I have been staying at Totara Lodge Motel for some 4 months, for work. It is a family run business and I have been made to feel as one of the family. They have always been welcoming and friendly, happy to ablige in any way possible. The units are impeccably clean and tidy, well presented. Close by amenities is a bottlestore, pub, 2 restaurants, a dairy and across the road is the train station and across the tracks is the Trentham Race track. Upper Hutt is about 10min drive. I have really enjoyed the friendliness and hospitality they have extended to me and highly recommend them.

Great stuff and no problems except for the price

Absolute great motel! Comfortable beds, such friendly staff and the room as immaculate. So impressed to see they’re enforcing the covid passport mandate to keep everyone safe - will definitely be back!

Nice room, it's the little things like a bottle of water so you don't have to fill the jug in the bathroom etc that makes the difference. Would definitely stay again

Fantastic location, close to shops, bar and restaurante. Can be a little noisy if you're next to the entry Rd. Beside that, excellent rooms and very modern and comfortable.

Really nice place. The decor was really funky. Rooms were spacious, well set out and warm. Excellent facilities. Lovely people too.

Could not fault this....was not expecting anything amazing in Upper Hutt but was a spacious room, nicely renovated, extremely well equipped and impeccably clean. To top it off staff were very helpful. Highly recommend

A great place to stay. A bottle store right next door and across the road is the Trentham railway station. Nicely well presented rooms. Saved on my list for next visit to town.

Very comfortable stay, spacious rooms with access to outside seating area. All the amenities included, toaster, cutlery, plates, ironing board and so on. Lots of off street private parking. 1min walk to neighbouring bottle store, bar and dairy. 5 min drive to local town.

Comfy beds slept with work colleague after a few too many. Bad mistake felt guilty the next few days having to continue working with her

Internal Unit main entrance, room was adequate, though the sound barrier was less impressive. The staff were very happy to please you 😊. The adjoining restaurant pleasant atmosphere, fantastic Burger's. THEY have external units at a higher standard and less noisy. NEXT door is a BAR named the TOTE, which also provides meals especially on a MONDAY NIGHT when the lodges restaurant is CLOSED.. the train station at TRENTHAM, is across the road, walking distance. Thankyou Wellington.

What a place Staff were excellent and bent over backwards to help us. best place to stay in Upper Hutt as far as we are concerned Thanx to Bex and the staff Job very well done

Beautiful clean rooms. Really spacious. So comfortable. Shopping centres not far. If you want a train walk straight from your unit across the road and jump on your train. Great placement for walking. Amazing staff. Super friendly and willing to chat to you about any problems you have. Great services offered here. Highly recommend. So clean and easy find place. Great job Totara and it's staff

I enjoyed the stay Stayed at this motel many times before Really prefers the units at the back, which was the case at this visit. It was spacious, warm with a good shower, and a comfortable bed. The best accommodation in this area. There are two restaurants; one at the motel and another next door-good food and pleasant environment. Will stay there again.

Single room has everything you need.sky tv.was quiet until shower was turned on next room were bathroom is opposite side of wall were you sleep. Other than that had a good sleep.value for money

Surprisingly clean tidy and nice to stay in. I was pleased when I walked into the room and discovered the motel behind an upper Hutt pub to be nice. :) good work team!

Lovely big rooms with ample parking on the southern end of Upper Hutt. There are two restaurants to choose from and there is always a chocolate bar waiting in your room

The rooms were tidy , clean and great seating and bed with sky TV was really nice well worth a stay with a nice restaurant with great food

Located off the main road in Silverstream. Excellent service and amenities. Rooms are tidy, and a convenience store, liquor and bar/restaurant next door.
