My daughter loved herself for the first time going camping with her.
Everything was very clean and tidy.

C.Great place to stay. Everything is close to tent sites but sites are a little on the small side so if you take a lot of gear them get multiple sites...on saying that we found we didn't need Everything we took as the kitchen is very well set up
E.Very nice park. Level grassed sites. Tight corners for larger vehicles. Clean ablutions and good facilities also a playground for the little ones.
T.We stayed here for 7 days. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay in the 2 person self contained cabin. Just what we wanted and needed. We loved the fact the site is dog friendly and our greyhound enjoyed the peace and quiet too. The grounds are very well kept, clean and tidy and secure. Our cabin was a little chilly but it was the middle of June so can't complain too much. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and respected our privacy. The site was a short walk to the beach which was great. The cabin was well equipped with cutlery, utensils, cups, glasses, plates etc and a gas hob. The shower was very powerful. A great base location also to get around and do some sightseeing. We will definitely be back for another visit in future.

C.We just spent 4 nights here. It's a great place to be .. beach and shops all close and rsa just a couple of mins away.. the park is very tidy and well cared for.. reception staff really make you feel welcome and let us check in early due to the pouring rain and ran down to our cabin while we were checking in and turned heater on.... I would love to thank Helen for really looking after me and my husband you made our stay so enjoyable.. sorry we did t get to say goodbye... we will be back.. 10/10 service.. we will be back.. A.Such an amazing camp ground, such a chilled atmosphere and everyone was lovely, I cant wait to come back here again and stay for longer this time. Facilities are amazing and very clean. So glad you can use the showers at anytime without any restrictions.
K.Very neat and tidy campground with good size sites and excellent facilities. Showers are hot and free. Dogs are allowed. Close to the beach and handy to the RSA for dinner! Good wee playground for kids and management are very into it if people get too rowdy. Highly recommend and will return.
F.Very cool very nice little campground. Has awesome and tidy facilities. Toilets, hot showers, stoves, microwaves, washing utensils, hair dryers, is close to the beach. A little on the pricey side as far as NZ campsites go ($52 for two people for a night), but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Only a couple minutes away from the beach, this was a great little spot!

P.This Waihi Beach campground might be less well known but it's a treasure. Situated in a residential area just a hop from the beach and within walking distance to cafes, shops and restaurants. The campground is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The grounds are a flat, spacious and everyone will find a picnic bench. Communal areas are light and clean. You will find a playground and a games TV room. There are several BBQs with seating and even a huge outdoor pizza oven that is lit on the weekends. Just bring your own pizza or buy a frozen one from reception. On Saturday morning freshly made crêpes were available to buy! We stayed in the Deluxe Studio, perfect for a couple. This is a newish self contained studio with a living/kitchen area with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher drawer, small dining table, sofa, TV, heating and a separate bedroom with a queen bed with ensuite bathroom (only criticism here is that the ensuite really needs an extraction fan!). The unit comes with a spacious deck and comfy outdoor chairs. We loved it! The staff was super friendly and made our stay very special. Thank you, Beachaven Top 10!!!
A.Bit bland but clean rooms with good (basic) range of kitchen equipment for self service units. Beds comfortable, shower ok. Was fairly quiet while we were there (about three months before posting this) with mix of longer term units (many vacant) and motel units. They were replacing sections of the internal driveway while we were there. A little disruptive, but well managed and think it will have made the whole place fresher.
N.Small park, with clean and comfortable units and Helen is the most friendliest staff member I have recently met! Superb customer service and we have really enjoyed our stay, thanks😀
J.Very helpful Helen the receptionist, who gave me all the local information and where I could get discounts and hire bikes etc. The park is perfectly situated 100 metres from Waihi Beach, not far from cafes and shops and is compact, neat and tidy. I was only charged for myself whereas some places have a minimum of two which prejudices solo travellers. I would highly recommend staying here😊

S.Very nice and quiet Holiday Park with clean facilities and enough space for everyone. Beach is in walking distance. Stayed there for one night in mid November and had a wonderful night. Also very nice people at the reception. Slightly more expensive than the prices we were used to but still worth it

Badminton or other group activity. Which means children were screaming round or through every one else's camp sites. Drones should have a restricted time and not be allowed over other peoples sites. The noise and presence is intrusive. The amenities were good and generally clean but another block is necessary when sites are full. Listening to men hoiking up phlegm and other gross toilet noises is unpleasant for young girls and women. When camp not full the second block could be closed.

T.Although getting pricier, this camping ground with self contained units, cabins with shared facilities, campsites for tents and campers is very local and very well planned. Under new management so we will see.

M.A lovely clean campground, a bit tight on the corners to maneuver a 7.5m caravan around, friendly helpful staff, close to the beach

Everything here is kept very clean and tidy, from the various sites with cut lawn, to clean bathrooms and toilets, to a clean kitchen and a decent playground.
The nice thing is that there are no long walks, but all the necessary facilities are centrally located.
Two minor shortcomings:
The barrier at the entrance is only designed for normal vehicles. To enter the pin with a large camper you have to get out because the input field is too low.
The way to the different sites is also pretty narrow with a large camper.
Therefore, be careful and if necessary do not start with a camper over 8 meters.
With our 7.10 meters, it went with care and four eyes.
The price is really fair.
Overall, the campsite is a nice alternative to the Premium Top10 next door, which you should take with you, even with children (they can go swimming on a beach afternoon together - that was our solution).

Toller Campingplatz mit sauberen Einrichtungen.
Hier wird alles sehr sauber und ordentlich gehalten, dies geht von den verschiedenen Sites mit geschnittenem Rasen, über saubere Bäder und Toiletten, über eine saubere Küche hin zu einem ordentlichen Spielplatz.
Das schöne ist, dass es keine weiten Laufwege gibt, sondern alle notwendigen Einrichtungen zentral liegen.
Zwei kleine Mängel:
Die Schranke am Eingang ist nur für normale Fahrzeuge ausgelegt. Um den Pin mit einem großen Camper einzugeben muss man aussteigen, da das Eingabefeld zu niedrig ist.
Die Wege zu den verschiedenen Sites sind mit einem großen Camper ebenfalls ziemlich eng.
Deshalb aufpassen und ggf. Nicht mit einem Camper über 8 Metern anfahren.
Bei unserem mit 7,10 Metern ging es mit Umsicht und vier Augen.
Der Preis ist wirklich fair.
Insgesamt bildet der Campingplatz eine schöne Alternative zum Premium Top10 nebenan, die man ruhig ergreifen sollte, auch mit Kindern (diese können bei einem gemeinsamen Strandnachmittag schwimmen gehen - war unsere Lösung).
