The most amazing team running the Motel. I booked last minute & although they were fully booked, still managed to squeeze me in. As a solo traveller, this made my whole trip. Friendly, close to town, clean rooms. Thank you so much!! The homemade shortbread was absolutely delish.

This was a great place to shake out after finishing the Paparoa track. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a spa bath - great for post tramp aching muscles. They had washers and dryers - $5 each per load and they supplied laundry soap. Nice linens, towels, comfortable beds. Helpful staff with recommendations for walks, sightseeing and restaurants. Very good value.

Very friendly and helpful managers/owners, the home baked shortbread on arrival was a tasty bonus! Room spacious, very clean, quiet, parking at the door. Lots of information to hand and room service food was an option if needed. Great place, definitely recommend.

Our family recently stayed at Buller Court Motel while in town for a funeral, We were very pleased with our experience - The motel was exceptionally clean and spacious, providing a warm and inviting environment that made us feel comfortable during a difficult time. Very friendly check-in staff who gave us the yummiest hot shortbread upon arrival, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch, greatly appreciated after a long drive. The motel rooms are stocked with everything you might need, such as air freshener, spare blankets and a heater in each room (needed in west cost winter, kept us cosy!) its location is central to main centre, conveniently close to where we needed to be. We felt very comfortable and safe throughout our stay. We highly recommend Buller Court Motel for anyone seeking a clean, safe, comfortable, and hospitable place to stay while on the West Coast.

Stayed here over the weekend. What a lovely quiet stay. Cleanliness overload which cheered me no end. On arrival we were greeted with shortbread homemade by David, lovely touch. Good shortbread David keep on baking. Unit immaculate and all bases covered in the Spa bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

The room was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of chairs. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. Warm freshly baked (I assume) shortbread biscuits welcomed us. A very nice touch! The place was so clean as house keepers took pride in the place. The amenity was of a high quality and the bed was also comfortable. I would recommend this place to whoever stays in Westport.

Warm, tidy and comfortable room with all the necessary amenities, including an umbrella in case it rained and a choice of pillows if you are particular about that sort of thing. The host was friendly and gave us fresh milk and a plate of yummy shortbread when we arrived. Had a very nice stay and would book again.

I had the pleasure of spending time at the Buller Court Motel in Westport New Zealand. This is definitely the place you want to stay if your looking to enjoy Westport or use as a base to explore and enjoy the northern part of the South Islands west coast.  The motel is on the main road but it provides a safe, quiet haven free from noise.  The units are the cleanest and best appointed I have ever seen, comments reinforced by other guests.  Also a treat was the outdoor settings and the beautiful west coast themed gardens and plants. The owners (Dave and Debby), and staff are consummate hosts, providing courteous and engaging service, from fresh baked shortbread on arrival to free WiFi, EV charging, laundry facilities, DVDs, Sky TV, undercover parking and access to a well-provisioned Herb garden. They are also happy to chat about Westport, the coastal region, attractions, cafes, restaurants, takeaways, and just about anything really to ensure you have the best, most comfortable and well-provisioned stay with them. I arrived as a very welcome, well looked after guest and I left with a real sense I had stayed with long acquainted friends.  Prices are reasonable for the quality provided.  As they also own and operate the Westport Spa Motel right next door they can provide the quantity and quality of rooms to cater for the needs of most tourists, trampers, mountain bikers, white baiters, surfers, car and motorcycle groups, corporate guests, clubs and tour groups. 10 out of 10 guys, you nailed it!!

Amazing place, comfortable rooms and lovely staff and can borrow DVDs! The rooms have a way of making you feel comfortable, unlike some hotels where you feel uneasy with everything you use. The room was clean and the shower had great water pressure. Owner let us use the laundry after hours to get rid of stains and they give you fresh milk when you arrive. The kindness was well appreciated. A must stay!

Just checked in again on way back from Nelson (stayed here on way to Nelson before). Honestly it’s a few extra km to drive to Westport rather than Greymouth but it’s well worth it. This place is excellent. Excellent warm friendly caring hosts, the rooms are spotless and very tastefully decorated and new. The 2 bedroom self contained villas are the best. Also Westport is a nice place - everything on the one long straight street makes things very easy. Excellent coffee at Empire coffee, have a subway if needed and a full size supermarket. Also drive to look at the colony of seals nearby - I actually was more interested in the stunning huge rocks jutting out of the water with the waves crashing over them - lovely short walk at a little incline to see the seals etc. Sorry was a long review but I hope more people check out Westport and this accommodation. Greymouth is just depressing to be honest. Hokitika is ok though but wasn’t as impressed with accomodation and more expensive accommodation. I checked out 5 places in Westport and we agreed this was the nicest. Hope the review helps someone

An awesome stay here at Buller Court. I have stayed next door a few times at the Westport Spa Motel, which this place seems to manage. This time I decided to try this one to change things up. As always, lovely friendly service at Reception, with fresh milk (No UHT rubbish yay!), and still warm, melt in your mouth homemade shortbread brought across to my room soon after checking in. I love that the parking outside each of the rooms are undercover, meaning you don't need to unload/load the car in the rain. Not needed on this trip to Buller however, with absolutely perfect weather. The Room was spacious, with comfortable furnishings, and a large ranchslider leading out to lush gardens - complete with friendly Cat :) Lots of nice little touches, like a provided Umbrella for walks into town, Filtered Water in the fridge, heaps of Soaps/Shampoos ect. The Motel has the Sky Decoder, with Sky Sports ect. You can also borrow from a huge library of DVDs from Reception to watch. The Kitchenette has a Cook Top and Rangehood, with plenty of Cookware/Utensils to cook a decent meal. Not that you need to cook in Westport, with so many excellent Restaurants to choose from! The Denny Dog and Portside are consistently perfect and my Go To. Walking distance to town and both New World and Fresh Choice Supermarkets. 5 minute drive from the Airport. On the main drag (Palmerston Street), but no issues with any road noise. Small amount of noise from fellow guests, but nothing to bothersome at all, especially considering they were a mass group travelling together by the looks of it. Comfortable bed, with good quality and clean linen. Slept really well, I definitely thought it was more comfortable than next door at the Westport Spa. Price was excellent and I will definitely be back :) Thanks for a awesome stay :)
