bedrooms... :) Staff are accommodating. Try this spot and see for yourself.

B.Loved this quaint little place. Beautiful little stream behind our unit with the clearest water I have ever seen, even saw trout swimming through. Very close to loads of activities, food venues, supermarket. Receptionist Karen very helpful and that's what makes a great Motel! Would definitely return.
W.Very comfortable room with a private spa and Creek running behind the room with lush greenery. Unfortunately the housekeeping was unsatisfactory. Our bed was not made completely as the flat sheet was just bunched up under the covers. As we entered our room there was some trash left on the floor (in plain sight) that must have fallen out as she emptied the trash can. This was after one night's stay. Check in staff was exceptionally pleasant and very helpful. Different staff member on check out was just the opposite, very abrupt and gruff.

l.Nice rooms, internet, bathrooms and kitchen ware. Restaurant is a bit outdated and the menu is boring but overall place is great and would stay again.
A.The motel units are spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. I had to stay here for about 3 weeks after my house was flooded, and it was peaceful and comfortable. A bonus is the delicious food at the Brook bistro onsite. It is a short walk to the Skyline Luge & Fairy Springs & an easy 10 minute drive into the city, but there is a trout stream running through the grounds and you can watch rabbits & sheep grazing through many of the units' kitchen windows - feels almost rural.
C.I stayed at the Best Western Braeside in Rotorua for 3 nights over the long weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, although the location was not right in town I actually preferred that. It was quiet, safe and secure. Staff were exceptional, very friendly and welcoming and the rooms / decor was clean and gorgeous. The Best Western Braeside has great facilities and I found it to be lot more modern then other accomodation in and around Rotorua. I will be back to stay for sure and will recommend to anyone looking to travel to Rotorua it is great value for money!

Onsite minigolf, playground and pool was fun for the kids.
We stayed in the two level suite, which was very spacious, warm and modern and still cost less than the average hotel room.
The rural outlook is also lovely and a very central location, close to activities and restaurants.

L.Its a good place to stay. Its within walking distance to rainbow springs and the gondolas. It would be about 10 mins drive to town. Very quiet area away from the sulphur so you dont really smell it my only problem with the place was it wasnt soundproof as you could hear people in the next room especially if they arrive late at night. Aside from that very friendly hosts and made you feel very welcome.
R.Lovely motel much better than I was expecting. Bedroom, lounge and dining room and kitchen, toilet with shower, and a hot tub (didn't use it but would have if we had been staying longer than a single night). Everything clean and convenient for travel to the city centre (by car).
f.One of my favourite places to stay in Rotorua. This hotel has a really quiet location, approx 10 minutes drive into central Rotorua.
There is an on-sight restaurant with great room service option, tasty meals and breakfast option for in room dining.

T.My room at this motel incorporated the best use of space that I've ever seen. The location is just across the road from a few main attractions and the staff were very helpful. The facility does have a very good restaurant for evening meals only and will deliver breakfasts to your room.

H.It's a decent hotel close to the city and a good kitchenette attached. There is no view as such to any of the rooms but good staff and a laundromat which is much required if you are travelling for a longer duration.
p.Braeside Rotorua has become our home away from home. Staff are friendly and helpful and the facility has all the amenities we require. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the prices within our budget. We have a small dog Paddy and he is welcomed as well.
B.Nice clean hotel with excellent customer service close to a lot of attractions and activities however the only issue we had was with the spa yes we had our own spa but it wasn’t fully private as our neighbors were able to see us from the other side. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay ☺️

T.Staff are friendly. 'executive suite' isn't super flash but has a spa bath outside. Main bed is in a wall unit & folds down. Beds aren't too bad.to sleep in. Selection of teas & coffee( instant & plunger coffee)
P.We love this motel. It is immaculate and they allowed us to bring our fur baby as well. Our fur baby has proven by vets to be free of fleas and she is child friendly too!
J.The Brook is a separate restaurant from the motel. The menu is compact but chef Maryanne creates wonderful cuisine from scratch.the portion size is also generous. We had the pork belly and the duck. Just delicious

T.Location, location right opposite skyline gondolas and Rainbow Springs. Location just off main highway good location. The lady in the reception was absolutely lovely. The trout stream was neat. For those who don't enjoy the sulphur smell of Rotorua the motel is close to the Gondolas and away from the nauseating stench.

T.We try to get there once a year and as per usual we were not let down. Short drive into town. We chose Braeside for its location as it is very handy to town,all amenities and holiday attractions. There is a grocery store up the road. The shower was powerful and a pleasure to use.

M.Cosy, a little dated in terms of the building. Clean, tidy, and quite quaint. Would recommend. The cleaning staff like to tell across the forecourt at each other, which is irritating as we had a sleeping child nearby.
T.Location was just across Rotorua Gondola and Rainbow Springs. You are near enough downtown Rotorua to drive to some great shopping/restaurants in a hurry, but far enough that the sulfur smell isn't detectable. Lovely service and look forward to staying their again next time I am visiting the Luge.

Park at your door, eat gourmet foot in the small restaurant, enjoy a "studio apartment room" all for a reasonable price. This family-owned and managed property is a "sleeper" just outside Rotorua 2km but well worth seeking out, staying in, and driving to the sights.
P.Quiet location out of town. Clean and comfortable. Serviced room (cleaned daily) friendly staff. Attentive very quickly when I had a problem with the satellite tv.

R.Second time staying here, and amazing each time. Great friendly staff and clean, cosy, comfy and quiet rooms. The room had a private spa, along with a very nice heated pool, and spa outside. Trampoline and little playground along with the minigolf, table tennis and nice bush setting are very nice. We remember seeing a couple of trout in the crystal clear stream too. The location is just across from skyline/the luge which is cool. Thanks for a great stay :).... Highly recommended.
