Cheaper if you book with motel direct. We paid $42 extra booking travago website. The rooms are small and not laid out well. No armchairs and only bed to sit on apart from plastic dining chairs. Brown decor. That said it's very clean. Managers so friendly and helpful. Now we know what you get and at a better price we would book again.

Practical with dated but fully serviceable rooms with all you need. Suitable for kids with pool and hot tub for adults. Good parking and no road noise when in back units and comfortable beds. Brilliant showers and water pressure. Lovely birdsong in mornings. Rail trail station is close by as well. Ideal place to spend a few days exploring all the area has to offer.

Awesome stay. Room was amazing. Nice to come from Auckland to such a clean room. Hosts! Well, we couldn't rate them highly enough. Awesome people and guided us through the town. Our 5 year old loved being there also with the Pool and Mum in the Spa. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! And we will be back again. Thanks so much. See you soon!

One of the cleanest motels I have ever been in which is my No. 1 priority. Room slightly outdated, and have been done up very nicely, and I am very happy with the value received. Would not hesitate to stay there again. The staff very friendly and on the whole we had a great experience staying at the Pam Motel.

I stayed in the large family room for 3 nights and the rooms were excellent. Plenty of space for the price and there was a TV and sky in each room which was great for the kids. Very clean rooms and everything was topped up on request. The staff are warm and friendly and very helpful. Just a note for families kids are not allowed in the spa so it was hard to get away from them but we managed. I enjoyed my stay I recommend.

An older Motel, The Palm while a little worn was comfortable and clean and had all the amenities you need including a swimming pool. Too cold for Winter, but I was pleased my room included heating, a hot water cupboard and best of all in this cold wet weather an electric blanket! Yay for older Motels!

Comfortable older motel. The room we had didn't have a proper kitchen only what seemed like a make shift bench with only water access in the bathroom. Washing dishes required filling a bowl the bathroom not ideal, Still for the price it was warm and comfortable. And probably value for money

Charming Motel that offered everything you need for a reasonable price. We loved the timeless charm. The rooms have an older style look, probably looked the same 30 years ago but all clean and "part of the charm" Owners were nice and helpful. Wish we could have stayed another night but had to move on.

Clean affordable warm. Sky TV wasn't really working so had to watch rugby on my phone. Spa outside but under cover and we sat in as a storm passed over that was cool. Check in at 2 no one was at the office so had to ring up to find out our room.

We stayed in a spacious and immaculately clean family apartment. Our kids had fun in the well maintained pool. Lovely peaceful garden with picnic tables. But the best thing are the kind owners. Not only did they drive to the train station to find us and give us a couple of things we had forgotten, but they also gave me a rain jacket as I didn't have one with me. 5 stars for the motel and more than that for kindness.

Rooms were nice and clean, beds and pillows were very comfortable, couldnt cook in the unit we stayed in but they have microwave, toaster and jug in the room

Efficient. Hygienic. Close to town. Sky TV. Polished little amenities such as body wash and shampoo. Inexpensive, especially if you are staying for more than one night. Recycling! Everything a weary traveller could ask for. Swimming pool and spa pool.

Stayed here yesterday night. We were big group of people. The owners are really nice people and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They got a nice heated spa pool to relax after a long day.

A traditional new Zealand motel. Comfortable and clean. Good shower TV and WiFi. I enjoyed my three night stay. The swimming pool was a nice addition and I was able to borrow a swimming towel. No air conditioning but good ceiling fan remote system. Very helpful owners.

Nice little hotel! Continental breakfast offered for $15.00. Choose what you want and they bring it right over so it's ready for morning. Alison and Richard were very friendly and helpful! Offered laundry and access to a pool.

Lovely people who own this place. Rooms alittle expensive I felt. They are dated cut my thumb on shower attachment as it was broken. Abit noisy in the rd front units . But in the current market I understand they must have found it hard with covid. Still very nice owners.

We stayed a night here to use the cycle trail to waikino. It was the perfect spot, we could ride from the motel. Hosts were good and it was clean and tidy. Nice short drive into waihi township for dinner.

Very tidy clean and well cared for with friendly staff. Unfortunately there is an uncontrollable traffic noise that means the sleep wasnt great. Ask for a back unit might be the solution. But nicer inside than out.
