K.We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on the top floor. The view from there was lovely as it overlooks Caroline Bay. Our unit was fresh, clean and attractively furnished. Beds were very comfortable . The bathroom had a spa bath and a shower that was really soothing. Front of the house were friendly and accommodating. I had to alter the booking to include more people and nothing was too much trouble for them. Although the main road is very close by it was not noisy. Handy to town, Caroline Bay and the pools. Highly recommended.
r.Bay view is maintained to a very high standard. The owner operators have helped me on many occasions!!! It’s in a great spot and I’m happy to give them 5 stars!!
C.Bay Viaduct Motor Lodge is always our first choice when visiting Timaru. Spotlessly clean rooms, great views, central location and friendly owners.
L.Booked and paid online for a 1 bedroom apartment with a view over Caroline Bay. The welcoming at reception was pretty sterile. Not unfriendly, but still pretty disappointing.
My room turned out to be right next to reception, on the ground floor, with a view of only my car and the one next to me. So much for the view of Caroline Bay. I returned to reception, but was fobbed off it felt like. Apparently the website was wrong or something like that. I was very unhappy, but I bit the bullet and returned to the room.
The Queen bed was in the lounge, and the two singles were in the separate bedroom. Would have preferred for it to be the other way around. Shower was good and it had full Sky TV. Bed was actually comfortable, and didn't hear any of the traffic on adjacent State Highway 1.
A disappointing stay, and at $170, offered no real value for money. Especially when other places in Timaru offer far better value for money.
It's a motel, offering motel rooms. It's not terrible, but could be a lot better :)
P.Nice open unit and despite been close to the main highway it's well sound insulated. Brilliant bathroom. Has Netflix as an option if you are a subscriber. Otherwise the basics are there and it has quiet air-conditioning. Plenty of on site parking and friendly helpful staff.

S.Always a great motel to stay when in Timaru especially now that they have repainted and installed heat pumps, the hosts are so welcoming and will do anything to help
G.Recently stayed here in a Superior king Studio and the room was perfect. It's close to the village and the views are lovely. The best thing about the Bay viaduct is the friendly helpful staff and clean surroundings. The shower water pressure is awesome too.

This was an unplanned trip to Timaru from Auckland at short notice, and they made us feel right at home and nothing to stress about.
The facilities where second to non. I travel a bit and nothing could beat this, heaps of room clean and well presented.

T.My wife and I stayed two nights at the end of September. Excellent service. Absolutely spotless bathroom - incidentally, we liked the shampoo and the body lotion - nice stuff that. Our studio unit was bigger than we had imagined it would be. It included a well-equipped super-clean kitchen, a really comfortable king bed and a leather couch. It was warm and cozy and everything was soooo clean! We had a heat pump plus Free wifi. Double glazing made for a quiet and restful ambiance and we were within walking distance to shops, local cafes etc. Free parking for our car right outside the unit. Our special thanks to Carol who did a splendid job directing the tricky manoeuvering of our trailer with a Lotus 7 car on board, into a safe parking area. We whole heartily recommend the Bay Viaduct Motor Lodge. Carol and her staff were welcoming and very obliging. Nothing was a bother. Thank you.

The motel is located 5 minutes walk to several restaurants higley reccomend.
