Stayed at the Rydges during our weekend trip to Wellington, and we were greeted by a lovely young man at the front desk in the morning. I believe his name was Sam, and he was just fantastic in letting us check in early and also offering to hold onto our bags so we could explore the city even after we had checked out. The room was nice and the free breakfast was fantastic. Thank you Sam and the Rydges for making our trip more comfortable. Would definitely book again, next time we are in time

Great location and hotel. The biggest asset it has though is it's staff. Friendliest helpful staff I've encountered at a large hotel. Breakfast is very nice, I would like to have tried the restaurant but time didn't allow. I will be returning
S.
Great central place to stay. Staff were very helpful, kind and thoughtful, from the person who parked the car, the young man who carried our bag to the room, the receptionist who answered questions she's probably been asked a thousand times and the woman who got me coffee in the morning. Thank you.

The location was excellent, shops and food places are in walking distance. The reception staff and room service were super polite. Only problem we had was the cleaners. The room wasn’t clean. Microwave was disgusting, dust everywhere and beds poorly made. Shower isn’t great either. The shower head kept slipping out of place, and the water pressure was very low.
K.
Staffs were not that welcoming. Room is quite small. Bed was comfy and the overall place was clean. I visited during school holiday so there’s lots of children around
T.
I did struggle with this review as it was what I needed for the week and the staff were lovely. I ordered room service twice and for the price the meals were disappointing. The bathroom was 2/5. A good scrub of the whole bathroom would soon fix that. Special concertation on tiles, glass (shower and glass wall) and even the shower head was grotty. If that was cleaned properly then the water pressure may well improve. Also perhaps update the nonslip stickers in the bath this could prevent injury to any future guests. The sliding door to the "balcony/ledge" was extremely hard to open, I actually thought it was jammed shut for about an hour till I gave it a good yank!

Awesome place. Hadn't had the opportunity to venture around Wellington too much in the past, but we had a fantastic experience.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the room itself was well looked after and good quality.
Nice touch with the free mini-bar too, something you don't see everyday high end accomodations providers. Well done👏👏
Z.
staff are amazing and went out of their way to cater to my high special needs son. they were professional, caring and high level customer service.
the view was amazing, the room was comfortable and affordable, the beds were a dream to sleep on.
A++ reccommend to all
L.
Convienently located, plenty of off street parking surrounding the hotel after hours and the staff were friendly. Beds and pillows very comfy. They offer a $10/night credit to your account if you choose not to have your room serviced which is handy if you don't require daily servicing.
C.
Good value, centrally located, TV control battery dead, bathroom not properly cleaned, carpet in hallway dirty and worn out - this recently new property needs an update. The old heat pump in the room wheezing and very noisy and annoying! But aside from that, their Portlander restaurant is stellar quality!!!
A.
Some outstanding staff, I hope you get to meet them. Well appointed rooms. Attention to detail lasting. Broken coat hangers with protruding nails just waiting to snag your clothes, you have been warned 😀
T.
To whoever the manager is, please congratulate your staff for being so amazing! I have stayed at numerous accommodations from bay of islands to dunedin and can say the service and friendliness from rydges wellington have surpassed my expectations. No doubt I will be back and will be recommending. Hands down the best place I have stayed thus far. Thank you and please continue this standard. Beautiful!
S.
Great location and within a few minutes walk of good restaurants and bars. Rooms are comfortable and modern. The Hotel gets busy at check in time and there can be a wait. Great staff
P.
I was plesently surprised how much i liked this hotel.
I was expecting just another run of the mill city hotel,.... But actually it is well positioned within the city, very clean and tidy, and still very modern.
Great place to stay.
K.
At first we were a bit disappointed with the service as we have stayed a lot before however the manager was great and sorted the issues and made sure things were put right. The food was great as always and suite we had was worth the money plenty of room for baby to run around. The rose bud cocktail was the best
J.
Buffet was great and great pool service definitely would come again manager is very helpful all around would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit wellington
l.
Staff very very friendly and helpful. Our deal came with buffet breakfast. Starts 7.30-9.30. Bacon mushrooms plain scrambled eggs toast jam mueslis hash browns cereal yoghurt to name some. If i wanted a coffee i had to pay. Other buffets around the country this is included. If you wanted a fried egg or poached egg they brought it to you by which time your bacon and hash browns were cold! On last morn THEY decided to change from buffet to ar le carte. Same menu except pancakes were removed. I ordered the dish with hollandaise sauce. The base was hashbrowns with bacon and two poached eggs and sauce and it was lovely. It was hot
The unit....best beds and bedding ever!!!! However the cleaning lady (an indian) that we spoke to doesnt know what we meant when we asked for a teatowel. She offered roll up disclothes then toilet paper!!! There was no removal of bathtowels daily but we were given fresh ones each day. The freezer in the fridge hasnt been defrosted for weeks. We couldnt use it. Im a motel cleaner. Fridge and defrosting is done everytime ppl leave. Rubbish wasnt collected by this woman either despite our sign on door asking for service to be done. Again this cleaner let you down. Beds werent made cos she never came to see the sign on our door! Rubbish was only emptied on first morning by a man and lady who was doing the services. Some things werent expected by us considering the staus of this hotel. Would we stay again ..probably. Parking is a big issue and expensive. Usually included in south island

We have been lucky enough to stay at The Rydges, Wellington. While we have also been lucky enough to get a discounted room - the service was / is exemplary.
The staff are all amazing - they really know their roles. Even though we are completely biased towards one of the baristas, we did have coffee made for us by Sam, and it was also top notch.
The food has been beyond compare. Our first night in the restaurant with our adult children... our waiters were Oli and Alex. Such excellent servers - good natured, competent and knowledgeable. We couldn't find fault with any part. We could only manage 2 courses, and were very glad that we weren't required to order dessert at the beginning as we were all quite stuffed.
Breakfast every day has been a joy. From drip/barista coffees - to the generous portions served by Ethan and Charlotte.
We also enjoyed a fabulous toasted sandwich through room service, for our evening in.
Last night we partook in the Portlander Potluck. I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone, to share in this delightful spectacle. We were served again by Oli and Alex, and they are quite a good team. The smaller servings were an absolute must. There is no way possible for two people to manage such fare, if full sized meals were given. We were already on the verge of popping. The first course with the ciabatta and crudetè were delicious (I would love to know the recipe or supplier of the house pickles!), the Palliser Bay lamb, and rib rack were so succulent, the cress was a perfect foil. The next course of 21 day aged steak with a roasted garlic sauce, the Port wine jus and mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes with truffles, and the Ceasar salad would have been a wonderful finale if that's where we stopped, but the Chef's finished us off with certainly the best dessert trio there ever could be.
We were very happy to be able to thank the team last night, before we wobbled away from the restaurant.
We we glad to be able to walk up to the second floor, before taking the elevator to our floor.
So, as I sit here across from La Marzocco, alternating between my second, perfectly made soy latte and an oj... I believe that this weekend has been quite perfect.
Many thanks to all of the staff, including house keeping and reception. They are all quite perfect.

Cons:
Stayed two nights and appreciated fully no buffet breakfast as part of the deal and had to have room service given L2 restrictions. 1st morning both rooms only got 1 x breakfast delivered despite ordering x 4 inc vegan . The vegan breakfast however, when this came was basically 2 pieces of toast ,. Mushrooms and broccoli so was left. The other 2 breakfasts then delivered after error raised .
2nd morning despite being confirmed the night before that they could do a vegan breakfast being a simple beans on toast but when delivered was mushrooms on toast so again left as not wanting this at 9am ( last serving).
Both nights had to buy vegan breakfast at a cafe.
Both rooms faced a large advertising screen on the adjacent building that shone bright colours into the bedroom and the room creaked with the wind
No bathrobes or bottle openers.
Tv remote would not respond to the tv and Asked for this to be fixed which they did but sane remote and same issue the following day so didn't bother with it .
Shower : not the beds pressure .
Pros
Bed very comfortable bed and very clean room.
Portland bar was comfortable and nice food.
Staff very polite , courteous and responsive although some lost communication between them for the vegan breakfast that we received a call night before to confirm beans in toast for our vegan friend.
Nice pool, spa and sauna ( although) we had to get someone to let us in as our card keys would not work .
Able to leave luggage and the late check out was a bonus
During one of our drinks we all had to evacuate the hotel due to a emergency and staff professional. Left our drinks and had to stand outside in gale force winds but this could not be foreseen.
Overall would stay again but would try and get different rooms and not go for the breakfast
S.
The girl at reception had great customer service! Wished I managed to grab her name. Room was perfect, the bed is so comfortable. It was great having the snacks and drinks available (even with paying). Room service and food was great!! I love that it’s next to the train station. Overall a really really happy customer and definitely coming back here.
K.
Room service was good, buffet was great. Full of options pastries, pancakes, meat, w/ all the sides - fresh and cereals n muesli. Def recommend
Clean, and the option to save on room service. Something you might want to check …
K.
Amazingly helpful and friendly staff. Clean, well equipped and modern rooms. Extensive guest facilities on site. Only downside was the bed wasn't super comfortable
P.
Expensive for the room we got
A bit more cleaner could be appreciate
The mattress and the breakfast are the good point
And the staff as well
F.
Great staff, helpful and nice.
Room ok (getting old, heat pump noisy)
Because of Covid19 breakfast is not the best !!! Luke warm breakfast sausage dry and over cooked, bacon not hot and so is the poached eggs ( normally buffet is the best).
Sorry to say but Rydges let me down this time !!!
T.
Up market hotel located in downtown Wellington. Not far from parliament, the train station, waterfront and Lambton Quay shopping. There's a decent bar and restaurant on the ground floor.
S.
Very confy with an amazing breakfast, pool was awesome as well
P.
Absolutely beautiful 🤩 place to stay wish I stayed more than one night I had breakfast included and wow such amazing staff Victoria I think her name was she was absolutely gorgeous always checking we were okay when we had dinner I didn’t care about the price as the presentation and amazing helpful clean and tidy staff were so accommodating Victoria was a star she deserves something special all your stuff do but wow
C.
Customer service was great as well as most of the amenities. Easy to go to restaurants along the harbour front. No free parking like most hotels otherwise you gotta drive around the corner to the parking for $25 a day and walk 5 minutes back to the hotel or park on the street and keep roping up the parking metre. Valet parking is $30 but wasn’t necessary for my length of stay. My room was good but had dust in some parts and the bottom of the curtain between bathroom and bed was filthy.
B.
Hotel service and communications great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Recommend this hotel highly. The portlander restaurant was disappointing both in service and the undeclared minimised covid dinner menu when reserving through the hotel - Check this if booking during covid!
R.
Beautiful tidy rooms lovely atmosphere nice restaurant and friendly staff also central to waterfront and shops
K.
Lovely hotel easily accessible and nice, clean rooms with city or sea views.
L.
Room was clean and tidy and the big enough for two of us. Very nice breakfast. There was no hand soap. Light was bit deem.
The price was bit high. Good location. The location was very helpful for us. The staff very polite and friendly. Thanks
C.
Room was not the view we asked for ....was moved with no fuss.
Thankyou.
Restuarant is 10/10.
Breakfast....go for the this option with your room - best breakfast buffet I've ever had in NZ.
Pool good
sauna- read instructions on outside to turn it on.
Spa...NEEDS ATTENTION- heating, surrounds.
Gym....don't bother with theirs, get the chit from reception and go a block to an actual gym.
Lovely staff.
100% to the room cleaners
J.
Nice, tidy, comfortable hotel. Portlander restaurant for breakfast was appalling with huge queue, long wait and limited selection of foods. Would not return.
J.
This place is Ok. staff not that friendly other than room service staff (the young peoole who delivered fresh milk and food )
The house keeping staff are not great in replenishing complimentaries... and we ran out of tea constantly.
Still it is central, clean and the beds were lovely. However, One of my pet peeves is having the shower over a bath At close to 70...this is not a safe option and there were no rails to hold onto to enable getting in and out of the shower safely...so not great. Might be a good Idea to check if people are comfortable and or capable of climbing into a bath to have a shower.
C.
Hey a great anniversary time last Saturday mean breakfast on Sunday can't wait to come back here omg I can't forget the harbour view
A.
We stayed for 4 nights. Loved our time. Would have loved a room with a bit more of a view but the place was lovely and clean and beds comfortable too.
C.
We did like our room at the Rydges Hotel. Good facilities and comfortable bed. However bed did have a winter duvet which was far too hot.
We were very disappointed to find they didn’t cater for vegans at all in their restaurant after being assured over the phone that some vegan choices would be available. Maybe it is time to add a few options. Otherwise a lovely place to stay with harbour views.😊👍
K.
Harbor View? Well, half ... maybe. We were in room 1205, but still we have part view only. I was surprised since we had paid extra to upgrade to a Harbor View!
but ..... if you sit in the chair by the window, and face it just so toward the harbor then you can enjoyed it! From bed however - blurgh.
Staff were all wonderful, very helpful. Breakfast was great - get an omelette with no extra charge which is So much better than the scrambled eggs. Coffee is good.
Amenities good. Bed quite comfortable.
Just be careful of your expectations for a harbor view room when you pay extra. Ask some questions before you book
E.
Hotel nice enough staff really friendly. Pool and sauna area need a bit of TLC.
S.
Lets just say for 200+ a night, I would expect a bit more. On arrival the remotes to the AC & TV were not working, these were remedied efficiently with a very friendly manager providing a drinks voucher for the inconvenience. The rooms however, need a freshen up. The carpets are deteriorating, visible dampness issues in bathrooms (no fans), which caused the whole room to steam up. Parking is always an issue in cities. The hotel carpark was full and luckily an alternative was just around the corner. We did not trial the restaurant.
P.
Great room, staff were Fab and had a great dinner at the portlander
H.
Our stay was good to say the least. We had already booked & paid for our accommodation on line so upon checking in we were then stung with a $150 bond that we weren't expecting or told about. Our room was decent, however, we were there for 5 nights and not once was our linen changed during our stay. There was a daily room service but again our toilet paper was not restocked and we ended up having to ring reception. There was a long strand of hair in the fridge so cleanliness was not top priority. Also in the information book in the room clearly states that each room has a mini bar but not ours. On the upside the Valet was great always had our rental car waiting out front on time everyday. The Restaurant & Bar facilities were amazing. The food was delicious and the location was handy & close to everything. Within walking distance.
We would be happy to stay there again.
A.
Well I gave it a 5 star because I’ve stayed here a few times and I’ve seen the service and quality improve each time. Tonight Shannon looked after us. She’s a star , great service , excellent recommendations re food choices. We’ll be back.
Allan Scott
D.
My only complaint is the smell of the cleaning products that lingers in the room without much ventilation. It isn't overwhelming, but it is pungent. The good news is you know when they have cleaned your room.
h.
If you visit Wellington I suggest you to stay in Rydges specially if you are a family u will be enjoying your holiday
J.
Attended Conference, good facility, great location.
K.
Good rooms - kettle, toaster, microwave, cook top.
Pool was on the cold side.
Breakfast buffet could do with refinements to ensure inclusive of people with dietary needs and food restrictions but could find something to eat to meet all needs and they would bring out non dairy milk upon request.
E.
We stayed here for one night. It was a nice place to stay.
The valet parking was very convenient.
We were really happy with the room service. They were super fast and the food was amazing! Everything you need to have a relaxing night away 😊
S.
Was our anniversary lovely room with a bathtub.
Bed are sooo comfortable and relaxing.
Ordered room service..took a while to answer but guy was friendly despite them being bizzy...i ordered the fish and chips and hubby ordered the Cheeseburger...both tasted great except the chips were cold left them a note on the trays and they rung our room and offered us free desserts which was so nice.
Buffet breakfast was amazzing always a must to stay and get the breakfast deal. I Always ask for the poached eggs so good...cant stay anywhere else 😊
K.
Decent hotel to stay. Clean rooms but won’t recommend hotel. Poor service. We waited for 15 mins to get seated first and then waited for another 1 hr for our mains after having our starters. Well they send some the main dishes and some not when we ask one of the staff who took our order she told us that she forgot to tell chef about that. Then again we waited for 30 mins still no food arrived and we ended up having McDonald . No apologies from staff and also was weird to know that they had no veggie options. Not convinced at all from restaurant service other than that hotel was great.
S.
Friendly staff. Clean quiet room.
Specifics:
Drop-off: very busy, my taxi had to double park to let me out.
Checkin: big line. Ended up going to the bar for thirty minutes to wait until it shorted only it never did! I was there at about 5pm so maybe that’s their busy time.
Room: felt a bit dated but clean and quiet. Included small sink, cooking plate (but no cooking utensils), toaster, kettle, selection of teas and coffee, TV with sky.
Facilities: nice heated indoor pool and spa. Very small sauna (fits 2 people just) and the gym was completely hopeless. An exercycle and running machine which take up the entirety of the approx 5 square meters of floor area. Not enough room to roll out yoga matt or do stretching. I met another person checking it out who took one look and headed for Les Mills.
Free fast wifi: download at 290mb/s upload 320mn/s.
Restaurant: Breakfast buffet quite limited in selection and expensive $32 for what it is. I didn’t try dinner there.
Staff: super friendly and helpful😊😊. Definitely made my stay pleasant.
M.
Nice place good food nice pool and sauna , will come again
T.
Good hotel, tidy facilities
J.
Stay was a really good price (for 4 people) and included a buffet breakfast which was great. Bed was comfortable though If you like thinner pillows you will need to ask.. the defaults are rather large. Room was tidy with lovely views. Kids loved the pool.
S.
A good hotel , well positioned in the city. We had a very nice room that met all expectations. The lady that took care of our room was excellent, Sharreema I think she is really an asset to the hotel, Simon in the breakfast service however should consider another job where he is not in contact with customers he was not pleasant. That aside we were very pleased with the hotel overall
S.
Check in wait a bit long but to be fair the hotel was fully booked that night. Customer service was friendly and efficient Great room with harbours views. Clean room although someones leftover McDonalds drink left in fridge. No minibar or treats for purchase. Great beds. So comfortable. Pillows soft and varied. Heating took a bit to sort out but once sorted the room warmed up super fast. Cooked breakfast not as hot and varied as normal. Great customer service and wait staff at breakfast though.
B.
Had a great stay here.
S.
Awesome hotel - can’t fault anything except the hotel bed is little small. Hotel has indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna room and small gym facility - very handy and suit everyone’s need. We enjoyed our stay there and will be back for sure.
A.
Lovely place and central although not enough reception people at check-in. Will need a refresh to decor soon. Great food options in restaurant
M.
Fantastic service, immaculate rooms and great pool, sauna and spa set up!
Great if you need to be central to the train station, or are attending wellington armageddon expo- will definately be booking again!
N.
Very nice place to stay, easy walking to train station and Bluebridge ferry and stadium. Fantastic cooked breakfast. The only downside was having the shower over the bath.
S.
Shared a twin room Plenty of space and the beds are so comfy Tidy and clean The only downside was that the shower is over the bath with only 1 handrail to hold onto also the lighting is very dim Not too good when applying make up Staff were friendly and helpful The breakfast was great Lots to choose from Only problem...couldn't try everything!
L.
Generally a good hotel with very clean and comfortable rooms, the pools could be maintained to a better standard but the lap pool is a great length for exercise
D.
Clean, tidy, comfortable and real nice up to date decor rooms and very friendly staff. Great location with everything in walking distance within the CBD. Would recommend to anyone if you are wanting and nice place to stay in Wellington.
D.
Great stay Everything was perfect!
Great modern Hotel all the facilities you could imagine. A+++
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK RYDGES OUTSTANDING EXCELLENCE
L.
Arrived, no where to park for checking in, and when checking in, no parking available, so had to park in another parking building, a few minutes away. Went to have drink, cost $26 for 1 wine and 1 beer. Ran out of wine so got half glass of wine and had to pay for a full glass of wine, NOT IMPRESS. Went for meal, was nice but very expensive. This place does have a nice atmosphere if you are prepared to pay a high price for the experience.
R.
The room was comfortable and the room service was top notch, however the customet service was lacking. It took us 30 minutes to get ahold of reception even though the hotel was basically empty and the guy who brought us our food, seemed agitated, angry almost.
N.
The good: location, next to the train station and walking distance to the Parliament, Te Papa (20 mins) etc.
The bad:
1. a premium is charged for a room with a city view. If you get a room on level 8 it's a waste of money. You literally look into another building, that's all. We expressed this concern and was moved to a room on level 12. To be honest the premium isn't worth the view. See pics.
2. We got a room with a HOB as travelled with kids. It's frustrating there was not a single pan available. You had to request these. Makes the experience hard
3. The room was not made the whole day. You're out for the whole day and the expectation is the room is cleaned and made. By the time you return. The house keepers turned up at 4.30pm to make the room. Makes the experience hard especially with kids.
4. The room wasn't super clean. Lots of dust on surfaces. There was mould on the bathroom door - see pic attached
5. The check-in was a cumbersome experience. It was busy when we arrived, we had to queue up and took about 30 minutes. Makes the experience hard.
6. Our room was booked for 4 occupants. But only 3 towels were there. Makes the experience hard.
7. The housekeepers didn't replenish body wash. Had to specifically request and wait to be delivered. Makes the experience hard after returning from a days walk with young kids
8. The service isn't efficient. We had to follow up on our requests. For example at check out, we asked for the coincerge's help with the bags. Only arrived 15 minutes later after a reminder.
All in all not the best stay. Unlikely to return.
P.
Restaurant staff very bad with one staff member leading over one of our party to give a meal to another
Two of our part got cold main course
Then two of our party got some other parts food
A.
Booked 10 days before. Confirmed 2 rooms side by side. Arrived not the case reception not at all helpful until i asked to speak with duty manager. I wont stay there again staff don't smile except the cleaners. Lovely overworked ladies. 2 nights 2 rooms overpriced. Sat in lounge to watch rugby along with others and a drink. No volume because not all patrons like rugby....🤪
N.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were really friendly. Top class service
Restraunt downstairs was great also.
D.
Stayed at Rydges for three nights and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, made so by the fantastic staff who work there. From the front of house staff, the restaurant staff, room service staff, everyone was friendly, efficient and courteous. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food on offer. When I asked for soy milk it was promptly delivered, definitely staying again!
D.
Great stay. The restaurant was packed for breakfast with families. Well done to the brekkie staff for their great warmth and outstanding service.
u.
Beds comfy room was nice food outstanding, only thing to let it down was the noise as AC
G.
I had a night here on a whim when I was passing through the city, the staff were very kind and upgraded my room to one with a beautiful view of the harbour.
All amenities and facilities were as expected, it's a shame I couldn't stay longer to enjoy the full experience.
T.
The service is great, as usual. The food is lovely, as usual. The bed is so comfortable and the suite is fantastic. We have been here several times before and we will definitely be back. Thank you!
C.
Went for a conference, which worked well (tho others in small room beside our larger one found it a bit noisy). Nice venue but rooms pricey.
S.
This place is fantastic. The breakfasts were amazing and the rooms were always beautifully clean. We stayed a couple of days and loved every minute. My only gripe is the parking. We were told to bring our car out front to discuss parking only to be told once we were inside that there was none and to move our car. Just the little things.
E.
Awesome we arranged early checking and got it. Room clean and tidy. Not ideal if you have your own car. However close to everything. Our room was very hot when we returned as we opened the curtains and hard to cool room quickly as air con was weak.
J.
We stayed for 3 nights in a superior king room. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy, and the room was serviced every day. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking along the waterfront. The staff were friendly. The only negative was the sky tv signal kept cutting out which made it difficult to watch a film.
D.
Top notch service and really good facilities. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Free WiFi and pool, spa and gym were a really nice bonus.
F.
Amazing room, friendly staff and good foor, definitely recommend by me
c.
Nice modern tidy rooms, great views of the city...soft comfy beds.
Friendly helpful staff...great stay!
K.
Great room..great parking facility..breakfasts very good and popular..very central
Y.
Don't go for the breakfast. Years ago I stayed here and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The rooms are looking a little tired now and check in is slow. The breakfast isn't the same, pancakes are disappointing. The chef is more focused on room service orders than breakfast service. The price for accommodation is a bit high for the experience.
D.
Harbor View? Well, half ... maybe. We were in room 1204, so one from the end of our building floor facing the harbor. Maybe the room on the end - 1205 I think - had a bed that faced the other direction, but ours faced almost entirely to a view of a building under construction!!! I was surprised since we had paid extra to upgrade to a Harbor View!
but ..... if you sit in the chair by the window, and face it just so toward the harbor (opposite the bed direction), and close the curtains a bit on the construction side, then you get quite a lovely view from this one seat of the goings on about and on this portion of the harbor. I enjoyed it! From bed however - blurgh.
Staff were all wonderful, very helpful. Feels like they are a bit understaffed, and working Very hard. Breakfast was great - get an omelette with no extra charge which is So much better than the scrambled eggs. Butter is cold and hard as a rock - always. Coffee is good. Oatmeal is superb.
Amenities good. Bed quite comfortable, but had two separate sheets top and bottom of quilt - that, of course, got all gobbledygook and one ends up snuggled next to quilt from who knows who the night before. Answer to this is to turn down the a/c and put the quilt in the closet. The bathroom mirror had a section that did not steam up - very cool! Shower massage on shower head was nice, but bathtub a little clumsy for shower.
Just be careful of your expectations for a harbor view room when you pay extra. Ask some questions before you book.
A.
We have had a wonderful stay and a breakfast each day very good
Rooms are very clean
Staff very friendly
L.
Enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. Lovely staff, well equipped modern rooms and definitely the best cooked breakfast we have ever had at a hotel! :-) We recommend getting a room with either a city or harbour view if you are staying with children as ours spent a lot of time looking at the views out the windows and we think that was worth the extra money that these rooms are! :-)
D.
I have just stayed the weekend. The room was great. I only problem was from waiting to get serviced for our breakfast was a hour and a half. We arrived at 9am and left at 10.30am.
C.
Top notch. The service from front desk, room services and food department was impeccable. We stayed over during the Xmas period, even though they were busy, service was always up to standard. We had Xmas dinner here and it was simply exceptional. Breakfast was included for our stay. We loved the selection they had especially the healthy shots of juice. Loved our rooms. Very central to alot of things. Walking distance. It even made me sign up to they club membership.
M.
Very central hotel but parking or lack of near entrance frustrating especially in peak hour traffic. Build next door noise till 8pm inaccepable. Rooms really nice but additional lighting in main area would be nice. Restaurant fantastic. Hand rail at foot of bath to assist getting in and out of please.
l.
Staff were great and friendly. Room was clean, great service.
L.
Lovely room with a view of the harbour, clean, very comfy beds! Great restaurant too.
C.
Just good all round. Nice and quite in your room at night, everything clean. And tidy and fresh. Restaurant is often too busy but you eat the food you'll know why. Great steaks. I liked the room service Caesar salad too.
A.
I'm attending a week long training course at this hotel. It is a good place for a training course. The hotel is in a good location - being close to the railway station. The place is modern and pleasant. The catering has been good too.
The only negatives are that there is no affordable all day car parking at or near the hotel, and the standard coffee served to course participants is rubbish. You have to buy the "proper" espresso coffee.

This is a higher end, cost wise hotel but lacking in detail. The good: great location, great indoor pool, spa and sauna facilities especially in winter.
The improvement:
1. I was in a room with a small kitchen. There is a chopping board but no knife. There is washing liquid but no drying cloths. So is the hotel not encouraging you to use the kitchen but provide half the facilities?
2. The heating system that is temperamental to switch on, noisy.
3. Room service - my came with a salt that has nothing in the shaker. Could have check it before bring it up to the room.
R.
Stayed for one night at the hotel. There was no valet parking available even though it was only 2pm and we were told to find on-street parking but we'd have to move our car every two hours. The room was a reasonable size and clean with a comfortable bed. The kitchenette was cramped and hardly usable. The room was a disabled-access room which is fine but the shower was very poorly designed so you ended up with water all over the bathroom floor unless you only let the water dribble out of the shower. The buffet breakfast had a good range of food of reasonable quality.
M.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Rydges. The room was clean and welcoming and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The hotel let’s itself down with little things like check in/out times and cleaning in the bathroom but overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.
M.
Good sized rooms, tidy and comfortable. Great location close to city and waterfront. Good selection at breakfast. The hotel was very busy and had to queue to check in and out. The staff were brisk and efficient, perhaps too busy to add that extra service that would have led to a 5 star rating.
L.
Spent the night here with my partner. Receptionist upgraded our room with a balcony for free and view was amazing! Breakfast buffet was so good too. Staff were friendly and very professional
l.
Great central location. Rooms are a bit tired but are kept clean. Gym is pathetic and not added as an amenity. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful.
D.
I have stayed at Rydges countless times for business purposes and have never been let down. The rooms are excellent - I have stayed in basic rooms as well as top-floor balcony rooms and all are great. The balcony rooms/higher in price could have better general facilities (TV) but other than that I have no negative feedback about Rydges whatsoever - excellent hotel for comfort, central location, great restaurant on the ground floor... what more could you want!
B.
A view things could do with repair... In particular the air con in our room... Otherwise a very pleasant stay
E.
Nice room, clean and tidy. Average food. Surprisingly found kitchen with cooktop and no pots/pans to cook. Too dim lights. Couldn’t get to anyone on the phone - reception, room service, housekeeping - for over 20 min twice a day. Room Service can be improved, took an hour for a steak. Bathrooms are not very clean. Night reception guys are awesome and friendly tho - bright side :)
T.
Nice buffet breakfast. Our room had a kitchenette and a safe. The room was clean and the bath room was big. Shampoo and conditioner containers were well labelled. The on-site gym was very small, but you could ask for access to a local gym. The location was good. The beds were good.
C.
Our family and my partner and myself love both coming with the children as well as ourselves. The service is outstanding and they most certainly go the extra mile and a little bit more. This is like a home, everything is so close that we need, a supermarket across the road, macs round the corner, train station across the road and delightful reception staff 24-hours a day housekeeping is top-notch and their buffet breakfast is outstanding most definitely highly recommend.
J.
From the time we entered the hotel, the staff gave us a fantastic family experience. They were so accommodating in letting us not only check in early, but also allowing us to have a late check out, as well as letting us store our luggage at the hotel to collect after an event we were going to.
The food is exceptional and would highly recommend eating at the restaurant. Breakfast had a great variety of food and drink, and is one of the best buffet breakfasts that we've had.
Location is perfect as it's so close to everything and within walking distance.
Our family really enjoyed the use of the pool, spa and sauna especially in winter in windy wellington. Added bonus for the kids too was the use of the kids games room. They really enjoyed themselves even though the 'Wii' was not in action.
Room was great with all the amenities that you will need. We had a great harbour view and the only downside would be the size of the beds, felt too small...although I must say the beds were very comfortable.
Overall, we definitely had an absolutely positively amazing experience and will definitely be back.
Highly recommend this hotel!
P.
Attend conference and stayed the night.
Great facility for conference. Rooms were clean, tidy and great furnishings.
Food was ok, a little too a la carte for me at times.
Staff were all friendly and well presented.
Would recommend for personal stay.
I.
We booked this hotel because our regular hotel was under renovation and to be honest the room and breakfast were better and so was the price ! Nice hot spa also, as well as a nice lap pool. Not much of a gym at all, but most hotels don't have decent gyms anyway. Joined the reward program and will stay there again. Highly recommend to book a carpark with the hotel also of you are driving. Street parking is quite expensive .
I.
very impressed with the staff. Food great, room great, but the quality service and friendliness was the feature. Made up the room later in the afternoon at a time that suited when we went out for a bit and left the "please make up the room" sign out.
Only slip up was not a problem for us, but a couple of mini bar items were not replenished or charged, but we disclosed those or the charge might have been missed............ or you might have chased us down the road
T.
We had a balls up with the check in. Apparently they were short staffed so we had to wait 2 hours before we could go to our room (lobby wad full with others in the same situation) not ideal with a 5 month old baby that has just come off a flight. No free drink or anything offered either which was a bit disappointing.
Anyway, the hotel itself was good. Rooms were good. Beds were pretty average mainly because they were so small (double). Bathrooms were great and shower pressure was awesome and all the mirrors had antifog things so didn't steam up. Minibar well stocked.
We used the pool/spa twice which was nice and never busy. Great to have fresh towels down there too. Only thing is you exit the lift for that level straight into a room that they use for conferences so both times we had to walk through other peoples events which wasn't ideal. Especially walking back out all wet.
Breakfast was awesome!!! Totally worth adding it on. We were very impressed. Great selection and constantly getting refilled. You can have eggs, omelettes and pancakes to order and a decent selection of hot food, pastries, yogurts and museli and cute glass jars of juice, flavoured milks etc. It was busy but we never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table. The staff were super friendly and helpful too.
There is a deaf guy that we encountered several times dining around Wellington that just walks in and puts these plastic things on all the tables asking for money. Such an invasive and annoying way to do it. The manager was good trying to usher him out.
T.
Lovely room on 17th floor, no complaints. Awesome corner view, beautiful. We were able to make use of the pool and spa and were the only couple there (picked a good time) which was lovely. The best bed we have EVER slept in after a 10 1/2 hr train journey. The only complaint was the room service meal. Very expensive burnt meat patty burger and some burnt chips 😐 Lovely fish but burnt chips in partner's meal. Would've given 5 stars if not for that.
K.
Room was tidy and was a great place to relax after busy days exploring the city. Room didn't get serviced properly though with the bed not being made even once for a 3 night stay. Buffet breakfast was nice but the info about the hotel wasn't clear. Room service was good.
l.
Nice room with adequate kitchen area, just ask for more pots if you need them. The bed was comfortable. It is well positioned for the beehive and a 10 minute walk from te papa. Tip, if you are travelling with out children and you fancy a swim go early morning. Staff very helpful.
D.
No complaints, compared to other other hotels in the same price range Rydges is spot on. Good size room for a overnight stay or couple of nights. Parking is valet only which isn't a drama, very quick to get your car from the parking.
#.
Room had quite a few things that made it good but some that missed out on. I. E. Bathroom was slightly laid out weird and aircon didn't work as great, had a really hot night.
Either than that, breakfast was great and service pretty decent
K.
Nice room. Comfy bed, good breakfast. Room had nice view of city and really big and spacious.
Only thing I would suggest would be to get different heater/ aircon. It’s very loud and right next to the bed. Apart from that, lovely stay.
T.
Great stay! room nice and clean breakfast brilliant! Staff very helpful! Would definitely go back!
M.
Third stay at this hotel in past 12 months always enjoy service and food at The Portlander this time served by Olivia who was happy and provided excellent service regularly attending to our needs
This visit i left in the room a Samsung tablet reception staff made it so easy when I phoned to see if it had been located, a huge thank you to housekeeping staff that handed it in and to reception for couriering it to my home address
M.
We loved our time here. Me and my friend were always greeted with top service. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We had an amazing view of the city back to the beehive. Was great knowing your stuff was safe too. Nothing had been touch in our rooms. We had good room cleaning services to. Well done.
R.
Breakfast is soooo good, mattresses are a bit soft but fine. Found some rubbish in my room but no big deal. Close to stadium and other cool things. Did i mention the breakfast it was good
K.
Stopped here for buffet breakfast. $64 for two people, which I think is a little expensive for what is fundamentally egg and bacon. We went at 0900 and it was packed. I ordered poached eggs and by the time they arrived my breakfast was nearly eaten. Tables are close to the food and very cramped, so you end up bumping into others. Not much room for young families. Food was good, staff helpful. Unfortunately we won't go again.
R.
Excellent! Stayed for one night and this place was great. Good size rooms, comfy beds good size bathrooms. Breakfast was also excellent - very good selection and good quality food constantly being topped up. Well located so within walking distance of all the mains areas. Lots of restaurants and bars all within 15 minutes walk.
A.
The room was great, the harbour view was fabulous, bed was comfortable, location was great, however the noise of the air conditioning unit in the room was terrible. I have never stayed anywhere with such a noisy unit. I liken the sound to the constant engine sound on a long haul flight. We did turn the unit off on the second night but in the end it just got too hot so had to turn it on again.
Wanted to love the stay completely however would be unlikely to stay again just because of this.
P.
Friendly staff, multilingual for my German & Te Reo speaking friends. Comfy rooms, a menu for everyone's palate with an amazing carnivore dinner selection of succulent beef at its best!! Mmm mmm. So very, very good!!
D.
Good hotel, bigger room than standard. Great facilities with pool, sauna and cardio room and good service. Room service not that good
W.
Always excellent service, immaculately kept rooms. Only reason why I would mark down slightly is due to mains on the menu not being served with veg/salad, they are additional. Otherwise food definitely tastes and is presented good. Keep up the good work Rydges.
M.
Whenever we visit Wellington, our go to Hotel is Rydges in Featherston St and we always enjoy our stay but we just wanted to make a special note about our recent Stay from the 5th Feb through to the 12th. We rushed down to Wellington and booked into Rydges at very short notice, then due a death in the family, needed to extend our stay - the staff were absolutely lovely and very accomodating in many ways which made a difficult time just a little bit easier for our family. Thanks guys!!!
T.
Room stunk of cigarettes. However they did move our room promptly. There is no signage for parking, nor a driveway etc to pull into. On checkout there were pricing issues with expedia booking
K.
We made a last minute booking through a booking agency and were very pleased with our choice. This was our time at Rydges and we were very happy with everything that the hotel had to offer.
Our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable, the staff were very helpful and polite, there was car parking available for us which as a definite bonus . We will absolutely be back.
O.
Great place. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Meals top notch
M.
Not up to the usual standard. Staff awesome as usual but some room issues. Heater not pumping out much heat and very noisy, room service didn't want to answer last night but may have been busy as they are usually on the ball. Something rattling outside my window in the wind all night so not much sleep oh and the hot water has been dialled back so hot shower isn't as hot as I like it
m.
Workers were nice. The rooms were a bit small. We asked for 2 adults +2 kids and we got 2 double beds. Not very good for 2 teens and 2 adults. Let's just say it was a squashed night.
B.
Have stayed here a few times and service is always good. You can have your car valet parked and it will be bought for you promptly when needed. Very comfortable bed with usual hotel offerings. There is a bar if you fancy a drink at the end of the day and the buffet breakfast is reasonable with plenty of choice. The bus drops you from the airport quite close to the hotel, about a 2 minute walk from the stop. Being in the city, it's only a brisk 15 minute walk to the museum
r.
Such a clean room. The beds are comfy enough to crash to after a long and tiring day. Plus the shower is great. Big space for a room
K.
This hotel saved us when we had an unfortunate experience at our previously booked accommodation. Hotel was super helpful with letting us use their phone, good wifi, rooms were clean and cozy. Walking distance from the city centre and the docks. Great spot 👌
L.
Because of friendliness of the staff the great room service we loved the breakfast the room was so convenient we very much enjoyed our stay
C.
Great hotel with most of the facilities and a great location. Views from the hotel rooms are a bit disappointing and so is the... Gym. A cycle and a treadmill does not constitute a room being called a gym. However that being said the lap pool was a descent size. The size of the gym is also laughable.
There are no cooking facilities in the room i stayed in but they do have a very capable restaurant. There are also rooms for conferences.
J.
We stayed here a few months ago, love it. The breakfast is divine! The rooms are pretty comfy and the location can't be beat. It's so close to everything there is to see in Wellington. Will definitely stay here again when I 'm back in the area.
G.
Good mid quality hotel. Three and a half stars really. Rooms are clean and quite well appointed - ours had two hotplates and a good sized fridge. It's starting to look a little tired, especially the bathroom. Good location for the government end of town. There is a lot of traffic noise (we were on level 7). Portlander restaurant is very good and does meat well, and the breakfast was excellent value at $20 for the cooked Big Breakfast.
F.
Convenient location in the city centre, very comfortable beds, immaculately clean rooms and facilities, nice bar and good breakfast service. Only downsides are the noisy heatpump in the room and the dismal view from the rooms at the back of the hotel.
R.
Stayed on a Family Therapy Package. Everyone very happy. We all enjoyed the pool, spa pool and sauna. Supplies in the room were plentiful. The breakfasts were just amazing....ate far too much :o)
C.
Good location. But no compendium or information in room regarding restaurants or entertainment in the area.Room still not serviced by 5pm.Lots of other choices in Wellington
L.
Rooms quite small for a King Deluxe or whatever it was called. Kitchenette poorly equipped. Bath in room handy. Pool/spa area awesome, kids loved it. Pre booked parking very steep at $50 per day. Great location for train station, westpac stadium and beehive.
F.
Nice hotel and great location. We stayed 2 nights and our room met all our needs. Was disappointed however that the sauna was out of order...that was the main reason I chose the hotel. Also found the valets took forever to get our car and we gave plenty of notice when we needed it. Also surprised to see the takeaway coffee cups from the restaurant weren't eco friendly or compostable which is disappointing.
K.
I had a pleasant stay at Rydges this week as the staff were nice. They even offered to keep the luggage for few hours without any extra cost, which was exceptional. But with the food there weren't enough options being a vegetarian in the breakfast. The baked beans were off in flavour and that created tummy bug. While when I enquired about dinner vegetarian options I was told the restaurant is meat based only, so won't have anything catering my requirements. So good to stay but will do the food outside next time.
N.
Have to pay for carpark or look for another one around city
R.
I'd say this is a four star place but I had a three star experience. On arrival at 2pm was told valet was full, go park on the street. Oh but street parking is busy and you have to move every two hours. Room was an accessible room but not well designed so shower splattered all over the bathroom and kitchen lacked most stuff it needed. Otherwise was clean and breakfast was good.
S.
Nice room, good food, comfy bed as you'd expect in a nicer Hotel. Good coffee...no complaints other than the spa pool being out if action but thats just one if those bad luck timing things im sure.
H.
Everybody is friendly, professional and efficient.
Facilities are clean. Bed is soft and comfortable with clean linen.
Room service was good, delivered by a happy young chap.
Breakfast was delicious.
The lady at the checkout was excellent. She suggested Te Papa museum with Gallipoli exhibit.
Thank you everyone for a very pleasant and relaxing weekend 👍
S.
While it was extremely busy becos of WOW and it being school holidays I didn't appreciate the price gouging. The room was average -shower over bath, one teaspoon, nescafe coffee, and one easy chair for 2 people. Definitely not worth $340 per night. Won't be back.
P.
Great room and excellent service. Refreshingly good compared to many other NZ hotels that strip it back to the basics. They could not do enough. Location is excellent.
K.
Easy access to town, vallet service ($30 a night), great restaurant and tavern in the lobby. Very clean rooms, large soft beds, plenty of pillows, and nice furniture and decent space. My room had a fridge and a hob as well.
M.
Lovely breakfast, clean, neat room just a bit small for family of 4.
A.
Room was fine and bed was comfortable, however myself and my partner seemed to have new bites on our ankles every morning which was concerning. The breakfast was nice, but what put me off the most was the parking situation, we called in advance and we're told there was valet parking, but on arrival we were told we had to park in a lot around the block, the place was kinda dingey and I didn't feel comfortable leaving our van there, plus if we forgot something from the car we had to go around the block to get it. Same situation with the gym, it was advertised online that there is a fitness centre at the hotel however it is just one treadmill, one bike and a few dumbbells and if you want a full fitness centre they provide you with a pass from a gym in the city somewhere. It just seems like if you want what's advertised you actually have to leave the hotel to get it.
P.
Used as a conference facility. Large conference rooms with good AV setup, good catering and still space to mingle in the foyer areas.
Only a couple hundred metres from the main Wellington train station and waterfront area so nice and central.
R.
Had a few issues that we bought to staff attention to which they were very quick to rectify the situation. Even going as far as upgrading our booking. Once issues were solved, all other aspects were lovely
J.
Nice place. Quiet, comfortable bed, spacious room. Excellent price when I booked. Very convenient to the train station. Decent selection of whisky in the bar. Breakfast is ok, but quite overpriced.
J.
Warm, soft, inviting beds. Tidy and modern decor. Staff went above and beyond to help me. In-room dining had a great selection. Only complaint was air conditioning, which was lack luster.
G.
Nice place with a great restaurant. Quiet and comfortable. Just make sure you get the parking sorted. Book the valet parking ahead. Having to organize on street parking is a pain. And expensive. 9 bucks for 2 hours. If you use the car fine but leaving it there all day . . .
D.
Amazing breakfast but the 10% credit card fee when paying for our room really sours up what could have been a perfect stay. Disappointing. For reference all other hotels are around 1-3%.
D.
Loved what you have done with the upgrade of the restaurant. The same great food and choice of wine so quality is always first. I wouldn't want to eat anywhere else. As always all the staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable . A great place to stay.
H.
Absolutely loved it. The room was amazing. The staff were so friendly and kind. I would definitely stay there again.
S.
The staff were so kind and thoughtful, leaving a bottle of bubbles in our room to celebrate our engagement. Views from the room were spectacular. Easy walk to central Wellington.
M.
The Rydges is a very comfortable hotel. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is as advertised, one of the best I've had. So good we went two days in a row!
L.
A nice enough hotel with an average buffet breakfast and good location. However, the hotel carpark was full and the staff weren’t knowledgeable on the prices of the nearest carpark so we had to waste time sorting it - they did tell us that we could park on the street for free at night but we then had to wake up at 7:45am to go down and pay for a day ticket. They also didn’t provide a plug for the bath tub and we had to call and wait for them to bring one up which was a bit strange.
G.
The room was ok. Location was fantastic.
The rooms were not clean upto the mark.
The boy at the front counter was unfriendly types.
The plates were greasy. Even after placing the tag outside the room to tidy my room. I guess they only did the bed.
I guess for that kinda of money one would expect a better service.
Although one of other front counter boy helped us to get a late check out as our flight was late night.
I guess they dont care about the customers as they know that hotel in a hot spot n people keep coming.
The showers need a replacement.. they r rusted..
..
I wouldn't stay here again for that kinda of a price.
I hope this review is noted.
Cheers.
G
A.
Great service and price. Breakfast didn't have enough variety for vegans or vegetarians.
z.
Had an awesome stay at Rydges. Was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the city. Special thanks to Danielle at reception for looking after us!
K.
Great location. Great breakfast services and pool . Enjoyed our stay here great shower and facilities . Tv could have been bigger and a few more utensils in the kitchen drawers but otherwise awesome stay
d.
Had a great stay in April. Breakfast was great, staff were friendly. Even offered to look after our bags while we did some shopping before going to airport.
F.
We often stay at Rydges both for work and for pleasure because of its central location and its quality and service. The rooms are lovely and we had a nice outlook.
Reception are always helpful and friendly.
This last time we stayed however, I was a little disappointed with the housekeeping. We stayed for 3 nights and did not get fresh towels after the first night. We also did not gett the bathroom toiletries replenished or the tea bags (I am not a coffee drinker) Small things I know but it is the attention to detail that makes a place.
We will of course stay again but would like those details attended to.
Thanks :)
T.
Was in town meeting friends for dinner check in was easy we were put on a top floor in a very nice room. Everyone pretty helpful with time changes in the foyer offering to carry out bags etc and topped off with a nice buffer breakfast.
D.
The place is lovely, the staff are very friendly and the room and service was up to standard. Definitely would recommend coming here. Would stay here again
E.
Great room and most comfy bed however only let down was the bathroom which was clean just not as nice as the rest of the facilities that Rydges has to offer. Staff are lovely and this hotel is in a great location
B.
Had a good stay here. Rooms were a decent size and had own kitchens. The breakfast is awesome, you won't need lunch!
We happened to stay here during a 7.8 magnitude earquake (the Kaikoura Quake). Staff went above and beyond, thanks to the chef lady who helped comfort my youngest kid who was very frightened. F&B manager also really helpful. The hotel was very understanding of our situation and made things easier for us.
B.
Spent a night over the weekend with my wife after we were part of a huge public event we ran. The room was nice clean and modern and was nice to relax in the bar downstairs with its amazing bar staff. Just a nice modern friendly atmosphere. After a long day it was exactly what we needed to wind down
B.
Amazing place and very friendly staff. Just a walk down stairs to a beautiful selection of nice restaurants and bars. Very nice luxurious rooms. Very delicious buffet for breakfast. Would recommend. ✌
R.
Great hotel with friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone wanting accommodation in the city. Thanks guys
M.
Great service, but room was dusty and outdated heating/cooling system. Breakfast has limited options so would only reccomend that for 1 day.
J.
A lovely hotel in most respects, with very friendly and helpful staff. But some very odd choices in fitout and so on. In order of running into them
* No clothes drawers at all that we could find. The bedside tables are solid with only a small drawer, there are none in the wardrobe etc. We spent our time with our suitcases open on the floor
* A bizarrely complicated European microwave, apparently designed to serve as a conventional oven as well. It took us at least 15 minutes to work out how to heat up a cup of coffee, which is presumably the only thing most people will use it for
* Some kind of heating strip behind the mirror, which comes on automatically
* Loud and annoying muzak in the swimming pool/spa area, normally one of the few public areas in a hotel where you can get away from this.
Most of this would be hard to fix in a short time. But turning off muzak and replacing bedside tables would be a good start.
Again, these were minor annoyances. But taken collectively, they detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay
m.
Had an excellent stay!
Staff are friendly
Hotel is lovely and clean.
Restaurant, pool, spa and sauna.
Excellent location with walking distance to town.
M.
We stayed last 24 June 2019. Nice ambiance. Room is clean. Bed is very soft and comfortable. Food is great. Family friendly hotel.
J.
Great hotel. Staff is friendly.. there is nice restaurant on the ground floor. Hotel is located close to train station / beehive and the lambton quay. So you don't need a taxi as there are lots of stuff to see at the walking distance
L.
Hotel is close to marina, had very comfy, clean rooms, we had small balcony. Staff was very friendly, really tasty breakfast. Free wifi.
R.
I traveled to the Rydges Wellington for only one night. They allowed both an early check in and a late check out as well as offering a capped taxi fare back to the airport.
Travelling with children is never easy so the extra time took away a lot of the urgency from my stay and allowed me more time to enjoy the facilities of the Hotel.
The dinner my family had was delicious and the waiting staff were perfect - there when you needed them but not when you don't.
J.
The meal wasn't as good as last time we found the lamb pie watery Steak was fab well done. $50 charge to our card - first time we've been told about this. Rooms are always lovely and staff are awesome..love staying.
S.
Fantastic facilities. Awesome restaurant, a pool, sauna, spa. Kids menu at the restaurant is great. Breakfasts were amazing. Nice a close to the central city. Walking distance to most places within 15mins. Highly recommend.
S.
Amazing time spent here, from ringing up to book til the time we left. Everyone of the staff does an awesome job and should pat themselves on the back. Staff are so friendly and very kind to the rooms being outstanding! Nothing wrong at all, will be staying back here in future and will be recommending this to everyone who stays in wellington!
T.
Another great hotel to stay at when traveling to Wellington. It is central to everything, no need for your car whether you're on business or pleasure. The rooms are great, the staff are very helpful, and the restaurant and food is awesome. Thanks team!
R.
New Zealand annoys me, all I can do is hand out 5 stars, I'm supposed to be objective but coming from the Uk I was spoilt on my visit compared to stay I'm used to for the money. The room we had was a corner room with an amazing view of the city! The room was just great and checking in very painless. It had a bath which is unusual which was nice after having a sore back. Can't fault it, really can't, just great stay and right next to the station as well, location, standard all perfect for the money.
B.
I travel to Wellington a fair bit for work. By far this is my chosen hotel of choice in this area. They get the basics right. The staff know how to do their job, from first name welcomes as you walk in the door to the extra touches in the rooms from time to time this place can not be beat. Nothing is ever a problem, and they always go the extra mile!
Plus there are all the other things you expect from a good hotel but don't always seem to get - The beds are so good, the rooms are fresh, warm, clean and modern - and its like this EVERY time you stay. there is no worry and concern of getting the "bad room" or the "noisy room" that you sometimes have with other hotels, they are just simply consistently great. Relaxing after a hard day in the office!
PS The buffet breakfast in the house restaurant is also one of the best around New Zealand!
Highly recommend the say - give it ago!
J.
All staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely room. Great pool and spa. Good location, close to waterfront, parliament house and shopping.
T.
This was an excellent location just one block away from the train station and within 10-15 mins walk to most locations in town including Te Papa, Cuban road, etc.
The breakfast that came with our room was one of the best breakfast we have ever had. The scrambled eggs was fresh and amazing, with multiple kinds of bacon, venison sausage, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and all freshly cooked. Along with fresh fruits, fresh milk, etc. We have to call out some great staff at breakfast for our stay. Julie our waitress and her manager Daniel went above and beyond to locate a tabasco for me that I liked with my eggs. And Julie even remembered to have it out for the next morning!
Thanks so much again for your hospitality Rydges Wellington. We would definite stay with you again if we come back to Wellington.
S.
Awesome stay so far really nice rooms! Checking in was easy yesterday thanks to Sam I think his name was who helped me find prime parking and how to get to it
O.
Good quality hotel in the CBD. We had a corner room with views across the city in one direction and towards the seafront in the other. Short walk to shops, cable car and government buildings.
O.
Staff went beyond their call of duty to help us during our stay.. Nice quiet rooms with comfy beds. Breakfast buffet is best we have had in NZ.
J.
Good. Room service is good. Ambience is good. Services at The Portland restaurant needs improvement.
H.
I stay frequently at Rydges Wellington and although the staff change over from time to time the service is always good.
it's good to see that some changes have been made to the decor in the rooms.
I especially commend the concierge service as they are extremely helpful and always provide me with exceptional service. The fact that they always remember me and call me by my first name is very much appreciated and acknowledged.
C.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rydges, the service was excellent, the facilities extremely clean and fresh. The breakfast was fantastic with the best selection I have ever seen. Can highly recommend this hotel.
G.
I stay every week from Monday to Thursday, and have been staying at the Rydges for almost a year now so know the hotel very well, and feel qualified to be able to write a review. What is great about the Rydges Featherston is that the hotel has a welcoming feel, and is consistent in many areas e.g. cleanliness, facilities etc. This means a great deal when you travel a lot. However, it is the staff who make it fantastic, right from Udji who very kindly does all my bookings, Ryan (the Hotel Manager), the front desk staff who are just lovely and always smiling, and to the breakfast staff who rock! (the breakfast staff really start my day off well) .Not forgetting the great housekeeping team who very kindly make my bed each day, and keep my room clean. Being well looked after means a great deal when travelling so much and being away from home, and family. For me it doesn't feel like a hotel. PS: The new Barista is awesome - the best soya flat white Ive ever had in NZ!
B.
Very good stay, amazing restaurant ther with one of the best breakfast buffets I've had and dinner was superb. We had an excellent waitress from America I believe. Overall, it was an great stay for the weekend.
C.
The best hotel ever. Very friendly staff. I had to book a room for 2 nights at short notice which was hassle free. Then to my surprise they upgrade me to executive suite free of charge with a fantastic view of Wellington City on the 16th floor!!!
c.
Rating this place as a four to five star hotel is an underestimation. Definitely with 6 to 7 star rating. Being my first time in New Zealand the staff were friendly, helpful, and outgoing. The suite we booked was overwhelming with comfort, cleanliness, and spacious. The breakfast buffet is mind blowing and filling. We got our monies worth and much more. I will definitely book here again anytime I come back to Wellington. Thank you Rydges for making my 2017 Christmas epic and memorable.
K.
Loved it!! We had the best experience ever! The breakfast was by far the highlight - Rydges really put it on for us for our weekend in Wellington - will not be staying anywhere else from now on - Thanks so much :)
C.
The hotel is quite contemporary and rooms are spacious enough. The bar area on the ground floor serves a good selection of drinks (except for beers), whilst the breakfast area has both a healthy selection and also healthy nutritionally (juices are fresh, yogurts are available, and there's something for everyone regardless of hunger level). The rooms have been fitted with a kitchenette area with kitchen utensils available by calling housekeeping, and the bathrooms are designed well too. Only caveat would be the data cap on the in house WiFi.
I.
Good hotel. Rooms good. Food good. Deserts in restaurant big share one between two
Well placed to explore Wellington waterfront at night to find other places to eat out if you want
S.
Loved the breakfast buffet set up ... so well presented. Very clean.
C.
Very friendly and helpful staff..
C.
Went to the restaurant for my sisters birthday and the food was beautiful! We requested a birthday dessert and the presentation did not disappoint although the actual brownie itself was quite dry and was not made to order. Other than that it was great :)
T.
Can never give a five star rating when people with disabilities are treated like second class citizens. Work colleague gets great views on 14th floor, I get 4th floor overlooking the street. He gets choice of beds. I get no choice then slugged $50.00 extra per night because I can't share a bed due to chronic pain. The room wouldn't have been accessible in a chair anyway. But at least the shower worked for me. When I have finished building my hotel, you can come and stay and see how it is done. I have money to spend, it shouldn't be so hard to travel.
R.
Great room. Fantastic restaurant. Views. Handy to central city sights. Friendly service. Any requests attended to quickly. Valet parking.
A.
Throughout my stay the staff was helpful and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. It's in a great location for exploring the city.
B.
Rydges is a fantastic place to stay. I usually stay there once a week for business. The staff are highly trained and deliver first class service. The rooms are always immaculate. The food is a very high quality.
I would highly recommned Rydges Wellington for anyone looking for something special.
A.
Great couple of nights. Really comfortable room and had a good conference
K.
Very friendly staff, surprisingly cheap for how nice the hotel is, they put the rugby onto a projector in the lobby for the all blacks. The beds were massive (king beds) - very happy overall.
J.
Great location
Clean spacious quiet rooms
Friendly helpful staff thanks Oakley you made our evening at Portlander
S.
A trip for business and pleasure. As it was school holidays I thought I would treat our family away for a few nights. Check-in was smooth, warm and welcoming... top marks. As parking is very limited we decided to keep it parked for the entire stay and just walked or utilized the amazing corporate cab services that were always readily available at the door.
We had an Executive suite on the higher floors. Partial views of the harbour towards Te Papa. Fantastic views of the Bee Hive and surrounding areas. Immaculate and tidy on entry.
Downside:
When we turned in for the night we noticed very minor stains like a coffee or chocolate drink had spilt. It was very minor. We never mentioned it as it was minor (about the size of a 10cent coin) but the bed still looked fresh and crisp.
Also when paying over $300+ a night I guess I do expect my room to be fully serviced. We had no toilet paper by day 2 and they weren't replenished when our room was made up. It seemed that little things like the coffee, tea and milk etc were also reduced a little bit more each day we stayed. Apart from that these rooms are well equipped. Fantastic washer/dryer. Awesome shower pressure. Modern and cosy.
Robes were available in our room for use. My son had a bath and went to put one on afterwards. He mentioned it smelt like cigarettes. We ignored his concerns until he put his hand in the pocket and pulled out a lighter and a snotty rag. We immediately pulled it off him and threw it on the ground and removed the second robe from the wardrobe also. I did mention it to reception. The woman on the desk said she will make a note of it. I don't really need to exclaim how uncomfortable and disgusting this made us feel to know that these items were used and just hung back in the wardrobe. Not cool at all.
Room service food prices are on par with most restaurants. Not delivered as hot to the room as I have had at other hotels and would have liked but in saying that if you want it fresh out the kitchen walk down to the restaurant. Portlanders is FANTASTIC! Breakfast is INCREDIBLE! And the morning chef is polite, welcoming - a good all round down to earth bloke who had that kitchen rockin' and rollin'.
Your staff are fantastic. Your premises are just beautiful!
Unfortunately because of the robe incident in particular I am not sure if I would return. You hear of things like this happening all the time and I never thought that would happen to us. It does kind of blow our confidence in Wellington Rydges and also other hotels because on this one incident - I feel terrible saying that as I NEVER give negative feedback.
Without the downsides a stay at Wellington Rydges can be pleasurable.
R.
It's always a good thing when all the staff are friendly but not intrusive, and all seem genuinely happy in their work and to make your stay comfortable - check-in and checkout was easy. Was only an overnight stay but we were lucky to have dinner at Portlander - delicious food and again friendly and knowledgeable staff - especially our waitress, I think her name was Molly, anyway she had the right balance of attentive but not intrusive. And she recommended a delicious wine for me so that's always a bonus! Room was great, no TV in the bedroom but that's not the end of the world.
D.
Friendly, clean and well priced place to stay. Close to great restaurants.
S.
Staff were awesome, my daughter and I had a blast, however I booked a month in advance, called even days before, and turned up at 930am to ensure a car park as last year my car got broken into at Wilson carparking, no one called me to offer me a car park, I feel this could be improved on. Other than that, a very cool place to stay.
C.
5 star rating for breakfast alone! 100% book it with your stay, you won't be disappointed.
Otherwise it's typical chain hotel, facilities were standard rydges. Location is 5 min walk from westpac stadium which was good for Beervana.
A.
Always a great place to stay. Amazing food, hot pool/spa, and helpful staff. Centrally located to everything neat in Wellington.
K.
An acrostic poem.
Receptionists are friendly & helpful.
You'll feel like a rock star there.
Do order a sea view. We didn't :(
Great, clean, well stocked rooms.
Evening sun through lounge windows.
Shopping and waterfront walks close
Rydges: Stayed there for WOW…
20% PGR discount on meals :)
Very hard to leave.
Tiny hitch: We put out sign to make up room on our last day and it wasn't done.
C.
Comfortable and relaxing.Good breakfast. Nice spa area but it needs a water cooler. Great stay.
r.
Best breakfast spread I have seen at any hotel. Super nice people and great service.
Room was good, bed was nice and comfy.
S.
Had a great time. Would've given five stars had the Sauna been working, kind of had my mind set on the Sauna. Had an awesome time anyway and the buffet breakfast was fantastic 👍
M.
Loved this hotel. The bed was the most comfortable ever. And the breakfast was amazing. All in all a great place to visit and i will 100% visit again
T.
Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely modern, clean, inviting, plush amenities. Fabulous place to stay... Didn't want to leave my room.
J.
very convenient if travelling by train...just a stones throw from the station. and lots of good places to take kids nearby waterfront, great cafés, frank kitts park etc. hotel facilities good too - pool, spa, sauna. and the breakfast buffet was great especially given that it was included in room rate
D.
Great stay .. friendly staff .. great mini bar and room
S.
The room was lovely as usual and the meal at The restuarant was fantastic. The only problem we have is that I am a priviledge card holder and you are never told what you are entitled too. We have stayed here lots of times and just found out that you are entitled to a 1300pm checkout and a complimentry drink. You should be told this when you check in
J.
A well located modern hotel in the heart of Wellington's central business district, very handy for parliament and only a short walk from the railway station. I am giving this hotel four rather than five stars as I felt the breakfast was a bit of a let down with limited options and the croissants were hard and stale. I had a steak in the Portland restaurant one evening and it was rather tough, certainly not worth the money, a shame as the breakfast and dinner at the Rydges in Christchurch were far superior. Another annoyance were the pillows on the bed, with a single one my head was too low and with two it was too high! The air conditioning was noisy and draughty and something of an afterthought. On the positive side the staff are friendly and helpful, the wifi works well and the rooms are a fair size with a good bathroom.
J.
Their website says unlimited free wifi. Not true. 2 GB limit.
The gym is a treadmill and a bike and barbells up to 5 kg.
Otherwise the rooms and restaurant are nice.
D.
Great value. Room included breakfast which was great. There is a pool and spa available for guesrs making for great family accommodation. Staff very friendly. Centrally located
D.
The Rydges Hotel in Wellington is all that you come to expect of a chain hotel. Large rooms, comfortable and large twin beds, coffee and teamaking facilities, an aircon system that is fierce and an overpriced mini-bar.
The bathroom has all the normal facilities but oddly lights up the bedroom when in use. Not great at 4am when one of you has a call of nature and wakes the other one up.
And our safe was broken.
L.
An excellent stay from check in to check out. All staff we encountered were friendly and happy in their job, and very accommodating. The pool is the perfect fun time for our 2 boys (3 & 8). The games room is an excellent distraction. -Note: the xbox would not work, but our boys were more than happy to make their own fun from the other cool stuff in there.
The Portlander is an awesome restaurant. The food 2nd to none, and the staff again were just excellent.
Breakfast on Easter Sunday was perfect. And the pan-cake machine a hit!! For a super busy breakfast service your staff were great with all the guests I observed - and the definitely earned their pay, and some that morning.
We absolutely love Rydges Wellington and always recommend to anyone travelling to Wellington.
Thanks guys - keep doing what you're doing.
K.
Awesome stay, beautiful dinner, tasty breakfast. Excellent friendly service.
M.
It's was actually pretty good, but the only things that let me down that day were the spa which I was looking forward to but yeah including the washing room there was hardly any onsite.
H.
Nice hotel conveniently located in downtown Wellington. You can do some light cooking in the kitchenette, just ask for utensils. The restaurant offers a great breakfast buffet.
J.
I'm a regular visitor (every 2-3 weeks) and Rydges is my preferred hotel. Location works very well for me as my office is on Queens Wharf. Especially good when I get a harbour view! I find rooms, quiet, a good size, always clean and when I get around to it, I like ordering a feather pillow. Now there's a thought - find out your regular customers preferences and anticipate them such as having a feather pillow already in the room. I often eat in Portlander and think they do one of the best steaks in town though the wine is very pricey. The staff are always pleasant and helpful.
Only two complaints - the air conditioners are very temperamental and quite noisy though I've now worked them out. I often end up switching it off and then it gets too cold in winter, and too hot in summer! The other is PLEASE change your room service menu! I've been coming now for about 18 months and I think it's only changed slightly in all that time. The lovely lady who delivers the room service says to me "You really like Chicken Caesar salad"! I smile and think "it's the only thing on the menu that I fancy - again"! I've mentioned it 2-3 times but nothing changes.
Otherwise all good and I will be back soon.
M.
A great hotel with friendly helpful staff and fantastic modern rooms. Though located in a busy street, there was practically no outside noise. Will stay again.
J.
Best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Good pool, room is clean ,modern and comfortable. Staff and friendly and helpful.
V.
Great hotel. Well trained staff and a solid breakfast. Abraham from the night crew was awesome, he was always helpful and polite. Many thanks for a great stay!
S.
Nice hotel, centrally located with good amenities. Probably a little over priced but to be fair so is most of Wellingtons accommodation. You won't be disappointed with the Rydges, just expect to pay for it.
M.
My last visit was a room on the 9th floor. This stay was on the 10th floor and this was much better as the extra floor allowed for a good nights sleep without disturbance from the traffic. Room was clean and tidy, very nice stay. My only suggestion would be to ensure the cardio room is actually open at 5am as advertised. It's very annoying having to ask for it to be opened. This has affected the overall score.
D.
I don't like your aircon system. God only knows how it works. The room was stuffy and too hot when I went in and fiddling with the remote didn't seem to do anything. If there's some sort of logic there I couldn't get it. Why can't you just have a heater and windows I could open? Alternatively get a decent simple system that works. Alternatively, send someone up with every guest with written instructions to give the guest a one hour session on how the stupid aircon works.
Everything else about the hotel was fine. Doesn't every guest complain about the ridiculous aircon - the people I was with at the hotel all said the couldn't work it and it was awful.
C.
Great hospitality... Close to everything... Great pricing.... Close parking.... Great food a very comfortable bed and no sound through walls... thanks for having us😊
B.
For the price we paid it was exceptional. Rooms were very clean and tidy and bed was comfy. Partner and i would use again.
C.
Pity they do not have courtesy car to the airport.
No airport flyer bus available now.
D.
Awesome. Friendly staff great pool and steam room, spa. Was relaxing. Rooms were sweet. Breakfast was great.
A.
Service was great. For the price of the rooms we would of liked dressing gowns and slippers in the rooms. There was what looked like blood on the spare duvet. Excellent breakfast.
M.
Great location, clean rooms and plenty of pillows with compfy beds but chrge 2% for credit card (unheard of in any civilised country) and car park was 20$a night 2 years ago and now at 30$ so soon I cant visit anymore because the parking is too expensive
A.
My brother and I just spent 7 days at Rydges in room 708 WOW what a awesome place, the lovely staff on the front desk a helpful and can t do enough for you. R.
Really upscale place but staff are balanced in their approach to service.
I had a fantastic martini; their spirits collection is a real treat.
Fair prices for such a nice place in Wellington.
F.
Great experience. Very friendly staff, very quiet room, great breakfast. Fantastic location right in the CBD and also close to the train station and the water front.
M.
... and my secound post with yet another five stars, the menu acknowledges the primary producers of this great success that culminates on our plates. Be they 16km or 46km away from where we sit and savour the flavours. We come from a city of great restaurants (across the ditch) and this experience is something to remember for all who try it.
E.
Average for the price you pay, nice breakfast, rooms are over priced
T.
Great hotel, no complaints. Was allowed a later checkout of 11am no problem and they held my luggage while I toured the city. Excellent location
C.
Handy to ferry, beds ok, room ok, parking situation poor. Staff were extremely helpful when we found that we had left some medication in the room.
J.
Loved it. Fantastic, friendly service. Very clean. Beautiful place and comfortable bed.
M.
Perfect room, 805! Ocean view, thank you so much for this.
Although, the internet would not work from my room, I had to open the door and stand in the door way to get the free wifi to work. I believe the walls and the door is just too thick to get the signal through it. I had good signal strength BUT the speeds was unusable. This room is the furthest away from the Internet Access Point which is situated in the hallway half way down towards the lifts.
Thanks for the most amazing breakfast too. Your breakfast has to be the best Hotel Breaky in NZ
Thanks guys, keep up the great work!
N.
proximity , dinner and breaky awesome. Rooms fantastic couldn't ask for better service, front line staff welcoming and flexible.
On Negative: preventative mtce could be asked to the Gym door latch on the inside. Got locked in on morning 18th August. Have to call reception via my roaming phone.
H.
Great service, room was heated on arrival and I suggest turning on your TV for a convenient explanation of what they have to offer.
G.
Good hotel, excellent service and handy to train station and stadium with only a 20min walk into the city.
P.
Nice stay. Staff don't exactly go out of their way to help. In the 'Ocean' view room the painting in the bathroom needs replacing as mouldy and smells.
J.
Consistently great service, good range of well appointed rooms and a rather nice on-site restaurant. Highly recommended for a Wellington CBD stay for business or holiday.
B.
Had a nice stay this weekend at Rydges. Check in was smooth, check out time was extended to 1:00 pm. Harbour view room was excellent . I have been here before and this place never disappoints. Definitely recommended
J.
Lovely venue. Wait staff were cheerful and friendly.

A.
Nice hotel, inexperienced staff which shows dramatically in service. Gym a waste of space. Pool looked good though.
M.
Very comfortable but practically no assistance for folk folks with low vision.
k.
Was lovely. No problems.

M.
Warm and friendly. Clean rooms and fantastic staff. Loved it, will stay again. Thankyou for making us feel welcome!
V.
I had to leave my bag at the Rydges after my husband was taken gravely ill in Auckland and I had to get up there quickly. After he rallied somewhat I phoned Rydges to find out how to get my bag. The young man on the phone (I think it was Adam), said that he would handle it completely and ring me back. He did this, had organised a courier and got it sent up without me having to do anything. I so appreciated the service he showed me and the compassionate way in which he dealt with my problem.
R.
One of the most pleasant hotel rooms I have had. Really nice people. It was good experience. Highly recommend.
R.
We had a lovely view of the harbour. The room was very nice. Very friendly staff and a great bar and restaurant.

e.
Loved Rydges, a bit more than some others but great view from the 16th floor, well appointed room, comfy King bed,$250 including breakfast for two at the Portlander was money well spent. Now our Wellington Go To.
R.
Great hotel, love the relaxed vibe and awesome breakfast buffet. Beds are super comfortable too...and some great views over the harbour
A.
Was a great stay, facilities and location fantastic. Quite pricey, expected that this would be the case. Location so good for Sky stadium.
S.
Staff here make the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the bar and restaurant inviting but the staff are just the best. Always friendly and helpful. Why would you stay anywhere else when you are in Wellington?
C.
From arrival to departure 2 days later, excellent, excellent, professional service. Room spotless, room service professional.
L.
Stay at this hotel whenever I am in Wellington and have for many years. The staff are friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Restaurant food is excellent. Highly recommend.
A.
The room and bed is really comfy
The air conditioning is bit tricky though make sure you selecting the right setting otherwise will be too hot or too cold
A.
I really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely views. Comfortable bed. Helpful, friendly staff.
M.
Great place to stay. Close to the wharf with all its fine restaurant's and bars, the train station and the center of town.
Very warm welcome from friendly staff.
R.
Centrally located, spacious rooms, friendly staff and an extensive breakfast buffet with the worst coffee machine of our trip. All in all: recommended!
S.
Love this hotel. This is my 4th stay. Small details like having the full range of sky channels, free fast wifi, delicious food and room service, balcony, I pod dock and so on.
All close to the centre.

Very nice modern rooms and helpful staff.
Only thing was parking, had to park near the warf, 1min walk not much of a problem but it was $30 a day for parking.

J.
My fiancee and I went there to kill some time before catching the train. Their Viennas are delicious, staff was super friendly and a nice, classy yet casual ambience in the heart of the CBD. Will definitely be back.
L.
Good location, services, but air conditioning unit looks like it came from the 80's. It is a hazard when you have young children around.
A.
Loved it. Rooms are well appointed and the restaurant is always busy. It's a very popular place to eat.
L.
Rooms were clean. Only complaints were to the shampoo and soap smelled a bit funny and the gym is terrible but the rest of the stay was great.
