S.I've stayed in many great hotels around the world over the last couple of decades. I love the smaller boutique styles. We live in Wellington and due to covid we decided to stay in town for our wedding anniversary. The Intrepid is world class. The rooms are stunning, fabulous comfy bed, lots of treats and the bonus of a great little bar (Puffin) on the ground floor. Short walking distance to many fantastic restaurants and bars. Thank you to the Intrepid team for making our stay special. We'll be back. Highly recommended.
K.What an exceptional hotel! A lot of attention to details, they have certainly thought about the little things. The feeling is dark, cozy, and moody - a perfect little snug to come back to after an evening out in Wellington. At first, parking could seem like a hurdle, but there are plenty of public parking garages around, and you won’t need your car while you’re here! Everything is easily within walking distance.
And the breakfast delivery is the best kept secret!
M.Staying at The Intrepid Hotel is everything you would want a great hotel to be, and then some. The rooms are stylish and warm. The windows open. The bed is king, firm mattress with comfy top and quality linen. All the fixtures and fittings are chosen with care and placed perfectly. The lighting is superb. But then, things get elevated with so many thoughtful touches I could not possibly name them all, nor would you want me to - these pleasant and constant surprises are what elevates The Intrepid into somewhere that you will want to return to again and again. I do however have to mention the bag of freshly squeezed OJ, the best croissants from local Leeds Street bakery, butter and jam, that was outside our door in the morning. Phenomenal.
S.The team there went above and beyond to make our stay special, so many little extra touches. It’s an awesome location. The decor is so unique and stylish but still super welcoming and comfy. The wine bar is amazing. Could not fault it, will definitely be back. Would recommend to anyone looking for a boutique hotel with lots of personality wanting to be looked after with a dash of luxury!
G.The best hotel ever!! At the heart of Wellington's hustle and bustle, there is this little gem: The Intrepid. It feels like you are stepping into the home of some very cool, creative and welcoming friends. The team is thoughtful, attentive and just simply amazing. The decor is to be inspired by for your own home. The only problem: you will not want to leave ;-)

The reception is small but the incredibly efficient staff are quick to serve and there are only a small number of rooms anyway. The bar has a fantastic selection of the world wines (the huntress viogner is particularly nice) and great cocktails.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, the sheets and beds are lovely.
There is only one thing I would change and that is the shower curtains!
J.Had a wonderful stay for a short weekend break in Wellington. Beautiful furnishings and artwork, clean and well thought out rooms. You have really thought of everything. Perfect location, just a short walk to the nearby shops, eateries, bars, galleries etc. Complimentary snacks from the mini bar, pastries and orange juice in the morning were much enjoyed. Super comfy bed aswell!
P.Such an amazing place to stay! The staff were awesome, and the pinky bars left on our bed was a cool touch. Every detail had been carefully considered and the room super quiet from outside noise. We can't wait to stay again. :)
C.This is a small and perfectly formed hotel. Beautiful building, fantastic bar, extremely efficient check in/check out, lovely rooms, good quality linen and towels, really nice touches such as pinky bars for turn down and pastries outside the door for breakfast - and the best location. Really great. Thank you!
M.Quite a simple equation really...if you need a fantastic Hotel in Wellington - stay here. It is brilliant. Every detail is thought through and executed perfectly.
