We stayed in the cottage and it was lovely. Nice and private but you can go and use the spa in the main house. David was very helpful when we checked in and enthusiastic about things to do in the area. There is a helpful binder of information about things in the area too :)

This is a wonderful BnB in a beautiful setting. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The lounge and rooms are immaculately presented. Feeding the alpacas was a nice touch! We would stay here again and would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We loved our stay at the cottage ! So close to town yet secluded from the hustle and bustle. Hand feeding their alpacas and watching them graze from our bedroom was such a unique experience. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend booking.

This is the best place to stay in Rotorua. The hosts Leigh and Angie are so warm and welcoming. You will experience true hospitality here. Their homemade breakfast that we enjoyed here each morning was delicious, healthy and filling. It is the perfect to start your sightseeing day. The homemade blueberry muffins and zucchini bread were delicious and comforting. The homemade plum jam, grapefruit marmalade, lemon curd, peanut butter, and muesli were delectable as well. Our room was extremely clean, comfortable and luxurious. This really felt like our home away from home. Angie and Leigh gave us extremely valuable tips on when and where to best see the sites. I think we made the most of our 2 days here because of Angie and Leigh’s recommendations. When we visit Rotorua again, we will certainly stay here.

Not only is the City Lights Boutique Lodge situated at a perfect place with a beautiful view of Rotorua - complete with lake, city and the occasional geyser. But the hosts, Angie and Leigh are also extremely welcoming, friendly and caring, providing a lot of tips on what to do in the area. We couldn't have asked for any better service during our unfortunately quite short stay. The Lodge itself is stylish, modern and clean on the outside and inside. Our room - Kiwi - had just the perfect size and amenities. Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of nice things to choose from. As a bonus, some comic relief is provided by the very cute Alpacas, and a quite charming cat, Oscar. Really the only downside was the shortness of our stay, just one night. We certainly have to fix that next time we visit Rotorua, and the City Lights Boutique Lodge.

A big thank you to Leigh and Angie our wonderful hosts for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. Beautiful accommodation with breathtaking views, close to everything. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer. But we will definitely be back!

Highly recommend staying at City Lights Boutique Lodge on Mountain Road in Rotorua, New Zealand. Friendly hosts, impeccable accommodation. The rooms are cosy and tastefully decorated with the most comfortable furniture and cosy bedding. The guest lounge is spacious and the views across the city are truly lovely at all times of the day. Spa pool overlooking the city view, small but effective gym, lovely rural setting only a few minutes from the city centre. If you love to rest in comfort and quiet, this is the place for you.

My favorite place during my two week vacation in New Zealand! So quiet and beautiful! Can’t get enough of the views! Hosts are super helpful. Also the friendly alpacas are a big plus :)

The hosts are great, the breakfast very good. (Original) Un lugar cómodo para alojarse. Las habitaciones muy amplias y con mucha luz. Teníamos terraza y por la mañana podíamos dar de desayunar a las alpacas. Los anfitriones son geniales, el desayuno muy bueno.
