L.New owners. Fantastic people. Were so helpful. Unit 6 was so clean and fresh. Nice comfortable bed. Only thing they didn't have was to offer some sort of breakfast. But few places in the town did that.
E.We stayed here because it was super affordable and the private bathrooms, kitchen and dining area per unit for the price were exceptional.
Our unit included 2 large doubles and 3 singles split over two levels by internal stairs.
The room was very clean and tidy and had everything we could possibly need.
I spoke to the owners on arrival who were very down to earth and friendly, they've recently taken over and are doing a great job so I'm greatful we stayed there.
Thank you so much for having us, we'll be sure to stay again when we are down from Christchurch.
T.Good value for money nice staff. Back units off the main road so pretty quiet compared to other places I've stayed in.
S.The owners made our stay so much easier as travelling with our baby. When we arrived our room was warm as they had turned on heating. Room was good size, clean and comfortable. Will definitely stau again.

P.Nice enough. Limited parking and a little dated but owners are up front about it. Had to drag luggage from carpark (back) to the door of the room which is roadside. Quite inconvenient if you happen to be infirm or elderly. Other than that, was a pleasant stay with no problems.
S.Great motel. Friendly host. Problem i faced was no toilet paper when i needed. So had to call and ask which was given in 5min. Other than that i enjoyed my stay.

C.Loved our family get away here. The owners were happy for my Boxer puppy to come, although their cat wasn't in the same frame of mind 😂 owners were lovely, friendly and nothing was a problem. Definitely recommend staying here. Great location too.
C.Bit of an unusual review... so on our way home from oamaru we had some car issues and had to pull the car over, while I was under the bonnet pondering my next move I heard someone ask if everything was ok, it was Geoff from the Blue Dolphin, luckily we had pulled up right outside the motel, this man is a true legend! after running me through timaru for an hour looking for a part with no luck he then managed to fix the car to get us home. Truely humbled by the kindness and generosity of this true kiwi bloke, thanks again Geoff and Dianne, without your help we would have been in big trouble.
N.Warm clean everything you need in place if your in for a short stay, host were lovely was a little noisy
C.Place was clean and tidy and all around a good unit. The people were friendly and helpful and I can't fault them. 2 downfalls.... personally speaking for us ..... were the bed...it was uncomfortable, wasn't soft, it was a firm springy type and the couch was too low especially for my wife...just as well we brought our elephant couch raiser feet to make it higher. All in all Good

A.The owner was extremely accommodating and even suggested a different suite to fit our family's needs. It worked out perfectly! Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Easy walking to restaurants and the sports complex. A fresh milk for our kitchen and which was well-equipped. Thanks for the great stay!
D.We stayed here for 2 night for the 4's and Rotors event, staff were fantastic and friendly and best of all for us, they were patient we were anything but good guests as we ended up being very rowdy and messy. Even so, cleaned up our mess and left it the way we found it. Beds were comfy and the lounge was good. The restroom was a bit weird as it was in the "master bedroom" for the whole unit but we made it work. Thanks heaps guys for a great weekend lanlord

K.Two rainy days in Timaru thanks to cyclone Gita but we got out and about in spite of this. Blue Dolphin a comfortable, clean and cosy place to stay. Good night's sleep on a great bed. Friendly and helpful owners and so close to all ammenities. Can thoroughly recommend this Motel.

D.Hosts lovely. Very clean. Absolutely recommend staying here. Bed very comfortable best sleep so far on our long trip. Not modern but who cares when it is this comfortable clean and well maintained. Hosts abviously take pride and care in what they do.
