D.We had a very comfortable overnight stay at Malones only 1 issue which requires addressing and we have left that with the owner to deal with. The receptionist whom was on this morning requires a course on good customer relations starting with, "treat all as you would want to be treated" ...and you can't go wrong. Thank to the receptionist who greeted us and kindly moved her vehicle to house ours. Thank you to the gentleman on reception this morning who listened to our direct approach regarding our issue and apologised for the way we were treated. Also thank you for contacting us regarding the item we left behind. Yes, I would stay here again, clean & quiet.
K.Had a comfortable night here. Rooms are spacious, have a bug tub "spa" and as we were away from the road it was VERY quiet. Great value and super friendly staff. Excellent vaulenfor what you pay here.
V.It's ok. The walls are thin so if you've got chatty neighbours then it could be a long night. The decor is a little dated and the rooms tired looking. But, they're very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the spa pool is lovely and deep and it's an easy drive into town.

Only problem in our room no air conditioning.
However there is air conditioned rooms. Nice privat big spa. Couldn't here any noise next door, both rooms next to us had guests.
Would definitely stay there again.

S.Was a very nice place. Clean and tidy. Compact rooms. Having the in-room spa was definitely the highlight. Location was very central to town and to other locations. Very comfortable bed. Only downside, the TV could have been a little bigger and the spa had a limited use time. Very odd.
S.Malone's Motel was awesome for the cost. The living area looks great, the shower in room 202 was awesome even though the bathroom and kitchen have a dated design. The hot tap washer needed replacing as it kept dripping. The bed was super comfortable. And the lovely lady at the desk gave me a chocolate going away gift
K.We stayed one night was very clean even though it is dated staff lovely showed us the room before we paid staff couldn't do enough for us and what a lovely surprise too get a box of chocolates will be back
T.It's a nice quiet place with kitchen facilities and a big hot tub! Easy to get around to see the sights. Friendly staff and a self-service laundry for NZ$10. Overall a good choice.
C.Place is obviously an older establishment and there's a little wear and tear in the rooms, but the one we stayed in was extremely neat and tidy, beds were comfortable, sheets were beautiful and the facilities were up to a good standard. Very close to amenities and fast food places, ample and roomy parking. Personal hot tub was amazing. Reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again.

Only gripe I have is the lack of soundproofing between units, we stayed for two nights and could hear the neighbours snoring next door which made for a bad nights sleep
The spa baths are fantastic, and the units are family friendly. Decor is a little outdated however we were only using the unit as a base and to sleep (well try to sleep)
S.I stayed for 1 night and was very happy. Nice and clean and bed was very comfy. Loved the private spa! People were lovely to deal with at reception. Price was very reasonable too. ☺️
P.Nice relaxing place close to town centre. The spa tub in the rooms is a great thing to have. The decor in the rooms look a bit dated, but you get what you pay for. Overall a good place to stay for a night or couple of nights.
M.We were served by nice people checking in and throughout our 4 day stay. The studio room was nice and large and great to have a separate kitchen. But it's tired and needs makeover; not enough sockets in the kitchen for the 3 appliances they provide, shaver plug only in bathroom, spa didnt have bubbles jet. Needs a makeover really.

S.Room needs a little TLC but otherwise meets all expectations, plenty of light. For me the bed was far too soft and like a trampoline - but each to their own. My only gripe would be that the electric blanket had one remote which means both sides either had to have it on or off - hard when one likes and one doesn't. Really liked the set up - spa bath was super, water needed to be hotte. Hosts were super nice - even gave a small bottle of milk not just those silly little container thingies. And then a lovely touch when we left - a box of chocolates - highly recommend this place, great location good parking.
M.Generally very outdated units. The decor is drab, shower/toilet/basin look like originals from 1970s could seriously do with modernizing the units. A repaint would go a long way, and some nicer furnishings would make a big difference. The condition of the units does not really come across in the photos so much. Spa pool was enjoyable and staff friendly.
s.<3 just loved this place! Super clean and the staff is so amazing! Spend 3 days and didn’t want to leave! But we will definitely come back! <3

R.My fiancee and I really enjoyed our weekend here. Staff is lovly and friendly, the room we stayed in was warm and clean and the beds are very comfortable. When we checked out we were given a bar of chocolate. So Thanku Malones for having us. So therefore we will deffinitly recommend you to family and friends.
E.I booked a 4 star hotel but should have less than 3. Is clean, but the structure is quite old. Is ok to sleep one/two nights if you don't expect too much. The staff was nice and helpful

R.Cant believe they dont have Air Conditioning. The heat outside is terrible and unbearable. So sitting in our room with the fan blowing the heat to and fro. The afternoon Sun shining straight in the room. The dark Curtains are doing well to keep the glare out. Cant wait for the night to come..But everything else seems ok..There is soo much to like about this Motel. I'm wishful of an air-conditioner, but not available, that's ok. It means instead of sitting in the room in the afternoon sun, go for a drive. The room is spacious, the In-room spa bath is huge and the conditions and price is very reasonable. Nice Motel thanks for a great couple of days...
E.The BEST cleaning crew, replaced everything, clean unit throughout. Spa was great, price was good as the discount on Trivago. On a side note when booking, credit card payment gets taken out before you arrive. Would suggest to management payment on arrival option .

G.Ahhhh a very Kool place to stay :) the owner very helpful and the spa to die for :) :) xx...just spend 10 minutes reading other reviews from alot of unhappy people who have stayed here in the past and wow Im surprised on how pickie some people can be lol...what do people expect for a hundred dollar room? I expect clean sheets clean shower and clean toilet lol and that's what I got and a hole lot more :) when I arrived my back was playing up with all the driving I had been doing so the lady owner went out of her way and went and got me a foam underlay from her own apartment :) I will be staying here again the next time we in rotovagus as very good value and friendly staff :) and to all the moaning minies stop making it hard for some one to make a honest living :) :) xx

R.Enjoyed our stay at Malones. Didnt book just turned up. Due to being double booked by another motel. Owner was very helpful in a stressful situation and easily accomadated our family of 5 for 2 nights.
Would definately recommend the family spa pool units, will be going back.
