K.Good place to stay. Although I missed a water tap in the room. Had to wash cups in the bathroom.

B.Room was run down and dated, but comfortable. Carpark was small, and when I left there were 3 vehicles not in marked spots leaving no room to turn around forcing me to reverse out onto a usually busy road, thankfully not so busy at the time I left

g.Stayed two nights while in Wellington for work found the stay at the Marksman very relaxing and room very good. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Also very close to city centre and local eateries.

E.Nice One Bedroom unit. No AC so the fan provided really helps, but still I could wish for better ventilation. Nice bath with shower and adequate kitchen. Good internet. Parking lot is crowded but we always found a spot. A wall of windows on the entrance side of the room limits privacy, if you want the light. It is a little far from downtown for a comfortable walk.

M.Clean, comfortable and free parking. The staff were friendly and helpful on check in. We looked at a range of options across Wellington but ultimately decided on staying at the Marksman, primarily based on price. Very happy with this place, above standard on cleanliness and amenities. Nearby Chinese restaurant is excellent.
M.I can’t rate this place highly enough,
- booking was simple and easy, we did ours over the phone, they even gave us a better price!
- location is central and easy to get in and out of.
- room, clean (really clean!), clean sheets, mattress protector, pillow protectors, great heater, full sky channels with excellent tv, tea, coffee, and all the usual items, little slippers, toothbrush and paste, soap and a bloody awesome shower!!
To top this off, a wonderful sleep on a great bed.
My one and only comment is that the walls are a little thin so if the neighboring room is loud you may hear it a little, but if you travel enough you carry ear plugs for just this sort of thing.
B.The woman at the front desk was quite grumpy and looked tired of us. But other than that the rooms are very cozy and good showers. Also included with tea, coffee,hot chocolate.
T.Loved our overnight stay...room was very warm and accommodating with wheelchair accessibility. Easy stroll to Te Papa and one of the main strips of Wellington. Will definitely stay here again👍
M.Great location. Rooms are comfortable with Sky TV for entertainment and news. Bed was comfortable. Tea & coffee provided in room and replenished daily. Breakfast option available. Has car park available on a first in first served basis. The road around the Basin Reserve is noisy but closed window and door shuts out the sound. Staff were friendly. Internet available.
J.Having travelling around New Zealand, South and North Island, this was probably the most hygienic, safe, friendly and comforting motel/inn I have stayed in. The living and kitchen is very nice with normal essentials provided. Having booked in for 5 people the sofa was turned into a bed, which could have been slightly more comfortable due the framing. However the every thing else was great and off high standard. Especially the bathroom which had a very large bath with bath foam provided. Would definetly stay again however parking was the only issue. Would probably give 4.5 stars due to parking but despite that 5 stars for sure.

R.Stayed here for one night and it was fine. It's a basic room that I think is fine for a short stay. Didn't spend much time in the room but it was clean and had everything you would expect. It's close enough to walk to restaurants which was nice as it is situated on a busy road so driving out of the place during rush hour may require some patience. Overall its basic but clean place to stay.
n.Went into this motel to ask directions to Wellington College and the extremely kind gentleman at this motel allowed us to park our car there as it was easier to walk. Thank you so much, your kindness was most appreciated

S.Had a wonderful stay. We booked in for 2 days as we were on a road trip all the way from Auckland . Very close to the city centre and pretty much has all you need for a nice comfortable stay . The manager was extremely friendly and hardworking as I saw her juggling multiples tasks at once . Enjoyed our stay . (Family of 3 . Hubby myself and our 4 year old) . Thanks!

N.A fairly basic but comfortable motel on the outskirts of Wellington. Easy walking distance from the city and close to the airport. The room was well-equipped with cooking area, sink, cutlery and crockery, a bathroom with a shower and wc, and a comfortable queen-sized bed.
There was a heater, which was useful as it was quite cold when I stayed, and a TV with Sky. The wifi was free and quite fast. I would stay here again.
M.Clean, updated decorating bit older fixtures. Rooms are very spacious. Separate queen bedroom with twin and pull-out bed in living area with full-service kitchenette. No views and on a main roadway, so traffic is pretty noisy.
n.Clean, tidy rooms with comfy beds & kitchenette. Shower cubicle/pod a little small but did the job. Parking on site which was great. Approx a 1klm walk into Courtney Place restaurant/bars area. Would return.

F.What we loved about this place is the fact that we can just walk to a number of attractions. The most interesting is the Miseum of NZ (around 25mins walk) and you will be by the Wellington Waterfront Walk in a seconds. Love the walking as it was still winter and the windy weather really made it a pleasure walk. The place is also a thrown away from 24hr McDonalds but not sure if its safe to walk to McD at night alone as the building and its surroundings can be a little bit intimidating... The nice part of our stay was the fact that the room was on the ground floor and next ro the reception area. We arrived very early in the morning and as our room was still not ready, we spent time walking around the place. Around 11am, the hotel called and informed us that the room is ready and the have helped with our luggages... will certainly come again
