L.We enjoyed staying there. The room felt luxurious and tastefully decorated. The coffee we had in the lobby was good too. It must be the French influence, for there was a very strong, but pleasant perfume throughout the hotel. Professional staff. Parking is across the street and expensive - ask about EV discount or EV free parking.

Me and my partner stayed for 3 nights at Sofitel and everything was good from reception staff to breakfast to the awesome room service, the eye fillet was so tender and tasty!
Highly recommended for anyone staying in Wellington for few days.
A.IT FINISHED WITH A BANG! Just when I thought that this hotel reservation would be a total disaster because of all the confusion during the rebooking.
As expected ... Their signature dedicated service for their guests, always to please and willingly adjust whatever they can to accommodate your request and make you feel valued. (really, it did prevail).
*I was dealing with a very challenging issue during my stay, but the staff made it bearable in all possible ways they could.
*I would also like to acknowledge the entire team of Jardin Grill, I did not have to use an EpiPen, and I got to have regular food! It was an excellent prix fixe option.
I don't have any complaints, but a swimming pool will surely give the hotel -- top-notch!
Oh wait, the turndown service 😂😂😂😂😂 I want to ask why is it for two guests? Initially, it made me feel a little sad because I am only by myself, but then I thought, is it automatic for two people, or is it because I drink so much tea and you want to make my life easier? 😂😂😂 and for the two sets of slippers, actually WHY NOT? Hahaha! Right or left, I go up and down my bed. I don't need to worry because there will be slippers for sure!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oh, bless you. 🤍
M.A reasonably priced hotel, the cuisine from the restaurant kitchen is very well presented and beautifully cooked, the restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive, they made the night!!
B.Did not stay in the hotel but waited in reception lounge waiting for access to Le Jardin restaurant. Very stylish and comfortable lounge with very attentive staff
N.Great stay, beautiful hotel and amenities with very friendly staff, though the $40 valet parking fee was a bit of a nasty surprise when there's no other parking available.

G.Stayed two nights there this week. Went to Jersey Boys performance. What a fabulous stay. All the staff were very helpful, courteous, and only too willing to make it a great stay.
The Restaurant meal was superb. You won't be disappointed.
The Hotel's General Manager, Raymond Faulkner, has a great team working for him. Everyone takes a pride in making sure you have a fabulous stay. The decor of reception, bar area, and dining restaurant are all very warm and welcoming, as the photos will indicate. Thanks Team
M.I love staying here! Staff are amazing, rooms are beautiful, breakfast is always good and I’ve never had a bad meal at the restaurant.
My highlight however this time, has been Michael who has been in charge of the club lounge! What an amazing asset to Sofitel he is, friendly, hugely capable and customer service orientated. He has also been just as fantastic with the younger members of our family as he is to the adults, which they have really appreciated. Gold stars all round :-)
S.Nice room, breakfast overly salty, scrambled eggs like rubber, coffee mediocre {no crema} Honestly why even send it out like that? and not even tomato sauce for the hash browns and sausages.

A.Had a great stay here. Room was very modern. Had enough power ports beside the bed to charge my laptop, phone and smart watch. Also had ports to connect laptop to TV in room and Bluetooth speaker. I forgot to take pics of the room but I got some of the bathroom. Would stay again as the room rate was pretty cheap at $205.00 a night.
J.Friendly staff when checking in. Velvet parking has great service. However no breakfast time was given, called the reception, no one picked up the phone, waited and waited, the phone was picked up and was hang up without saying anything. This is certainly not the service a hotel should provide not even say a 5star hotel. Disappointing!!! Won’t bother to call again and went down the next morning about 6:45am, there were a couple of people sitting there eating, but it seems the food are not well prepared, coffee machine was off. The coffee tastes no good at all. When checking out, I was charged breakfast although my breakfast was included in the booking, after pointing it out, the issue was solved. A bit noisy at late night, probably from the lift. Water pressure is low.
The restaurant cooked perfect steak, recommended!

Every mouthful was a treat (I'm pretty sure i actually moaned a little when I took the first bite of my pork belly it was so good), the drinks were tasty and creative, and the service was excellent. I couldn't fault a thing. Definitely recommended! (And a big thank you to the chef's and the staff)
L.Rooms are clean, but amenities and services are lacking. I do find Sofitel Wellington not upto standard of a 5 Star hotel, to be honest it does seem more like a 3 star hotel, the room was quite cheap but I wouldn't say we got value for our money staying here. On the plus side close to the beehive.

We dined in on Saturday night. My husband thought the pork belly was the best he had ever had. The staff are charmingly friendly. Unobtrubsively attentive and unfailingly at their posts, ever helpful.
It was a very enjoyable stay. I liken it to staying at a well appointed private house with a very good host and hostess.

S.Great hotel. And great staff. This is a good hotel for business . But wouldn't day pleasure. If you do not mind walking everywhere then it's great. Example. Cuba street is not as close as one thought. But right across from parliament.
Facilities great. And the rooms are really large and cute. Food and beverage items are also good as well.
I went from airport to hotel . On uber and paid 24.10 was pretty cheap. Taxi can be around $50 to $80. So beware there.
