The greeting I got when I check in was amazing they were super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at this hotel the room I had I really clean and was had a lot of space to move around. The room service was really good as well. And the cafe they have on the cafe/bar they have located in the hotel is real good as well.
O.
Very central location. Great view from my room. Staff: pleasant, polite and generally helpful.
Hotel in serious need of maintenance and refurbishment. Bed comfortable.
On the downside:
Peeling paint. Single glazed windows, black mould, furnishings all very old and chipped, marked and beaten up. Bathroom fan not working. Toilet seat needs to be removed and underneath cleaned - filthy! Really filthy. Side table by bed had something sticky left by previous occupant ( eww). Railway crockery - got a decent ($2) mug for coffee from reception. Bathroom very small - headbutted the wall on first time sat down on toilet, ouch!
Cheap, ok for very short term stay. Probably would try somewhere else next time, wouldn't be inclined to stay there again.

We had an awesome stay here. Great service. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. Recommend staying here.
S.
Very average. Nice reception staff. Sub par rooms. Fridge in mine wouldn't even shut do to too much ice.
S.
Very good hotel with cool view and easy access to the Cuba street. Cheap but still excellent.
E.
Convenient location. Didn't like the that parking was so expensive + bathroom had mould on the roof.
J.
Was absolutely wonderful place.
The bed was a dream. Probably the best bed I've slept in, in a hotel.
Staff were extremely helpful.
Great check in check out times
Very clean.
Well sign posted for covid not over the top
N.
Awesome rooms and hospitality close to everything and will definitely come back
Z.
was clean and tidy but to be honest a bit on the tight side
H.
Downstairs staff lack good customer service. Rooftop staff while cheerful are more interested in each other than focusing on paying customers. I hope this was just an off day. A favourite venue in the past but not during this visit.
G.
Value for money ... Well situated. A great place to stay but I would suggest you NOT take the breakfast offer! Very plain for $9 per head per day whereas for $7 walk-in you get a very fancy Breakfast!!
S.
Small, clean and tidy room. Well located and competent staff. Shower is fine but loses pressure sometimes. Comfy bed. Noisy because window seals haven't been replaced... you can get lots of street noise...hard on the light sleepers. There's a bar on the rooftop but it wasn't open when we're there...don't know if can be a problem...or maybe a good place to have some drinks before go to bed.

We arrived at Trinity Hotel without a booking, tired after a long journey. We received a warm welcome from the reception staff and had a restful, comfortable night. We are recommending Trinity Hotel to our friends.
M.
The two staff members I dealt with were very pleasant. The hotel foyer is polished, clean and tidy. The room itself was very average. The mattress sagged in the most surprising and hilarious way, and seemed to have moved the sag to a different zone of the mattress on each of the three nights of my stay. If the door wasn't placed at such an angle so as to be awkward to get into my room, I would have seriously wondered if the housekeeping staff were actually swapping out the entire bed each day, it varied so much. The carpet is just bordering on threadbare, and the sheets are crackly like paper
The window seal was totally ineffective. This meant that each night as I tried to sleep on my ever-entertaining sand-dune, I was treated to a positive symphony of eerie whistles as the air pressure changed wildly with every frantic gust of wind outside. Which meant, because it's Wellington, that was about every six minutes. My ears were constantly popping, the temperature in the room wavered constantly, and the rattling of the window frames and the wall-mounted TV meant that I slept for about 3 hours each night. I mean, the seals were so poor that the wind pushing through the closed window moved my bed across the floor. With me ON IT.
The bathroom was tidy, shower too small, but clean and bright.
The team were lovely, the room accoutrements very sparse, but it's a central location, and not too expensive a place to be horizontal in the dark on a soft surface.
H.
Great location. Bar and Cafe downstairs and roof top bar. Staff friendly. Close to everything
P.
Well we had to ask for towels on 2 out of 4 nights. Carpet not cleaned waste paper basket not cleaned
Left shampoo conditioner on tray in bathroom was still there this morning when had shower. Had to sit on bed as no chairs provided. Did not sleep very well for the first 2 nights as they have bar which all the young ones visit and stay until about 3am not very impressed. If you want to stay there make sure you don't get bedroom facing Willis street
W.
Very good room. 4 pods of milk not enough.
Service and help was tops.Shopping in Willis Street was fun.
Thanks for carpark
We will be back
S.
Needed accommodation super last minute and there wasn't much available. For the price, I was happy with what we got. It's not fancy by any means but it's super central and walkable distance to everything. It's not somewhere I would make effort to go back to but it did the job and I would stay here again if needed. Staff were friendly and the room was clean.
s.
Good place if you want a nice budget place. super close to everything. Only downside was we payed for a premium room and instead got one of the basic rooms.
G.
We recently stayed at this hotel and recommend it to anyone wanting a good experience in Wellington.
We were visiting the North Island when i was struck down with a stomach problem. The staff at this hotel could not do enough for my wife while i was in hospital for the week.
This hotel is well located in the centre of the city and has a restaurant i would recommend.
L.
The staff are excellent. From the front desk thru to the restaurant they all were friendly and helpful. This hotel is centrally located, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. We will be back.
Linda and Bob
J.
Comfy bed, good shower, clean and tidy. Price is just right. Always stay here when we visit the capital, as it's handy for everything. Pity there's no loyalty programme.
M.
Awesome hotel
Staff were great
Nice room very clean comfortable bed.
Highly recommend this hotel.
I will be staying here again
R.
Stayed here for a day during my weekend trip to Wellington and had a pleasant stay overall. I was here before the check-in time and had to be at the Westpac stadium for the cricket. The front desk executive was understanding of the situation and provided me a room about an hour before the standard check-in time, although he mentioned the room wasn't cleaned yet. They did a $10 charge on my credit card as security but mentioned the charges would be reversed during check-out. The housekeeping staff were very polite and did a good job getting the room ready. The room was in the second floor facing the church. There was no air-con in the room but, as I was used to hot tropical summers, the fan was sufficient. Found the bed to be comfortable. The area around the hotel seemed pretty safe at night. The positives of this hotel are its location and proximity to restaurants. I could hear some noise from revelers around 11 PM, but it wasn't much of a nuisance. During check-out, the front desk staff reversed the charges on my credit card and also offered to store my baggage, as I planned to go around the city before going to the airport in the evening. Throughout my stay, I found the hotel to be well-maintained and on the whole, it exceeded my expectations.
E.
Love the view I had level 5.... Great staff beds were perfect.... but when about full asleep wall would shack headboard on bed... when next door neighbor close the door.... but lovely room and can get room service...
C.
Pleased we booked parking, a must here as only limited spaces. Otherwise warm, friendly, clean and comfortable to stay.
G.
Reasonable priced hotel situated in a good position in Wellington if you are a tourist and wanting to visit the local attractions. We made arrangements to park our car in the car park underneath the hotel which was very handy. There is of course an extra cost for parking. The room was a decent size with a fan (no air-conditioning) and clean. The roof top bar has a view across the city but not down to the harbour. The reception staff were very helpful with directions and general information.
P.
I experienced the Roof Top bar of the Trinity Hotel. Great place, comfortable, relaxed setting, friendly staff, good choice of drinks, you can't beat Wellington on a good day especially if you find yourself on this Roof Top Bar!!
G.
Just what we needed! Bar fridge, tea and coffee facilitie, bathroom and a bed! Perfect for our spontaneous trip away childfree. Clean and tidy. Great restaurant attached. City center one block from Cuba st. Walking distance to most things if you like walking .
M.
Great location for exploring the Wellington CBD. Easy to find on the high side on the corner of Willis and Dixon Streets. Standard small hotel room. A bit noisy as the air conditioning unit was just outside our window, but tolerable for a two night stay. Staff seemed helpful when requesting anything. Reasonable pricing for the location.
The Arborist restaurant/cafe is part of the Trinity hotel and worth eating there.
P.
great location and the rooms were clean and nice. rooftop bar was amazing spent every evening up there. The hospitality was friendly and helpful and I am amazed at the other negative reviews our experience was great and would definetly stay there again. ok it's not 5star but certainly value for money. ok it's a bit noisy but you are in central wellington it's a busy place. I would totally recommend for a weekend if you have a car you can also book a carpark which we did..thank goodness.
C.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, tidy and warm. Bed was a bit tired with a saggy mattress. Lovely shower with plenty of hot water. Good location with not far to walk to Te Papa. Biggest downfall was our room was on the intersection side, therefore I had a poor sleep with traffic stopping/starting at the traffic lights outside. This made it very noisy and having a very broken sleep didn't make for such a good start the next day. Would only recommend a room away from the busy street.
D.
We stayed here for couple nights, the guy at reception was really good as was the gentleman on security. Room was expected but you get what you pay for. It was very clean I must say. Only downside parking was limited and also difficult to find the parking garage. Reception did advise that you need to book the parking before check in. Situated right in the heart of the city so not too bad.
P.
Room was clean and nice decor, the bathroom had a great shower, plenty of hot water was very modern. The hotel restaurant was really great, food was good value and really nice. The only problem I can think of is that it was quite noisy, mainly on the Saturday night, otherwise everything else was great. Highly recommend this hotel.
M.
Location to all attractions and CBD very good... everything within 10/20 min. walk. Front desk staff very helpful and accommodating.. storing our luggage and calling taxis when needed. BUT...room very small and dated... badly in need of doing up. It felt 'tired' and very dusty. Cleanliness an issue in the bathroom. Black mildew in the shower and a cracked hand basin which should have been cleaner.
D.
The rooms were compact but still had most of the things you'd need for a quick stay at Wellington city. What I love most about this hotel is its location - it's literally a 3 minute walk to Cuba Street, right in front of a popular cafe (The Hangar), and a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. Very convenient for people who want to explore the trendy spots of Wellington CBD. Customer service was nice, the people at reception were friendly.
C.
A good location in the city and although our room was a little small with two 2 year old children it was adequate for the amount of time spent in the room. Staff however were outstanding - kind and helpful.
We had an excellent breakfast both mornings and would recommend the hotel to any traveller.
L.
The pluses. Friendly front desk. Conveniently located in the CBD. Food court across the street open until 9pm. Additional power points installed near the bed for charging your electronics. Bathroom is relatively clean and new. The minus. Rooms are basic old and tired. Sheets had a odd smell to them. No airconditioning. Hot and stuffy in summer. (They did have a fan in the room which was nice)
M.
For the price it was a great place for a short overnight stay. Location was great and close to the city. Only thing was that there was no air con.. Wouldn't recommend staying here during the summer. Apart from that staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and tidy. Cool rooftop bar and restaurant.
T.
Seemed like a nice place to stay, but wasn't that great. The decor in the rooms was a bit dated, and the bathroom was frankly unclean. There was hair all over the shower tap from the previous guest, and lots of mould in the shower itself. The shower door also screeched with the sound of a thousand undying souls which was neither pleasant nor relaxing. The electronic door card system was malfunctioning whch meant multiple people on our trip (staying in separate rooms) had to get the receptionist to unlock the doors.
C.
Good location and friendly staff. The rooms are functional - the few we have stayed in are smaller, and the beds perhaps not the most comfortable, but its not an expensive location so fair for what is paid. The rooftop bar is a good spot of a warm summer day.
R.
It's well placed, easy walk to CBD, Michael Fowler Centre, the waterfront & Te Papa etc. Staff are very helpful. My rating would be higher if the bed had been more comfortable - I would definitely return if I could be sure the beds were up dated.
n.
We booked the king/split room so had two single beds which made the room a little cosy. Otherwise the facilities were just what we needed and very close to town. The restaurant (The Arborist) in the premises was lovely
M.
Not a great hotel when you pay $50 /night and don't find a decent bed.. the bed I had , didn't have a good mattress, always had a back ache next morning because of the poor quality of the mattress.
Apart from it the room can have air con or split system for that amount of money /night. It's not great or I wouldn't say good.. it's just OK!
D.
Great comfortable place to stay. Close to everything in Wellington. Friendly staff and very helpful. Would give it 5 stars but when we stayed the elevator didn't write and we had to walk 5 stories up and down the stairs with a toddler
B.
Location very central. Lovely hot, pressure shower. Clean. Rob, at reception, has been really helpful with directions. All the staff have been friendly and helpful. Thank you! I will be back.
E.
Central location with very reasonable price. Love their unlimited free fast WIFI which is a rare breed. Room is clean, albeit no air-con which can be warm during summer but they provide fan.
V.
Enjoyed my stay back in June. Rooms a nice and clean. Friendly stuff, very professional. Reasonable price. Hotel is close to everything. Thanks guys :)
Definitely first choice hotel. when I visit Wellington again.
O.
I really enjoyed my stay at Trinity the room I had was a standard twin bed room bit it felt luxurious the location is superb with bars restaurants and shopping facilities nearby. Reasonable prices and friendly coustmer service. 5stars
C.
Nice place however the noice is quite loud at night but a great location top 10 restaurant and great staff friendly reception happy to provide information and guidance. Excellent breakfast great service. Thank you guys keep up the wonderful work. ..be joyful.
B.
The staff were friendly and the room was clean
Only gripe I have is ventilation or lack of. I'm sorry but a poxy little fan just doesn't cut it !
O.
Stayed here for one night and had a pleasant stay overall.I love that it's just a walking distance going to Te Papa Museum..Great location for exploring the Wellington CBD..👌😊
L.
A lovely place to stay for a business trip. Cosy, tidy, nice decor, but a little tiny. Bathroom was small & shower door leaked water onto floor. Carpark is very small.
M.
Old, in need of modernisation. Our room was very noisy as it was close to the lift.
Small space but the bed was super comfy with an electric blanket.
A.
I stayed here over 4 nights to attend the ITx conference.
The staff are very nice and friendly, the rooms are kept in a good clean condition and, right across the road from the hotel, there is an international foods plaza.
Wi-fi is free but speeds are so slow that if you rely on internet for work, I would advise connecting to a paid AP.
C.
Good location. Lots of places to eat near by.
Tidy room but very noisy refrigerator.
M.
Small rooms but for the price it was fine. Really lovely staff. Parking is very limited and we were very lucky to get a park. Close to lots of food and drinks.
s.
Affordable accommodation, great location close to main shopping areas, car park available, disable entrance, but VERY noisy at night. So noisy they offer eat plugs in rooms.
J.
The hotel is all about the location and convenience. The rooms are simple, clean and contain all you need.
However the rooftop bar is epic
S.
Everything was good but there is no colgate in the washroom. Staff was polite. Good furniture
L.
Yeah still great value for money.
As for the music in the attached bar.... geez bring ear plugs. A total atmosphere killer.
D.
In the city centre was great for us. Only thing I would have liked was a microwave
D.
Always enjoy my stay at the Trinity on Willis street, the staff are very friendly and helpful and give me a great home away from home when I am in wellington performing and taking workshops. The restaurant downstairs is brilliant and the staff there are always amazing at making you feel welcome, especially if you are travelling alone.
N.
Friendly service, easy check in and out. The the rooms aren't anything fancy, but are good for the price. Make sure your try the bar downstairs.
N.
Not too bad. Shower a bit to high for us short people and pretty noisy from the road works but nonetheless would stay again.
W.
Really nice room. great comparable price(s).Great Staff help. Breakie bar & evening bar area. great. We'll be back.
W.
Reasonably basic accommodation, but clean, comfortable and rooftop bar is nice. Some good views of the city.
N.
Very small rooms, hard beds, no microwaves or sky t.v. but an awesome rooftop bar. And priced well for location
s.
Very Clean and nice hotel the rooms are very comfortable and almost every facility is available at ease in the center of the CBD wellington , great variety of food available in around 10 minutes walk 24 hours shops are also available to buy the milk , bread , juices water and fruits for new comers in night .
few arabic food shops are also available open till 10 PM , Qahwa is also available near by ,

J.
Clean comfortable and excellent front desk service.
J.
Great place to stay right in the middle of town. They have a lovely roof top Bar
S.
Room a bit shaby. Fan was broken and sheet had black mark on it. Toilet was weird too. But location was good and price.
R.
Handy central location.
A bit noisy at night and the carpark is a bit of a nightmare to get in and out of
However the ajoining bar and restaurant are top noch.

(Translated) Centrally located and very simply furnished. But it's all there, what you need. Too bad that the minibar was not refilled in between. A plus: due to the current heat wave with 30 ° a fan was provided.

(Translated) Tidy hotel in a great location right in the heart of Wellington. The service was very friendly. The room was so hot in the summer time and the sounds of everyday driving and other work from the street awakened us quite early. Room level was perfect: hairdryer, iron, kettle, mini bar, TV, fan, etc. were found. The hotel also has its own rooftop bar and a good-quality restaurant.

Siisti hotelli erinomaisella sijainnilla aivan Wellingtonin sydämessä.
