Very small quiet camp ground with lovely stream to fish from. Big kitchen with everything needed. Nice games rooms. Booking system could be better as there website showed alot of availability so made a booking and headed that way the next day to receive email saying they cant take us. I expressed I had travlled to the area so they allowed us to camp in the car park area Wich was fine by us as it was grassed for us to put tent. There website also states it's $21 per person per nite I was charged $160 for 2 people for 2 nites when it should have been $84

It was an incredible stay at the Waiteti trout stream holiday park as it had a very warm and cordial vibe to it.The people staying there long term reside like a one big family unit, extremely welcoming and compassionate.Chris, the manager of the property is a great guy, a true professional but very generous with the guests,we felt very welcoming becuz of the hospitality extended towards us.We can definitely vouch that Chris is one of the best managers we have ever met as he made sure our whole experience was delightful.
Thankyou once again..

Really friendly. Free kayak rent and facilities (incl free hot shower!) V clean

Great place to camp at, cheap and affordable.
Really good and clean facilities. Kitchen is fantastic, user friendly and tidy.
Not really that far from city center.
They are pet friendly too, which is great for travelling people travelling with K9's.
Made good use of kayaks that were available. But the life jackets need to be replaced, they are outdated and do not fit properly. Some have missing clips and broken foam pads so would be useless in keeping someone afloat.
I made do and enjoyed it anyway.
Definately be back when travelling through again.

A very quiet and restful spot. Good staff helpful and friendly. This is one of the cleanest camps we have ever been lucky enough to park in. Would definitely recommend it and go back again ,dog friendly too. Saw lots of trout.
C.
Very clean, friendly staff, close to tourist attractions. Loved being able to watch the ducks and black swans on the river, which my husband fished quite a lot. Dogs are welcome on a lead. We will definitely be back. Very happy campers.

Stayed for one night in one of the powered camping / van spots right next to the lake. Super calm, super clean and a very relaxing atmosphere. Very suited for families with kids since there is lots to do around and within the campsite itself. Would definitely come again! Don’t forget the anti-mosquito equipment when located close to the water 😉

Great little camping spot. The manager was extremely friendly and accommodating, making sure we knew exactly where everything was to make the most of our stay. We had a small camping spot just next to the creek and it was very peaceful. Water taps are next to every campsite. Facilities were great and well kept. I would definitely recommend this awesome spot.

We booked here for a quiet Easter weekend with our two little dogs after a hectic time. We really enjoyed the peace & quiet, the grounds are beautifully kept, the manager is friendly & keen to share details on local amenities as well as accommodation facilities. Bathrooms & kitchen are clean & walking tracks to the lake for the dogs are a bonus. The place was full but everyone was respectful, a reflection of the manager's care & attention to his guests.

We parked our camper here overnight and it was a lovely place. Friendly staff. We had a spot right beside the stream which was great (though the mosquitos were out at night). The amenities were nice and clean (bathroom and shower). Didn't use the kitchen or common room. We were given some complimentary WiFi passes which was great to back up our holiday photos. In the morning we were visited by a group of friendly ducks looking for a snack, very cute.

I enjoyed this cute little park with the duck pond and free kayaks to cruise in the little lake. Cheap price I think this was $37 for two in an unpowered van + facilities were decent and the hairdryer kept my gf happy. Very friendly reception although we tried to use the kitchen around 11.30am and it was closed for cleaning =/.
F.
Stayed there for 3 nights and were absolutely pleased with the campsite. Calm site and great for kayaking on the river and duck-feeding. Kitchen, laundry and solar-powered hot showers are all great.
c.
Great weekend spot kayaking on the stream. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Helpful campers on site sharing advice and tips.

A little out of the way but better for it! Beautiful, peaceful setting in well cared for grounds with a pretty stream leading to riverside path - a pleasant 10 minute stroll (stopping for some trout spotting en route) all the way down to the lake. About a 5 minutes drive to local shops in ngongotaha and 15 mins from Rotorua. Welcoming and friendly hosts with good local knowledge, they offered advice and vouchers for some of the local attractions we were planning on visiting and even an ice lolly on arrival for my friends child. The motel room we were sharing with our friends was really clean and spacious, with comfy beds and kitted out with everything we needed. Spent a rainy afternoon discovering a love for ping pong in the games room! Will definitely be back to this one :)

This is one of my very favourite campsites! The tranquility of the Waiteti stream makes this a special place to stay. The camp is immaculately kept with tidy, clean facilities and friendly helpful staff. They even rake the driveways! This is a superb example that other camps could learn from.

The manager worked out for us to stay close to other family staying there, and very welcoming on our arrival, showing us how things worked and what was available to us on site. Had plenty for the kids to do, they all enjoyed. Other staff were very friendly also.
Very quiet and peaceful though not to the extent the kids couldnt enjoy being kids.accommodation met our needs.
Thanks waiteti staff

Please note: I am posting a neutral review to add info that may be useful to others. This campground is listed on many websites about "dog friendly" accommodation. Please be aware they turned us away when they found out we had Staffies. On the other hand "All seasons holiday park" let us stay there last minute with our dogs and did not discriminate based on breed. Thought I would let others know so if they have a Staffy they don't waste their time.

Michael runs a class little spot here. This place has everything and is friendly to a fault. Well maintained place with a lovely little River running along the perimeter with a seating area. Showers are good and washing machine is huge. Would highly recommend this place.
B.
Lovely time camping here right beside the stream. Very family friendly. Great facilities and clean
D.
Friendly and very helpful management and staff. Beautiful camp and very peaceful. Amenities always spotlessly clean. I heartily recommend this camp especially to any who just want some lazy relaxing days.
M.
This is a very nice little campground close to Rotorua lake and most attractions. It's very quiet, amenities and campervan sites are very good. The manager gave us good advices (and discounts) for activities around. Really happy.
J.
What does this place NOT have?! Free kayaks to use, free bicycles to use, little row boat as well. Right on a lovely stream that leads to the lake. Wifi, kitchen, hot showers powered by solar energy, very cleaned well maintained campground. No complaints!
J.
Very nice and quiet beside a steam with tame ducks, a short stroll along the steam to the lake. Close to attractions and affordable. Would be my only stop if I had to overnight in Rotorua.
J.
Booked online, easy as, pet friendly. Smallish site on edge of creek. Our room, cheapest available, was close to toilet and showers, and kitchen above, maybe not so good in the busy season.
L.
Beautiful, dog friendly and the boats/kayaks with life vests to enjoy out on the clear stream was a lovely feat!
P.
Great place to stay if you are on a budget. Plus it is pet friendly. We will definitely be coming back here with the family.
D.
Family setting. Groups welcomed and even private chalets available. You could even bring your own tent.
On the banks of a beautiful Waiteti Stream (feeding into the north of Lake Rotorua) you can even fish (fishing gear free for your convenience n you can purchase a fishing license) on site n stroll to the lake in 5 minutes.
Free kayaks available. Yes, even friendly ducks.
Within 10 minutes to Hamurana Springs in a Redwood Forest, Fish n Game Trout Hatchery, all these places are free entry (donations welcomed).
It's only 12 minutes of leisure drive to Rotorua CBD.
Tauranga is another 40 minutes down the road.
Perfectly suited as a base to a beautiful part of Waikato

It's always a lovely place to stay, quiet and relaxing with a lovely stroll down the stream to the lake, and also Chris is a lovely and helpful person

A nice lodge, maybe the rooms are a little bit to small, but they are clean and complete. There is a nice owner, he takes time for a talk. You can use their boot for free.

The boss is very passionate and smart. His advices about where to visit and what to do is valuable. His language skill is impressing when he began to speak mouri, though i understand nothing of it .
the rom is great. Good facilities including full cooking devices.
the hotel is not far from waiotapu, which is definitely worth visiting.
M.
Great campsite! Full kitchen with pots, utensils, etc was nice. Everything was clean. Kayaking on the stream was delightful! Definitely recommend.
