Reviews of Quest On The Terrace
Room was spotlessly clean, staff super helpful and friendly. Really can't state that enough! Totally commend you on your front of house ladies. They were the best.
Great location and everything was easy.
Dated one and two bedroom apartments with a mix of long term tenants /owners and short stay overflow managed by Quest. West facing apts have views of Tinakori hills and motorway. Chose a higher west facing apartment if it is available. Quest has a reception in the entrance. Good location mid Terrace with access across the road down to Lampron Quay.
Very clean and wonderful staff, have stayed twice recently
Room small but good for the price..didn't get her name but receptionists was lovely 5 stars 🌟 to her was so helpful
Great location! Apartment was fine but building looks tired. Shower is great. Facilities are fine. In a small room you'll have everything that you need: stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle etc...even wash machine and dryer.
We had an issue with the bedroom...we booked double bed and it was 2 single. Staff solved the problem changing sheets...not exactly the best solution.
Someone smoking in the hallway in front of our bedroom was quite annoying.
Bed was not good. Mattress was probably worn out. It made very uncomfortable to sleep.
Parking costs extra $25 a day and it's not in good conditions. Very tight spots and there was scaffolding around making parking a bit of a mission.
Great location for access to CBD sights. Apartment was well equipped, shower was great. Clean and tidy. However don't even attempt to use their parking if available, it is too small to maneuver anything bigger than a bicycle, weekend parking is great at Clifton car park a 5 min walk from the hotel
Tiny apartment but well appointed.
I don't think the room was designed for a king sized bed.
Almost everything you'd want was there.. even salt & pepper !!
TV was poorly placed.. only one person could see it from the bed, and there really wasn't room to move the single armchair anywhere else.
Amazing beautiful private apartment on the terrace, prime real estate, central Wellington and amazing staff.💙😊
I had an excellent stay at this hotel with my friend. We stayed for 4 nights. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and great. The staff are friendly and welcoming, they are willing to help in any way. I do recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in Wellington.
Stayed at this location for 8 weeks this past winter on business.
Location is good, not great. Few restaurants in the area are open in the evening or on weekends that are not in a hotel. Easy walk down to the Lampton street once you know the secret passages. Easy walk to parliament.
Service was excellent. Room cleaned very well and the front desk staff helpful and friendly.
Room was clean, but more than bit grim. Queen bed only allowed about 6 inches between bed and wall on one side. Drapes were dark brown, did not fit on rod and did not block much of the light from The Terraces road. Same old brown not fitting drapes on the other windows in the apartment.
You can heat up a takeaway meal, but cannot really cook even something simple.
Only one heater in the apartment in the hall meant that I could not close the bedroom door at night and have the bedroom warm.
OK place if you are booking for 4 to 5 nights but would not recommend for a longer stay unless quest makes a major renovation.
I stayed here on a Sunday due to its close proximity to the training center where I had an exam on Monday. The room was well-equipped with a kitchenette, awesome coffee machine and a small fridge. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. There was a step inside the room, but the staff kindly pointed this out during check-in (note to self: don’t text while walking in unfamiliar rooms 😂).
The bed was a bit firm for my liking, though the linens were fresh and clean. Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning was noticeable, and the fan didn’t effectively cool the room. There was some street noise, but that’s expected in a city center.
The location is convenient, with several restaurants within walking distance, and the train station and public transport nearby. I chose to park at the Clifton Car Park after reading other reviews. It was $34 for overnight parking, compared to the hotel’s basement parking at $25. I gladly paid the difference to avoid potential issues, though this car park was quite busy on Monday morning.
Our stay here was good apart from the dryer not working and the squeaky floor.the helpful young woman who help us with our bags and greeted us with a smile was what we need after a long 7 hr drive .thank you.
The gentleman that was on reception was an absolute delight. He allowed us to leave our bags prior to checking in, as we arrived early morning. When we did go back to check in, he had taken our bags up to our room for us.
He was so happy and we had a good laugh with him.
The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure AMAZING!! My partner wanted to take the shower home.
An added bonus having a washer/dryer combo in the room.
Great location, with many shortcuts down to Lambton Quay.
Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed at these serviced apartments overnight on a recent business trip. I was impressed with my room, which had a clever and nifty layout. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had great pressure. I didn't like the heated towel rail right beside the toilet, and there was quite a bit of traffic noise through the night, but for a short stay (or a sound sleeper) this is a good accommodation option.
Amazing staff, super friendly. Kept our luggage early before checkin and after checkout for the day. Very helpful staff. Rooms are quite compact but great for the price, nice and clean.
Great location but the rooms have a bit to be desired. Parking is a pain if you don't reserve any limited parking thru Quest. Not sure I'd go back. But I really like other Quest locations.
Rooms were clean and tidy.
Receptionist was lovely. Best service in forever.
No food on site.
Not very modern, great location to central Wellington. Well priced for location as everything walkable.

Just 5 minutes from Lambton Quay Street where we can find almost all required for everyday needs: Bus, convenient store, Mc Donald, electronics, bank, restaurant, etc. 700m from railway station. Staff were helpful, nice, open for conversation. I arrived in the midnight yet no difficulty to enter into the room. Washing machine, air heater, electric stove, spoon, fork, knife, etc are available in the room.
Tidy and practicable. Had everything I needed. The lock safe to get your key was broken and open so luckily my key was in it. I arrived late and would have been stuck otherwise. The apartment wasn't clean but otherwise everything was great. My stay was for a one night trip for work the next day. Be careful there are stairs in the room. Despite a sign I still managed to sprain my ankle
Only issue if you're in town don't walk up the 184 steps to the Terrence get the lift up through the James Cooke hotel
5 stars for the front of house staff, couldn't have been more helpful and lovely. The 2 Room apartment was perfect for our brief stay. Shower and beds excellent. Added bonus of being non-discriminatory
Should be OK, but very tired and broken.
It IS clean, but needs a hard refit.
Clean and fresh - new carpet, new couch, pristinely-white bed linen, new bathroom fittings, good strong shower - bit tight for space but for the price, good value.
The Clifton carpark nearby is a convenient place to leave a car, with a daily capped charge (all explained by Wenwen on reception, who was very friendly)
Great location for access to CBD sights. Apartment was well equipped, shower was great. Clean and tidy. However don't even attempt to use their parking if available, it is too small to maneuver anything bigger than a bicycle, weekend parking is great at Clifton car park a 5 min walk from the hotel
The place is tiered and considering that the accommodation was $200/per room you really wonder what these places can charge. The hallway smelled like a kitchen floor and the furniture/bedding is damaged and very, very old … running this place under the Quest umbrella is brand damaging…
Arrived and no one in office. No WIFI code incorrect and when i tried to ring office phone would not work. Used my own phone and contact person said they would call me back that night. Got a returned call 10.00 am the next day. Toilet had a drain in it and it smelt foul. air conditioning unit really noisey so had to turn off then stinking hot room .
Staff was really nice and location is really convenient as you can one of the many lifts that take you down to Lambton Quay. There is also unlimited wifi which is much appreciated. However, main and biggest downside was the quality of the room, mostly probably due to the age of the building but there was no controllable air conditioning, the window facing bedrooms are very humid, to the point where the bedding feels kind of moist to the skin. The windows are also paper in this hotel, sound insulation is not great, especially annoying in Wellington as it gets super noisy when the wind picks up. Amenities are also ok here, shower is a bit small depending on the room you get, and the shower head is not removable. Otherwise a good experience but points mentioned made sleeping in here quite uncomfortable for me.
I was disappointed that this non smoking room smelt strongly of stale cigarette smoke. I would confront the previous occupant/smoker and charge their credit card. The manager needed to take steps to get rid of it, such as putting some vanilla essence in saucers around the room and opening some windows at least.
Lovely apartments by Quest.
Rooms are spacious and have all the amenities one needs like a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron etc.
The family room is a double bedroom and is spacious enough to not feel cramped up and has a cosy common area with heaters for the harsher winters. Fans are also available inside the room in case of a warm Summer.
Parking is provided on the upper floors behind the building.

The location is really good. The accommodation experience is amazing we wish we could stay longer.
Had a very enjoyable at Quest on the Terrace while on a work trip to Wellington. Martin and Andrew on the front desk we're super friendly and helpful while I was there. The room was very clean and had a fully equipped kitchen from Plunger Coffee (a must for the early morning meetings) to cutting board and quality knives. A few hours after checking out, I realized that I left my Drivers Licence in the room and Wendy on the phone was very helpful and within 10 minutes, they had located my card. True Lifesavers!! Location is also perfect, close to downtown (10 minute walk) and has free overnight parking in front. Will stay again!
Hotel is nice, as is every Quest. Nice stylish rooms. Major issue is road noise, which is infernal. No sleeping without ear plugs! Balcony door was also little bend on our room, so even more noise will come in.
The room was lovely and clean, the staff very accommodating and the bed extremely comfy. Only down side was it was very noisy at night...the location in the CBD allowed us to walk to all Wellington city 'must see' attractions.
A little tired and dated but clean rooms friendly staff and cheap prices make it a worthwhile stay
Superb location. Clean. Comfortable. Warm. Easy.
Attentive helpful receptionist, facilities fine. Will stay here again

(Translated) Reception very friendly. The hotel is a bit old. Currently being renovated from the outside. (If it was helpful, thumbs up).
