T. M.Very affordable, you do get what you pay for in the end. Rooms were in average condition the shower was cold more often than hot so not nice showers. Had room serviced but left 2 of us with 1 towel. Staff were friendly pool was nice but spa out of action, close to town so handy to do things. Based on price I would try staying again and hope for some improvements. As I said you get what you pay for.
N. B.I feel bad for giving this place 3 stars because there is nothing wrong with it, it's simply a normal hotel. There were a few small things that weren't great like the 9pm gate closure being at 7pm, meaning we couldn't bring our bikes in, but ultimately if I needed to stay somewhere for a good price I'd happily go back.
The staff are great, the pool and spa are good too.
L. J.Really nice room. All the things you need in it including Sky. Place is easy to find and has plenty of parking in the back carpark and they have a side entry that they lock up at night. Highly recommended.

J. C.Unfortunately other motels I stayed in NZD were far superior. Worst thing about the place they only supplied 2 teabags. I drink like 3 teas a day! Bed was comfortable tho etc. Shower was just plain weird but semi functional in the end
Y. K.The location was great. Rooms were spacious, clean toilets, nice amenities. Plenty of parking and the gates are closed at night but the carpets in the room were at a very poor start, stains all over them, the bed and linens had a weird smell.
T.Lots of room for the family. The room was clean. It's so nice dealing with hotel staff who actually like to help you and enjoy talking to guests. The forest walk to see the glow worms and the natural spring was a lovely treat after the hungi dinner. Centrally locate to all amenities.
R. S.For the price we paid can't complain. The carpet was very stained, bathroom was a little dirty and the entire room needs a little more ventilation as we felt it was stuffy unless you opened a window- not ideal if the weather is cold. We did enjoy the fact that it was a close walk to the Lake and Eat Street.
T.Loved the location. The hotel is very up to date and surrounds all very neatly kept. Upon arrival and checking in the staff were great. We stayed in a room that was facing the road, so naturally I have to say there is a bit more road noise then I would like.

Harry rescued us (4 families) and accomodate us at the last minute of the night. He was so friendly and was able to solve the issue in a very calm/helpful manner. I can say that this motel is so lucky to have Harry! I must come back here!

T.Amazing place to stay in Rotorua. The hot and cold pools were thoroughly enjoyed by our family. I was grateful that reception put us in a disabled room as it was easy for us to have a shower etc. Adequate continental breakfast which I took back to our room as dining room busy. Location was awesome.
T. T. b.Lovely place to stay. Warm welcoming at reception. Definitely helped explain great things to do for us on holiday. Location is perfect for a tourist. Got to the room and was lovely and warm . The cleanliness of the room wasn't 100. E.g. stained carpets, dirty cups. Suggest maybe little dish wash liquid to go with the dish cloth and tea towel may help. The only other thing that would have been helpful would have been a book in the room explaining bits about the hotel. E.g. check out times, breakfast area location and times, numbers to contact reception, etc. Other than that would totally stay again.
A. R.Very friendly staff and you get a warm welcome. Rooms are very well organised including privacy if you have a third guest due to it being well set up. The security lights around the building provides you with peace of mind especially when you drive in at night and the sensors activate the lights as you move so you don't have to panic to walk in the dark. We stayed in lake Rotorua hotel for 3 nights. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment.
+ Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and and friendly staff. Also free unlimited wifi
- tired and stained carpets, marks on walls near stairs, next to a noisy road.
Overall this hotel is good if you want to have space, and luxuries like a pool and spa at a budget price, however this is let down by the drab interiors and bad location (near industrial area).
t. h.We arived to a very warm welcome from the man at reception who proceeded to hrlp us out with the local attractions. When we got to our room we found it warm and ready for us. We hace stayed here 3 nights now and the rooms have been serviced brilliantly. The pool and spa are heated (even through out winter) and the water quality was great. Rooms have general wear and tear common in most places, but are tidy overall. If you stay here you will be greeted with a warm and inviting room, comfortable beds, wonderful shower water pressure and great service
T.Our unit was clean and tidy. Thank you to Yogi and all the staff. The room was so big. The Room was clean. Value for money and has everything that's needed. I highly recommend this place to everyone who's on a budget but is very set in high standards like myself.

Puts in time and attends accurately to all questions including helping out with local site seeing. Brilliant experience. Clean and cozy rooms and free car is convenient after paying ridiculous parking rates in Auckland.

T.I would define the property as a motel rather than a hotel, but are probably required to call it a hotel as you cannot park your car directly in front of your room. Location was not ideal with a 10 min drive to get something to eat. For the price this was good.
F. R.Okay if a quick stay. No sky was a major letdown as its a common for all hotel and motel. Good size room but shower hot and cold was bit letdown. Net was free but but slow.
E.I expected more for the price, location, and reviews. Cleanliness was lacking, the microwave plate was molded and uncleaned, carpet was heavily stained, and when I removed the pull-out bed couch for sleeping, there were wrappers/rubbish behind it.

T.I had such an amazing time during my stay at Lake Rotorua Hotel. The room rate we paid was very reasonable. Yogi was a great ***ager. The rooms where of good condition we just needed a table to eat our meal apart from that I was happy with my stay.
T.The ***ager tried to convince us it was a good room but it wasn't. In the morning noticed blood on the bathroom door frame and wall and the floor behind the door was disgusting. Road noise was loud from 7am until 7pm as windows aren't double glazed or sound proof.
J.Nice hotel with everything you need. Good pool and spa for adults and kids. It's central to city centre and to skyline.
The backyard view although was not appealing. Overall a good experience.
