J.Stayed here for 2 days and 1 night last minute, because other places were booked up, but we were pleasantly surprised with this place! Our room (Small double room) was simple, clean and had the essentials. Also the lady at the front desk who checked us in was very polite and helpful - our fridge wasn't working when we arrived but she came and fixed the plug situation and it was all good. I, being quite a clean freak, liked this place a lot. It has parking included and is also close to all the shops so that's a bonus. Probably the only thing my partner and I didn't like was the shower head sprays in different directions and it's hard to shower unless u just hold the shower head and spray it close to your body... but other than that it's fine 😁
A.OK but wasn't happy with the bed situation. Wanted a big bed and got 2 small ones pushed together! Not ideal for a couple.
And no air con, but it was fine temperature wise for us.
Location was good and accessible to most of town and the geothermal spots.
Bit expensive for the accomodations standard but acceptable.
T.Nice stay, staff that we saw were very friendly, motel appeared a little run down but ok, chopping board and scissors would have been nice to have, and staff need to check that all appliances are off as we found the cooktop was on when we arrived

K.Great heated pool, room was nice but the bed was a little lumpy and I didnt seem.to have my own car park. Minor issues though, I would gladly stay again
W.Good motel to stay but the only down thing was when I booked it online and requested a early check in at 11am and when we arrived at the motel to check in the reception lady said our room isn't ready not until 1pm but I had a 1 year old in the car already tired of sitting for a 3 hour drive from auckland. I told the receptionist that I requested it online and she said if I had received an email to say it was confirmed and I said yes and she just say sorry our room isn't ready. She even said she will give me a call asap once our room is ready but nothing happen so we ended up checking in at 1pm. But we were there at 10.30am. Other than that the room was alright.
T.We had two rooms (in a suite) and they were both great. Inclusion of a kitchenette in the large room is a huge plus. We used the heated pool every day. Remember don't mind the smell! It is the whole town that smells bad (heavy sulfur in the air)!
R.Great location, originally well made but currently in need of a do up. Walls of room partially repainted, carpets worn and stained.
Bed uncomfortable too. Otherwise probably the best set up unit I've stayed in this year!
T.Location was in the central handy to the city and restaurants. The staff were pretty easy going. The sign out the front says reburbished rooms, clearly not all rooms have been refurbished as our room (205) clearly hadnt. A yummy cooked …
t.Had a most excellent stay at this aged but cosy motel. For how old it is, it is well maintained. Staff are forever friendly and helpful with all our needs. Had all the necessities of home with a comfortable room, cosy sitting area, well equipped kitchenette, fresh towels daily, heated pool, kids playground and easy access.
A.Convenient location, rooms were comfortable, nice heated pool room service very lovely
T.The kitchen facilities were in bad condition and the bathroom was full of pink 70s decor. There were chunks taken from the pool, a mat that I haven't seen since the early 90's and some cigarette butts from previous stayers. Not the kind of place I would choose to stay and was really disappointed.
T.The room was clean. The windows had a very basic lock, and the room door wouldn't have withstood much more than a firm shove or kick. We paid the small price and found it was absolutely worth the upgrade. Thanks Devonwood ***or team, we enjoyed our weekend in Rotorua with you.
T.We got a special deal off Yazoom so we paid very little for what we got. The location is convenient to city focus. Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. You have your basic utensils which was fine for our stay because we only needed a place to stay. Reasonable price for what you received.
W.We knew it was a budget accommodation before we got there but will have to do say the room was comfortable and clean however it could have done with a few fine adjustments to the decorating which would cost very little and make a big difference... but the worst part is the spa pool which is what we went for...at times we found the hot water like warm and the spa does not keep the temperature hot...so they need to focus on tidying up the place and sort the spa and they could charge more...
T.I had stayed here some 5yrs ago and had found it good value at the time. Luckily we found a real nice restaurant in town. My wife would stay again but we'd have to indulge in a long distance relationship because i'm shopping around in future with all of the competition.
T.KIA ORA This motel was quite central for us and we did have a wonderful warm stay. We decided to take the children for a swim in the HEATED pool. Hosts were very friendly and even had the warm clothes for my boys as weather in Rotorua suddenly turn cold.
Y.Very nice place to stay there my kids enjoyed it there my baby wants to have here birthday 🎂 there so it looks like I have to book it for January 26th
T.lovely & welcoming receptionist, made us feel at home. the pool is luxurious, cosy & functional rooms, television has a good picture and good selection of channels.

S.Shower not clean, no toiletries, bed hard,bright light outside, curtains short, loud visitors in pool till early hours in the morning 🙄 needless to say not much sleep!!
