Nice camp ground with good facilities. Lots to do around Rotorua and not too far out of town. Only reason I’ve given this 3 stars is purely due to the fact that quiet time is strictly enforced at 10PM. Even though the website says 10:30. We turned our music off just before 10 but any form of talking or laughing saw a security guard come past to ask for quiet, followed by a man with a clipboard in the morning. Not a place to go for a group of adults who would like to stay up after 10 and chat…..not party, just chat. We stayed in a different top 10 over Christmas and had no issues whatsoever. Won’t be returning to this Top 10.

Had a great time staying here, lots for the kids to do, plenty of spots and really well kept amenities. Depending on where your spot is will be a factor in your comfort if its stonking hot though. We were up the top with minimal shade, just happened to be a heat wave and it was scorching hot in the tent. Obviously not the parks fault, just something to consider. Busy over new years so you need to get in early. Lots of walking, mountain biking tracks on offer, lakes galore and the redwoods close by. They are continually improving the place too, such as more toilets and showers and better fridges etc. Well worth a look and recommended.

Had a lovely stay @ Top 10 Blue Lakes, setting picturesque with motel rooms looking over the lake. We enjoyed the 5.5 loop bush walk around the lake. Our accommodation was very clean & comfortable & staff friendly.The park an easy drive to cbd & loads of activities to choose from or relaxing in the Polynesian pools."Capers" in town was a good place to go for brunch/lunch.

Lovely , peaceful retreat , Grab an especial pie or sausage roll. Get an Autograph , or selfie from the Manageress, She is a local media celebrity . Well worth a stay .

Thoroughly impressed. Giant chess was a highlight. And the blue lake right across the road, of course. Looking forward to the new mtb shuttle pickup on this side of the hill. Will be back for sure!

Great location right on the lake. Good area for walking and cycling. Peaceful scenery. Site is clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This has always been a lovely park & revisiting again after many years it does not disappoint. Our cosy Jaeco ensuite cabin is perfect for our 4 night stay.

Spent a few nights here with my 4 girls and it was idyllic. Location couldn't be more perfect, campsite was massive with loads of room, staff were super friendly and helpful and my girls thought the facilities were the cleanest and best they've ever seen. 'Even music in the bathrooms'. We will definitely be back.

Love this spot. My favourite place to stay when biking in rotorua. Not very far from the new forest hub and right across fro the blue lake which is epic for swimming in after a long day in the saddle. Normally camping so not much experience with the units. But facilities are on point and the staff are great. Dogs are welcome as an area is set aside for people camping with them. Normally camp in the dog area even if i havent got one because it closer to the lake and dogs are cool.

Just spent a lovely weekend at blue lake top 10 we usually tent there in summer but decided to hire a cabin this time since its winter. So impressed from check in with the friendly helpful young man..i commented to my fellow travelers that he must have done the kiwi host super course😁 he continued to impress throughout the weekend making a huge effort to pump up bike tyres for us. The cleanliness of the cabin and other facilities was first rate especially liked the fresh white sheets and comfy beds And mustn't forget the convenience when we needed to have a late checkout ..just topped off a great weekend for us will definitely be back and may have to leave the tent at home🤣

We had lots of fun, and the price was exactly what we needed.

Such a great place! We visited friends here every day over Easter weekend. The holiday park is huge and really well set up. Would love to stay here ourselves one day.

We had a lovely stay on one of thea sites las night, it was nice & peaceful. The staff were so nice wen i booked in, very friendly, happy & helpful, my friend an i even had to swap sites 3 times for certain reasons an they didnt let that worry them, they jus done it happily. The security man on that afternoon/evening was really cool too 😁. We will b back 😁.

We stayed in our motorhome only one night/powered site for $50 including internet. Facilities are great and new, you will find everything you need here if you are staying longer. The lake just across the road is stunning! It might be packed during the high season though. Overall, we are impressed with this holiday park!

This was our first time staying at a Top 10 and were really impressed! The tent pitch was fantastic, quiet and well sheltered with a lovely view. The toilets and showers were absolutely spotless and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Already planning our next adventure using this as our base! Beautiful location right on lake Tikitapu too!

Very clean & modern facilities. The 2 thermal pools were a real treat. Kitchens and bathrooms spotlessly clean. Staff friendly & helpful. My only fault with the place is that there are no lights of any sort to lead the way to the toilets & bathroom in the dark, this is the only reason I haven't given 5 *

We had a great one night stay with two motorhomes. All amenities are super clean and have everything you could need for your stay. The team was very welcoming and friendly. The location is great and you don't have the sulphuric smell ;) We will definitely be back!

Nice place to stay, really helpful and friendly staff. A good number of different options to stay in. Having to enter a code to drive in was a bit annoying but it does increase security. The facilities were very clean. They turned the heater on in our room before we got there so I room is nice and warm when we arrived. A great location only metres from the Blue Lake, a lovely quiet location.

Have just arrived today, and find the park one of the best we have been to. Very clean and tidy, great sites and amenities and very friendly and helpful staff.

Such a beautiful peaceful site. The lake was a mill pond. The staff at the site were enthusiastic, friendly and extremely helpful but then you should see the view from their office - The facilities were spot on - even the shower had underfloor heating. Best camp site we have stayed at so far.

very peaceful spot. nice and quiet when i was there. amazing bush setting. they did not provide the top 10 discount on my one nights stay though- stating the discount for one person was enough already. not that i am concerned over $3, but was interesting to note. very nice grounds and setting.

Great spot for camping, facilities are some of the cleanest I've seen. Avoid Auckland long weekends though, it's better when it's quiet.

Nice camp ground in a good location, but they've recently expanded by adding camp sites making the grounds too large and hard for young kids to navigate. The "Top Camp" lacks the atmosphere, vistas and facilities. The lower camp sites were very densely packed. Still a great place to stay but pick your spot when you book.

Good and all. But over 70 dollars for a unpowered tent site in winter? A bit too expensive I think. Edit based on Owners reply - Yes i've dug up my bill, it wasn't quite Winter yet, April (felt like winter though) The stay was for two adults, and two children. 6 and 3 years old. Total Cost $77 for one night. Yes still a bit expensive.

One of the best places I've never stayed, everything you could ever wish for in a camping ground...Trump comes here when caravaning with Mel around Rotorua, he can often be spotted skinny dipping in blue lake before dawn

Great location, glowworms very nearby from the campsite which was a pleasant surprise. Free flashlights from reception desk to go and see them. Facilities were good (except for the cold shower ;)). 100mb of free wifi, could have been a little more in this day and age imo. Otherwise very nice and probably will return again

Went at Easter this year, absolutely chocka. Great facilities, having a cafe caravan on sight was great for impromptu hot chips or coffee. Being across the road from a great 5k trail run was awesome. Will definitely book to go again. Very kid friendly they put on a massive Easter egg hunt for the kids, colouring comp and there were 3 kids playgrounds.

Close to the blue lake the camp is molded into the landscape surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests. The facilities are well maintained modern and clean the top ground tent and caravan area is undeveloped but some want that. Pet friendly, kayaks and bikes for hire well stocked recreation room and the staff were honest with answers and helpful at the busy desk. The caravan site with water views is 21 or 19!

Brilliant place, top notch and in our own back yard! Owner very accommodating when we need to giggle our sites around. So close to the best mountain bike tracks too! Thanks Blue Lakes top ten!

Amazing place to stay right across from the lake side. Lovely and friendly staff and clean facilities. My family and I really enjoyed out stay.

Great quiet and private location by the blue lakes of Rotorua. The kitchens and toilets very clean and tidy. Little gripe about kitchen equipment locked away and you have to ask a closed kitchen for and the mere 250mb of free wi-fi data is such a non starter, especially when cellphone coverage is poor

Is a great camp ground and very fun place to stay. Could do with patrolling after 8pm as groups can be noisy and no one to control. Recent stay this week and group two sites down parties until 4am

Beautifully set right on the blue lake front, with its sensational perimeter walk. Lots of room with plenty of variation in accommodation. Highly recommend for families etc. And be sure to check out the glow worms on the lake walk!

Top 10 Holiday Parks are all well maintained and have good facilities. Get a membership card for savings if you book into lots of them... and there are lots of them, well spread out around the two islands. This one is set in a beautiful spot, but 10 minutes drive from Rotorua and shops.

Beautiful stunning Location, very convenient and lots of things to do. Amazing lake, lovely redwoods walk track, so many amazing activities to do in rotorua. The blue lake holiday park have a lot of things to do for kids and a rec room. Staff are very friendly.

Overpriced with mediocre facilities compared to other parks. If I could give 2.5 stars I would. The kitchen facilities were empty and you need to pay to use pots/pans according to the signs posted everywhere. The site is very spaced out with a bit of a hike to get to the showers and toilets. It’s a shame there are no good DOC sites around because you’re essentially forced to pay out the nose for a very overpriced spot. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Have stayed here since the sixties. Great amenities and cabins as well as tent and caravan sites. Perfect place to stay for those wishing to do the Rotorua Taupo Wairakei Huka Falls area. Recommend the self contained cabins. Kayaks and bikes available and close to the Buried village. Always stay there. RECOMMEND

We aimed for the Top10 in the Rotorua city centre. When we arrived and saw the price of $60NZ for an unpowered site for the night we turned around. Nope not paying that even if we have a discount. Instead we headed out of Rotorua for the Blue Lake Top10, which was a far more reasonable price & a nicer location. We are booked into here for two nights on a large and quiet pitch. The advantage with unpowered is you get a better quieter camping area than with power. As we had missed out on food shopping we tried the campsite shop. Choice so limited that we gave it a miss. We did have some salad and cheese in stock. The next day I used the campsite’s gas-fired BBQ. R used the laundry facilities. When we left on the morning I realised I had lost by wash bag, left it in the shower. It had been collected and was waiting for us at the reception.

One of the best Top10 holiday parks throughout NZ. A big bbq area, lots of room for your tent on the tent sites. With the blue lake right in front, there is no need for a pool :-) which is absolutely marvelous! Thank you for having us

Blue Lake TOP 10 Holiday park is a big park what can be a small village in the summer season for max. 750 guests. Now in May this park has all the facilities you need for an overnight stay. Laundry, hot showers, play ground for the kids. It is a well maintained clean campground for campervans, tents and cabins.

Wow...amazing camping location! We stayed here for a couple nights and enjoyed the lake and family friendly atmosphere. Kids loved the playgrounds and space to run freely.

First time ever to a holiday park. We booked an ensuite cabin which had kitchen utensils and a basic twin cooker, jug, toaster, microwave & fridge and tea, coffee and sugar. Bathroom was clean. The unit was basic but clean. Enough power points. The kids loved the wooden bunks and they were comfortable. Towels and sheeting provided. Single Car park right by the door. Ample space outside for the kids to run around in. The parks were close by for the kids to get to safely. Recycling station was central. Overall we loved it and will be going back again. We booked in advance and am glad we did. This a popular and beautiful spot. This holiday park is tidy and we'll maintained. The lake is across the road where locals and holiday campers can swim and picnic all day. Theres a small shop on the grounds with some small items. Kayaks can be hired too, though they weren't hiring out when we were there as there was a swimming comp the next morning. We didn't mind as we had a lot to explore.

Great location and fantastic facilities. Really enjoyed our holiday there. Staff all very polite. I was impressed at how well the grounds were maintained even with how busy it was. Will go again for sure.

Stayed here from 06 - 09 July 2018 with my wife as we were up from Palmerston North and I was going to do some MTB at reds while she did some local trail runs Accommodation - nice, warm and functional. Our Cabin consisted of 2 bunks. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids, with walk in shower and toilet unit combined. Small kitchenette, TV and decoder. If you plan to ride the owners do ask that you keep your bikes outside (pained me to do so) and there is signage inside that specifically mentions this. They do have a garage onsite but i kept mine locked to the outside post. The cabin has an oil column heater that is more than enough to warm up the unit. Security windows (only open so far) and blinds add to the privacy. External Surrounds - Consist of shower block buildings, playground, neighboring camp sites (powered and non powered) recycling facilities, entertainment block (pool / air hockey / tv etc). There is a one way road system in place but everything is easy enough to get too. Also you can wash your bike after riding the trails (bonus) Traffic control is done via a pin code security gate. Fair warning, the code panel is back lit but not very well and you will need to move to the R/H side to access it (why its not on the left is strange as it goes against normal traffic rules). Also take care when entering / exiting the park from the main road as traffic is constant. I'd advise exiting further down to the left when going OUT from the security arm barrier to better view oncoming traffic A local barista is setup outside the grounds (silver retro campervan hybrid). Coffee is fairy decent. Access to the lake is right outside the park. A track completely circumnavigates around the lake and is approx 6.4km. You can bike the circuit but will need to take the TANGAROAMIHI entrance for "biking" only (head back toward redwoods) During summer the place must be a hive of activity but during our stay (winter) it was quiet and peaceful. A trip into town would take you approx 10 - 15 mins by car. Getting to the Redwoods park entrance (Tarawera Rd side) is no problems and if you are biking you can access this side fairly easy from different points along the road. Recommend getting a map. If you plan to start on the other side of the Reds (SH3) it'll take you about 15 - 20 mins-ish.

This was our first time camping with two kids. The camp was pretty much booked out to max due to new year so even though we booked over 8 months ago we got an un-powered site. No biggie as we took a spare car battery and hooked up a cheap ebay power inverter which provided us with power and lighting for the whole 7 days. It was a bargain of ebay for $20. The camp had a Kids club run by a christian group. Fantastic to have a few hours break from them each morning so we could get ready for the day ahead. The kids loved it too. The facilities were awesome. The shop has everything you forgot to bring (although marked up 100%). The evenings even had camp-provided activities like quiz nights :) Friends of ours stayed in the family villas which were very expensive at 250 a night. They seemed to love them so that's the main thing. I did think our unpowered site was rather expensive at 75$ a night for what amounted to a 10m x 10m plot of dirt. It certainly did the trick however and was perfect distance to toilets and showers. We will Definately be booking ahead for next year!

Great camping with many kitchen and bathroom areas. It could not be any closer to the lake which is perfect. Only down side would be the staff who could be more welcoming and nicer.

Park is nice, with a beautiful view of the lake. No mobile phone reception, so I was relying on the parks wifi to contact family. Unfortunately the wifi was terrible. Constant dropouts and extremely slow. Not good, especially when the wifi wasn't free.

hi guys just to let you know that, our trip to bluelakes top10 was so awesome and so family friendly, great facilitys and awesome atmosphere, we stayed in a tent site and so private and sheltered, very secure with staff patroling site often, a must for children. only gripe!! didnt catch a fish!!. lol enjoy!, looking forward to returning. the only dislike was the trip from wgtn.

I found this Camp is definitely Tops. Met amazing staff and happy campers. Everything is kept clean and they have so much to offer campers.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful Map of the camp ground or markings are not clear, very confused on the first day but it didn't stop the kids having fun.

Huge site with clean and tidy facilities. Right next to the Blue lake but a 15 min drive from Rotorua. Being next to a water ski lake the park is popular with large noisy groups and their water ski boats.

Was ok it photos show as if it was right in front of the lake. We paid about 80 per night and for that price I'll expect at least see the lake. Noup. Also a bit far from Rotorua and everything.

Facilities were fine, the same as all the other Top 10 but what I didn't like about this one is that they charge extra for everything. Internet + $5 Hot tub + $$ Everything + $$

I have been there twice nd I loved it thea. It's a wonderful place where u can love camping, swimming nd family life. Sorry I don't have words to describe anymore coz it's jst a wonderful place.

Not really the best top10 we have been to. Showers and bbq area was not really clean. But definitely better location than the top10 in Rotorua.

Located on edge Lake and native bush.. best spot top end of park next to bush line.. more quiet .. stayed 1 nite in van.. wouldnt go here at peak season.. summer.. too busy and expect to pay Top10 park prices.

Great place to stay. All the amenities are clean and well kept.

From there you have a nice easy walk around Blue Lake. It takes 1h-1h30 max. You have a few beautiful views on the lake. Do it on a sunny day.

Popped in for an ice cream. Front of house looked nice and clean tidy. With a large tourist assistance office next door.

Just as the name suggests, the magnificent blue lake is directly across from the park. Park facilities are clean, modern and accessible.

Nice location very pretty, rooms are expensive for the size and facilities that you get. Everything is clean but quite cramped.
