G.Visited and stayed 5 years ago. Then stayed recently. Big changes which reflect inattention and aging units. Great wood interiors, plenty of space in kitchen / lounge. But window frames and exterior of unit need painting and sprucing up. Owing to Omicron service and key was non- contact and no one on site when we had an issue. Phone number given did not reply. Area around the Quality Suite is a building site. Gone is the spacious area around the suites and the feeling of space and privacy in the past. After all this it IS value for money and it IS comfortable and has good WiFi.
m.Clean, well equipped and warm.
Host is very friendly even turned on our heaters to ensure the room was warm when we checked in after dark.
Really liked having a carport to park under, the sufficiently equipped kitchen and also the shower.
Beds were comfortable enough and the rooms are very warm.
Will definitely stay again.

M.Lovely tidy quiet Villa style accommodation situated next to Huka Falls and a whole heap of other sites/attractions. I stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa with my family which had everything except an oven. Swimming pool wasn't in use but the twin tennis courts were awesome fun for the family - ask for free rackets at reception. Daily cleaning services were good, staff are very friendly & happy to help with anything.
A.The price was really cheap and great value for money. Wouldn't mind paying more if the villa was well maintained and cleaner. As it was zero degrees cold outside and heater was broken and air conditioning didn't work. Very dirty, with hairs everywhere. hair dryer was wrapped with hair. Spa didn't work. No sugar for tea.
C.Beautiful location close to huka falls and a 5-10 minute drive to taupo township. The 2-bedroom villas were spacious with a cabin feel interior. Lounge chairs need cleaning as they were heavily stained and overused. Comfier chairs would've made the stay more comfortable. On a good note, towels were exchanged regularly, a standalone villa, the free use of tennis equipment and tennis court, helpful receptionist and a peaceful environment to unwind after exploring.

S.We really enjoyed our stay. Nice and quiet location and affordable. Manager Howie was very friendly. Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. Heat pump and electric blankets were appreciated. I would definitely bring my family back again.
E.The place is nice and so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are big and the beds too. My son and daughter were enjoying running around outside the Villa. I only rated it 4 star because it was a bit dusty. Needs a little bit of dusting. My family have Hayfever and are so sensitive to dust. Was sleeping all night with a clogged nose and my kids too. But the amenities and place, I would definitely give 5 stars.
M.Disappointing stay this time around. Called reception on many occasions after check in and no answer. Few items were missing in the room, like tea towel, rubbish bags... Air con limited to 27°C and still feels cold. In winter, the room would be absolutely freezing.

G.Easy to find, reasonably priced and well maintained. I loved my little villa, it was tidy, clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect for a morning swim to deal with the heat and I felt safe staying there by myself. There are car ports attached to the villas so it is very convenient and safe to store your car there. I will be happy to recommend this to others!

C.Lovely two bedroom cottages, so cute with an awesome bath tube with jets and shower head. I must say, it did take me a little while to figure out how to switch the tap from the bath to the shower 😅 The rooms are generously large with king sized beds and tons of pillows. Master bedroom has two bedside draws, double door wardrobe with draws inside. Quite comfortable, had two great sleeps. Nice open living room, double doors to the veranda and little TV with 15 available channels. Kitchen has a stove top, jug and toaster, 6 plates, bowls, cups, glasses, wine and a bowl. You've also got a nice table there with four chairs. Sorry, I didn't get any photos, had a busy weekend and forgot all about it. Only downside for me was the 10am sign out on your day of departure. We really just wanted to sleep that day but it didn't happen. Nevermind. Wonderful place otherwise. I do recommend a visit.

E.Very nice, good value accommodation, close to town.
Accommodation comprises of lots of stand alone houses, but they are all lacking any privacy from each other, like they have all been dumped on an open field .. few trees or fences providing separation.
The pool is lacking, poorly maintained, and has no privacy from the new residental area that has just been built along side.
Still worth recommending though, for such a great price.
S.This is our go to accommodation in Taupo and we are always impressed with the facilities, service and value for money. The chalets are very cute, comfortable and private and we are always made to feel very welcome. We will continue to stay here whenever we're passing through Taupo.
A.Great place to stay with view of vineyard. Perfect for our family of 4 (2 Adults, 2 teenage girls) Lovely and private with undercover parking right by door. Tidy and clean, not overly flash but that suits us. Homely. Very handy to the things we needed to do in Taupo without being central. We felt value for money for us.
A.We stay here whenever we are travelling through Taupo, we just love the suites, they are very comfortable and spacious. Great value for money and often upgraded where possible. We are always made to feel very welcome and will continue to stay here at every opportunity.

F.Wow what a wonderful place for accommodation. The cabins are comfy and we got treated like kings. Very nice and helpful staff. We got no laundry machine in our cabin so they took our laundry at the reception free of charge. Would definitely go there again and I would also consider a longer stay there. Can totally recommend this place.
I.We had a budget room, but it was great value for money. The few thumb down points were, cobwebs and fly spots on the ceiling and the bed which had a very hard outer edge. Also the heater is a very inefficient old noisy beast. The bathroom was spacious. Water pressure in the shower, great.
The room we had was an add-on to a family unit accessed via a locked door. The units are all older wooden construction and if there was a family staying next door and they created any noise, you would hear it all. Also, at the time of our stay there was a construction site right next door and as the big machinery moved around the whole building shook, which felt like an earthquake.
The resort is an overstatement as the feel of the place is not 'resort' style, but I have given 4 stars as the price was equivalent to a bare room with no bathroom in a camp site somewhere.
You can also hear traffic noise from the main state-highway not far away. It is handy to many attractions but nothing you can walk to.
A.Taupo . Was a disappointing stay. Fan heater in room was very noisey so not much sleep had til we turned it off. Beverages below standard of other motels we have stayed in. Nice decor, bed comfy, good wifi.
B.The rooms were very clean and tidy. The view... gorgeous. We were a group of nine and rented all three apartments. The facilities were good, everything we needed.
The let down was being CONSTANTLY watched and monitored by the management on CCTV. He watched us driving around trying to find the entrance (was difficult to locate)..and he would ring me Everytime a car came into the driveway and want to know who they were.He let us know that they will be monitoring us with sensors. He was constantly checking up on us.He was very intrusive and annoying. We paid good money and we are very respectful of other people's property. He should have shown the same respect...will not recommend it to anyone for that reason alone.

S.Really clean, I mean really clean. Very friendly staff. Accommodation was really good and very comfortable. Don’t think we heard a sound from any other guest the whole week. Really handy for everything in Taupo. Will definitely be back. Perfect for us as a big family. thank you so much
R.Really lovely! Stayed one night here in a twin room. The only downside was that the heat pump only put out cold air (even on 30 degrees it pushed out freezing cold air) and there was no bin in the kitchen.

B.Great wedding venue. The little church is fantastic although may be a tad small for large weddings (above 80 people) the grounds outside the church are beautiful for photo's. Marquee on the cafe deck was beautiful. Great food and good menu options. On-site accommodation is really nice.

A.Very spacious property. Well kept grounds and the pool is a nice extra on a hot day. Also a bonus to have the Cafe opening on site again.

S.We stayed here over Christmas for 4 nights and booked the suite or apartment. It means you have a house just for yourself BUT if you don't have children you will not use it the second small double bedroom. It's just behind our living area with a normal door. And it was a really confusing situation when you think you are alone but you didn't. We had other guests in this small room. It's just to close. You will hear every single word from them. Really annoying. The windows are so old you can't close them. And after the cleaning from the hotel we had so much hairs on the floor. We wouldn't come back.
A.This hotel was in a great location and the room was an excellent size for a small family. We didn't have hot water which was an issue but we only stayed one night so it was not a major issue. Would definitely stay again as I imagine the hot water issue was an isolated incident.

A.We had a great short stay in a 2 br Villa, it was well appointed with everything we needed for a self-catered family holiday and plenty of pace to spread out in. Covered parking right at the door, quiet and comfortable. We'll definitely stay again.
N.Rooms are a bit dated. Windows don't seal properly and are wooden. This means you need to leave heaters on all night to stay warm. Wi-Fi wasn't working from my room but I told them and they said they will get someone to look at it. Bathroom floor is a bit creaky. Otherwise not bad. Very good price

J.Stayed one night in a place advertised as a 'studio'. The room was very clean, but very small. It was joined to a larger unit with our bedroom + bathroom unit separated by locked doors. Albeit, the stay for the night was quite cheap and worth if you're not staying for too long in the 'studio' room.

A.Most bad reviews seem to be around the function services. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Villa for $255NZ and it was great, so spacious, full kitchen, spa bath and carport for parking, slightly dated but then again it is a period villa, no complaints (have stayed in far worse and more expensive hotels).
Close to huka falls and main road so easy access to city centre and attractions.
Really quiet at night time and pitch black so slept well. Got some free wifi as well. No complaints, will stay here again.

A.Our studio room was not large, but comfortable enough for a short stay. The location was perfect for visits to attractions on the Wairakei side of Taupo and nice and peaceful. The grounds are beautifully kept .

A.Beautiful grounds and scenery, the view of the mountains from our room especially. Our bed was a little too firm, and the shower was pretty bad, next to no pressure and just dribbled.

A.Clean and tidy but I found some stains on the sofa and bed blanket.
P.A bit dated. No sky tv, plastic jugs to boil water. Adequate.
