Chris and his wife were very welcoming and professional, the unit's were well presented , clean and walm with great views and all day sun.

R.On our recent trip through New Zealand we stopped by at Carters Beach and stayed at this beautiful brand new Motel. Location is perfect right at the beach. The rooms are bright (full front windows), spacious and fully equipped with stove, microwave and fridge (if you feel the urge to cook or eat-in). Being on holiday though we rather checked out the nice restaurant which is ideally located next door and were not disappointed. Our little 4 year old daughter felt right at home which was also accommodated by the extremely friendly owners Erica and Chris. Even though we did not make much use of it we enjoyed the cable TV and the complimentary WI-FI. There is plenty of on-site parking available. Bathroom, well, not much to say as it is brand new, 10/10. At night it could get a bit chilly outside but that was no problem for us as the heater in the room worked great (and insulation was good too - no drafts).
There are quite a few things to visit around:
Seal colony (about 10 mins drive),
Pan Cake Rocks in Punakaiki (40 mins drive)
Golf course right by the sea (3 minute drive)
We would definitely stay there again and can only recommend this motel to anyone who visits the West coast.
