Had breakfast both mornings, the Fry up and the Japanese breakfast, both were very nice, the Japanese one just edged it for me, had a dip in the Spa outside overlooking the fantastic view, great location, just over 5 minutes walking to the lakefront, and the staff were so friendly, will definitely stay here when we return to Wanaka, highly recommend.
T.Clean and fairly comfortable, friendly staff. But, more like a B and B. Small room with adequate ensuite, no cutlery or plates, no ironing board or iron in room. Lots of noise from other rooms. Unusable wifi.
T.Perfect location less than 10 minutes’ walk from town. As the title says, we felt like royalty with such service. There is tea/coffee in the room and the brekky next day was lovely. We loved our stay here and would recommend this lodge and the Wanaka area to all.
T.Rooms are a bit tiny and does not have any views of the lake whatsoever. Hosts are the best. For that the lodge is set back in a suburban street a short walk from the shoreline and main shops but we didn't mind that at all. Very friendly and helpful greeting at reception.
T.The location is extremely quiet, an easy 10 minute walk from the lake and centre of Wanaka. Very tastefully furnished and decorated throughout with stunning art adorning every wall. Alan and Judy were outstanding hosts. Very reasonable …
T.It's about half a mile from the town centre, up a gently sloping road and is located in a residential road of modern houses. The rooms and the entire establishment were spotless. Downs stairs there is a kitchen which you can go use at any time. Fine for the price.
K.Nice place that is a bit removed from the main city area but extremely easy walk down to thesub market, lake, restaurants, etc. Great staff and free acceptable wifi. Room only had a kettle - would have been nice to have a toaster or at least access to the "staff only" kitchen to cook/heat a few meals...
T.Located conveniently close to the town centre and things related to Wanaka. Surprisingly, the location was also dark enough to capture the milky way from the room balcony. Given the pricing, the facilities were adequate for a short stay. On a side note - the (Japanese) breakfast served was delicious and wholesome.
T.Continental breakfast, home made by Judy and Allan and they could not do enough for us. We had the cooked breakfast, which included a generous and impressive spread more food then typically offered at a B & B. The hosts Alan and Judy have developed a wonderful friendly atmosphere with the very best in accomodation and cuisine.
T.In a 17 day self drive tour of NZ, Wanaka was my favorite stop and the Lake Wanaka Lodge the best accommodation. There was plenty of room. All the best for you guys. It's within walking distance of the lake, shops and restaurants. Great value for money given the peak season.
