D. S.Such a great little hotel. Everything was super clean, comfortable beds, and great shower pressure. Mini fridge, kettle, cutlery, etc. provided (no microwave or stove though). Walking distance to groceries and takeaways. And the staff was so nice! Very happy to support this business - would definitely stay here again.
j. a.Ok, as a teenager I stayed in Hotels like this as I travelled around NZ with my Dad. So an old style, nicely done up hotel with super clean, large modern rooms was great. No meals, but lots of choices around town, all walking distance! (note closing times and what days things are open- you're not in Kansas now Dorothy.) Huge bed, nice bathroom, TV, quiet at night.

r. o.Absolutely was thrilled and surprised...the pub underneath is a bit old...but the motel was so clean fresh and tidy I was more than happy with our stay about 15km from central new plymouth...will def stay again

R. H.TV did not work. No soap to wash or shower on 1st day. Asked at 10 am whether they could make up my room, as I was just in shower and not booking out till next day.
T. N.showers were wonderful, had small problem with door lock and we got moved to another room great but dangerous having the fridge bar available lol.Wasnt noisy at all with the bar under our room . Great for staying the night's visiting Waitara they didnt have a kitchen for ordering food but fishnchip shop right across the street.
G. D.Recently stayed one night. Very modern comfortable rooms and ensuite. Usually stay in New Plymouth but but will be back to Waitara.
Continental breakfast was included and as I was leaving early next morning it was very convenient.
Also recommend restaurant Raleigh for dinner which adjoins the hotel property. Excellent food and service and a one minute walk.

C.As I have been 1 of the very few that have been fortunate to see the transformation on the hotel front its outdated and worse to this very nice clean beautiful place to stay the food is great and the service is amazing the beds are very comfortable and the pricing is absolutely affordable the only downside that I have with the hotel I've come to call my second home is the parking it's not a biggie at all just that theres no off street parking but I highly do suggest staying at the masonic.
