G.Tuakau Hotel was great our first time there but we will certainly be staying there again. The resteraunt especially was an enjoyable experience to everyone in our group with the meals that were ordered faultless. The decor is to me both a mixture of old world and modern a truly quaint experience.
T.My Aunt, myself & mum booked here in their restuarant on Sat17/7 to celebrate my mums bthday that day & mine was coming up a few days later.
My mum ordered the Seafood Platter & her eyes were as big as saucers when she saw the platter of seafood that came out for her. She actually thought she would be taking a wee tray home with her, wrong, she managed to get through the lot by not eating much of the hot chips !!. My Aunt Kathy & I had the Beef Teriyaki in a tossed salad which was too warm with chilli or a hot spice for me but Kathy really enjoyed her meal of it. We didn't have desert as a surprise bthday cake had been arranged & brought in which the waiting staff handled when it was time to reveal & cut with coffee served. Overall the quality of food was good that was ordered that day (although I should have enquired about how heated the marinade was on the beef for the beef salad due to my personal health issues) & this was not a reflection on the quality of the cooking for this dish. The revamped overall look of the restaurant's decor is superbly done with a whole wall mural of the orginal Taukau Pub back in the late 1800's & reflecting the orginal character of this place. We took bthday photos in front of the awesome mural as mementoes of the occasion. Its attached to the pub itself with plenty of space to move around, parking & disability friendly. I would certainly go back with hubby & friends to enjoy another meal there.

P.Nice tidy and clean Pub. Enjoy a nice cold beer or 2. Pokie machines on site, TAB and ATM. Restuarant there as well. Haven't had a meal there. Good customer service.
A.Hospitality at it's finest! The accommodation is clean, modern and tidy; the wellstocked bar has kept us happy for the past 2 days; and the staff have been positive, active problem solvers. We will he back!
J.Lovely brunch - large meals at very reasonable prices. Chef came to check on us and then brought out containers to take leftovers home! Eggs Benedict and Sweet Corn Fritters, yum! A nice, quiet and relaxing pub/restaurant with clean, modern decor, great staff and excellent service.

J.The Tuakau fried chicken had a strong a Indian spices spin which I hadn't expected. It was lovely and crispy and a generous serving. Instant gravy I suspect. Took a while for staff to attend. We had to seek them 3 times during lunch.
T.Have stayed here a couple of times. Comfy and clean rooms. Meals are really good and reasonably priced, I'd suggest to stay away from the entrees and desserts and stick with main meals. My experience with entree and desserts were not great but meals are worth it.
J.Stopped here for lunch today. Had a lovely meal, my partners seafood chowder looked really good and he said it was one of the best he had ever had. The nachos were ok. Would reccomend Elsies if you are passing through Tuakau
S.Great experience for mothers day (on the saturday not the sunday)! Rang up and booked a table the day before the lunch and they fitted us in, even set up a table outside in the sun. Great food! and really reasonably priced! can't wait to come back!
A.Could not recommend this place more highly. Stayed with young children, 1 bedroom apartment, huge amount of space, beautifully clean, food from the restaurant for dinner was delicious and the service was amazing.
R.What a lovely Hotel. We were away on a break staying at Port Waikato. Came back here for dinner, lovely history and historic old hotel, food and service was amazing and so was the wine. Def would not pass by with out dinning there again.
R.Helpful friendly staff, beautiful historic building in the middle of a classic kiwi town. Very well maintained, comfortable rooms and very good facilities. Eat in or at any of the local restaurants within 5mins walk. Quiet rooms and good service. I stay frequently. My favourite in the Auckland region.
c.Relaxed atmosphere, pulled pork had excellent flavours. Staff were good.
b.Stayed here for the v8s. Was lucky to get in. The hotel has been very well restored and the rooms are excellent. The bar has a good vibe and the food is excellent. And I keep coming back.

G.Visited the Tuakau Hotel this afternoon for for drinks and a meal, the hospitality was the best with all of the staff so helpful and polite and the Roast Duck meal my friend and I both had was delicious, sorry we were to full to try any of the yummy sounding deserts but the ice cold Speights tap beer and the fruit Sav Blanc were real thirst quenchers on such a hot day. Thankyou to the Staff.

A.One of the best restorations of a landmark hotel ever. Relax in a cozy bar, have a wonderful meal with friends or stay over in a motel suite. Definitely worth a visit.
