R.
Very nice hotel. Stayed for 3 days. 2 bedrooms in our room. They gave us a baby cot for the little one to use. Washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. Very clean and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. Based in the city center, only a 3min walk to the wharf and lots of eating spots close by. Bus to the airport is across the road.
T.
The most comfortable bed and pillows 😊. Friendly staff and a great location. Bathrooms are modern and kitchen so well stocked with all you need. Just carpets very tired but overall a great stay

Want to meet some awesome humans? You'll find them at Citylife. From the minute we checked in staff went over and above. After a 7 hour drive we were met with smiling faces, ready to make our stay amazing. Our suite was upgraded, parking sorted, and that evening a knock on the door with a surprise birthday cake, card, and presents for the kids. The suite was so spacious, lovely kitchen and dining area, everything was comfy and clean, awesome for our family stay. Kids loved it, and so did we. Definitely our hotel of choice for the future. Thank you for the memorable stay team!
B.
The staff are so attentive and welcoming here! We were fortunate to get an early check in on arrival, upgrade to our room, surprise visit to our room with a bottle of wine for my birthday and a late check out! Our room had everything we needed, was clean and warm and the bed was comfortable.
D.
This is ideally placed on Lambton Quay within walking distance of the tourist attractions Te Papa shops bars etc. The rooms are clean the beds are comfortable. The heating was a bit noisy but adequate. We had a great time in Wellington!!!
A.
good accommodation, staff are great, have stayed there many times, rooms need bit of TLC as it is showing ageing.
J.
Big 2 bedroom apartment with 2 en suit bathrooms, living and dining areas and kitchen. No breakfast available at the hotel itself but you will be given a Columbus Café 15% off voucher which is useless, I paid $1200 for 3 nights so didn't really care about saving few dollars on breakfast. Floating dead ants found inside the hot water kettle lucky I checked, the second day I found that the dishwasher is infested with ants so please make sure to wash everything in the kitchen before using them even if it looks clean. Stuff were very friendly and apologetic and they replaced the kettle and sent a letter the second day with a chocolate bar, however I will not stay there again especially during summer time
D.
Beautifully arranged rooms. Very conveniently situated. The staff is lovely. No cafe or restaurant in house.
A.
In the heart of the CBD this is an excellent place to stay. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious. My only issue was there were no electric blankets and the sheets felt like ice to get into at night.
M.
Great rooms, great location, comfy stay
R.
Fantastic location. Interior is a bit tired. Staff are friendly and helpful. No car parking on site. One bedroom room we had was spacious and comfortable. The TV is a bit basic, only a few sky channels. Bed was comfortable. Location and space are the best bits.
N.
I had an impressively huge room which was a nice surprise. The hotel itself is a bit dated and seemed 90's style. My room smelt musty as if once upon a time it was a smokers room. The hallway also smell musty. Just as I got into bed at 10.30pm the hotel alarm went off and we had to evacuate to the street. My boss stays there regularly and he said that had happened there a few times while he'd been staying.
P.
Seems more like a 3 star hotel rather than the rated 4 stars. Rooms appearing dated, corridors dark and musty. Convenient location though
J.
Really comfortable setting. Quiet room, central location made it very easy to move around by foot. Would recommend to anyone staying in town for a night or two that wants to explore the city.
M.
We stayed in a 2bdrm family suite which was huge and well equipped. Checkin was fast and efficient. The room was a little bit noisy (lift shaft nearby and some metal thing clinging in the wind outside) and the rooms and hotel feels due for a makeover.
Overall fine, but not amazing.
J.
Stayed here just prior to COVID-19. It was easy walking distance from almost everything we did in Wellington. Made it easy to get out on the town and drop stuff off in the room when needed, or walking back after drinks. Room was clean and service was friendly.
Temp-parking for check in was a bit tight. Might consider parking on street and having someone run in and get the parking lot pass.
a.
Everything was super good. Did not expect it to be so good. Great and central location, close by parking, free coffee all day, nice clean rooms, we stayed in a 2 room suite, fully equipped kitchenette. I would like to specially mention the reception staff , they are so helpful, kind and ready to assist. Went out of their way to help my daughter and her husband to get the transport to the airport, and also on the last day asked me to park in front of the hotel as I had a 4am check out. Thanks guys and the lady in front. Will definitely stay with you if given the opportunity again.
C.
Gloomy Wellington weather made the rooms dark but beds were super comfy, room was clean and staff made the stay special thank you.
T.
I had a very enjoyable stay at CityLife Wellington for a weekend trip away.
Located in what I think is the best location in the city, right in the heart Lambton Quay which is a short walk to the best of what Wellington city has to offer.
The reception staff were very friendly and professional and had a lot of knowledge about Wellington, where to go and how to get there.
The room was generously sized and spotlessly clean. It was nice to see a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen. TV channels included Sky sports and movies, and there was a decent selection of coffees, teas, hot chocolate etc.
Overall I am glad that I chose to stay here. I think the hotel is suitable for both business and leisure trips and I look forward to staying here next time I come to Wellington.
S.
Facilities & service fair location awesome i would stay again however. We had three of our daughters with us 9, 11 & 12yrs. They have staid in different hotels in Wellington over the last three years i.e. Featherstone & Cuba Street and they liked the locations for good access to shopping and the variety of eating places. They particularly liked Lambton Quay for shopping particularly for young women clothes, make up & jewelry thanks Simon
M.
A great value but...
Location was ideal, situated in the heart of CBD Wellington. Parking is reasonably priced and very accessible. The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was quite spacious especially for the area.
The only downside is that they need to maintain and update the units. The sofa was replaced by two stained arm chairs, one of which had a broken base and the dishwasher didn’t work.
Overall a great stay and we were still very comfortable, just needs a little more upkeep and would get 5 stars :)
M.
Service was great, friendly and polite. Bed was so comfortable. We couldn't work out how to use the heat pump but there was a good heater, so we used that. We were on the third floor and there was only a bit of st. noise around 12-1. The furnishings were nice and barhroom great. The only thing that let it down for us was that the cleaning could have been more thorough and the bathrobe needed a belt.
A.
Very hospitable. The front desk manager was incredibly friendly, and very helpful as well. The rooms were newly renovated and beautifully done. Very clean, very elegant. Location is perfect for newcomers and tourists, everything you need is minutes away. Great experience 10/10
R.
Good sized room and very comfortable bed. Location spot on handy to everything.
J.
Feb2021: What a mid city surprise. Great room. Staff really helpful and really polite.
FYI no parking on site, it's at the WILSONS car park in Boulcott St. approx $27.00.
M.
Average. Room smelled like curry, cleaners didn’t replace all the towels and did a pretty average job of cleaning the room, room just felt and looked really dirty. Small wall heater sounded like a freight train trying to pull my sister, was noisy all night. My official rating is... meh.
D.
Stayed for one night with friends, was our Mama on the loose night out thanks to our partners for giving us the night off, everything was great except for the receptionist was not as friendly and you have to pay for car park. We had the 2 bedroom suite which was around $370 for one night, location was acessible to everything if your wanting to explore the city, close to everything, very clean and spacious, the bed was nice and comfortable.
N.
Good location and great serviced apartments. Was weird turning up and having a big air blower in our room, the bathroom had water spillage issues. Will be back again for the next work trip.
C.
Booked online, arrived on crutches and staff were so thoughtful. Nothing was too much. Perfect place to be if you need to be in the city without having to drive anywhere. Beds were extremely comfortable, rooms very clean, highly recommend as a great place to stay in Wellington. The downside which has nothing to do with the Hotel is the water is very chlorinated and I miss an open window and fresh air but understand that this is difficult. Everyone there went out of their way to make life easy, thankyou!
P.
Good size rooms
Unfortunately there was a false fire alarm and building evacuation at 11pm the last time I stayed.
N.
Excellent stay! Staff very friendly especially the French? gentleman who served us when we arrived.
Complementary room upgrade was warmly welcomed.
Pricing for room service looked ok compared with other chains i have stayed with before.
Renovations look like they have started within the complex so it will only get better.
Highly recommended and would stay there again.
L.
Great place to just stay for a few days and see the areas and places around Wellington.
The place is in the city so there's a lot of shopping centres, cafes, and restaurants all walking distance.
Beds are soft and super comfy to sleep on and the rooms are spotless and clean. Will stay again.
E.
A good place to be. Situated in the city center, you can do the most by feet. Personal at the receptiondesk are very kind and helpful. We had a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and living room. Breakfast is CONTINENTAL. (could be some more choice)
M.
it has very good rooms. enjoyed my stay. only problem is the parking.
R.
4 stars.
All of these points go to CityLife’s luxurious central suites. Local to...everything. The suite was very nice and well-kept with modern and comfortable spaces.
This is on the pricey end however. And it felt a bit pompous.
But hey, if you’re traveling from afar, it could be a nice luxury to stay for you.
R.
Pretty ordinary despite the glamour pictures. The units are very roomy and would be good for a family. Arrived on a very cold day and the unit was cold and no heating evident. Finally found some small heaters which had very little impact.
It is handy to town and the cable car.
s.
Great stay, super friendly and candid staff on site, knows everything from fixing air-con to set up high chair, super incredible. We stayed at a 2 bedroom, it was spacious and reasonably priced. Building a little old. Would stay here again in the future.
N.
Really enjoyed my stay at Citylife. It was comfortable, clean and the staff were really helpful. I was happy to see the efforts made to reduce risk of covid. Location was very convenient.
K.
Great customer service. The rooms are everything you pay for and a little bit more. However we didn't bother with the room service or breakfast buffet, they are not worth the expense. Otherwise we were more than happy with this hotel EXCEPT for their parking facilities, or lack there of.
W.
Fab room for our family of 4
C.
Great staff ,very helpful .comfortable bed .Central for everything. Opens out onto Lampton Quay. No in house restaurant but receive a discounted Colombia coffee voucher.
C.
Great place for a girls weekend away! Separate rooms definately needed for all our luggage. Small kitchenette good for pre party drinks.
Location couldnt be better! Countown subway maccas sushi and retail stores right at your door step!
J.
Great location, spacious rooms would definitely stay again
A.
Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Easy access to the Wellington Cable Car, Te Papa and the Harbor. Even though the hotel was in the middle of the city, everything was incredibly quiet at night.
V.
Helpful and friendly staff. They have limited parking within the premises but for a cost per day they allocate a car park space in the Wilson's parking located opposite to the hotel. The hotel is centrally located in Wellington and is in town. Access to the hotel reception and check-in is via Gilmer Terrace. Once keycard is allocated you can start using the enterance of this hotel which opens into Lambton Quay. Countdown, Wellington Cable Car (to access the Botanical garden and lookout) and various other shopping/restaurants are all in walking distance.
The apartment allocated was large with two large bedrooms. It was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped and also had a small drawer style dishwasher. The apartment also had a washing machine and a dryer located in a cupboard next to the kitchen. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was large in size.
We would certainly come back again and highly recommend it.
m.
The customer service was great and friendly. However i felt mislead. i was told that there was parking right outide hotel and next door with easy access. Upon arrival i found this not to be true the parking out the front is ridiculous and limited if you drive in the only way out is to reversein a very tight space we watched people struggle with this our entire stay. as all those spaces were full we were given the option of parking across the street those too were full so we were given the option to park up the street in a parking facility that was also full. parking was the let down.
besides this evrything else was fine. loved the beds. was cosy and comfy. unfortunately because of the parking i wouldnt stay here again.
I.
Nice hotel..but pricely like the rest of the hotels in the city. Very convenient for a travelling family as there is a Countdown next door where you can rush in your pj's in an emergency.
R.
Great stay, close to all amenities and plenty of room in our 2 bedroom suite.
K.
Great location, friendly service and beautiful rooms. Lots of local info provided in the room. Only downside is limited on-site parking but there is alternative parking close by.
G.
Clean and sizeable this was a good place for a weekend away. Good location. Would come back to stay here but not great if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place for a couple.
R.
Location great for Lambton quay and Willis st shopping . Rooms are nice and fairly quiet as the place isn't in the pub night club end of Wellington.(about 10 to 20min walk to Courtnay place).
We stopped in 3 or 4 bars on way to Westpac stadium .(about 20 to 30min walk to stadium without stops).
D.
Great location but rooms are a little dated, especially the heater/air condition units. Limited parking available onsite so first come first served.
P.
Most obliging hosts and very nice roomy apartment Couldn't fault it Would stay there again
M.
Very happy. Great location. Parking was a breeze. Friendly and helpful staff. Ticked all the boxes.
S.
Excellent stay. Comfortable and clean. Caring and helpful staff. A great place easily accessible to shops, buses. Highly recommended.
M.
Good central location. We had a 2 bedroom which provided tons of space. Has washer and dryer in the unit. Big plus.
K.
Nice rooms. Large and clean. Handy location
P.
Great room, but the parking is horrendous. I booked through Expedia and there was no warning about how to find the place - took almost an hour of driving around in heavy traffic to figure it out. Ultimately, had to get out and ask folks on the street. :/
N.
Great location near shops and services, close to downtown. Comfortable and spacious rooms, tho parking can be tricky and make sure you enter via Gilmer Terrace - Google Maps takes you down to Lambton Quay entrance!
k.
Lovely hotel in the middle of Wellington, close to everything. Incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. Room very comfortable and clean. We will be back!
T.
Pretty good, clean apartments, decent size. Awkward reception location for taxis and Ubers. Location is excellent.
a.
Great hotel. Great staff. But disappointed with car parking. Dark and you don't feel safe
T.
Nice and central to town a bit of a mission to find reciption bathroom is a wet room with no handy plug for shaver or hairdryer full kitchen facilities as well as washing machine and drier.
S.
Great service. Perfect location. Large apartment.
A.
Beds were super confy, great location. We found dirty towels in the washer and kitchen floors were sricky.
E.
Very flash and in the best place for proximity to shopping and Government Departments. Lovely staff. Clean. I got a pretty good deal for 4 ppl.
M.
Really nice apartment style large rooms. Great location in the heart of the CBD with a short walk to the waterfront.
G.

R.
Great center city location to get out and about. Staff is very professional and courteous. Would recommend to friends and family. Booked on Orbitz from the states which was easy and with no hassles
t.
great place . quiet and really comfy bed. superb location and really lovely staff
L.
A really nice hotel. Bang in the centre of the city near all the shops, and a two minute walk to the harbour. Really big rooms/apartments with kitchens.

P.
Very nice
V.
Very comfortable family rooms. Central. Walking distance to everything in the city.
F.
Location is very good in the middle of town with easy walking access to everything. Unfortunately the continental breakfast is not that good but the price might explain it.
H.
CityLife it was fine, realistically good value for money. Unfortunately 2 vehicles were broken into during our stay.
T.
Very pleasant. No kitchen sink! And internet should just be flat rate built into the room price.
W.
Nice clean and big room. Good location if you like to stay in the right of the city.
A.
Easy to access everywhere by foot, parking arrangement is poor, decoration is a bit old but room is big in downtown.
C.
We had the best experience! And my kids as well, the girls in the Reception are great!
D.
Our go to Hotel in the Capital, fantastic location, and the rooms off street are surprisingly quite for a inner city Hotel. Larger than standard rooms too!
T.
Amazing staff who noticed something dodgy outside our door and called us straight away! Such angel staff looking out for us thank you so much xxx
P.
Our family have stayed here many times always great service
D.
Handy to everything. Great hotel. Very clean. Great housekeeping staff
D.
Good hotel centrally located. Basic breakfast lets things down.
S.
Huge suite with everything you need. Great breakfast and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful.
P.
The hotel is a bit tired. The worst part is the woman serving breakfast let's all the food run out in an almost intentional fashion.
Z.
Great location. Helpful staff. Spacious room. I couldn't have asked for more.
M.
Parking is ridiculous but we had great service and a fabulous 3 bedroom suite.
R.
Excellent location, excellent room plus extremely helpful staff. Everything was first class.
M.
Excellent location in CBD, well appointed, only slight issue is the car parking arrangement 100m down the road. Otherwise an ideal city pad
L.
