Thank you guys for a brilliant stay. My son and I booked here just for the night and it was perfect. Everything was so clean in our room, the beds were lovely and comfy. The staff were so lovely and welcoming too. I picked your place for the reviews and I honestly am so glad I did. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Lovely staff, super helpful with local eating places, clean an tidy. Spa pool in private room off of bedroom was fantastic, parking is a little tight but staff were awesome with using other spots available. No seating outside room but option to use front of motel benchs. Very quiet road, neighbouring rooms were a little loud which carries through spa pool room, swimming pool area was lovely and pool was heated too. Will definitely stay again.

Selected this accommodation for a staff member in Rotorua for 2 days. feedback was that the place was very overpriced for what it was and, although this was a business trip and the place had been given the company credit card for payment, they rudely insisted that the staff member pay for the room out of his own pocket. Definitely will never use them again.

A wonderful motel that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and would always listen to my kids life stories, haha. It's very central and within 5-10 minutes drive of most of the attractions. The beds and pillows were lovely and we had a full kitchen. I found the fridge and freezer weren't overly cold so I turned the fridge right down to 1 and put everything at the back. Our iceblocks and frozen chips actually defrosted in the top drawer of the freezer so I moved everything to the bottom drawer which worked better. The pool is heated but it was surprisingly still refreshing, even on the 30+ degree days that we were there. We swam every day for at least an hour, the kids LOVED it. There is also a private spa available to hire. I didn't use it this visit as I don't really want to be locked in a room with 3 small children, lol. There is a laundry available for use, just see reception for instructions and washing powder. There is a dryer available for those cold, wet days. The only negative I would have is that our room wasn't serviced (that I could tell) for the 5 days we were there. That being said, it wasn't a massive deal and it isn't hard to take out our rubbish and recycling to the bins. The staff were crazy busy with people coming and going, and having worked in this area myself I know how stressful it can be. A definite 5 star rating from me and we will definitley be back!

Lovely place to stay with the private spa, but the room was never serviced the 4 nights we stayed, so had to keep asking reception for more coffee / rubbish to be taken out from our rooms and our towels never got replaced

Place was okay. No air con which was pretty tough during summer. Spa was good pretty deep and warm. Bit of peeling paint in spa room which detracted from it. More a winter visit than summer due to lack of air con. It was tidy new looking carpet. Front of house were great (they were filling in). It was okay with air con I would give it another star

What an awesome motel! Spent the weekend here for my 30th and enjoyed the friendly, accommodating staff. Very clean, quiet and tidy with the lovely hot spa bath to top it off. I will be back to enjoy another getaway here. Very relaxing experience. Highly recommend this motel - 5stars!

Very good. It would be great to be able to adjust temperature at the private spa. It is too hot.

Excellent accommodation. We had the one bedroom spa unit, plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, good size bathroom, lounge and dining area with a smart tv. Bedroom also had a smart tv and separate spa room. We enjoyed the heated pool also and often had it to ourselves. Good parking and on a quiet street. Great value for money, highly recommend

Amazing Amazing Amazing. Staff were amazing from the get go. We needed a place to stay as it was my partners 21st Birthday holiday. This lovely Hotel just had everything we needed for the weekend a lovely heated pool with a private spa pool as well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a simple and relaxing experience with family. Shopping malls and shopping centers nearby very easy location for getting to places around rotorua. Friendly staff and managers are always looking to make your stay as comfortable as can be 5 stars from me.

Was looking for an nice place for daughter 21st. Was extremely amazed with the efforts the staff and management that helped us get settled and making us feel welcomed. They worked tirelessly to cater for everyone’s need. Loved the rooms enjoyed the heated pool and private spa pool. Would recommend them to anyone and 1 of the best Motels I’ve stayed at thus far in Rotorua and I will certainly book myself in to them again.

Good value, loved the pool, the in room spa pool was incredible. Very decent size room. Staff were lovely. Only issue I had was the very tight parking, but all in all I will definitely go back there when I go to rotorua.

Wonderful experience. Great service which is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to going out. Really loved our time there. My only tiny and minor critiques are that the main bed was a bit hard for me, but there was a comfy single in the living area that I could jump on and that the spa was not quite hot enough but that couldn't be helped. Still giving 5 stars for overall experience x Thank you so much, we will definitely be back again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sport of Kings. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our door handle was broken on arrival and wouldn't lock. We popped out for dinner, were gone not much more than an hour, and it had been completely replaced when we returned. Fantastic service. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the strong sulfur smell in the room, due to the spa pool. I do understand that it is supposed to smell like that, but there is no way to ventilate the master bedroom (other than through the spa) so the smell is heavy and it's with you all night. Just a small thing, though. We'd happily stay again :)

This property and management are TOP NOTCH!! The room was perfect!!!! Cozy and warm with EVERY DETAIL thought of for us weary travelers. The beds were comfy and the geothermal heating most welcome on our cold July night. We had a late check in and the hosts (the most professional) were very accommodating. We loved their selection of teas and coffee and the layout of the space was perfect for our needs. The hot tub/Jacuzzi was not hot, but the pool more than made up for it. Our room was right next to the pool but we did not hear a peep. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer!!

Excellent accomodation at very reasonable price for what it is. Our room was well layed out, modern and clean. We absolutely loved the bedroom with its high ceiling and romantic private spa attached. The outdoor pool was our favourite way to end the day, perfect temperature and is nice and private. The staff were very friendly and informative about local attractions. It was an absolute pleasure.

A great location in Rotorua, being close to the centre of town, but out enough to not hear it. Upon arrival we were provided a small bottle of milk, and offered some freshly ground coffee, which was very welcome after the long drive from Wellington in the rain. The managers were very helpful and pleasant in all dealings we had with them. Lovely heated pool to help soothe the body after the drive. There were 2 spas on site which you can lock the doors to so you can have a private spa if you wish. Plenty of towels provided for both bathing and swimming. Although the units were a bit dated, it had been renovated and updated kitchens, bathrooms and the like. The only downside is that it's a little pokey to get your car into the rear to park if you're in one of the back units. Some found this too difficult and ended up parking out the front which took the parking spots away from those in the front units.

We had a wonderful experience at this motel. Tristan went above and beyond of what is required of management staff. Enjoyed the quaint little pool. & hot tub. I thought is was wonderful that the motel had clothes lines and the staff even helped with my laundry. Within walking distance to town. thank you Tristan Eleanor and Gerald - Canada

Sent two nights in one of the new apartments. Very spacious, warm and welcoming. Apartment had everything you would ever need while away plus private spa and BBQ on own deck. Fantastic place can't wait to stay again.

Clean and tidy units. Ours was a one bedroom unit with a spa, great service as well. I can see why they have a high rating. We left items in the units. They sent it first business day by courier to our home address. This was our second visit and my wife and I loved it!

Absolutely amazing customer service. The rooms were above expectation. Very clean and the spas in the room were a bonus. Our first priority while booking motels in Rotorua here on. We had 2 emergencies at night and could not sleep till 6 in morning. Very touched by the way we were given late checkout to rest before heading back to Auckland. Very impressive.

SOKs is our go-to if we are in Rotorua. The units are always clean. The private spa-pools are spotless & so big you can really stretch out & relax. The outdoor pool is at an ideal temperature. You very rarely hear the other travelers while in your unit. Freshly ground coffee is always readily available and delivered to your unit with a warm smile. We have always had a very warm welcome from Tristan! They also promote saving the environment, with refillable containers of shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand soap. They've recently started supporting Wingspan (check it out while stating at SOKs!) They have an EV charging station, too! We will be back, again, because we always enjoy our stays.

This place is awesome. Our stay in Rotorua was fantastic and it helped to be staying at the Sport of Kings Motel. Service was excellent, and staff super friendly. Will definitely remember them for the next time we are in RotoVegas.

I stayed here twice recently during a particularly brief trip home. This motel is brilliant & handy to everything, yet out of the way . The staff, the owners are all exceedingly helpful and friendly. The unit was spotlessly clean (unit 13), no road noise & absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend

The owner is so very friendly. Our room was large and very clean as was the ensuite. Bed very comfortable and breakfast lovely. We used the outdoor pool and borrowed bikes free of charge to ride around the lake.

Great motel that I would certainly book again. The hosts, Peter and Tristen couldn't do enough for us and were so welcoming and friendly. The spa room we had was clean and perfectly presented with everything we needed. Without hesitation I'd recommend staying here. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!!!

This place has to ne some of the best accommodation I've stayed in Rotorua. The staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable and it's far enough from the city to not be busy, but close enough tha y you don't have to drive or walk for a.day to get to anything. They offer 2 charging stations for those who own a tesla (not suitable for any other EV) and they have spas and a heated pool which is perfect for winter. Parking is a bit of a squeeze of you have a large vehicle, but it is manageable

Honestly, I was expecting a bit more. The room was ok. If you are there for business then this may not be the best one. There's no table but a narrow bench with couple of bar stools. Wireless network was dropping off several times in a space of about an hour making work frustrating. The staff are very friendly and always smiling and welcoming.

My partner and I did a quick trip to Rotarua during our holiday in NZ. We were only there for 3 days, but we can both honestly say it's one of the best places we've stayed on any of our holidays. Nothing beats customer service and honest hospitality, which these guys have in abundance. Tristan and Pete were both super friendly and eager to help us with whatever we needed, be it finding a good restaurant for dinner or even booking our tours for us. The accommodation itself is definitely value for money!!! It was super clean and well laid out. We booked one of the spa rooms and I could not recommend this enough! We even had free wifi.. it may sound weird that we got excited about this, but we stayed at The Hilton in another location and wifi was an extra charge. If you're ever staying in Rotarua and value customer service, we highly recommend this place. Value for money and positive memories, 5 stars! :)

We had a great stay. Really nice staff. They have bikes available for hire, DVDs, books, pool, private spa, TV, breakfast option, parking. It's not a cheap place but the experience is awesome. Highly recommend.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Rooms were basic but clean, tidy and functional. Would have been perfect if they had aircon to cool the higher than normal summer heat and clarify the Rotorua odour.

Once again Pete and Tristen excelled and was more than happy to cater for my personal requests at very short notice. Sport of Kings was a very good motel. Quiet and pleasant with hot pools and a swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Airport pick up and free bikes for local transport were a great bonus and saved rental car cost.

Everything was good in terms of the property, the service was excellent and the pool and spa were fantastic. A fan or something in the room to circulate the air. For the price and location we were very happy.

We found the motel to be comfortable, warm, clean and spacious. Lovely proprietors too. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lovely warm swimming pool and spa. We'll be back!

Exactly what we needed for a brief stopover in Christchurch ahead of exploring the south Island. Friendly and helpful welcome. Lots of information provided on local restaurants and attractions. Plenty of parking. Clean rooms. Well located for city centre, the park, airport and restaurants. Hard to think of anything I could suggest to improve it. Fairly priced. If only all hotels were like this one!

Our go to when ever we're in Rotorua. Pete and Tristen are always so welcoming. The room's are clean and tidy. The bathroom's clean and well stocked with products. You can also get discounts on local activities

The couple who owns this motel were very accomadating right from the start of our stay. We were arriving late, they made it easy for us to get the key to let ourself s in. They had great knowledge and deals about things to do in rotorua, and went out of their way to make bookings that suited our needs. The room itself was very clean, and comfortable to stay in. OK, so where do I start: - Pete and Tristan are wonderful human beings for reasons too abundant to enumerate here - go and meet them and see for yourself - The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with a thermal spa bath for your relaxing needs - As the motel is tucked away on a side street, über tranquil; I got the best nights sleep I have had in years - The proprietors have heaps of local knowledge, fascinating stories and tips for tourists; also discount vouchers for some attractions - The coffee It's worth visiting Rotorua just to stay here!

In addition, my room had 2 TV sets on which you could see 5 Sky programs, among other things. The owner of the motel is incredibly helpful and courteous, gives tips on what activities are worthwhile and books them right away. She also washed and dried my dirty laundry without paying. So if you are in this beautiful area stay at this motel. (Original) Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit einem eigenen Whirpool, welcher sich direkt neben dem Schlafzimmer befand. War ein absoluter Traum. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet sogar mit Backofen und 4 Kochfeldern. Außerdem verfügte mein Zimmer über 2 TV Geräte über die man unter anderem 5 Sky Programme sehen konnte. Die Besitzerin des Motels ist unheimlich hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, gibt Tips was für Unternehmungen sich lohnen und bucht diese auch gleich. Meine Schmutzwäsche hat sie ohne Bezahlung auch gleich mit gewaschen und getrocknet. Also wenn ihr in dieser wunderschönen Gegend seid übernachtet in diesem Motel.
